sick of all the insincere so i'm gonna give all my secrets away ---------
Talia pulled the skirt of her tight, off-the-shoulder sky blue dress down a bit and ran her fingers through her hair. She had checked her makeup in the bathroom mirror earlier to make sure it was perfect and made little, unessecary changes when she deemed it horrible. She was nervous. There were butterflies in her stomach. She had to remind herself to breathe. Her knees were shaking. Never in her life had Talia felt like this.
And she didn't know why she felt like this. She was Natalia fucking Kruske. She was an independent bitch and she got what she wanted. She was also Bonnie Parker, expert theif of the 1930s. So her nervousness was completely irrational.
Yet...she still felt it as she looked at him across the parking lot with his beautiful hazel eyes and perfectly curled blonde hair. Talia had been crushing on him since she first saw him, but the more she observed him, she noticed he reminded her of someone she once knew in another life.
He reminded her of her beloved Clyde. And it gave her hope. Maybe, just maybe, her Clyde was out there. And maybe, this was Clyde. But she wouldn't know until she took a chance. And that's what she was going to do. She didn't think it was exactly against the rules of the RSOR. After all...only she and the potential Clyde were here in this parking lot. No one else would know if she revealed her true self to him. But, oh God, what if he was just Carter and not Clyde? That'd be so awkward. She closed her eyes as she imagined the embarrassing situation. She could see herself strolling up to him and being like 'Like, Oh my GOD! Clyde? Is that you? It's Bonnie!' and then he'd blow cigarette smoke in her face and be like '...Who the fuck?'. Then she'd probably have to pretend she was tripping on..........something. And run away. And, of course, she could get in a lot of trouble if some RSOR member found out.
...But she was more worried about her reputation being trashed.
If she didn't take this chance, though...Clyde Barrow could be walking away from her forever. And that was something she couldn't live with; she couldn't live with knowing she'd let him go a second time.
So this was it. She took a deep breath and dropped her cigarette on the ground before stomping it out under her bronze gladiator sandals. She gathered up her courage and walked over to the boy. The attractive, bad ass boy. Her dark eyes looked up into his hazels.
Oh crap...She didn't think of what she was going to say...
"Hi," She said, mentally kicking herself for being so damn awkward. She stood in front of him, one hip cocked to the side, her arms crossed over her chest as she looked up at him.
Okay. Now what?
"Can we talk?"
Way to go, Talia. Way to be on a role.

Carter wasn't going to lie... he missed his mommy. It had been such a long time since he saw her, and sure, Carter always acted like a hardass that didn't care about anything, but he loved his family. Well, or at least his mom. It sucked, he hardly ever got haircuts now, and his hair was constantly growing too fast. Yeah, he could just cut it himself, but that never ended well, as he'd learned in the past. Carter had always loved his family. Well... most of them. His older brother, Tanner, had gotten on his nerves too many times, but look where that had landed him. The rest of his family, however, Carter was always willing to look out for. And, well, he did. That's how Tanner ended up the way he did. Carter was just trying to protect his siblings, right? He was just trying to do what was best for them, to take care of them. Well, Tanner had just gotten in the way... Did he regret it? Maybe. After all, he was now away from his family because of it, at some damn boarding school in North Carolina.
But had he never done anything to Tanner... well, first off, he'd be back in Detroit, not standing outside of his car in the parking lot outside Riverdale, smoking a cigarette. But if he was back in Detroit, hell, he probably wouldn't be able to be enjoying a smoke right now. Yeah, he'd be stealing. Sure, that was fun and all. Hell, it was great, it was an awesome adrenaline rush. But smoking, it didn't get much better than that. The only way this could get better right now would be if he had a drink, too. A few shots of tequila, that would be perfect. Well, there was always another way that things could get better for Carter. He could find his Bonnie. Bonnie. Oh hell, how he missed her. He'd never wanted something so badly in his life. If he could just find her again, if he could just know that she was out there! They wouldn't even have to return to their life of crime, even though that was Carter's one true dream in life. They could pick up right where they left off, and everything would be perfect. And this time they would be invincible.
But, Carter thought with a sigh, it wasn't likely that that was ever going to happen. He may have been a reincarnation, but what were the chances of ever running into someone else who'd been reincarnated, and someone he'd known in his former life, at that? Especially the one person that he'd ever been close to? Well, besides his family. Even in his former life, Carter -- or Clyde, in this case -- had been close to his family. Really, it was scary how similar he was with his reincarnate. They both had grown up poor, and having to steal just to survive. And so Carter had basically become Clyde. Except, he thought grimly, Clyde probably hadn't been forced to go off to some damn boarding school in another state just for killing someone... The boy's thoughts were still meddling in dark territory as he watched a girl come up to him. She was cute.. he recognized her. He'd seen her in his classes before. He raised an eyebrow at her appearance, holding his cigarette at his side. "...Hi." Why was she talking to him, exactly? What was she doing here? "Spit it out, I ain't got all day." So much for that inherited southern charm.

sick of all the insincere so i'm gonna give all my secrets away ---------
When their eyes connected, she felt a new wave of butterflies wash over her. She hated herself for being so stupid and awkward and...lovesick. She never felt like this - at least not in this lifetime. She could only recall one time she felt like this.
January 1930. And idiot friend of her had broken her arm. And though she was an idiot, she was dear to Bonnie and Bonnie was currently out of a job (it was the Great Depression after all), so Bonnie stayed with her to help take care of her. It was a particularly cold January, so Bonnie was in the kitchen, waiting for a kettle of water to boil on the stove. She sat at the kitchen table as she waited. Her eyelids her heavy and she was tired. She decided to lay her head down on the table, using her arms as a pillow and take a little nap while she waited. Well, a little nap turned into a heavy sleep and she didn't hear the whistle of the steaming water.
The next thing she knew, a hand was on her shoulder, shaking her gently. She opened her eyes and looked into the face of a handsome man talking over the loud whistling of the kettle, "I ain't much of a cook, miss, but I think the water's boiling."
And the two were immediately smitten.
...This was definitely a different senario. It was more like she was smitten with him...or with the idea of who he could possibly be and he was looking at her like she had just escaped a mental institute. She had pictured their reunion to be a tad more touching than this. Obviously, things were not going her way this fine morning. It really bothered her when things didn't go her way...
"...Hi."
Well, at least she got that out of him. Talia gave him a small smile, trying to ease the awkwardness. But she realized her smiling probably made things more awkward. And possibly creepy. So she stopped. She realized random stopping and stopping of smiling was even weirder. She just couldn't win today could she?
Maybe she was just over thinking things? Yeah. That was it. Okay, Natalia. Deep breath. Not all is lost. At least not yet...but it might be if you keep fucking it up. ...She couldn't even encourage herself right now.
"Spit it out, I ain't got all day."
"I-...uh...sorry." Sorry? What was she sorry for? She hadn't done anything wrong. If she actually had her wits right now, Talia probably qould have bitched him out for having an attitude. But, she lost all wits when he looked into her eyes. "Well, y'see," She said, looking down at her feet shyly before mustering up the courage to look him in the eye. She lowered her voice a little bit...just in case anyone was listening. "You remind me of someone I know...knew...no...know." She didn't want to use past tense. After all, what if Clyde was alive? What if he was standing right in front of her?
Wait, where was she going with this? "Would you, uh...happen to know-..." She couldn't word it like that. She looked back down at her feet. "I don't know how to say this," She admitted, highly embarrassed.
She knew she looked stupid right now. She was well aware. But, she hoped he wouldn't walk away. He could do whatever, just don't walk away. Because the moment he did, so did her one and only chance.
She just wanted to take his hand and look into his eyes lovingly and call him by his name. His real name so then he'd know it was Bonnie inside a shell known as Talia. But if she was wrong...
She didn't even want to think about what might happen. But besides consequence, she didn't want to think about a depressing fact: She might truly be alone in the world.

Even though Carter Randolph may have accepted that he was probably never going to run into Bonnie Parker again, the thought of never meeting her in this lifetime terrified him. He missed her more than he had ever missed anyone, which was almost crazy, because technically Carter had never met her. How did you miss someone that you've never met? Was that even possible? Well, if you were reincarnated, could you technically even say that you'd never met the person? Because Clyde had known Bonnie. Hell, he'd known Bonnie better than he'd ever known anyone else, even his own family. She had been his one love, the one person that he shared everything with. To put it lightly, she had been his everything. And he missed her worse than he'd ever missed anything in his entire life, either of his lifetimes. There had never been anything that Carter wanted more than he wanted to find Bonnie. It was his one true dream in life. Carter didn't want to go to college, he didn't want to do anything with himself. Hell, he didn't even want to finish high school at Riverdale! He just wanted to find his love again.
But it wasn't that easy. Yeah, now at Riverdale, Carter knew that there were other people who had been reincarnated like he had, but it was probably a lucky coincidence that Carter had ended up here, at the one school he knew of that had a secret society for people like him. What were the odds that Bonnie would be here, too? Hell, what were the odds that she had even been reincarnated? Most of the reincarnates that Carter had met so far weren't exactly from recent times, most ranging from hundreds of years ago. Carter was one of the few from the recent century. Maybe Bonnie was going to be reincarnated, and just hadn't had the chance yet. After all, no one exactly knew how the whole idea of reincarnation worked. Maybe the souls waited in purgatory, or however the Catholic belief worked, for the perfect body to take back down to earth, or maybe their counterpart just entered their bodies when they hit the right age. Either way, the point was, there was so much speculation and nobody knew how the thing worked, even with tons of scientists hard at work and all that shit. Or at least, you thought they were hard at work. No one really knew what went on in scientists' minds and in their fancy little laboratories.
As usual, Carter was thinking about all of these things as this random, semi-familiar girl walked up to him and started talking to him. But yet it wasn't clicking. He was constantly thinking of Bonnie, worrying about her, wondering about her, just hoping that he'd run into her someday... And now she was in front of him, and he didn't even realize it. Besides, if he ever did really find Bonnie, he would probably be in shock. Well, he was about to be. Carter blinked at the girl, basically staring as she started to smile at him, and then stopped. Well, if this isn't awkward. What is this girl up to? He was starting to get a little creeped out... At least he was by his car, right? If he needed to, or just wanted to, he'd be able to make a quick getaway. He just raised an eyebrow and watched her as she kept starting and stopping, having difficulties talking to him, clearly. A smirk came to Carter's face. So he intimidated her, clearly. Awesome. But he listened to her talk, and his smirk faded from his face as quickly as it had appeared there. Holy shit. Hooooly fucking shit. Her words... oh fuck. It was clicking. This girl hadn't just randomly come up to him. This wasn't just the girl from English class. But no.. no, it couldn't be. No. It wasn't possible. "I-I..." He was stuttering. Great. But.. what if it wasn't her? He would look like a complete fool. Fuck, he didn't know what to say now either. He quietly studied her face for a moment, staring into her eyes shamelessly. "I think I know you." He broke eye contact with her, looking away awkwardly. This didn't seem possible. He was just going to make a fool of himself. This couldn't be happening.

sick of all the insincere so i'm gonna give all my secrets away ---------
So what would she do if she never found Clyde? Natalia didn't quite know. She wouldn't want to return to a life of crime...it'd remind her of Clyde too much. She didn't want to be a teacher. She didn't want to sing or act. She wasn't about to get a job burger flipping. She had the looks to be a secretary but she didn't want the position. Office jobs bored her to tears. So what was left for her in this world? Talia didn't want to accept the possibility that Clyde might not even exist anymore because if he wasn't here, she had no purpose. It was almost like she couldn't function without him. But then again, after you've given your heart to someone, how are you supposed to live without it?
Her whole life was devoted to finding him. She would travel to every country and scream his name from rooftops, hoping he'll call back to her and let her know he was out there. She didn't care if she found him when they were old and wrinkly or if she died in the process of finding him. She just wanted to find him again and be with him. And once she was with him again, they'd figure out what to do from there. Maybe they'd rule the crime world once again, or maybe they'd start - gasp - an honest life. She could be a house wife and he...a...a...a something. Something that makes decent cash. Bonnie could picture that life for them, too. Him coming home after a day at work giving their kids a kiss on the forehead and then kissing her and asking how her day was and if she current baby she was pregnant with had kicked yet...or something...
She knew she was making him feel awkward and creeped out. It wasn't her intention, but she was so god damn nervous, she couldn't help it. She was going to give him an apologetic look when he started to smirk. Did he think he intimidated her? Pfft. Right. The smug attitude wasn't appreciated. She gave him an annoyed look...the same annoyed look Bonnie used to give Clyde whenever he was starting to get on her nerves. She put her hands on her hips, giving him that look and sighed, just like she always used to.
Acting like an ass right now wasn't nessecary, dude. This was a pretty big, fucking deal.
But as his smirk faded, so did her annoyed look. Her look softened and her eyebrows raised as his look changed to...was that a look of realization? She bit her lip nervously as he stuttered away.
"I-I..."
Unlike him, Talia was not about to start mocking his stuttering. This was serious business. Very serious. She looked right into his eyes as he studied her face. She could feel those butterflies in her stomach again...if you could ever call it butterflies. It was more like the I-feel-like-I-need-to-pee-I'm-so-damn-nervous feeling. And then he broke eye contact from her and said "I think I know you."
Her eyes widened and her heart began to soar with hope. This was it! It...It had to be him! It just had to. The way he acted...the way he looked at her...this had to be her Clyde. She almost began to beam, but she didn't want to break out the smiles yet. It was still possible it wasn't him. Maybe he thought she was some friend from pre-school. God, that'd be crushing.
But now it was her move. This was her chance to figure out who he was. She looked around quickly to reaffirm they were truly alone and then she stepped towards him. She tilted her head a bit and leaned over so she would be in his vision. She looked right into his hazel eyes. She meant to speak a little louder, but for the first time in her life, Bonnie had absolutely nothing witty to say. All she could do was look into his eyesm her dark brown eyes filled with hope and love. Everything was on the line for her right now. She could hear her own heart pounding in her ear drums. She hesitated. Part of her told her not to risk it and just wait for him to show at a meeting or something. But and even bigger part of her told her to go for it. She couldn't wait for the next meeting. She couldn't run away now. She needed to know.
Her voice was only a little louder than a whisper when she asked, "...Clyde? Clyde Barrow?"

Carter was in shock. This wasn't happening. This couldn't be happening. Yeah, he may have gone on and on multiple times already about how he dreaded never meeting Bonnie again, and how much he feared it, but he didn't honestly think his dream would and could ever come true. This whole situation, it was too good to be true. This girl, maybe she was from Detroit or something, and she'd seen him stealing from a store up there or something. Yeah, that was probably it. There was no way this could be Bonnie, his Bonnie, standing in front of him right now. It was unreal. It was impossible. The chances of that happening were next to nothing, and especially when he had just been thinking about this only moments before! Okay, maybe not that part. Because really, Carter spent most of his time fantasizing about Bonnie. He was constantly dwelling in his past life, when he was Clyde Barrow, king of his life and king of the country (at least that was how he liked to look at it). Carter hardly even counted himself as Carter anymore. In fact, it wouldn't be the first time when someone had to call his name a few times just to get his attention, because he was so used to people calling him Clyde. Not that they did in this lifetime, but his memories from the past one were so vivid and real that they felt like they had only been formed yesterday.
To Carter, it felt like the day he died was only last week. He remembered everything from his past life clearly, like it really all was only last week. If it hadn't been for his childhood memories as Carter Randolph, he probably would have already woken up one morning and headed outside to go hold up a gas station down the road like it was nothing. If only those gas stations had looked the same. He probably would have gotten down there and been totally confused, because of all these automatic doors and "no shirt, no shoes, no service" signs and technological gas pumps and everything so complicated! Really, why did things have to change? Why couldn't everything just be like it was in the thirties? Well, minus the whole Great Depression thing, because that had sure been a pain in the ass. Not that it stopped Clyde from doing whatever the hell he wanted, of course. In fact, no. He would love for the Great Depression to be here again. Everybody was miserable and that just made him happier. Yes, Clyde did find pleasure in others' pain. It was always amusing, the look on people's faces when he and Bonnie came into their store and held them up, demanding the money. He remembered those times like they were only yesterday, too...
Maybe, just maybe, he'd be able to relive those times again, if he was really meeting Bonnie again right now. But yet it still didn't seem possible. It was too easy! How could she just come up to him a parking lot like this? Really, what were the chances? Out of over six billion people in the world, what were the chances of her even being in this country again, let alone in North Carolina at a boarding school, of all places? And on top of it all... why hadn't he seen her at meetings? Was she new here? Or did he just not pay attention at them? There was a pretty good chance of the latter. Then there was the obvious explanation, that she wasn't Bonnie at all, and just some random girl that had seen him back in Detroit once or twice. That was probably it, no matter how disappointing that would be.
God, wouldn't it be creepy if this wasn't her, and she recognized how lovingly he was staring at her? He just couldn't help it, it was his instinct when his heart was telling him that it was Bonnie in this girl's body. The girl would probably label him as a freak -- well that was a no brainer, of course she would -- and start spreading rumors about him around the school. God, Carter hated rumors. Then again, he could just beat the shit out of whoever looked at him funny after this, problem solved. But as Carter looked at her with his eyes full of that unspoken love, he could almost see the same feelings reflected in hers. What random girl from Detroit would be looking at him this way? And then the next words out of her mouth... he was dead. His eyes widened, and instinctively, the boy stepped forward and wrapped his arms around her tightly and protectively, starting to grin -- or beyond that, if it was possible -- and holding her close to him. "Bonnie," he whispered, completely in shock, surprised he could even utter the single word. He held her close to him, resting his head on top of hers and squeezing his eyes shut. This was... this was beyond words.

sick of all the insincere so i'm gonna give all my secrets away ---------
Fate or Luck. This was one or the other. Talia could possibly be the luckiest person in the world to have (possibly) found her Clyde and win a second life with him. She was lucky to even have this second life herself. Oh yeah. She was like a rabbit's foot.
However, Natalia would much rather see all this as fate. Fate had brought her and Clyde together...or maybe that will bring her and Clyde together. It was fate that decided to give them another shot.
...Shot was not a good word in this context, was it?
Either way...this had to have been the work of fate. It had to.
She saw the love in his eyes. He hadn't even answered her yet and she knew it was him inside. Her eyes reflected his love and she stepped towards him again, completely drawn to him and hopelessly devoted to him. It took all of her self control and strength to just stand and look at him when she'd much rather throw her arms around his neck and give him the most loving kiss she had ever given him. Ever.
The two must have looked quite odd just standing there, staring at each other and slowly inching towards each other. It was an odd thing for teenagers and adults alike to just stand there and look at each other for prolonged periods of time without doing anything. But then again, most teenagers weren't like Natalia and Carter. Most teenagers didn't carry the souls of long lost people and most teenagers didn't find their souls' perfect match like hers and Carter had. In her eyes, she, Carter or any reincarnite were way past teenagers or even adults. They had a life time of experience that you just don't get nowadays.
She saw his eyes widen when she called him by his name. His real name. She gave him a beautiful smile. Then she found herself in his arms. She wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged him back. She hugged him tightly and equally as protectively. She never wanted to lose him again either. She had watched him die, before. Something like that would never happen again. She swore it to herself. She wouldn't be able to take that heart break ever again.
She rested her head on his chest - right over his heart. She listened to it's deep thumping and she knew she wasn't dreaming. This was Clyde. He was here. Right now...not in her day dreams in the 1930s. He was right here, holding her tightly. She beamed and felt tears pooling up in here eyes.
"Bonnie,"
It gave her shivers. His voice was no louder than a whisper and he only uttered one word, but it still brought Bonnie to tears. She cried as she held onto him tightly. She felt his head on top of hers and she cuddled closer to his chest, if that was possible. "Clyde," She sobbed into his chest, "Oh....Oh Clyde! I've missed you so much, baby."
Her small hands grabbed handfulls of his shirt and she held on tightly. She was afraid that if she let go, he'd walk away...and that if she opened her eyes, she'd wake up in her dorm room with Isabella. "P-please tell me I'm not dreaming," She whispered pathetically, "Tell me you're here..." It was childish, but she needed to know. She dreamed of this so option, how did she know she wasn't having an Inception moment?
She leaned back a little and looked up at him with tear-filled, fudge brown eyes. She studied his face, his hair, his gorgeous smile...everything. She looked him over again and again, taking him in. This was him. And he was real. And he was alive. So was she. And they were together in North Carolina. Bonnie sniffled and smiled up at him through her tears, "You're still tall, Clyde..."
But then again, everyone was taller than her. That was no great feat. Bonnie looked up her her handsome Clyde again. Carefully, she brought one shaking hand up and put it on his cheek. "Clyde..." She sniffled, "I love you."
And then she leaned up, wet from her tears and everything, and gave him the most loving kiss she had ever given him in any lifetime...right on the mouth.
This was way more than your average luck you get from a rabbit's foot, salt or a shamrock.
This was fate.

Post by Carter Jared Randolph on Sept 5, 2010 16:53:25 GMT -7
Carter's life was sure going to change now. The one question that he inadvertently wondered about was whether his attitude was going to change. Carter always acted like he didn't care about anything, like nothing mattered in his life but him. But now that he had Bonnie, well, she definitely mattered. Hell, she mattered more than his own life did. Cater would instantly give his life up for this girl in his arms, whether it seemed like he'd just met her or not. But the connection the two of them had right now, the connection that they had found, it ran a little deeper than that. The threads connecting them were more than string or yarn, they were like indestructible steel, if steel could be made into thread. There was no tearing them apart back in the thirties when they first met, and there was definitely no tearing them apart now that they had just managed to find each other again. It was undoubtable that Carter would be spending probably not just the rest of the day, but the rest of every day with Natalia. He would never leave her side. He would be worse than an overprotective boyfriend. Besides, Clyde had lost her once before, and he didn't want that to ever happen again. The pain he'd felt for the past few years, just wondering whether she was out there, whether she was happy, whether she was safe... it had been starting to become unbearable. It would be lying to say that Carter hadn't considered, at least once, ending his life just to see if he could meet her again. But that idea had been dismissed when he had that feeling that maybe she was still out here somewhere.
And she was. Now he'd found her. He'd found Bonnie! He could say that over and over and the words would never get old. It was probably because Carter was still pretty much in shock. Even with Bonnie in his arms again, this still didn't quite feel real. It was like a dream. After all, it wasn't like Carter hadn't had dreams about meeting Bonnie in this lifetime again. It wasn't a memory, because of all the technology around them, but he'd had dreams like this where he would randomly find her, such as a random place like this parking lot, and they would just know that it was each other again. So when she asked him to tell her that this was really true, that this was seriously happening, hell, part of him was wondering the same thing. This all didn't quite seem real. It was completely unreal. But at the same time, it was so right. Clyde clung to Bonnie, holding her close to his chest, his grin beyond words. "I've missed you too..." If Carter had been an emotional person, he definitely would have been bawling with her right now. But he had always been in control of that side of his feelings, and there was next to no chance that he would start crying right now, even though this was without a doubt the most emotional moment of his life. He knew he would never have another one like this either, and especially not this powerful. Because meeting his Bonnie again... well, it didn't get better than this. Carter's life was complete now.
Carter really couldn't stop smiling as he held onto Bonnie, his love, his true reason for living. "I'm here," he told her, his voice soothing. "I'm right here, baby," he said quietly, rubbing her arm a little and pulling her face up so he could wipe away her tears. "It's me, Bonnie. It's really me..." He kissed the top of her head lovingly. To be here with Bonnie again... hell, he didn't care anymore that it wasn't the 1930s, his era of choice. He didn't care that she was bawling and that they were in a parking lot, because he was with her again. They would have plenty of time away together now after all, when she wouldn't be crying like this. Yeah, Carter didn't exactly want their reunion to be full of tears, but he'd known girls before. He understood why she was doing this. Girls almost always did this. They were so emotional sometimes. But hell, he didn't care, just because it was her. He looked back at her when she stared at him, his eyes still full of that unspoken love that had gone to waste for the first seventeen years of his life. He chuckled, shaking his hair out of his eyes. "Yeah... I guess I brought that with me..." He was still grinning, watching her every action and move and just taking her in. It had been so long. Carter kept grinning at her, and that only widened, if possible, at her words. And then she was kissing him, and it was almost like they had never been apart when he felt her lips on hers. Carter moved his hands up her back to her hair and kissed her back passionately, his mind practically ready to explode. He pulled back to whisper "I love you too" before leaning in and kissing her again. She was back.

sick of all the insincere so i'm gonna give all my secrets away ---------
"I've missed you too..."
"I-...I thought about you...everyday," She stuttered through her tears, "I never forgot you. N-not once..."
She clung to him, all her fears of never finding him and those painful years without him coming out in her tears as relief washed over her. He was here. Clyde was here again and they were never going to leave each other again. Bonnie was determined to never lose him again. Her heart just wouldn't be able to take it if she did. She'd watched him die. Just as he would, no doubt, be protective of her, she'd be equally as protective of him. Her life with him would not be cut short again. She would have a full, happy life with Clyde...or Carter...or whatever he wanted to be called. They would get old together.
She didn't know exactly where they would go from here. She didn't know if they'd be high school dropouts or if they'd stay and finish their education. She didn't know if they'd go back to crime or have an honest life. She didn't care either. As she held onto him, crying into his chest, she knew that whatever he wanted and where ever he wanted to go would be perfectly fine. She wouldn't think twice; she wouldn't need to. She would follow him to the ends of the earth and back.
It would break her heart to find out all this wasn't real. If this was all a dream, Natalia would probably never trust herself again to find him. If this was all a dream, she could be face-to-face with Clyde someday and she wouldn't do a damn thing about it. For her own sake, she prayed this wasn't a dream. His arms felt so real, his heart sounded real. This all felt real...
"I'm here," he told her, his voice soothing. She sniffled and tried to calm down, her hands still clinging to his shirt. "I'm right here, baby," he said quietly, rubbing her arm a little and pulling her face up so he could wipe away her tears. She leaned into his touch when he touched her face, her chocolate brown eyes on his hazel ones. She could tell by the way he looked at her that he wasn't lying. He was Clyde. He was here. He was real. "It's me, Bonnie. It's really me..."
She closed her eyes and smiled as he kissed her forehead. "You're back," She whispered, beaming. "You're really back. We're together again..." The love was obvious in her eyes as she looked up at him. And she saw all of the love in his. He was so handsome and tall and....and she must look horrible right now! "Oh God," She muttered, wiping her tears away only to have them be replaced by new ones. She laughed a bit at herself as she sniffed, "I'm sorry for crying...God, I must look awful." Hardly anyone could pull off the running eyeliner look.
"Yeah... I guess I brought that with me..."
She grinned and reached up, gently pushing his hair out of his eyes before running her fingers through it a little. His hair was soft, just like she remembered it to be and he was just as handsome, if not more than he was in the 1930s. She smiled lovingly at him and teased, "Well...damn it. I got stuck with a shorter body than before...and you're still tall." She liked him tall, though.
...No that wasn't an innuendo. But since we're on the subject, she liked that too. Moving on...
Her lips pressed against his and she closed her eyes as they kissed. She smiled a little in the kiss when she felt his hand in her hair. Her hand stayed on his cheek as she kissed him lovingly. They parted for a moment and she could feel his lips brushing against hers as he whispered, "I love you too"
She smiled beautifully at him before their lips met again. Natalia wrapped her arms around his neck and held onto him as they kissed. She stood on her toes so she could reach his lips. Grinning a bit, she playfully ran her tongue over his lips as one hand slid down his chest, feeling the muscles underneath his shirt.
This was real. Clyde was back. And she'd missed him with every fiber of her being. The hole in her life was filled. Today, her real life began. Today, Natalia found her purpose and her place in this world. Today, she found her other half. Today, someone loved her. Today, she belonged.

What was going through Bonnie's head right now? That thought had just occured to Carter now, as he held onto his one true love as she cried. What was making her cry so much, besides the fact that she was a girl and girls got like this? But Clyde had never seen this side of Bonnie before. Yeah, he knew her better than anyone in the entire world, and he had seen her in every single mood possible, the good and the bad, but she never cried like this. She was one tough bitch, and he knew that. Bonnie had been to hell and back so many times with him. She was tough. He knew that. Hell, Bonnie was the toughest girl that Clyde knew and had ever known, and he'd been around long enough to know that his mom was a hell of a tough person, having pushed out how many kids? She had always been the first one to sacrifice most of her meal for her kids, too, so clearly Carter knew what it took to make a tough woman. Still, Bonnie was the toughest woman that he knew. And yet she was standing here, crying? Carter was never the best person with emotions... was all of this crying a good thing? At first, he hadn't thought much of it, but now, when she was still crying? But yet she was so happy to see him and everything... These couldn't still be happy tears her eyeballs were producing, were there? Ah hell, what did Carter know about feelings, and especially those of the female variety? They were way too complex for his mind, which had never given feelings in particular a second thought.
For never giving his feelings a second thought, however, Carter usually had them pretty damn well under control. It was nothing for him to act like he didn't care what was going on, even if, well, he sometimes did. Carter wasn't completely heartless, even when he didn't have his Bonnie. So apparently then, the key to controlling your feelings meant never paying them any attention? That didn't make sense. It was probably just that it was Carter's natural instinct to act like nothing mattered to him, even when it did. Like when he was around his younger siblings. Hell, he never even let down his guard when he was with them, whether they were playing games or no matter what they were doing. Guarding his feelings, it just came naturally to him. But when he was with Bonnie... that was different. She had seen every side of him, including the secret romantic side that absolutely no one had ever seen. No one, ever, had known Carter to be a sweet guy, and deep down, he really was. He wanted to impress a girl. The thing was, there was only ever one girl that he wanted to impress, so for eighteen years, that side of him had pretty much gone completely to waste. But now it wouldn't anymore. Well, not that Carter really needed to impress Bonnie. He already had her heart. "I know," he said quietly, pushing a loose strand of her hair behind her ear. "Me too... All I wanted was to find you, Bonnie." The unspoken love in his voice and in his eyes only increased as he spent more time with her.
Carter grinned, caressing her cheek gently with his fingers. "We're together again. Forever. I won't lose you again, Bonnie..." Carter's hold on her only tightened after those words left his mouth. What would he do if he lost Bonnie again, a second time? That would be beyond hell for him. Sure, granted, the first time he lost her he had died first, so he didn't even really know what was going on. But he'd felt the pain for the past few years of his life when he'd known his real identity, and he never wanted to go through that again. He never wanted her to go through it again, either, because she undoubtedly had felt much of the same thing, hadn't she? It had probably been worse for her; she'd had to watch him die, after all. He wouldn't put Bonnie through that again, either. "You don't look awful," he said gently, wiping away more of her tears, ignoring the fact that they kept replacing themselves anyway. "Baby, you look beautiful." If this was a computer, Carter would be putting <3 all over the place. He chuckled, leaning down and kissing her lightly on the nose. "And yet you still fit perfectly right here," he said softly, smiling at her. It was really almost like their bodies had been made for each other, the way they fit together. And they way they kissed, well, it was like their lips were even meant for each other. Carter kissed her passionately, the hand not at the back of her head sliding down to the small of her back. And when her hand was under his shirt, he felt himself shivering. It had been so long since he'd had her, he wanted to take her right now. But they were standing in the middle of a parking lot and that probably wouldn't go over well on the cameras. So he would be content with kissing her for a while.

sick of all the insincere so i'm gonna give all my secrets away ---------
She was a tough bitch, yet here she was, bawling her little eyes out. Could you blame her though? After all she had been through as Bonnie and then her empty life as Natalia...after all those years of repressed emotions, they had to come out at some point. And the powerful feeling of knowing Clyde was safe and being in his arms was the perfect trigger for everything. She felt stupid for crying and she didn't want him to think little of her because of it. "I-I'm sorry," She mumbled into her chest, her shoulders heaving with her sobs, "I-...I just...never thought I'd see you again, baby. N-not after what they did to us...those bastards..."
Honestly, what kind of police department stop criminals by ambushing them and shooting them to death? That wasn't justice. That was brutality. And it wasn't like she and Clyde were serial killers. They were robbers. They only killed when they had to and that was rare. They didn't deserve the death they received. ...No one did. No one deserved to watch bullets rip through their loved ones before they themselves slowly died.
It wasn't fair. She and Clyde should have lived a full life. They were only in the mid to early twenties when they died, for Christ's sake! They should have lived until the 1980s or the 1990s. They should have gotten married. They should have settled down and made a few babies. Two boys and one girl. And those kids should have grown up and she and Clyde should have been grandparents. Well...it'd be different this time. This time, they weren't going to lose each other and that future would be theirs. They'd be hand and hand until they were both old and gray and could barely walk anymore. This time, they would be married and they'd have kids. This time, everything that they had been cheated out of before was theres. And no one could stop them this time.
Though she missed the 1930s, Talia had to admit law enforcement was a bit better in 2010. No, she didn't like them....but they couldn't just ambush people anymore.
"I know," She leaned into his gentle touch as he tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. She looked lovingly into his eyes as he said, "Me too... All I wanted was to find you, Bonnie."
She held onto him tighter. Her head rested on his chest and she closed her eyes. Softly, she whispered to him, "You won't ever lose me again, Clyde. I promise. I'm yours forever." And ever.
"We're together again. Forever. I won't lose you again, Bonnie..." She leaned into his touch when he caressed her cheek. She smiled when he held her closer. She felt so safe in his arms. Safe, warm and secure. She ran fingers along his arm, tracing his muscles. "You're so strong," She muttered, admiring his bicep, "I feel so safe." Insert the cartoon-y hearts here.
"You don't look awful,"
"No," She chuckled, sniffling, "I look terrible. I bet my eyeliner and mascara is all runny and making my cheeks black. And my hair probably looks like shit and-"
"Baby, you look beautiful."
She blushed and looked down, smiling softly. "th-thank you," She stuttered through her left over tears. If he thought she was beautiful, than everyone else's opinion mattered very little to Natalia. All she wanted was for Clyde to love her and find her pretty. All she wanted to do was please him in any way she could.
She remembered pleasing him in the 1930s...he loved it then. He'd no doubt adore it now.
She giggled and scrunched up her nose when he kissed her nose. His chuckle made her heart melt. "And yet you still fit perfectly right here," he said softly, smiling at her.
She leaned up, her lips brushing his. His lips were soft and warm. She smiled and whispered, "I always will, Baby. We're meant for each other. Nothing can change that. Ever."
She smirked when he shivered and kept running her nails down his chest to tease him. She could feel the passion behind his kiss. Her tongue slipped in his mouth as she kissed him, taking in his new taste. She could tell how much he wanted her by the way they kissed. Bonnie couldn't help herself but ask, "Do you want me, Clyde?"

It was almost like Bonnie could read his mind, Carter realized, after she mentioned all the crying once he'd thought about it. In a way, it probably wouldn't have surprised him, because they had been so close before, in their former life, that it was practically like their minds were connected. They were close enough that they could have finished each other's sentences, if they wanted to. They were closer, and made for each other more, than marshmallow fluff and Jack Barakat's tongue. It was just meant to be. Hell, it was probably fate that had brought them together in this second life. They were like the early Anglo-Saxons. Well, Carter at least had never been religious in this life or brought up going to church. He didn't think he'd even been baptized. He wasn't a Christian at all, so he could easily believe in fate like those British people did. He wasn't a Pagan like they were or anything, he just understood their outlook on the whole fate concept. It made sense, you know. Granted, he didn't believe that you had to die in battle to die an honorable death, but again, he didn't believe everything they said or anything. It was just that maybe that English lesson had stuck with him, or actually interested him enough that he didn't skip every class or spend the few that he was at staring out the window or carving into his desk with the knife he'd snuck into class. Maybe because history had always sort of interested him... That happened, apparently, when you were practically a history lesson yourself.
Wouldn't it be interesting if some time in history class, they had an assignment on the era of the nineteen thirties? For the first time in his life, Carter would seem smart. For the first time in his life, he would actually complete a project. He wouldn't slack off in it at all. Hell, he probably wouldn't have even minded helping out his classmates if they needed it! Granted, Carter wouldn't exactly be their first choice for a tutor, but if they noticed that he seemed knowledgeable on the subject, then that was great and he'd be almost -- gulp -- happy to help. Ah hell, who was he kidding? Carter wasn't even in school enough to know what the current project was. Even now, eighth hour was going on, and Carter was sitting outside by his car. But it wasn't like he'd be going in any time soon now that he had Bonnie here with him. "Shh, it's okay... I.. I know..." His eyebrows furrowed a little as his thoughts went to their deaths, how the police had ambushed them and shot them without so much as a second thought. It was cruel and unjust, but it had happened. Honestly, think about it. What if it hadn't been Bonnie and Clyde coming down the road in that car? What if it had been some random civilians, carpooling on their way home from work? What if it had been a family going on vacation? Oh, school's out, kids, let's drive to -- BAM! Dead. Granted, neither of those situations were likely, seeing as it was the thirties and the Depression was happening, so no one had jobs or the money to go on vacation, but still. The point was valid.
A gentle, warm smile crossed Carter's face at her words, and he kissed the top of her head. It was still beyond words, the utter joy and relief he felt to have Bonnie back in his arms again. And he would never lose her again... They would never be separated again... The last few years of his life, they'd been hell for Carter. That aching feeling in his chest that told him he was alone, that nagging thought in the back of his head that she was still out there, that yearning desire to go and find her. Well, now he didn't have to worry about that anymore. She was here, and they were together again. He just smiled a little more as she ran her fingers along his arm, watching her face. And then he shrugged subtly. "A lot of time on my hands." Not really, but stealing had practically become a hobby for Carter, and believe it or not, that required a lot of strength in some situations. Badassery in general, it pumped up your muscles. He just rolled his eyes as she rambled about how she looked horrible, because hell, even if Carter didn't think she looked beautiful right now (which, in fact, he did. she was gorgeous.), he wouldn't let her call herself terrible-looking anyway. "You're welcome," he said quietly, his voice barely over a whisper. It felt like nothing to call her beautiful, almost instinctive. It didn't even matter that she was in a different body this time around. She was still beautiful. And her beautiful body, damn, was it tempting him! The softest of moans slipped out of Carter's mouth as she ran her nails down his chest, and he pulled her body closer to his, tangling their tongues together when he felt hers in his mouth. He heard her question, and damn, that just made it worse. He kept kissing her, whispering into her mouth. "Of course I do.." Heart heart heart.

sick of all the insincere so i'm gonna give all my secrets away ---------
The way she fit perfectly against his body made her feel like they were puzzle pieces. Grant, a simple puzzle...or just two pieces. Apart, they really weren't anything, but together? They were one. They connected so well that they were one. They were something much greater together than apart. They could read each other perfectly. Hell, if they tried, they could probably finish each other sentences. Bonnie truly believed that she was meant for him. When God was designing her in her mother's womb, He'd designed her to be the other half of Clyde Barrow. Every criminal needs their partner. Every hero needs his side kick. Every princes needs his princess. Every Alex Gaskarth needed his Jack Barakat. Every Clyde needs his Bonnie.
Natalia was Carter's answer to all of that.
"Shh, it's okay... I.. I know..."
"Bastards!" She spat again, clinging to him, "Fucking bastards! What did we do to deserve that, huh?" She looked up at him, anger in her teary, brown eyes. Anger that had been asleep for all the years that she was dead until now. Anger that she knew only Clyde shared. "I know we weren't angels," She continued, "But still!!! What they did to us was unlawful. It violates the 8th amendment!" Her voice darkened as she growled, "I want 'em dead, Clyde. And I wanna be the one to kill 'em. I wanna kill coppers and get revenge!"
This wasn't a mad woman's rant either. Natalia was serious. Bonnie had never really been a mass murder. Thief? Yes. But Clyde was the one with a trail of blood behind him. But that was the old Bonnie. Bonnie of the 21st century wanted revenge and she was going to collect her pound of flesh or die trying!
Okay...maybe not die. She couldn't do that to Carter. But she still wanted her revenge. And she would get it. Somehow, she would. She was capable of more than your average teenager...
She smiled when he kissed the top of her head. She kept tracing his muscles when she saw a dark mark on his neck. "What the-..." She smirked a little and tugged the cloth of his shirt back, inspecting the dark design on his skin. "Baby..." She said in a sing-song before looking up at him, a smirk on her lips and a smile in her eyes, "Is that what I think it is? Is that a tattoo?"
She hoped it was. She thought it was sexy.
"A lot of time on my hands." He shrugged.
She grinned at him and traced all his arm muscles again. "Oh really?" She leaned up and gave him a peck on the cheek before whispering, "You might be sexier now than you were before, Clyde Barrow. I didn't think that was possible..." But apparently it was. He was very sexy to her right now and every time he held her tighter, he turned her on. It'd been a long time. Too long. Her body was screaming for him. "You're welcome," He whispered to her, making her body scream louder for him.
She grinned when he moaned and let out a gentle moan herself when he pulled her closer. One hand went to his curly head of hair. Her fingers raked through his blonde curled while their tongued danced in passion. He kept kissing her, whispering into her mouth. "Of course I do.."
Insert explosion of hearts here. Natalia smiled and pulled away from him, giving him a seductive look. "Let's go then," She whispered to him with a smile, "Let's get out of here. We're already skipping class...let's go off campus and find somewhere private to spend the night." Natalia grinned, "I don't think my room mate will tattle on me." It'd been a long time. She knew he wanted to just as much as she. They'd missed each other very much. The sound of each other's voice. The feeling of their lips pressed against one anothers. The feeling of being in each other's arms. The exchange of body heat when they made love...
They wanted each other very much. Who was she to deny him of his want when she felt it just as much?
She stepped out of his arms, giving him a sexy smirk as she walks towards his car. She opened the passenger's front seat and slipped into the car. She closed her eyes for a moment, smiling to herself. This felt just like old times. This felt completely right.

What would Carter have done after school if he hadn't found Bonnie just now? Actually, to be more realistic, would Carter even finish school? It wasn't that Bonnie was exactly a motive for him to do better in school or anything, but now that he knew she was at the school, and in his grade nonetheless, there was probably a better chance of him showing up to more classes now. Maybe he'd even stay through an entire day here and there! ...Maybe. He wouldn't push it. Besides, it depended on whether Bonnie was in all of his classes or not. It wasn't like this was the world of Twilight, where halfway through the year you could randomly go to the office and request to change out of a class and expect to actually get it. Granted, Carter wasn't a sparkly vampire either. If Carter was a sparkly vampire, he would be halfway around the world sucking blood in Spain or something. He sure as hell wouldn't be in North Carolina. Miserable excuse of a state, if you asked him. The one thing Carter hadn't brought with him from his Clyde Barrow days? Not minding heat. Carter hated it. It was too damn hot here. He missed Detroit. He missed getting snow in the winter and cars driving sixty-five through snowstorms in the winter down the highway like it's nothing. Since he'd been in North Carolina, Carter hadn't witnessed a white Christmas yet, and it was killing him. It was practically illegal to not have a white Christmas. Carter wasn't religious, but it just wasn't right.
But if Carter was back in Detroit... he wouldn't have found Bonnie again. If he was back in Detroit right now, hell, he wouldn't be enjoying the weather of September, he'd probably be moping. Moping was definitely something that Carter did well. No, he didn't try to mope, it usually just happened. His life wasn't even that particularly horrible. Okay, so people could argue with that one. He had a huge family and they were poor, having to steal just to eat. He killed his brother and got sent to boarding school in North Carolina, where it's just too damn hot. His life sucked. Or, it did. It didn't anymore, clearly. Things were good now. Even if Bonnie was bringing back memories, memories he didn't want to think about... Sure, Clyde didn't remember his death, but he'd looked it up and had learned enough about it that the thought of those cops who had killed them... it made his blood boil. He took a deep, calming breath, trying not to flip out with Bonnie here. Yeah, she'd seen him in a rage plenty of times and all, but he didn't need to get like that now, when he'd just found her again. He settled for clenching his fists while she talked, his short fingernails digging into his palms. "They're... already dead, Bonnie..." Carter didn't need her to go out and kill people. She could get herself hurt. It wasn't that he didn't trust her, that he didn't think she wasn't capable... he just didn't ever want to risk even possibly losing her, or her getting hurt, ever again. "They're gone." He slowly uncurled his fists, relaxing. She'd brought it up, though, and he'd probably go into a rage again about it tomorrow.
A smirk slowly began to spread across Carter's face when she found his tattoo, and he shrugged. "Maybe... You wanna see it?" He gave her a sneaky wink. Yeah, he was clearly from the nineteen thirties, because who honestly winked anymore? That damn southern charm, from a boy who grew up in Detroit... The smirk just returned to the eighteen-year-old's face as she complimented his looks. Damn, Bonnie just always knew the right things to say to him. Granted, Carter wasn't that hard to please, he was just like any other guy, really. He loved getting told he was sexy. He loved when she gushed over his tattoo. He loved... her. It was that simple. Anything Bonnie did, it would be a total turn-on for him, simply because it was her. She could rip his hair out of his head and he'd be turned on. Granted, any guy probably would like that... Guy instincts flowing freely, Carter's face broke into a grin when she suggested their leaving. If she hadn't said it, hell, he probably would have pulled her into his car and started ripping her clothes off in a matter of seconds, anyway. And when she stepped out of his arms, it was only the realization that struck him that he'd be spending the rest of the night with her, a good portion of it most likely naked, that kept a sharp pang from ripping his heart in two again, only for being away from her for a matter of seconds. He grinned, giving her butt a playful squeeze before badassly sliding over the top of his car and getting into the driver's side. It wasn't a great car, but hell, he didn't care. Any car that had Bonnie in it was a great one.

sick of all the insincere so i'm gonna give all my secrets away ---------
With Clyde at her side, Talia felt completely unstoppable. They could do anything they wanted to. Anything they wanted was within reach, they just had to stretch out their arms, open their palms and snatch it away from the world. She didn't care if they finished school or not. If he asked her to drop out and run away with him right now, she'd say yes. In a heart beat, she'd say yes. In fact, she'd probably be in the car before he could finish the sentence, "Bonnie, my love, will you come away with me?". She'd be in the car right after he called her his love.
And where would they go? ...Did it honestly matter? They would go where ever they pleased. One week, they could be in Florida. Next, New York City. They'd constantly be moving, which was the life Bonnie had adored. Being stuck in Philadelphia as 'Natalia Anne Kruske' practically killed her with boredom. Every day, she faced the same place, same people and same problems. But when she was running around American with her Clyde, she saw new people. She experienced new places...and all her problems were left at the state's border.
Bonnie had always wanted to see Mexico. Maybe now that she and Clyde were together, he'd take her there. Maybe they could spend their winters there...well, except Christmas. Christmas had to be spent somewhere where there was snow. It was practically a deadly sin to not have a White Christmas. It just wasn't Christmas if there was no snow. After all, you can't decorate a palm tree with lights and tinsel.
Seeing death had changed Talia...and not for the better. There was a darkness in her now, a bloodlust that craved revenge for her untimely death. "They're... already dead, Bonnie..."
She narrowed her eyes and her jaw was set. She knew they were dead. But their children and grandchildren were not. Not all cops were dead. A evil gleam glowed in her dark eyes as she silently plotted the death of all local cops. Dirty bastards...dirty hypocrites. They deserved to die. They all did.
"They're gone."
"I know," She replied, a tad sharper than she had intended. She looked up at her love, a wild fire in her pretty eyes. "I know they're gone. I know they've died," Her tone was softer now...dangerous, "But their children are not. Their grandchildren are not. There was still crooked cops out there..." And she wanted to kill them. She'd get her pound of flesh one way or another. She'd see to it. And Clyde would help her, obviously. She knew he'd do whatever she wished just as she would do what he wished.
So when the implication of making love came up, how could she turn him down? Honestly. It'd been many years...she knew he wanted it. She definitely wanted it. She smiled at his sexy smirk and his wink gave her shivers. Yes. She was definitely from the 1930s because winking didn't creep her out at all.
