FROM OLIVER WINCHESTER
Looks like you had control of the situation all along. Still, that had to be fun for them. What age group are they again?
My thoughts exactly. We weren't even going to go there. -Laughs-
I could prove that I understand it...but then, would I really want to? That's putting my true identity at risk.
Perhaps we should just drop the subject.
I usually don't, usually that's only over vacations and breaks.
Will and I are hoping to do something with Fred over the summer. Money for souvenirs and supplies would definitely come in handy for that. Plus, it's doing something I enjoy, and I don't have to deal with cleaning up large puddles of Mountain Dew after an avalanche of said soda. Or Errol hiding all the pickles.

FROM ALISON DRISCOLL Things are slow on the Anti-RSOR front. I only have one update to report, and that is that they have two new members. One is a new girl in your grade named Aleksia Benedict. The other is none other than Cornelius' younger sister. Feel free to pass that on to him if you want - I don't have his number programmed into my phone. Just thought he might like to know personally. -Sighs-
I'll keep you posted on any further developments!

FROM CORNELIUS COX Thanks for the heads up, Joan.
A few days? I don't intend to bring it up AT ALL unless she brings it up first. Better to avoid the conversation until it comes up in this case, I'm afraid. Otherwise I'll never hear the end of it.
I must warn you ahead of time that she's bloody persistent. She's a perfect fit for them, really. -Sighs-

FROM ALISON DRISCOLL
Didn't think he would be.
Still, I think he deserves to know. I'm sure he's already careful around her, especially given his position, but now he'll know to be extra vigilant around her.

FROM OLIVER WINCHESTER
Yes, that's true.
Well, I'll be visiting England again. Fortunately...or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it...I don't think I'll be paying a visit to my old body again, or the wax version of it at least. Instead, we're going to Fred's place for a couple of weeks, where we're going to work on a project. -The fact that he sounds giddy gives a hint as to what said project might be...and just how large a scale it really is-
I suspect it has less to do with the pickle and more to do with antagonizing me, but that's just a theory. Not that he can do that all that much at the bowling alley anyway.

FROM OLIVER WINCHESTER
We'll let you know. If not by phone, since the charges for that will be a bit excessive, then by computer. We don't intend to blow RSOR's cover...again, we have a leader's panel member involved, so that helps matters a bit as well. Though it's still a while off, unfortunately. -Sighs- Looks like we'll just have to mess around with the hang glider and models while we wait.
Felipe was ill? I hope not with anything too serious. Well, I mean, it sounds serious, but...you know what I mean.

FROM OLIVER WINCHESTER Good. You shouldn't have any. -Laughs as well-
I'll definitely take you up again if you'd like. I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed it. I could even take you up in more complex machines once you get used to the simpler ones. Will and I are working on a glider that combines both modern styles with our old styles. It's constantly a work in progress at this point, but you're free to try it out if you'd like.
That is rather frightening. It's hard enough seeing people you care deeply about fall ill (trust me, I know), but even worse when it's drawn out. I hope he feels better soon.

FROM OLIVER WINCHESTER No Isa, I wanted you to go hang gliding in hurricane winds. -Sarcasm- Of course we'll go in better weather, especially after what happened the last time.
I don't want to have to explain to your parents why you went splat in the middle of a field, thanks. -Chuckles-
The designing is going pretty well. No late night coffee, and no flinging into walls, although I did have a hang glider fall out of our closet and hit me on the nose. I have a nice scratch beside my eye now.
Somehow I figured as much, but still, I hope for the best for the little guy.
What do you mean "another kid"? Your other brother isn't ill too, is he?

FROM OLIVER WINCHESTER
Oh, I know, as have I. Can't say I walked away completely unscathed though...in fact, I didn't walk much at all for a few months. One of my legs was actually a bit shorter than the other as a result too.
Does he get attacked by hang gliders too? -Chuckles- Can't help it though. Not like there's too many other places we can keep it.
-His own chuckles subside at what's next- Something else? How so? I'm not so sure that I like where I think this is going... -Sounds concerned now-

FROM OLIVER WINCHESTER It never healed right. It was nothing too noticeable, only a fraction of an inch, but it impacted the way that I walked for the rest of my life.
If he does, I request a recording of this. -Laughter-
How did she make you feel like a failure? -Clearly confused by the sound of his voice-

FROM OLIVER WINCHESTER
Ow, yes, Ew...not so much. It's not like my bone was poking through my leg or anything.
...alright, now that I've successfully managed to even give MYSELF chills with that thought...
Hmm? -Sounds bewildered- Well, I can't say I've experienced much of that myself. What would I be, the patron saint of airplanes? -Lighter tone, though doesn't laugh, as he recognizes the seriousness of this conversation- I don't know, honestly. That's something beyond any mortal power, I can tell you that much. And, as strange as our situation is, I think the fact that we've been reincarnated in the first place proves we're mortal.

FROM OLIVER WINCHESTER
Still think it's more ow than anything else.
That's exactly my point, Isa. There IS nothing you can do about it as a mortal. That isn't screwing people over, it's just the way things ended up. As much as it bothers you, you can't beat yourself up too much over this, because it's out of your control. Do you get what I'm saying?

FROM OLIVER WINCHESTER
It's nothing you ought to be doing, because you CAN'T do it. It's one thing to want to do something, but we have limitations. If you're dead set on trying to do something, find out what that child has and donate to a charity, or spend the rest of your life trying to find a cure for it.
-Sighs-
I know it bothers you. It would bother me too. But please don't beat yourself up over it too bad, Joan.
Or I may have to tell Bonnie and try to have her talk some sense into you. I don't think she'll be as gentle as I'm being about it either, so consider it a fair warning.
-Reluctant chuckle-

FROM OLIVER WINCHESTER
-Sighs-
A saint is a title given by the church, who has less of an understanding of the way the afterlife works than we do. I'm not slighting them for that, but it's true, for obvious reasons.
I know it's bothering you, and I can certainly understand why. However, I'm going to have to keep trying to drive the point home to you that as much as you beat yourself up over it, it isn't going to change anything. You aren't a failure because you couldn't help her, it's impossible for you to help her where you're at right now. That's not your fault, Joan.

FROM OLIVER WINCHESTER
I'll stop lecturing you once you stop beating yourself up over this. Or, at least, when you stop beating yourself up over it in front of me.
I think you already know that Fred and I are contemplating a relationship, so I don't think that's anything new. Though I don't think I told you yet that we may be doing something over spring break.
What about you?
