This was, by all means, NOT the way Alison Driscoll planned on spending her prom. The freshman hadn't even planned on going with anyone other than a group of friends. She was fifteen. She was a reincarnate, true, but she was still fifteen. She'd married late before, and therefore so absolutely no need to rush to get a boyfriend like so many other girls at Riverdale High felt the need to do in the month leading up to prom. It was kind of amusing, really, seeing them try to sprint to pair up just so they'd have a date for prom. Most of those relationships would end up doomed simply as a result of that. With people like Orville and Lenita, Iskander and Jennah, it was different. They were dating long before this dance. People who just went with someone for the sake of having a date to prom were almost pitiful. Alison was asked out, though. Asked out by a boy she wasn't actually interested in, but couldn't very well say no to. Oz Jensen, the Wizard himself, though there were only two people privy to that information. And those two people? Well, they were attending prom together. Alison wasn't stupid. She knew why Oz had asked her to the prom. It wasn't because he liked her. It was because he wanted to keep an eye on her. Well, that was all fine and dandy by her. If he wanted to play that way he could. She was going to be keeping an eye on him as well. In addition, she would be doing her best to make sure that his attention didn't wander. He'd invited her to the prom after all. He'd better pay attention to her. In reality, it was to keep him from scoping out potential ideas to use for his Wizard project, but she also intended to have a bit of fun with it. She knew Oz was taking her to the dance in an attempt to control her, and she was going to bite back. He couldn't really do much about it without looking like a bad date - He was the one who invited her! Alison took a seat near the wall, waiting for Oz to show. He was going to be in for a challenge, Alison was going to make sure of that. Word count: 391 To: Jez-E/Oz Notes: Yup

don’t need another perfect line, don’t care if critics ever jump in line… OZ JENSON ==================================== Oz had been in quite the predicament. Having the recent issues arise with Alison, he had to find a way to keep her from having any intimate spaces to spill the information she had on him. As a result, as Prom rolled around his concern became even greater. He didn’t have the heart to tell her no she couldn’t go, but at the same time, he really didn’t want to take a chance in her giving him away. The result…he asked her to prom himself. In actuality it was probably more like demanding since she had little choice but to say yes in light of things. But it was a better option than staying home right? And she had decided to come anyways! Though there was still one major repercussion he was concerned with. Everyone was about to see the two of them together for Prom. Now from what he’d gathered of her role in things, this would confuse her siblings, the normal wouldn’t see anything out of the norm, Anti-RSOR would have a fit and hope she could get information from Oz and the biggest reaction would be from RSOR; namely the leader’s panel. They had her spying and having Oz of all people taking her to prom was a concern…especially for one Isabella Avadore.
Oz relished this thought as he meandered through the crowd and approached Alison. He had no games in the plan for tonight. He figured setting them aside was best and that way they could both try to enjoy themselves, even if circumstances were a bit unsavoury. To be honest, Oz had no bad feelings against Alison, he just regretted her finding out what she did and dragging herself into this as a result. In fact, he had quite liked her when they had first met for those brief moments before her catching him in the halls that night. So perhaps he did feel something already that he was unaware of, but even so, Oz’s motives may be a bit warped, and his views a bit distorted by the past but he was still not a bad guy and he did feel bad for Alison. She surely didn’t want to be here with a guy she despised for blackmailing her. And he wouldn’t and couldn’t blame her.
Oz made his way over to her, stopping off to grab two drinks in the process. Upon reaching Alison his charming smile popped up more genuine than normal as he offered her the drink. ”Seems I was running a bit late…sorry about that. I grabbed drinks on my way over though…”
He offered. Not mentioning or even hinting at the issues that were underlying. He didn’t intend for this to be a political night, just something to try to make the best of.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Alison Driscoll •• •• Words • 465 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "Secrets" by One Republic ••

If Alison knew Oz's true feelings on the matter, she might feel differently. However, Oz had all but ruined her life as of late. She could no longer confide in her brothers about much of anything that was happening in her life, and she could tell that Orville/Oliver at least was torn up about it. Worst part was, she couldn't even explain it to him. She was sworn to secrecy with Isabella and Petra, and sworn to secrecy with Oz. She put on a face as though it didn't bother her much, but damn right it did. Admittedly, the main reason why Alison wanted to get back at Oz tonight was out of spite. He was the only one in on this particular part of the secret life that she was leading, and she put the blame on him. In reality, it was her fault as well. She'd made mistakes herself leading up to what happened. Her biggest mistake was the entire reason why Oz had her wrapped around his finger. She was angry at herself as well, but couldn't take out this anger against herself, so why not aim it all at Oz? Therefore, she was surprised when he came up to her with a smile that was a bit...different than usual. The junior's usual smile made Alison want to bash him upside the head. This one didn't quite have that effect. She was also surprised when he handed her a drink, though she looked at it and swirled it in her cup a bit before looking back at him. "No poison in it, right?" It was clear that she didn't mean this statement, as evidenced by the smirk on her face, but there was no disguising that Alison made it damn clear that she didn't trust Oz farther than she could throw him. Who could really blame her? He hadn't done anything to redeem himself in her book. ...well, not yet, at least. Word count: 332 To: Jez-E/Oz Notes: That is the perfect song for this. XD

don’t need another perfect line, don’t care if critics ever jump in line… OZ JENSON ==================================== Oz knew that he had pretty much turned Alison’s life upside down and for that he knew she would never trust him or be his friend. So to be honest, he expected that tonight would be difficult, despite his intended efforts to make the night as pleasant as it could be. It’s not like he intended to ruin her night, in fact, he wouldn’t have ruined her life so badly if she had not been in the wrong place at the wrong time. But she had, and now she was involved and Oz regretted that. He strongly regretted that. But now he was stuck. He was backed against a wall. He wouldn’t let her run her mouth and that meant he had to do this. He had no choice but to do this.
If he had known just how her bad her situation was, he wouldn’t have cared so much that she pinned the blame on him, but he did feel guilty about what he was doing. He didn’t know she was close with Oliver and he was being effected, mostly cause he didn’t know who she was. He didn’t know her other life name and that meant he was unaware of much of the problems she faced. Of course, if he knew, talking to Oliver wouldn’t be such a problem of course, but Oz didn’t know that. He didn’t even know that problem existed.
Oz expected the question that followed though…”No poison. It’s not my style and certainly not here if I were to ever poison someone. It’s too public.”
He added, his smile not wavering, though it did show more amusement than it initially did. He had not expected that much humour, and for a change there was none of that underlying hatred felt from her words. He could have been wrong of course, but there was still caution and that was wise on her part. Oz knew to her, he wasn’t to be trusted. If he was in her shoes, he wouldn’t trust him either. ”Would you like to dance at all? Or perhaps just sit and chit chat?” He offered, his smile remaining genuine. He didn’t want this night to be bad for her and technically he was her date. So as a date, he was expected to give her the attention she deserved and also make sure she had as much fun as was possible in the circumstances. He had learned this gentlemen side of him in his modern life, having grown in a rich family. Back when he was Pharaoh, things were different. If she was his date, she would be sure to please him, not the other way around.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Alison Driscoll •• •• Words • 446 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "Secrets" by One Republic ••

The entire situation was crap, if Alison had to be honest. At first, she'd felt great about what she was doing - Protecting RSOR from possible detection. It stopped being so much fun when those she cared about most had to be pushed aside to protect her identity from slipping into the wrong hands. She saw the way Oliver looked at her from across the room when he saw that she was with Oz, and it bothered her immensely. She had yet to see Nate and Cindy, though she highly doubted that his reaction would be much different. The only difference might be that Nate would actually approach the two. She was sure that Oz would weasel his way out of it, and that she'd go along with him, and that would be that. The fact that she had to go along with everything was perhaps what disgusted her most. The only person who could know about her distaste was Oz, and therefore she planned to make it known. It wasn't exactly fair to him, but what he was doing to her wasn't exactly fair either. That said, Oz had yet to do anything so outwardly annoying that she could no longer resist her impulses to tell him off. Even his response to the poison comment led to a snort and an eye roll rather than a slap across the face. "Of course not. Can't have the Wizard finding out that you poisoned an innocent school girl, now can you?" The corners of her mouth turned upward into a smirk at this, though there was a glint in her eyes that betrayed resentment. Resentment more toward the situation than toward Oz, but as Alison saw Oz as the cause of most of her problems at the moment...he was resented by association. Lucky him. She was a little taken aback as he asked her if she wanted to dance. He also asked if she wanted to stay and chit chat. Honestly, she didn't want to chat with him any longer than she had to. Also, the two of them chatting would allow someone else to approach and possibly complicate matters, which she did not want. As if things really needed to get any more complicated. So the freshman rose to her feet at once, tilting her head toward the dance floor. "We can chit chat any time, can't we?" Well, it was true... don’t need another perfect line, don’t care if critics ever jump in line… OZ JENSON ==================================== Oz didn’t know just how chaotic it was for Alison right now. If he did know he probably would have been more sympathetic. But he didn’t and he didn’t even know just who the hell he was dealing with. He hadn’t found a way to ask around yet as to who Alison was and he needed to be sure it was someone who actually knew she was in RSOR. He had a feeling Isa wouldn’t spill and right now that meant that the best person to ask was actually Nate. But he couldn’t do that either, without it coming back to Alison, even if he had nothing to worry about with regard to her reaction.
He pushed those thoughts from his head. Work was on hold for now…or at least his idea of work. He had considered the reaction when people saw that Alison was here with him of all people. In fact, he didn’t much care for the reactions. It was probably a good thing that he didn’t so much as notice Oliver’s reaction or he might have gotten suspicious of it. After all, he was unaware of her connection to Oliver. Now Nate he expected a reaction and he was just waiting for it. He had all his charms and his charming words to give to Nate when the time came, of how spontaneous it was for him to ask Alison of all people and on how thrilled he had been that she had said yes. He knew he would establish that it was a test date and may still be a one-time thing if either him or Alison found it didn’t work; All the right things to weasel out of explaining the real reason but keeping Alison out of trouble and away from too much association with him. As much as he knew he had brought her into this, he wanted to keep her as far out of the trouble it would eventually incur as possible.
”Of course not. The gossip would be all over the school and then blown out of proportion by that ass and made into something completely bogus.”
He retorted with a knowing smile. To anyone else that smile meant jack shit…it meant he was amused by his own comment. But only Alison would appreciate the real humour in the comment. It was sort of refreshing truth be told. He wasn’t exactly relishing in the resentment and the clear distaste she had for him but what could he do? His situation wasn’t exactly ideal either. It wasn’t like he wanted to baby sit and keep her under locks. It’s not like he wanted to blackmail her or treat her this way. It just happened and he had reacted the only way he could think of to keep his plans from spoiling…and that was still his main priority. He wasn’t done yet. He rose as well when she did with a content smile in place. It was much more natural than he was used to. He gave a slight bow of his head when she answered his question and guided to the dance floor. Oz could dance, thankfully and it was with ease that he began leading the dance. He didn’t mind her not wanting to chit chat and even found that dancing made sure no one interrupted. He was also sure it would attract more attention but that couldn’t be helped either way. So things would go as they would go.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Alison Driscoll •• •• Words • 579 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "Secrets" by One Republic ••

Perhaps the worst part of the whole situation was that Alison saw herself in Oz. Was she really any better than him? It was supposedly for a good cause, but she was still playing Anti-RSOR for the fools, just the way that Oz was trying to do with...well, everyone. She saw in him what she hated about herself, and thus pushed outward at Oz as a defense mechanism. It wasn't doing what it was designed to do, though. In fact, if anything, it only made Alison feel worse. She felt alienated from everyone close to her, and who was to blame? Certainly not any of them. She was doing it all herself, through her mission. Her past brothers, the ones she wanted to confide in more than anyone else, she could not confide in about anything. They were completely in the dark, and it killed her. She was reunited with them only to have to keep her distance. There were times when she wanted nothing more than to go to Room 220 in the Boys Dorms and break down into tears. She could only tell Isabella and Petra half of the story. Kodi, one of her best friends prior to everything else, was even more in the dark than her past brothers. To make matters worse with Kodi, Alison was outright feeding her false leads. For once, Alison's smile at Oz's attempt at a joke faltered. She was normally good at putting up a strong face, but how much longer could she last? She literally had no one to turn to. No one except for the young man in front of her, and the idea of confiding in him left a sick taste in her mouth. The very idea of showing weakness in front of him... It all came flooding back, though, when she and Oz went to the dance floor. It was easy to distract herself from her more troubling thoughts when she was determined to keep in time with the music. It was odd, being as close to him as she was, and what was worse, she wasn't entirely sure that she disliked it. "Just don't expect a kiss any time soon, Ozzy." She'd called him all sorts of names before, but she'd never used the name 'Ozzy' as of yet. She was curious to see how he would react. don’t need another perfect line, don’t care if critics ever jump in line… OZ JENSON ==================================== Oz didn’t know Alison much yet, and as a result, couldn’t help but feel he was dragging her into this far more than he actually was. He knew she was a double for RSOR against anti-RSOR, but by knowing about him he was compromising her manoeuvrability even more. He didn’t realize just how much as he didn’t know just who she had connections to. As far as he knew, Nate was aware of her position and he was the only one she needed to be aware, other than the leader’s panel of course. He didn’t know Nate was out of the loop and Oliver was even related. As such he saw more of it as his fault when actually, partial blame was on him, partially on herself and partially on the leader’s panel; two members in particular.
The real irony of it was that Oz and Alison were feeling very much the same way. Alison had no one to turn to, and neither did Oz. He knew Alison must feel somewhat alone because he was blackmailing her, but Oz also didn’t realize consciously just how alone he was. And occasionally when he did he shoved it away. He was still happy for the time being though and that was what mattered. When that realization did hit him, it would be devastating.
Oz noted the faltered smile and just assumed it was because it was him who made the joke. It was a game, he reminded himself. He also tried to tell himself to not think of her feelings. And that was something he had done successfully many times in manipulating people, so why did manipulating Alison feel so much more wrong as time passed? He bit back the feeling and tried to remain logical, tempered and completely detached. Part of what made it so hard was he had no one who knew as much about him as she did, which was kind of pathetic…but shh, don’t tell Oz. His denial was a shield for the time being. He almost commented on the falter, but left it alone.
Oz hadn’t danced in sometime and he was quite pleased to find his grace was still firmly in his grasp. He was acting like a gentleman, leading the dance like one, and despite the unsavoury circumstance was doing good so far at keeping her from being miserable…or so he hoped. In fact, he was almost enjoying himself…
Hearing her comment he raised an eyebrow at the remark of a kiss and the Ozzy nickname. His father called him Ozzy…so it really didn’t bother him. In fact, he was partially named after Ozzy Osborne. It was just strange coming from her. ”I wasn’t…and I assure you that it was far from my mind.”
Oz retorted. To be honest, it wasn’t as far as he’d have thought…but he was still clueless as to how things were unfolding. He kept his tone low, as they were speaking on the dance floor, ”I know the circumstance isn’t ideal, but games aside for now, I was hoping to have this be as pleasant as possible. I didn’t want to rob you of an enjoyable prom experience. And I do wish circumstances were different.” He admitted openly. He would have told her sooner, but her hostility had been a bit more over the top. She seemed almost pleasant tonight and he was finding her personality quite appealing as such. The humour was nice and he already knew she was just as into the game as he was, and clearly headstrong enough. All appealing traits in his mind.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Alison Driscoll •• •• Words • 598 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "Secrets" by One Republic ••

It wasn't as though Alison knew much about Oz at this point either. He was at her mercy as much as she was at his. She knew his identity as both Ramses and the Wizard, which was one huge thing she had over on him. He knew her identity as a spy appointed by RSOR, but did not even realize her past identity. Still, if she wanted to keep that a secret (and she did), she had to give up close contact with many of the closest people in her life. Not a fun trade off by any means. It was so easy to dislike Oz, but so hard to dislike him at the same time. That sickeningly charming smile that constantly cropped up on his face made her want to slap him, but then he would go and smile genuinely, and that smile made her want to smile. It made her realize that maybe there was a side to this guy that wasn't all 'manipulative asshole'. The brunette nodded approvingly as Oz announced that it was the farthest thing from his mind. "Good," She stated, in a 'that's that' tone, but it was still very much odd that she'd brought up the subject in the first place. Why give him any more ideas than he had? He already had her under his control at this dance. In reality, Alison had more control over the situation than she thought. His next words brought about a stunned expression, that was quickly replaced by a more stoic look. Her eyes were searching, though. Was this another line, or did he actually mean it? He was damn good at what he did, so it was hard to tell if he was being honest with her or just playing with her. She did not want to be a source of amusement for him, but did not want to be a bitch to him if he really was trying to mend bridges. As was typical with Oz, she decided to play it cautiously, though she did note something different about his smile that might have caused her to show some chinks in that armor. "I was too. I mean, it's prom. Prom isn't supposed to be a game of chess." A game of chess. That was what life with Oz and the Anti-RSOR felt like. She constantly had to plan her moves, and she was getting sick of it. If Oz truly wanted to make this a night where she could let all of that go...who was she to let go of that chance? She wasn't about to let her guard down yet, though. Not all the way. She was still watching him closely. Word count: 464 To: Jez-E/Oz Notes: None at the moment. =P

don’t need another perfect line, don’t care if critics ever jump in line… OZ JENSON ==================================== Oz often wondered just what other’s thought of him. Part of his charming smile was his goals that he felt he had to manipulate people to reach. Part of it was that he was sure most people wouldn’t appreciate the real him even if they did know. And another part of him knew that this was partially the real him. He was manipulative, cunning, sly and a he cloaked his feelings and thoughts so that he may better portray what people needed him to be and needed to see in him. He melded to be what people wanted and sometimes that façade fell. Tonight, he was okay with that because there was no one to impress really. He would keep up the games as he must and maintain a semblance of control, but he didn’t need to stress it as strongly as he did on a regular basis. And that was both a relief and horrifying.
Oz’s charming smile was his safety blanket. He felt secure behind that smile and far from harm’s way. He used it to cope, to get through anger, sadness or any other emotion. It allowed him to appear cheerful and that was something that eventually even he believed. If you made someone believe you were happy long enough, you came to almost believe it yourself, and that had just happened to Oz. He wasn’t happy and subconsciously he was aware, consciously he had moments where he was but he didn’t want to be aware because that meant addressing it and for the time being he had other things he felt needed to be done.
Oz knew that some people saw through the façade with ease. Not many of them but there were some. Isa was aware of the hidden monster inside of Oz. But she was aware for no reason Oz could see. She just seemed to know something about Oz was off. He assumed it was something to do with her god. Aiden had the same initial reaction, taking none-to-kindly to Oz’s manner. But Aiden was also J.R.R Tolkien as Oz later learned. And he was a language expert so the games Oz played were easily seen through. And now that left Alison. She hadn’t seen through anything until she understood just what he had done. But it was amazing how one realization had changed things. It was almost disappointing.
Oz didn’t miss the surprise Alison had felt at his admission of not wanting things to have gone this way at all and on how he intended not to play any games today. He was also pleased with how fast her game face returned. It made her a worthy opponent in many ways. Oz was sure she wouldn’t fully believe him and that she would take it as part of the game. After all, what reason did she have to trust him?
”A game of chess? That is one way to look at it. Very actual to be honest…though I would say there are four sides of the chess board all playing for dominance. And then there are the players moving the pieces on a whim…”
Oz wasn’t sure Alison would understand what he meant by saying this but he kept that to himself. His reference referred to RSOR, Anti-RSOR, Himself and The General Public as the four teams on the board. His reference to the players was more in reference to his own religious beliefs and the insecurities he felt in being a pawn himself. Though, it was more like he fancied himself a king on his side, with his gods guiding his moves. ”Though you are most certainly right about Prom not being a game of chess. The game can be placed aside for an evening if the players allow for that…” He added, keeping with the metaphor. Oz didn’t mind the large game of chess. Perhaps because the game of chess was all he had. But he found it refreshing when he had an opponent who was as witty and clever as he was. Yes, Oz was certain he was the genius in this game, though time would tell just how genius he was.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Alison Driscoll •• •• Words • 693 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "Secrets" by One Republic ••

The position that Alison was forced into went against her nature, which was a tad ironic when one considered that her past brother's position within RSOR was much the same in this fashion. His job as a recruiter meant seeking out people that he would normally stay far away from out of intimidation. Alison, on the other hand, had to become all but a hermit when it came to the people she was closest to. For a social girl like Alison, that was hard. Alison had been something of a socialite in her past life. Not your average socialite, of course, but a socialite nonetheless. She pushed boundaries and fought for women's rights, but she also was key in hosting dinners for many big names of the early 20th century and working in public relations for her brothers. She worked as a teacher and a secretary, ironically the only one in her immediate family to graduate college. She was social by nature. She was forced to curb her own natural instincts for this. "And then the other side makes a move that no one expects, and the crowd goes wild as the one of the other sides scrambles to overcome and regain balance." It was a delicate balance, the environment at Riverdale High. In one way it was an average high school, but it was also so much more. These were high stakes games, and if one lost, it was more than their reputation that might be in danger. Men and women of history had far more than just rumors up their sleeves. It wasn't as though she didn't enjoy this game of chess. It was amusing to her, in a way, though she wished there were times where she could set the game aside and rest. Sometimes the game came off as more work than play, which wasn't the way that games were supposed to be. As Oz mentioned setting aside the game for an evening, it was too good an offer to resist. "I think that as long as two players can agree to it, that may be a wise move. Everyone needs a break every now and then..." She continued to sway with the movement, in time with Oz, who she realized wasn't that bad of a dancer. Well, that was one obstacle out of the way. Word count: 400 To: Jez-E/Oz Notes: I think half of this post kept up the chess metaphor. XD

don’t need another perfect line, don’t care if critics ever jump in line… OZ JENSON ==================================== The worst part about Oz’s position could be the fact that he was perfectly comfortable in it. He didn’t feel uncomfortable manipulating or playing with people. In fact, it felt like some semblance of power to him. He did regret people getting caught in the cross fire and he didn’t intend to hurt anyone so much as just trying to get a little control. He needed control! He had always had control and he needed it. That was his reasoning and if that meant underhanded tactics to get it, that was better than no control at all.
Of course, the reason it was happening was uncomfortable to him and some of the outcome but the actual process didn’t bother him. He needed this and for the time being it was serving his needs and desires. He had a hard time setting aside the process when he needed it so badly, despite the people he was hurting, upsetting or messing with in the process. Though, he really did regret Alison’s involvement.
”Exactly. Balance is precarious in any chess game, or even simply anything at all, not just a game. One person or one problem can upset the balance and change the outcome. Of course, some things are supposed to be set in stone, but then fate surprises us,”
the last part of what he said almost had a sadness to it, but he cloaked it quickly as he continued. ”But I think all of us in RSOR know that fate is merely a construct that can be manipulated in external ways.” He added, referring to the reincarnation process itself. It was a more valid clue as to why fate’s changing was such a big deal to him, but subtle enough that he hadn’t intended it to be that way. Oz took amusement in the moves that people made and he was always intent on discovering the ways people would approach a problem. But all of that was part of his nature and he liked to know how he could best utilize someone’s skills. Any great leader looked at the skills of their people and used them as they were best used to the best outcome. Isa had this down in RSOR but there were aspects even she hadn’t noticed in the RSOR members. If she had, then she wouldn’t have been such a key player in preventing Oz’s ascension to the Leader’s Panel. Oz nodded in agreement as she mentioned that everyone needs a break. ”It really is necessary to set everything aside now and then…” Oz admitted with a natural smile that was so unusual but at the same time so common for him. Though, a completely natural smile was a lot rarer. Oz hadn’t been paying much mind to leading the dance. He was a natural when it came to dancing…or at least he was so practiced that he could do it with ease. His parents had company frequently and were the type of traditionalists that threw large parties that Oz found himself forced to attend. He accept it as a political move for his parents and made no fuss, but he had learned a wide series of proper etiquette skills and that included dancing. ”I find these games are also necessary. In this world, no one knows where they stand if there isn’t some games to establish a place for everyone…” Oz added on more as an afterthought to keep the conversation moving. He preferred easy conversation where possible and coming up with new topics that didn’t involve playing games were more difficult for him than he’d like to admit.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Alison Driscoll •• •• Words • 602 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "Secrets" by One Republic ••

One thing that could be said in Oz's favor was that he was good at disguising his true feelings on the matter. Then again, so was Alison. Neither of them felt as though they could reveal the truth to the other without showing signs of weakness, which was to some extent true. Unfotunately, things were getting to the point where Alison was bound to crack to someone. Her journal just wasn't cutting it anymore. She desperately wanted to talk to Wilbur or Orville, even alluding to it in a recent voicemail with Isabella. Hell, she even wished that she could confide in Isabella or Petra. But no. The one person she could confide in was the last person she would want to confide in. He'd use ever damn piece of information he told her against him. It made her sick. Of course, not all of this was true. The above? A defense mechanism, something to keep Alison from failing at what she considered to be the job of a lifetime. As long as Oz was the bad guy, she could focus on that, and try not to feel too much for him. Unfortunately, it was hard not to feel something for the one person who truly understood what you were going through, even if he was partially the cause of it. She found herself wondering quite often how Oz truly felt about this whole thing. She wondered what Oz would be like if he didn't have to keep up this crazy Wizard charade. Last but not least, she wondered why he kept up the charade in the first place. Something had to give. There was a reason why he was doing what he was doing. An outsider would think that he was trying to destroy RSOR from the inside out, but Alison knew better than that. He, like everyone else, regarded RSOR as a safe place. He even so much as admitted it. So what was his major malfunction? She was probably closer to the secret than anyone at this point in time. "I think RSOR puts a different spin on the entire playing field." She indicated with a chuckle. Still using the game metaphor, despite mentioning that he wanted to set everything aside for the night, Oz commented on the 'games' people were playing. "I thought we were taking a break from the games tonight?" She inquired with a raised eyebrow as she continued to dance. "Where did you learn to dance like this, by the way?" If he was offering a truce for the night, she was going to push that truce. She still had her eye on him, but did not want to discuss the 'games' tonight if she did not have to. Prom was not supposed to be the chore that her life had become lately. It was supposed to be fun, and that was the way she wanted it to say. No Wizard was going to ruin that for her. Word count: 512 To: Jez-E/Oz Notes: Bwoop

don’t need another perfect line, don’t care if critics ever jump in line… OZ JENSON ==================================== Oz was far from aware of how precarious the situation was with Alison. He didn’t try to understand either as he was just getting to know the surface Alison, let alone what made her tick and operate the way she did. He could tell she was intelligent and had a lot going on, he just was unaware of the details and asking the wrong people could put him in a very bad spot. Hence, he had kept to himself and not searched for the answers to his numerous questions. He was sure that the person to ask was probably Nate or Isa, but Isa was already suspicious of him and Nate was her brother and unlikely to spill.
Sometimes it was better to feel like someone was the bad guy and Oz was fine with being that. At least for the time being. Everyone had moments where they disagreed with people and sometimes it was better to step back and view things as good guy, bad guy than how it was actually painted. He didn’t know why people did what they did and even though the Leader’s panel was his target, he didn’t see any of them as bad so much as seeing them as in his way. He preferred reality in the chess game, but at the same time kept to fantasy when it came to his own issues of faith and motivation. In other words, it was easier for Oz to view himself as the bad guy than to view him as he was—just a bit confused and trying to gain something emotionally from what he was doing.
”I have to agree. RSOR changes the playing field and puts into effect a whole new set of rules. Anyone who has something to lose will struggle much more keenly to keep it safe. Those who have nothing to lose and everything to gain take greater risks…”
That was perhaps why Oz took the risks he was. He also knew that was why Anti-RSOR was so in your face and dangerous. They had nothing to hide and nothing to lose, but everything to gain and learn. ”Taking a break from games, and talking about them are two totally different things.” Oz offered, with an amused smile. ”Of course, if you wish to talk about something else, than be my guest. I’ve no preference in topic,” He offered. He wasn’t sure if she liked or disliked the topic but to him it sounded like a topic she did have interest in. And it was something mutual, and mutual topics were hard to find when you were complete strangers. Oz smiled knowingly when she asked about his dancing. ”My parents, actually. I come from a very well off family in Dublin, Ireland…they host many social gatherings on a regular basis, so I can dance several different types of dances and I am educated in proper diner etiquette.” Oz explained. It was no secret Oz came from money if you asked around, or even just looked at his choice in casual wear. Oz came from wealth and he advertised it.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Alison Driscoll •• •• Words • 518 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "Secrets" by One Republic ••

The very people Oz fleetingly thought of asking were, indeed, the last people that he'd want to ask. Petra was involved as well, but if he knew Petra (and chances were that he knew her quite well, especially as he was a junior), he would know she wasn't about to talk either. In fact, his best bet would probably be Nate Had she known what Oz was thinking, she'd probably have gone to her brother and informed him not to say anything about her past identity to Oz. She'd do the same with Oliver as well. However, she need not worry. It wasn't like she needed another thing to worry about anyway. Alison smirked a little at Oz's assessment of the situation. "You've put a lot of thought into this, haven't you?" She did a little twirl as they were dancing, but other than the second or two that passed while she was in mid twirl, she did not take her eyes off of her prom date. Something about what he was saying struck a chord with her, and her smirk faltered a little as she looked at Oz closer. "So where would you say you fall in that equation? You're taking some pretty big risks..." Did that mean that he felt as though he had nothing to lose, or had she just shot a hole in his theory right after he made it? Somehow she had a feeling the answer wasn't so simple as the latter. "I've attended a few social events in my day. They teach you valuable life skills no matter where you're going in life." Mainly, how to properly compose oneself in front of people who could judge based on the snap of two fingers. This was also a (vague) hint toward her past life. She was tempted to play around with it, but remained hesitant. After all, wasn't her true identity the ace up her sleeve, the one thing that Oz didn't know about her? "Well, I'll admit it - I definitely could have had a worse date." She half-complimented Oz. He wasn't so bad as far as dates were concerned, but that still didn't mean that she forgave him for everything he was doing. Word count: 390 To: Jez-E/Oz Notes: Hint hint. =)
