She just wanted to borrow a toy for a little fun... How could they expect her to resist? On one hand, conversations such as the one Oliver and Nate had in front of Alison were commonplace. Regular sibling banter was just as common as tossing crazy scientific ideas and theories back and forth. Alison could hardly keep up with the latter, but she still listened in earnest. So long as she did not have to listen to them argue for months on end about the same subject (on the bright side, if she were given a test on propellers, even now she was pretty sure that she'd ace it), she found their lively discussions fascinating. The "boys" were at work for the day, and so Alison had taken it upon herself to do a bit of testing of her own. Technically she hadn't asked for permission before borrowing one of them remote control models, but surely they wouldn't mind. And even if they did...hello, she was their sister. It was kind of in the job description! She sat on the steps to the Entrance Hall, remote control in her hand as she watched the little model whiz by overhead. She might not have possessed the scientific savvy that her brothers did, but it was fun. She might not have understood precisely what kept the model up, unlike those aforementioned brothers, who not only knew but came up with several of the mechanisms, but she did know that she was enjoying this. She grinned as the model zipped around the room, climbing up several feet at her command. Then one of the wings fell off. Alison let out a squeal as the model airplane came careening straight for her. She was able to duck out of the way in just the nick of time, as the machine came to an unceremonious landing on the stairwell. Looking back toward the stairwell, Alison's eyes were wide with horror as she saw what became of the model airplane. Pile of scraps was more like it. Alison Driscoll was not normally the swearing type. She was Katharine Wright, after all, a minister's daughter, raised in the late 19th century to be a proper lady (yet also reminded of her rights despite being a member of the so-called fairer sex). This, however, was not the 19th century. This was the 21st century. This was not the time to worry about being ladylike. Thus, the first words to go through Alison's head were Fuck they are going to kill me!The freshman began to gather up the assorted parts of the model aircraft that lay scattered on the stairs, all the while wondering how in the world she was going to fix this before Oliver and Nate came back from work. She was stretching to pick up a screw that had somehow landed a few stairs above the rest when she saw someone's feet, and looked up to see someone standing there. Straightening herself out at once and dusting off her clothes, Alison coughed, trying to play off what she'd been doing. "Would you take a look at this mess! Someone's got to clean it up..." The literal mess, of course, was the least of Alison's concerns when she had a bigger mess to clean up. Word count: 481 To: Open! Feel it, breath it, believe it And you'll be walking on air
Go try, go fly, so high And you'll be walking on air Honestly, Skylar had no idea what it was he was supposed to be doing anymore. He was pretty sure he had finished everything on his list, and thus was going to start on things that he had been putting off forever. Well, maybe he would if he didn't feel like taking a nap or finding a certain other leader's panel member to pounce. It was entirely possible the other reincarnate was busy though so maybe he wouldn't bother him. Hm, he would have to ponder on what he was going to do. Maybe he would just go back to his room and stare at a wall even. Well, actually no he never did absolutely nothing so that was out. Thus he was left pondering when he heard a bit of a crash. Well, that definitely got his curiosity and he was figuring that it was one of the resident inventors that were lurking about. When he walked around the corner and saw the remnants of what looked like a model plane he was pretty sure it was one of the Wright brothers. What he hadn't been expecting though was the person he found himself looking down at while she seemed to be grabbing a screw of some sort.
He chuckled at her response and crouched down to pick up a piece. "Mess indeed, you plan on cleaning this up Wright?" he asked making a bit of a Wright pun out of it since it was pretty much a given with any of the three of them. He had to say, he had not expected the Wright sister, and he imagined that her breaking a plane could spell nothing good for her. Ah well, maybe she would be able to fix it? He wasn't sure how good she was with that sort of thing, certainly it seemed that she wasn't that great at flying it, unless of course it just went screwy and crashed on his own. Electronics were a finiky sort of creature so that was entirely possible. One little loose wire or one not tightened screw could mean disaster depending on the item. To give Alison credit though to anyone else this would look like she was happening upon it or she had borrowed her brother's roommate's plane. It would be no surprise to anyone if she had been in their room and borrowed a toy and started playing with it. After all, she was a little sister and thus it would make sense that she would take her brother's things and mess with them a little bit when she got bored.
He was speaking from experience there being that Cecile had a tendency to mess with him all the time. Recently she had been doing so by hanging out with Raven. He was almost positive she was doing it just to irritate him at this point, and he hated to admit that her plan was working. He better not do anything to harm her or else there would be a very scorned genius on his hands. Skylar may not be able to take Raven in a physical fight, but he would find another way to deal with him if the situation arose. Anyway though he had a freshman in front of him and a broken plane. He wondered idly if he would even be able to fix it. "So, on a scale of one to ten how much trouble do you think you'll be in for this explosion of toy plane?" he said with a bit of a chuckle. He wondered if mr popcorn would pop his lid. That could be hilarious to watch. Actually, he had seen Orville become rather irritable before and he had to say it was both aggravating and hilarious.

Watching as the person in question bent down to pick up a piece of the wrecked plane, she sighed in relief when she saw that it was Skylar. She was happy that it was no one in Anti-RSOR. While she could easily play it off as a little sister interested in what her brother was doing, the fact was that she'd been playing with a model airplane. Given what the Anti RSOR already knew about her brothers (Oliver especially)...well, that was just too dangerous. Not just for them, but for her as well, given her precarious position. A member of the leader's panel of RSOR was fine, however. Alison caught the Wright pun and smirked a little. "That's the plan, yes." Cleaning up the mess on the stairs would be easy. It was cleaning up the larger mess that would be harder. She knew more about planes than the average person, given her large amount of exposure in her past life, but did she know how to put them together? No, not exactly. On top of that, was the model plane even salvageable? She didn't even know if she had all the parts. For all she knew a screw could have gone flying clear across the room at impact. Skylar's next question was the tough one, the one that Alison was worrying about herself. "Honestly...I think it depends on what they were using this plane for. If it wasn't finished, I think I'll be in less trouble than if it was just about ready for the testing stages." She was pretty sure that it was the former, actually. The wing had actually come loose, something that Alison doubted would have happened if the item in question was a finished product. That said, it had to be near finished, or else it likely wouldn't have flown in the first place. She knew full well that she was going to catch it from Wilbur no matter what, and chances were Orville would join in as well. She was mainly worried about Will, though, contrary to what Skylar likely believed. Nevertheless, she'd wrecked a project in the making. Neither of them would be too happy, and she wouldn't blame them. She'd touched something that wasn't hers without permission. If Nate came into her room and nabbed something (though she couldn't see why he would, honestly), he'd be hearing from her too. "Don't suppose you'd be any help putting it back together either. I don't think they have any schematics lying around to help us." Not for something this small. Again, parts might also be missing. Chances were that the boys would notice something, especially Oliver, who was quite detail oriented. Essentially, she was screwed, but you couldn't blame a girl for trying. Especially since she was a Wright. Word count: 480 To: Skylar/Cal Notes: Nada

Feel it, breath it, believe it And you'll be walking on air
Go try, go fly, so high And you'll be walking on air It seemed that Alison had definitely not actually looked at him when he walked up because it seemed that her demeanor changed a bit when he started talking. Then again, with the way she tried to play it off he supposed he should have expected that. A leader of RSOR was a relief for a reincarnate doing something they probably should be doing only in their room or at least not in a hallway. They really needed to crack down on that certainly. One person had figured out their secret already, and he was trying to avoid anyone else figuring it out. Thus he was not sure on how to approach this situation. Seeing as they hadn’t exactly added any rules there wasn’t much he could do other than give her a look of be more careful with that type of thing. Though she was probably going to get a lecture as it was, so he wasn’t even going to bother with telling her what she should or should not do. Sure he tried to do so to his sister, but he didn’t want the Anti-RSOR to overhear him giving her orders or something because it may make it known that she was a member of RSOR, and he didn’t want everyone to be harassed the way that some members were by them.
Hearing her response he about figured that. ”No surprise there, it also probably depends on whether you actually crashed it or if it failed all by itself.” he noted as well. Seeing as if they did not build it right then it wouldn’t be her fault it crashed to begin with. Though if she did in fact crash it then she would probably be in more trouble being that she was a Wright after all. Shouldn’t she know how to at least slightly work a toy plane? Her brother at least should have shown her that much whether that was in a current life or past life though was questionable. Or, he supposed it was possible she had never been shown at all. That seemed a little odd though, but it was also entirely possible. He certainly hadn’t show his sister about his electronics work, but that was mostly because it was a little more dangerous than piloting a remote plane. Well, sure you could get hurt by running it into yourself on accident, but otherwise it was pretty safe. Unlike what he had been doing…which was basically almost electrocuting himself on a regular basis.
Her next statement though made him chuckle. ”I may be of help. It would not be the first time I have put together a model plane. Sure this may be a tad different because of modifications, but it shouldn’t be too bad. Though, it is possible that they may be confused about things that could be a tad different because there is no way I’ll be able to get it exact.” he noted with a bit of a shrug. Hey, close enough would be fine right? Well, one of the brothers would probably raise some sort of fuss over it still, but if it was together and worked then what was the issue? They could just modify it again like any other time.

What Alison was doing was really that dangerous, considering. Nevertheless, she didn't want Anti-RSOR asking any questions of her, let alone those sorts of questions. As RSOR's premier spy in Anti-RSOR, she needed to watch herself more than the average person. She doubted that anything would come out of her playing around with a model airplane, but she was still relieved. Relieved that the situation hadn't gotten worse, that was. Alison did know how to work a toy plane. Honestly, she was fairly knowledgeable about the workings of a real airplane too, at least a vintage one. She hadn't entirely ignored the multitudes of discussions that occurred under the roof of 7 Hawthorn Street. Some of it might have gone over her head, but she did pick a few things up from it. Fact also remained that despite being in a new body, she was still the second woman to fly in an airplane ever. "I don't think it was ready for the test phase yet, if I have to be honest." Alison admitted. "They were still discussing it before they went off to work." Usually Oliver and Nate were careful about what they put on to the test phase and what they continued to fiddle with. And Alison had started off slowly. She'd just gradually gotten a bit carried away and took the model higher and higher. That was when the wing came loose and the plane went kerplat on the staircase. Alison's eyes darted across the staircase and she even peered over the side to make sure that there were no spare parts lurking around anywhere. It was tempting to make a quip about Skylar's luck with staircases, but she refrained from doing so. Nevertheless, she placed it back into her arsenal in case he annoyed her. It was always good to have something to fire back with. Having four brothers in her first life and one brother presently (well, one biological...technically she had two of her past brothers at Riverdale), it was something that a girl learned quickly. She was surprised to hear that Skylar had a bit of experience in this field. Then again, RSOR was always full of surprises no matter where you turned. Walt Disney had blue hair in life number two, looking a bit like a cartoon character from one of his movies. Richard the Lionheart had a fear of beetles. It was the 21st century, which meant new experiences for everyone involved, no matter if their first life was in the 20th century B.C. or the 20th century A.D., or any time in between. "You've put together one before? Well that's definitely works to our advantage." Well, her advantage technically, but Skylar was talking as though he was seriously thinking about taking this project on. Therefore, the 'we' seemed to fit. Alison couldn't help but laugh. "Oh, they'll notice. Still, it'll look a lot better when it's put back together than it does now, even if there are some differences." Again, the boys were particular about what they did, and she was almost positive they'd notice even small differences. Still, she'd feel a lot better presenting them with a fixed plane that they could modify to their liking (again) than a pile of scraps. The optimal goal was presenting them with the plane they had before they left for work, but it looked as though she'd have to settle for this. Word count: 597 To: Skylar/Cal Notes: Oh well, she'll take anything at the moment, it seems. XD

Feel it, breath it, believe it And you'll be walking on air
Go try, go fly, so high And you'll be walking on air He pondered what she was saying about the plane probably not being ready for testing. Her reasoning was that they were still discussing it before going to work, and honestly it made sense that it wasn’t ready. After all, it was slightly in pieces, and finished planes are not typically in pieces on the floor after a little flight. Unless of course they were built of fail, but he was pretty sure the Wright brothers would punch him if he suggested their plane was made of fail. Yeah, definitely would get hit for even suggesting that, so he was just going to keep his mouth shut on that little matter. ”Unless they make planes that fall apart now…that makes sense” he noted with a hint of amusement. He figured he wouldn’t get swatted at for that innocent little comment unlike what he had been thinking. It really was a good thing that Skylar cared about his public appearance enough most times to watch what he was saying most of the time. Sometimes though, he just was too preoccupied by other things to care, and thus he ended up saying things that were quite harsh. Ah well, he was horribly blunt and didn’t understand how people took such offense to some simple criticism at times, but then again he just didn’t understand people in general.
Despite that, he still somehow managed to make it onto the Leader’s Panel and have a boyfriend. Sure the way they got together was horribly odd, but it seemed to work for them and thus he was going to go with it. He was picking up a few pieces around him that he could see while keeping an eye on where the stairs were at all times. He did not want to misstep and end up falling down them again. He’d already had to explain a broken nose and stitches from them to his mother, with much disbelief on her part, and was not looking forward to having to explain something else. Especially seeing as Cecile would certainly be all over his case about telling her, and the girl was irritated at him as it was. Which was honestly, completely his own fault due to the fact that people had an attraction to do what they were not supposed to do or were warned away from doing. Many just got some sort of thrill out of it, and he hoped his sister knew what she was dealing with. If she didn’t now, well then it was only a matter of time before Raven stopped being nice, he always did, or until he slipped and let his true nature out. Then she would realize he was right and apologize for acting the way she did. Right? Well, at least he hoped that would happen, without her getting hurt in the process of course.
Skylar was pondering on what parts he had lying about and what parts they would have to find on the stairs somewhere. Obviously things like the wings and the rest of the body would be the most important. After those pieces though, the chips that matched the frequency of the controller and plane were most important. Sure he could always leave that out and let them wonder why the plane would not respond at all to the controller, and as funny as that would be he was pretty sure Alison would get in trouble for that. Unless, of course, she told them that he helped her rebuild it, and then he would have some angry Wrights on his hand with that. Ah well, he’d worry about what he had and didn’t have when the time came to put it together. He should have some old parts lying around anyway so it shouldn’t be a big deal. He had been listening to her speak while he was pondering, and chose to answer her now that he was finished with his assessment of what they needed and what could be left unfound. ”I have, my parents didn’t exactly let me take apart important mechanical things at first for fear that I would injure myself. That didn’t stop me from doing so, but it did keep the electrocution down a bit.” he said with a bit of a chuckle. Her statement about them noticing made him shrug. ”That is definitely a good point a whole plane is better than a pile of scraps.” he said with a smile. ”Let’s collect everything and then we can wander back to my dorm to put it together because I would rather not do so in the middle of a staircase to be honest.” he said simply.

Actually, Alison knew that the plane was not entirely ready for testing. It was obvious by how it's maiden flight ended. That and the conversation her brothers had previously pretty much sealed it. Maybe she could tinker with it a bit herself...tinkering was never her strong point, at least not compared to them, but maybe something had rubbed off on her? Alison couldn't help but grin a little at Skylar's comment. "Don't think that's the intended purpose, no." Like Skylar, Alison had to watch what she said in public, which fortunately was fairly easy for her. She wasn't as awkward as her brothers, who were far higher on the shy scale than she was. In fact, Alison rather enjoyed being around people and socializing with them. Therefore, it was a tad ironic that Oliver, the shyest of the Wright trio, had a job recruiting new members (something that he struggled to do sometimes when the recruits were difficult), while the most outgoing of the trio had to practice keeping her mouth shut. As Skylar gazed over the parts, Alison did as well. She found herself wondering if perhaps she she look over the notes, if her brothers had left any, and also tried to recall the conversation she'd witnessed to see if any clues presented themselves there. Skylar's next commentary not only brought her out of her ponderings, but caused her to laugh. "Boys and their machines." Alison stated, rolling her eyes but smiling. She knew very well that boys like her brothers and Skylar were different. Regardless, the boys she'd grown up with in both lives were that way. She could scarcely recall the fire that Orville and his friend Edwin set at age six, having only been three herself, but apparently she'd ran to get her mother straight away. Who knew what would have happened afterward? It suddenly occurred to her that Cecile could relate to this aspect, and pondered talking about it with the other girl at some point. Certainly she had some stories. Alison knew that she did. Cecile grew up with one eccentric brother in this life, Alison had grown up with two in her past life and one now! Oh yes, she definitely had experience with boys and their machines. Alison nodded in agreement with Skylar's assessment of the situation. "Sounds like a plan. Also less chance of complications." She decided to leave 'complications' there, because really, it applied to all sorts of things that could happen. They could be working and have someone come barreling down the stairs and destroying their hard work in one fell swoop simply because the person wasn't watching where they were going. Not to mention Skylar's bad luck with staircases. The sooner they got away from the danger zone the better, as far as she was concerned. Less chance of someone seeing them as well... Word count: 499 To: Skylar/Cal Notes: She's so tempted by that staircase quip. XD

Feel it, breath it, believe it And you'll be walking on air
Go try, go fly, so high And you'll be walking on air Yeah, so it seemed less and less like this plane was meant to be flown. More like they were still building it and Alison took it upon herself to just test it a little bit to see what it could do. Obviously, this was falling apart all over the stairs and thus needing rebuilt. Ah well, little sisters did have a tendency to do such things without really meaning to, and so he wasn’t going to blame her. Sure he was not exactly the same with his own sister, but he doubted the Wright would be either. When it was someone else’s sister it was understandable, but when it was your own things became a bit more biased. Thinking that they should have known better than to touch their things or play with things they were not supposed to. Anyway though, he was fine with rebuilding the plane to the best of his ability, and now would have to figure out how to go about doing so.
Seeing the grin at his comment he chuckled a bit. Well, he would hope that wasn’t the intended purpose. ”I can’t imagine what good that would do to make a plane that simply falls apart. Well, unless of course you want the pieces to fall on someone and injure them or something like that.” he noted with a bit of a shrug. He doubted that was what the brothers had in mind though. Though that wouldn’t be a horrible idea if you knew the right person would pick it up and play with it. Otherwise such a plan was definitely not very practical, and being that they were the Wright brothers’ planes, they were a bit precious to them so they wouldn’t just want them in pieces everywhere. Anyway though he needed to make sure he had the vital pieces being that the body would be a bit hard to replace unless he had scrap metal lying about along with a way to put screw holes into it. Which, honestly, he probably did but that was a manner of finding it then cutting and bending it to the right proportions along with other hassles that he did not want to go through being that he would probably end up slicing his arm open or something and need stitches again.
Her statement got a bit of a smile out of him as he watched her roll her eyes. He did suppose that she was stuck with this sort of thing in both lives, and thus knew what she was saying there. Yeah, guys like him and the wright boys were definitely a different sort of child. Always up to some sort of trouble and confusing their parents with what they were doing. Either that or they were worrying about them being that things could catch on fire or something ridiculous such as that. He had it happen to him on several occasions actually and was pretty sure everyone in the electronics field had the same issue every so often. They probably did not have the issue as often as him, but they would find it every once in a while he was sure. Seemed she agreed to him wanting to build the plane in his room too. Definitely good being that he was terrible around stairs and anyone could run through and question what the hell they were doing. The implication of planes around Alison should probably be avoided at all costs due to her current status too so if it was in his room then nobody would bother them. Well, his roommates might, but otherwise it would just be the two of them. He held some of the parts while Alison had the rest and stood up to his full height rather than crouching on the top of the stairs. ”Let’s get going then wouldn’t want them to come back to something half finished…” he said quietly before leading the way to his dorm room.

This wasn't the first time that Alison had taken a remote control plane out for a test run without permission. In fact, one such incident where she 'borrowed' a remote control plane made by her past brothers resulted in her being recruited by Isa. Clearly, though, things shifted out of her favor this time around. The plane that she brought back to Room 220 came back virtually unscathed before, which was far more than could be said about this particular model. "A kamikaze plane of sorts? There might be a demand for it..." Alison knew, though, that the intended purpose of this model was not to be crashed. Granted, it was not so large that it could not be rebuilt, but nevertheless, she doubted they'd be too happy that she borrowed something of theirs without permission. Then again, if they knew what all she was keeping from them, she wasn't sure if they'd be happy with her either. It occurred to her that Skylar was in on more of what was happening in her life than her past brothers, and that made her feel a bit ill. Not that she had anything against Skylar (especially if he was going to help her mend this situation), but the leader's panel knew more than her own brothers. Alison hadn't exactly been a normal child either. No reincarnate was. In her case, however, she'd been more apt at hiding it. It also likely helped that she'd been a teacher for several years in her past life, meaning that acting out her past life could believably be seen as a little girl playing school with her dollies. They didn't need to know that some of the names that she used were names of actual students. Not just students of hers either - One in particular had been a flying student of her brothers as well. Besides, for the most part they were more concerned with the fact that Nate had a far more obvious 'plane habit', as he referred to it. Alison couldn't help but grin a little at this thought. Alison rose to her full height as well (which wasn't very tall, at one inch above five feet), the miscellaneous parts still held tightly in her hands. She wanted to make sure that she didn't lose anything, because how was she to know what was important and what wasn't? She had a good idea of what was needed to make the thing work, but one simple screw lost in limbo could spell trouble. In fact, that might have been what resulted in the disaster in the first place for all she knew. "I'd prefer not. Then they'll know something's up, and I'll have to listen to Nate ramble on for hours about how I shouldn't touch his things." Another eyeroll along with a small smile. Not that he wouldn't have ample cause to, and she realized this... Word count: 497 To: Skylar/Cal Notes: As am I? Wewt.

Feel it, breath it, believe it And you'll be walking on air
Go try, go fly, so high And you'll be walking on air Skylar had certainly dealt with remote control mechanics before when he was a child. They were some of the first things he had taken apart to see how they functioned when he first discovered his past self was good with such things. At the time he didn’t realize that he was reincarnated, but hey at least his interest wasn’t taken as too odd. Some people had that issue, but he was one that definitely didn’t due to his middle name being the same as his first past name and the fact that his dad was interested in electronics as well. Thus he was able to blend in a little more than most of the other reincarnates and while his parents thought it was a bit odd that he would rather take apart a mechanical car than play with it, they left it to just curiosity. Besides, it didn’t seem like he had much trouble putting them back together so they weren’t too worried about the waste of money by him just destroying the toy. Though, when he started improving them they were just surprised and impressed. Fine with him being that it just left the security of RSOR unscathed on his part.
Hearing her statement he had to give a shrug. ”Maybe you should suggest that to them see what they say about it?” he noted with a smile at her. They could take some parts that weren’t that great and create popping planes out of them just for amusement. That would be some definitely dangerous amusement though he had to say. Sounded more like something the serial killers of RSOR would do rather than the Wright siblings. Still though, it might be an interesting idea for them to ponder over just to see if they could even do such a thing. Interesting idea to ponder, but he would have to leave such a thing for another day being that he had a plane to build. When was the last time he had even built one? Certainly it had been years since he had played with little toys such as this and while he understood why the Wright brothers did, such things didn’t hold his interest for long. He was for more interested in computers being that they weren’t around in his first life and he seemed to have a bit of a knack for them in this life despite that. You would be surprised how many people are just willing to get rid of old, not dead, computers and thus he had quite a collection of them. Could probably do about twenty projects at once if he wanted to, not that he could keep them all straight, but he would be able to have them all up on different computers at least. Most of those were at home though being that he didn’t really have room for all of them in his dorm, and it was a miracle anyone could get around his room at home with all the things lying about in an organized chaos.
He saw the parts that Alison had in her hands and eyed the ones in his own and from those he assessed that they had the majority of what they needed. If they didn’t have it then hopefully he managed to throw some parts in with the things he brought to school with him otherwise they might have a problem. He was hoping it would not come to that though, and so he started walking towards his room. ”I have no idea how long this will take because it’s been years since I have put one together, but we better get started.” he said with a smile at the girl. This presented a new challenge for him honestly and he was looking forward to something other than just code and computers for once. Typically he wasn’t a huge fan of random side projects, but he could use the break he figured, thus to his room to start. He walked down the hall and opened his door and gestured Alison in while making sure Errol wasn’t about. The girl being seen with a leader’s panel member by someone of the anti-rsor was not a good idea being that Alison was trying to fake her way into more information on them. Thus after she was in his room he shut and locked the door because you never knew what some of them would do. Opening the door of an RSOR member definitely seemed like something they would do to try and see what they were up to.

At Skylar's suggestion, Alison gave a laugh. "I don't know, that seems like a waste of parts, and they have a limited amount of funds to work with..." Limited was an understatement. They'd had limited funds before, using profits from their bicycle shop to conduct their experiments. Now? They were high schoolers with part time jobs and occasional money from home. No, they didn't have much to work with, though if she knew what Skylar was thinking about the bad parts, she'd likely be a bit more receptive. Alison did know more about planes, both real and remote control, than one would think. She didn't often let on just how much she knew, partially because she had to hide her involvement from RSOR with most in Riverdale anyway, and partially because that was her brothers' invention, not hers! The freshman followed Skylar to his room, feeling a bit odd about going to a guy's room that was not her brothers', even though it was very clearly platonic (she was involved with Oz, though the vast majority of Riverdale did not know it). She made sure to keep a good grip on the parts that she was carrying, all the while glancing around every once in a while to make sure that no one saw what she was carrying. Fortunately for Alison, she made it to the dorm without incidence, and was able to breathe a sigh of relief as she watched Skylar close the door and lock it behind him. She set down the parts at the first convenient spot (carrying a bunch of small objects and making sure that you didn't lose them was harder work than one thought), then turned to Skylar. "Hope it doesn't take too long. The hope is to get this back before the boys even notice that it's missing." There was no doubt in her mind that they'd likely notice as soon as they made it back to the dorm. She nibbled on her lip nervously. "Well, can you make any sense out of that mess over there?" Alison indicated with a jerk of her head toward the pile of parts. "I know what the end product looks like as well as what some of their plans were, so let me know if I can help with anything." Never had bearing witness to her brothers at work come in handy as much as it was right now. She just hoped that it would be enough. She pulled out her cell phone to take a look at the time. "We have an hour and a half until they get off of work, so roughly two hours before we really need to worry." She informed him, grateful that they at least had some time to spare. Feel it, breath it, believe it And you'll be walking on air
Go try, go fly, so high And you'll be walking on air Hearing her statement he shrugged. ”I can’t imagine fully or half broken parts costing anything. People typically just want to get rid of them. Dropping working parts on someone seems like a waste though unless you plan to go and pick up the pieces later.” he noted with a shrug. Skylar knew the issue with limited funds; after all he sometimes worked as tech support to pick up extra cash so he could buy parts. Mostly though he had family members that would give him what they no longer wanted like old laptops or the like. Anything electronic he would take whether it worked or not. Chances were though that if he combined parts from other things he had been given he could get it working again, but he tended to not really mention that being that they got something new and it served his purpose of obtaining more electronic things to play with. Anyway though he had a plane to build and should figure out if he still had instructions from when he used to play with them. He should, somewhere to get the basic idea of it at least. He doubted he would be able to completely remake it from memory after all since it had been quite some time since he had fiddled with such a thing.
They made it to his room without incident and Skylar placed the objects on his desk before looking through a stack of notebooks he had next to his desk. They were all dated on the sides so he had an idea of when he had made them rather than looking through all the books for something he remembered the general year of mapping it out. Picking up one of the older ones he flipped through it until he found what he was looking for. ”This is probably not anywhere near the same plane, but at least it should give me a rough idea of how it goes together.” he said with a smile. Then she started saying about how she hoped it wouldn’t take too long and that she could get it back before it was missed. ”Well that depends on how much time we have honestly.” he noted with a smile. Then looked over at what she was referring to as a mess now. He chuckled a bit and picked them up before adding them to the pile. ”I’ll manage it somehow.” he said with a smile and then she said she knew what it was supposed to look like along with some of the plans. Well, that would be a tremendous help. ”Any chance you are any good at artistry, or am I going to have to contact an RSOR artist to draw it from your memory?” he asked before handing her some paper and a pencil. ”What their plans are would be a definite help because then I can figure out where some of the pieces go based on that. Well, at least I hope so.” he said before picking up some of the pieces he already knew and fitting them together like a complex three dimensional puzzle. Hearing the time limit he pondered for a moment. ”Well, in an hour I’ll be able to tell you how much longer it will take I feel, because I haven’t really looked at all the parts yet and by that time I’ll probably have a good idea what most are and have at least some of it together.” he noted before picking up a pair of glasses and putting them on his face before going back to putting some of the basic pieces together.

Hmm, he did have a point there. It wouldn't be a good idea to use new parts, but used or broken parts? That might be a different story. That one she might actually consider running by her brothers. Then again, explaining how she heard the idea would be an entirely different story, as she couldn't exactly admit that she and Skylar got to talking because she'd accidentally destroyed one of their models. Alison stood back and watched as Skylar flipped through a stack of notebooks. The freshman didn't question him, figuring that he knew what he was doing. Growing up with the brothers that she did, she was also wary of such a question resulting in a long ramble about what was inside of those notebooks. While Alison didn't mind listening to it (she had plenty of practice, even if most of it did fly over her head...pun intended), now was not the time to get distracted. They needed to get to work. Well...really, Skylar needed to get to work, but Alison would do what she could as well. It was her fault they were in this predicament in the first place, after all. Skylar was correct in his assumption about his sketch and the now wrecked plane. "No...it's definitely not. But I think you're right. I mean, I can remember pretty well what it looks like, so if you're doing anything wrong, I'll correct you." She didn't understand the mechanics behind it as well as her brothers or even Skylar, but she understood enough of the basics that she was confident she could set Skylar on the right track if he happened to drift in the wrong direction. She did know what the end product looked like, after all (well...as far as they'd gotten toward an end product, since it was obvious now they weren't finished), and that in itself would be a useful tool in putting the darn thing back together. The next question concerned her artistic talents. Alison arched a brow at this one, not expecting it, but quickly receiving an explanation as to why the question was posed. "I can try, but I can't promise it will be beautiful, no." Alison admitted. Next the senior asked what their plans were for the plane, and she explained what little she knew on the subject, hoping it would at least be of some help. Alison watched as Skylar grabbed his glasses and pushed her own up a tad. That was one unfortunate part about wearing glasses - Sometimes they slipped down, and it could get annoying. Having worn glasses in both lives, Alison knew that feeling all too well (although eyewear styles had changed - for the better, in Alison's opinion). The reincarnate pulled up a chair as she watched Skylar work with curious eyes. She noticed a few parts and pointed them out, separating them from the rest. "I know these went with the tail...you can tell by the color." Maybe she could help by at least sorting out the parts? Anything she could do, although she also wondered if her attempts to help might actually be hindering Skylar. Oh well, she'd find that out soon enough. Feel it, breath it, believe it And you'll be walking on air
Go try, go fly, so high And you'll be walking on air Skylar didn’t particularly care whether she brought up the idea to her brothers or not, he just figured it made good conversation for now and distracted them both from worrying about time constraints or anyone happening upon them. Sure Skylar knew it was a possibility but that was why he was doing his best to move fast and look casual. All he was doing was helping a girl not get in trouble with her older brother, no harm in that. He was on the tech squad of the school so it would look pretty normal to anyone. Well, the only issue with it was that he was a leader’s panel member and Alison was undercover anti-rsor. Sure she could probably play it off as she was trying to get information from him, but he wasn’t sure she had thought of that. Obviously she would be unsuccessful, but then again if his own sister couldn’t get anything out of him it was doubtful anyone else would be able to. Anyway though they were in his room and he was looking for plans he had drawn up years ago for a plane he had taken apart. Sure the notes were a bit faded from sitting in a book for probably close to ten years, but at least he could still read them. He should probably think about making copies of them or at least scanning them and storing in his computer rather than having to flip through books all the time. That required quite a bit of time though, along with effort, and he just didn’t feel like doing so. Maybe he would over the summer. The project was already big and if he waited too long it would become so unmanageable and impossible to store. Anyway though, at the time he just needed to look at it so that he could figure out how a plane’s mechanics worked not worry about how he was going to store books of drawings in the future.
He was assuming this old plane was nothing like the one the wright brothers had built out of a newer model, and it seemed his assumption was correct. ”Well that works out at least. Will you be able to correct me on the mechanics though is the real issue. I’ll be able to figure it out for the most part and getting it to fly shouldn’t be an issue. Any other plans they had for it may be though."He wasn’t trying to get it perfect though, just presentable enough for them to not have to start from scratch. Which, he kind of was in a way, but at least a whole plane with all the parts not possibly missing was better than a pile of parts with some possibly missing. Then they moved onto her possibly being able to draw the plane. She stated that she couldn’t promise it would be beautiful, but maybe it would be enough for him to work with. ”it doesn’t have to be beautiful I just need to be able to tell what it is. Which is a challenge for some, can’t tell what they are drawing other than squiggly lines.” he noted with a chuckle. Then he looked over a bit as she separated a few parts. Well that was good so that he wasn’t trying to fit pieces that would not fit together ever together. Like a puzzle you separated pieces into sections based on what the picture on the box told you. Only Skylar didn’t have a picture, he just had Alison’s memory. That was certainly better than nothing though at least.
”Go ahead and separate the outside pieces and if you want you can start putting them together and I’ll just work on the mechanics. It should make the process faster if I don’t have to build one part then the other.” he said with a smile at her. He was writing notes about the plane so that if he ended up having to build a more recent model plane then he would be able to do so. Though it was probably nothing like one out of a box thanks to the other reincarnates additions, but at least it was an idea, and if he ever had to rebuild one of their planes again it would be easier.

While being seen with Skylar was a bit of a concern to Alison, she wasn't vesting too much time into worrying about it. Why should she? Yes, he was Leader's Panel, and she was supposedly Anti-RSOR. However, she was seeking the help of someone more talented than her with technology, and who could fault her for that? That said, Alison realized the dangers that might come with anyone from Anti-RSOR seeing her. She could play off her reasoning for being seen with Skylar, but another thought drifted to the surface - They were going to ask if she'd bothered him about RSOR. Alison couldn't help but chuckle to herself at that thought. "So, on the off chance that someone from Anti-RSOR saw us together, what should I tell them? I'm obviously going to have to pretend I bugged you for information on RSOR. Could be a good opportunity to lead them on a wild goose chase." At the same time, though, she didn't want to be too forthcoming about it. She wasn't about to mention her even meeting up with Skylar and going to his dorm if no one saw her do it. That might arouse more suspicion than it alleviated. No, she'd wait until when/if it was brought up. Still, she figured she might as well be prepared in case it did happen. Alison let out a snort. "Correct the mechanics? What do I look like, the Wright brothers?" She couldn't help but smirk. "Really, though, you're the techie here. I'm just the girl who listened to her brothers argue about propellers for several weeks straight." How they could argue about propellers at such a length was still beyond Alison, over one hundred years later. She knew it warranted a discussion, but for weeks on end? Alison wasn't about to ask them either, for fear that she might spark a renewed argument. As fascinating as it was, Riverdale would thank her. "I'll do what I can, and I'll label the parts too, if that helps." While Alison wasn't an expert on how exactly airplanes worked, she did know the parts pretty well. She started to jot a rough sketch down. It was, indeed, nothing beautiful, although she did label the parts that she knew, and how she was fairly certain they fit together. After that, she followed Skylar's next instructions. "I can start on the tail...pretty sure I know how that fits together." She laughed a little. She'd certainly seen enough models and actual aircraft to figure that one out. Will and Orv would be proud...if they didn't kill her for wrecking their plane first, of course.
