Wednesday. Not the depressing beginning of the week and certainly not the joyous end of the week. It was slap bang in the middle teasing the students of Riverdale High. Orestia tended not to be one of those people who stressed at what day it was though. She tended to go with the flow, riding the wave of life in a chilled out motion. There were already people around her who were desperately discussing plans for the coming weekend. Orestia was just happy to sit back and let life go by.
That was the difference between her and many of the student body of Riverdale. Where most students seemed to stress about one thing or another on a daily basis, Orestia rarely got herself worked up at all. Even if she heard some horrific news it was possible that by the end of the day she would be smiling again. Today was no different. Like any other day, Orestia had the huge smile on her face she was well known for and was practically bouncing about in her seat whilst finishing up lunch. The sad part was? She was alone. It had been 3 years since she had stepped through the doors of Riverdale High. She had many friends yes, some of those who she was extremely close with such as Justice or Sylent, but they didn't appear to be around at the moment. Other than the people she could count as a chum, there was still that air of prejudice around her that people used with her. Therefore she had resorted to sitting alone to eat before going to find someone to hang out with before the next class. She didn't hold to much of a grudge on people who were nasty to her, but it sure as hell was annoying. But was she lonely? Nooooo. This was one of the happiest kids in the school. No bitchy comment was going to wipe the smile of her face.
Today she seemed to be in a particularly good mood. The clothes that she had chose to wear reflected this. She was possibly the brightest person in the room today. She had recently changed her hair as well, sporting bats in her fringe and coons to frame her pretty face. Of course she had earned a strange look or two but that wasn't going to get her down. Honestly, she couldn't help but check her hair out every once in a while at her reflection in the window. Now all was needed aside from good food was some good company. It did get a little boring sitting on the sidelines of so much conversation sometimes.

For every positive there's a negative, and Tamara was about as far negative as you could get this particular day. She wasn't at the worst of her funk, mind you. That happened a few days before, when she actually had an encounter with Isa where the two girls could actually relate to some extent. Guy troubles apparently could create temporary truces. That said, the wound was still fresh with Tamara. The fact that she'd fought with Vaughn was still in her mind, and the words kept replaying in her head, making it hard for her to come up with any sort of retort. As the days passed, however, Tamara was becoming less and less depressed and more and more annoyed. Tamara also wasn't the type of person to just let something like this brew. When she was upset, she wanted to lash out at everything and everyone. A bouncing beacon of happiness caught Tamara's vision, and she felt her entire body tense up. How could anyone be so unequivocally happy all of the time? Normally it wouldn't bother Orestia that much, and she'd make a snide comment or two for her own amusement and walk by with a happy smile of her own. Today was different. Today Tamara was not happy. And Tamara, being the spoiled brat that she was, was of the opinion that if she wasn't happy, that no one deserved to be happy. Instead of owning up to her mistakes, she would lash out at the world in what could only be described as a temper tantrum. She was going to start with Orestia. Tamara strode up to the odd girl. Any other day, she might have a twinge of respect for the fact that the girl had the guts to wear what she did in a high school. In fact, even now, that twinge of respect was there. If anything, though, it served to make Tamara feel worse. No, this probably wasn't going to help her win Vaughn back, but would anything, after the tiff they had? Tamara felt a pang in her chest, but rather than dwell on it, she focused the negative energy outward. "Why, on Earth, are you wearing a raccoon on your head? It looks ridiculous." The best part was, Orestia was alone. She was the perfect target, and Tamara was going to take advantage of that. Well, so much for good company. There were very few people in Riverdale that Orestia did not like. Even the people that she wasn't that great friends with had some sort of factor in their personality that made up for all of their other negative traits. Orestia used these to get to know these people, that others might otherwise not want to be friends with. But Tamara was a whole different ball game. No matter how much she had tried, and believe Orestia had tried to give the girl a chance, she was nothing more than a spoilt brat. People like that sickened Orestia and honestly, she thought Tamara was a bit of a monster.
When she had hoped for company, she had wanted good company. Now she saw none other than Tamara making her way over to her table. She could tell in her face that this was a woman on a mission. She of course had heard about Tamara's and her boyfriends fight. It was almost impossible NOT to hear gossip like this when it involved a drama queen, an RSOR member and a high school. She knew better than to say anything though, she didn't want to give the girl ammo...and Tamara certainly used ammo against Orestia. Tamara was probably one of the worst people to make fun of her.
All Orestia wanted was to have a quiet lunch and keep things friendly. No matter everything that Tamara had said to her in the past...Orestia was not the type to hold grudges and most negativity bounced straight back off of her. And so she smiled huge smile at the approaching girl. "Hi Tamara! How are you?" Orestia kept on smiling, hoping that Tamara would either carry on walking and leave her be or actually be nice for once. What wishful thinking that was...
"Why, on Earth, are you wearing a raccoon on your head? It looks ridiculous."
Orestia raised one eyebrow at Tamara. Really? She couldn't even say hello and carry on walking? The comment didn't upset Orestia at all. In fact it, like so many others, seemed to bounce off of her as if Tamara had never said anything. She was going to give some sort of reply though but she wasn't going to stoop to Tamara's level and make an unnecessay bitchy comment of her own. That just wasn't Orestia. "Because I like my hair like this. Whats the matter with that?" Orestia didn't even say this in a bitchy way. It was just a normal question.

On most occasions, Tamara probably would have made just one little snide comment at Orestia and went back on her way. Sure, it wasn't the nicest thing in the world, and still fell under the bully label, but it wasn't quite so bad as what she wanted to do today. She wanted to rip someone down to her level. So of course Orestia stood out. Not at any fault of her own, but actually due to Orestia's strength. Orestia had the ability (that Tamara honestly admired, though she'd never admit it) to just let problems slide off of her. She just wanted to wipe that stupid smile off of the other girl's face and bring her down to Earth...no, bring her down farther than that. She wanted to see the other girl cry for once. Was it mean? Yes. Would it get her any more friends? Most likely not. When Vaughn heard about it he'd probably be even more annoyed with her. Did she even stand that much of a chance with Vaughn now? Dammit, why'd she have to think about Vaughn? Why did they have to be from two different factions? Why couldn't Lenita and Vaughn be 'normals'? If they were, Tamara would care less than half as much as she did about RSOR. It just bothered her when people she was close to, people who were supposed to be able to share everything with her could not. Why couldn't they trust her? If she did know what RSOR was about, she wouldn't have told a soul if they'd just tell her. Now? After everything that happened? She would be hard pressed not to blab to Kodi, Errol, Alison, and Lena. At first it was just jealousy motivating Tamara. Now, she was in a cycle that she couldn't stop, and, to be quite honest, didn't want to at this point. She'd pushed herself past that point. Or...so she wanted to think. The truth of the matter was that she was nowhere near past that point, and that her own negative feelings were eating her up to the point where she was becoming something nasty. She was never the nicest girl anyway, but Anti-RSOR was, indeed, turning her into a person much darker than she'd originally set out to be. Her attention turned back to Orestia as she shot the other girl a death glare. What was wrong with that? What was wrong with that? What was wrong with that was that a comment like that wasn't supposed to just slide off! She wanted a reaction, and Orestia's brushing her off just infuriated her more. So much for the idea that ignoring bullies made them back off... "What's wrong with it is that it looks disgusting. Did you look at the wrong date on the calendar? Halloween is still a week away." She smiled as she heard a girl nearby laugh. Good, others were joining in... Word count: 493 To: Ali/Evie and Jez-E/Justice Notes: Tamara...you're a bitch. Seriously. I'd throw something at you if I knew you in real life. XD

It was extremely rare for Orestia to get herself worked up about stuff. She honestly didn't see the point in it. It got you nowhere and only made people look extremely stupid. Which Tamara was doing to herself right now. There were of course times when Orestia had exploded like a volcano but that had happened twice in the three years that she had attended Riverdale. It took a lot for somebody to push her over the edge but it was not impossible. It had been done. And if it wasn't going into a rage, she cried. Which again was a very rare sight.
Today Orestia's mood was like a sunny day. Now though storm clouds were rolling in blocking out some of the rays. Orestia's smile slightly faltered at Tamara's next cruel words. She was extremely clever at this game. She was one of the few who could push Orestia's buttons enough to have an effect on the Junior. If it had just been the two girls, these comments wouldn't harm Orestia's sunny nature. The fact that there was some people around listening in and laughing at what Tamara was saying to her, was what really grated on her. It was easy to read in Orestia's face that Tamara had done an almost impossible thing and had upset the girl.
She didn't know whether to answer this or to ignore it. In the end her mouth got the better of her. She wanted to demand why Tamara would say such mean things when she had never been bothered to give Orestia the time of day and get to know her. She wanted to find out if she actually enjoyed ruining people's day and denting people's esteem. Instead all that came out was a small "...what?" She looked at Tamara with what only could be described as sadness. Trust Miss Ramachander to be the one to deflate the happiest girl in school.
There was a small ringing in her ears as she heard the titters around her. What had happened to standing up for one another and classmate chilvalry? If Orestia saw someone being bullied she would step in. Now this blatent bullying aimed at her was the source of amusement for some of the student body. Orestia stood up leaving her food on her tray. She wasn't hungry anymore. She picked up the carton of orange juice and began to make her way away from that wretched girl standing before her. She could feel her eyes filling up with moisture but she didn't want to give Tamara the satisfaction that she had done what she set out to do.

i'm in the mood to help you dude, you ain't never had a friend like me JUSTICE LOGAN ==================================== Justice was having a rough week. His sister had broken it off with Hayden and had expected him to be a comfort to her as it had apparently upset her. Sylent hurting someone else shouldn’t have been something she’d come to Justice about…but he was so used to just helping her when she needed it. This time it was different. After his nephews being born, Justice had been struggling with where he stood to his sister. Sylent would always come crawling to him when she had no one else and then when that moment ended and she was back with Hayden he was cast aside like a waste of space. That day, his nephew’s coming was a glorious thing for him. And Hayden had shown up, crawling back to Sylent, she had forgiven him and Justice was told to back off. He had watched as that asshole held his nephews first, despite the scale of the fight that had happened, and then he had waited for his turn. Sylent had once again taken the mindset that Justice wasn’t worth her time and he had finally snapped.
Sylent had come running to Justice and he had brought the problem to the table…and not pleasantly. She had raged, yelled, flipped and he had done similar, though not quite so animatedly. She had decided to leave. She took his two beloved nephews and left to live with their parents in Texas. Justice was partially heart broken. He had started adopting those boys as stand ins for his Sharon and Diane. Sharon was dead, and Diane was out his reach and Justice was aware every day of her presence in this world. He wanted so badly to go to his daughter and speak to her, but he was stuck here and he didn’t have that option. She’d never believe him anyways. And his beloved Lillian was gone too…Justice was feeling incredibly alone right now.
Justice walked, dragging his feet as he moved through the Cafeteria. He had a backpack over his shoulder stashed with his art supplies as usual. His mind had been drifting when he heard the insults flying from Tamara’s mouth. He sighed to himself, and drew his head back up and looked for the poor individual who had gathered the Anti-RSOR queen’s ire. Seeing a girl in his own year, and one he knew decently well he grew rather irritated beyond the usual that Tamara brought up in him. Justice wrapped up the Vegan wrap he had been eating and shoved it in his bag, using a brisker pace now that he had a reason to move quickly.
He wasn’t quite fast enough, having realized the noise when the rest of the café paid mind to the Orestia. Now he moved, planting himself between Tamara and Orestia. Justice’s eyes showed open contempt for Tamara, something you didn’t see on Justice’s face often, especially directed at a friend. Tamara was even on good friendly terms with Justice, making this a little more awkward than it needed to be.
”Tamara, go take your issues somewhere else. Orestia has lovely hair, so there is no issue here…If you have a personal problem, deal with it instead,”
Justice stated. He didn’t like how she was treating Orestia and personally, Justice didn’t have normal hair either. In fact, his vibrant blue hair next to Orestia’s with the pink placed them in the same visual bracket. He dared Tamara to start insulting his doo. She’d find that there’s more to Justice than smiles and a light hearted nature. Justice glanced back at Orestia to make sure she was okay, but found he wasn’t getting good vibes. He hesitated a moment, waiting to see what Tamara would do before approaching Orestia directly. Tamara was the issue and once she was defused he could go do damage control. Justice scanned the crowd a moment as well. He had respect in this school and he treated everyone fairly, so there were more than a few familiar faces. ”The rest of you are just as pathetic. Go back to your own business!” He said, his tone commanding and leaking from his past life. Walt Disney hadn’t been a follower, he was an innovator and a leader. Justice could be the same, even if up till now he preferred to defer to others. This was different.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Tamara Ramachander & Orestia Barwell •• •• Words • 724 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "A Friend Like Me" From Aladdin ••

Yes, Tamara was usually on good terms with Justice. Perhaps that was why, when Justice strode up to join the fray, Tamara was taken aback. She shouldn't have been, and to some extent she recognized it. She was, after all, singling out another friend of his (one he was closer to than her, definitely) and taking everything out on the girl. Yet... Yet she'd enjoyed it. She enjoyed seeing that she'd gotten to Orestia. Rather than respond with a happy 'I don't care' attitude as she had before, she'd responded with an almost pained sounding 'what?'. She'd hit a nerve with that comment, and Tamara could not help but smirk in satisfaction, which, if anything, would probably only pour salt into the wound. She might not have seen tears but she could see the pained look in Orestia's eyes, and it brought her a savage sort of glee. It was wrong, and deep down even she knew it. Yet she'd spent the entire night after her fight with Vaughn in tears. Orestia would likely bounce back from her comments anyway. She always did. Right now, Tamara just wanted to revel in the fact that she'd gotten an awful lot of frustration off of her chest in such a short amount of time. Then Justice came up and deflated her pride a little. "Fair enough. Though don't give Orestia too much false hope now...her hair still looks like a raccoon." Unfortunately, Tamara wasn't happy unless she'd thrown in that final dig at Orestia. In this case, though, it was obvious that her heart was not in it as much. Fact was, it was a lot easier picking on someone who was sitting by herself, someone who already had a reputation for being 'weird' than it was to pick on two people like that. In addition, Justice's reputation surpassed Orestia's. Picking on Justice wouldn't yield the same results, and besides, she didn't really want to pick on Justice anyway. Most importantly, Tamara's rampage had lost steam in the first place. Once she'd gotten to Orestia, she wasn't planning on sticking around for all that long anyway. She'd achieved the result that she wanted to. Not only did she ensure that her misery had it's company, but also managed to bring that misery to, arguably, the happiest girl in school. Was it cruel? Oh hell yes. And perhaps the fact that Tamara was starting to realize that helped her to back off as well. More than likely, though, her primary motivation was that her goal was complete, and her victim was no longer alone. Therefore, Tamara turned around and headed back to the table where she was eating lunch, feeling as though a bit of weight was lifted off of her chest. Too bad it had to be at the expense of someone else... Word count: 478 To: Ali/Evie and Jez-E/Justice Notes: I'll leave the rest for Orestia and Justice. ^^ Just needed to work in a way for Tamara to leave. Poor Orestia. -Gives her a hug-

Orestia had only taken a short few steps away from Tamara, when Justice arrived metaphorically astride a horse and wearing shining armour. She assumed that he was coming over to her to share lunch with her, something that made her feel very warm inside, despite being upset at Tamara's unnecessary and malicious comments. So it took her by surprise when instead he strode right up to Tamara and gave her a piece of his mind for upsetting her. Orestia stopped in her tracks and turned around to see how Tamara would respond to this sudden outnumbering, just as Justice mentioned his opinion on her hair and how he had called it 'lovely', making her turn a deep shade of red. Just this comment was making the happiness she was famous for bubble inside her tummy.
She was glad to see that Tamara seemed to be defeated. Of course, she had to take one last swipe at Orestia but after Justice coming to her rescue like that when no one else in the entire student body had and standing up for her, it didn't bother her like the way Tamara intended it to. In fact, she realised that she could give two hoots what that nasty piece of work thought. She cared more for what her friends thought, especially a friend like Justice whom she was close with (and was admittedly in love with, although she'd never tell him that to his face). And even then it wasn't a lot...Orestia was a free spirit and enjoyed being outside of the status quo. Why should she care what some bratty Queen Bitch who was too scared to show her true self thought about her?
She hesistated for a second, letting Tamara walk away, slightly worried that Tamara would try to embarass her further by pushing her over or spilling something down her. When she had walked away, Orestia began to make her way back to Justice who then proceeded to shout at the students who had found the whole scene hillarious.
When Justice seemed to be finished in his good samaritan role, Orestia felt a whole lot better about finishing off her lunch. She made the short distance back to the table she had been sat at and placed herself down in front of the tray of food that she had left behind. She was hoping that Justice would join her so that she had some company and so that she could thank him. She also desperately wanted to know where he had gotten his hat and a t shirt from. She shuffled up on the bench, pulling her food tray with her to make room for Justice to sit down. As he stood there, she looked up at him, a small smile on her face. "Thank you for that." Although she was a lot happier now, it was clear that what Tamara had said had bugged her enough that it had made her want to cry.

i'm in the mood to help you dude, you ain't never had a friend like me JUSTICE LOGAN ==================================== Justice gave Tamara a rare dirty look. ”You got a problem with Racoons now?”
Justice asked, his voice challenging. ”Personally I am quite fond of Racoons.” Justice added before snapping at the other students. Anyone in RSOR would read more into that. After all, Pocahontas had a raccoon in it named Meeko. Sure he hadn’t worked on that particular film himself, but Justice was obsessed with Disney and that included the ones that were made after his first death. His response was quite rhetoric so it was good to see Tamara didn’t respond to it. Justice’s eyes followed her as she walked away and he didn’t turn to Orestia until he was sure Tamara had no intentions of turning around. He then turned slowly to see Orestia’s reaction to events. He only caught the lingering redness in her face and instead he was only pleased to see the last jibe hadn’t worsened the situation. It seemed that Orestia was easily pulling herself back the way she usually did. Justice was happy to see that as well. Justice was blissfully unaware of Orestia’s feelings for him. Hell, Justice had a hard time thinking in terms of dating and romance. He was head over heels for his wife in his first life and though she had moved on after his death, Justice couldn’t just move on the same way. At least not yet. Lillian and their two daughters had been his world and to have that taken from him hurt horribly. In fact, one of his daughters was still alive today. That made the torment that much worse, as he could never approach his lovely Diane and she would one day die. He would grieve the day she died, as much as he grieved for Sharon and his lovely Lillian. Justice watched as Orestia moved back to her table to finish her lunch and he continued over to join her. Instead of pulling out his art supplies he dished out a container of organic vegetables and an organic vegetable hummus dip. ”It’s not a problem. Tamara can be a nasty piece of work sometimes…try not to let her bother you.” Justice said with a natural smile pulling across his face now that the ordeal had passed. ”She is just taking her own insecurities or issues out on you.” Justice explained, knowing that most bullies harmed others for those reasons. He smiled, as he popped a piece of cucumber in his mouth and once it was swallowed he decided to make conversation. ”So the lovely raccoon who apparently inspired your hair…was it a male or female?” He asked with a chuckle. ”And more importantly, where is he or she so I can get some personal hair advice.” He added, turning what Tamara said into pleasant conversation and in turn also belittling Tamara’s credibility in regard to Orestia’s hair.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Tamara Ramachander & Orestia Barwell •• •• Words • 475 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "A Friend Like Me" From Aladdin •• •• Notes • Sorry about the small repeat on his past family issues. Little things like what he had just said was exactly why she had fallen hook, line and sinker for him. Although she didn't and would never understand the hidden meaning behind what he was saying she still found it rather funny and also adorable. She flashed a smile after he had said this, probably winding Tamara up even more before moving back to the table to finish of her lunch. It was definitely an impressive feat of Orestia's, being able to go back to being so happy even if her feelings had just been incredibly hurt. But that was the effect Justice had on her. He could make her happy just walking into a room.
In a way it was a relief for Justice to be unaware of her true feelings for him. But in another way, she wanted nothing more than to stand on a rooftop and shout to him and the world just how madly in love with him she was. It was hard sometimes...some days she wanted to just walk right up to him and kiss him and other days she cursed the feelings she had for him, because he never reciprocated them. She wondered if he had been heartbroken in the past, and although she was bang on with this perspective, she would never fully know the extent of it. All she figured was that he was still grieving the end of a relationship, but then come to think of it, she didn't remember him ever having a girlfriend. Perhaps he would only ever see her as a friend. At this thought her heartstrings tugged slightly, but her smile remained on her face. He was there right now, thats what mattered the most.
As always he seemed to get that Tamara had gotten to her. She nodded at him telling her not let Tamara get to her. It was usually a piece of cake but she had been feeling slightly fragile for some time, trying to work out her feelings for Justice and questioning her heart as such, so things were getting to her a bit easier. She always bounced back though, that was the main thing. It was pretty impressive really. Nobody could extinguish the fire in her. Nobody. "I just wish it wasn't always me. I try to be nice to her always and then she's just really negative back. I may as well give up. Some people are just too set in their ways." Considering Orestia was rather dimwitted and slow, this was a rather accurate summary of Tamara and in her Orestia-ry way she had managed to conclude by not being nasty about her. She really was a little ray of sunshine.
She liked the turn of conversation that Justice took. He really did know how to fully cheer her up. If there was one thing that she was proud of, then it was her hair and the fact that he was using this to compliment her made her beam at him. "I think it was male. Unless it was a butch looking female? Pretty sure he said he was the raccoon from that Disney film, Hercules." Oh bless Orestia. Getting the movie wrong to a Disney lover was one thing, getting it wrong to its reincarnated founder was another. Although she didn't know this of course. "It kind of depends what hair advice your going for. See, raccoons are good about hair cuts, but then if you need advice about colours its always best to talk to a squirrel." She giggled at this, her mood back to its finest. Justice, you absolute hero.

i'm in the mood to help you dude, you ain't never had a friend like me JUSTICE LOGAN ==================================== Justice not only understood, but respected the way Orestia bounced back from teasing. He understood in the sense that often those teasing had things to say that couldn’t help but be hurtful but to abide by them and believe those words…that wasn’t worth it. It was so much more logical to drop what they said and move on with your day, allowing you to still smile and enjoy what the day had to bring. At the same time, respect came for anyone who could do that, seeing as it was a difficult thing to learn to do. People could be so hurtful with their words sometimes saying ‘get over it’ was much easier than doing it.
Justice remained completely oblivious however, to the effect he had on her in this instance. He didn’t realize that he was part of the reason she was able to bounce back so easily this time. For someone who had lived such a long and loving life, he was oblivious to the signs that could tell him of Orestia’s feelings. And it wasn’t necessarily that he didn’t want to see them, so much as the fact that he wasn’t looking for them.
It was hard for him to explain the feelings he did have to anyone outside of RSOR of course. No one else would ever believe Justice had been in a long, serious and personal relationship for years and was having a hard time moving on. No one normal that is. He was a teenage boy after all, and “teenagers didn’t have long and meaningful relationships.” So Justice suffered silently a lot of the time, appearing unbothered by his past life’s experiences. It could always be worse. Justice’s issue was with the transition from one life to another, many had issues in their first life that were irreversible and unforgettable. He’d much rather be in his place than there’s.
Justice nodded in agreement and somewhat in sympathy. It was hard not to feel bad for the girl. Teasing was never easy to endure and when you were different enough, teasing was to be expected. Though, surely if she kept up the way she was eventually the teasing would stop. ”I am sure she teases more people than just you, but it appears to be just you from your perspective. She isn’t worth your time with the way she treats you. Though, people who hurt you in any way are often confused by getting kindness in return. It’s up to you what you choose to do, but I think Tamara could use a little kindness, even if she doesn’t want it,”
Justice offered. It wasn’t just because Justice was on good terms with Tamara and generally could consider her a friend that made him say that. Justice got along with almost anyone if they’d let him and his friend base meant he was rarely teased, despite the fact that he also had his strange things that people could easily target, much like Orestia. Justice grinned from ear to ear when Orestia jumped on his string of conversation. ”Male? Really. From Hercules!?” Justice asked, looking surprised and amused. He didn’t bother correcting her and left it be. He’d watch more Disney movies with her later to correct her, rather than draw attention to her mistake. She wasn’t aware of who she was really talking to anyways, and never would be, sadly. Justice loved her turn with the Squirrels so much he couldn’t help but add ”Okay then! I will be sure to ask the next squirrel I see what I should do with my hair colour next if I choose to change it. Though, I must say, I better hunt down a raccoon sometime soon. I am most definitely in need of a haircut!” Justice added, he couldn’t help but chuckle with her. ”So Tamara aside, how has life been treating you? Good I hope…Nothing causing you any troubles right?” He asked. He knew full well his own life had been a bit rough lately, and he really didn’t want to see anyone else having a hard time. No matter who they were. But Orestia had a spirit like none other and that meant he was really hoping things would turn up for her soon in the bullying area.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Tamara Ramachander & Orestia Barwell •• •• Words • 713 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "A Friend Like Me" From Aladdin •• •• Notes • xD Adorable. ••

Getting over being teased so quickly was something that Orestia had always known how to do. It was as though it was in her DNA for criticism to bounce right off of her. It wasn't just her appearance that earned some remarks, but for most of her life she had had to endure school reports of 'must try harder blah blah blah' and even people twisting her around their fingers because being gullible, she was easily misled. If she was going to survive, she had to grow a backbone and that had turned out to be one of the strongest traits of her personality. She realised that it was a lot harder for other people to do though and kind of felt lucky that it was an instinct that seemed to have been born into her.
Orestia knew Justice well enough to know that there was something always hanging over his shoulders. She would sadly never know what it was but that didn't mean that she wouldn't try and cheer him up from time to time particularly on days when he didn't seem to be himself. She of course knew about his and Sylent's fall out and guessed that a lot of it was based around that. They had always been extremely close and for Sylent to take off so suddenly with his nephews was surely extremely upsetting for him. She was incredibly close to her big brother Tom, so she could understand why Justice would be so upset over this whole situation - she knew that she would be devastated. Unfortunately, she couldn't be off help to him for his lost love Lillian and their two daughters (even though one was still alive - he could not see her though).
It made her feel a whole lot better when Justice gave his view on Tamara. He was right of course...Tamara might be nasty but show her enough kindness and she might start to see the good in people. This was something else that she adored about Justice - he hardly had a bad thing to say about anyone, even if they full deserved it. "I guess your right. Even if it's a hello...at least I'm not sinking to a low level. She might need someone to say hello to her every once in a while." Orestia didn't know Tamara but even she knew that she was upset at the moment from what was going around the schoo. In truth she felt a little sympathy for her, but it still did not give her an excuse to throw her weight around and try to make people feel inferior.
Orestia didn't really get from Justice's tone that she had gotten the wrong movie all together. It was actually herself who suddenly realised that raccoons and Hercules didn't mix somehow after hearing him mention it again. "Wait...thats the wrong film. Pretty sure it was Mulan? Yeah it was! I remember the bit when she's getting prepared for a wedding and the raccoon causes a mess!" She blinked grinning, taking another sip of her juice. Where she had gotten a racoon from in this scene was unknown.
She grinned even more, posivtively beaming from ear to ear as Justice carried on their chit chat about raccoons and squirrels. "I can cut your hair for you tonight if you like? I do my own so I know what I'm doing...I won't scalp you I promise! Pretty sure the raccoon hairdresser is going out on a date tonight with a badger." She smiled at him waiting for him to answer. She figured that if he said yes, then they could do something fun after as well, like bowling or shopping.
She didn't really expect what Justice asked her next. It was a typical question to ask a friend who was bullied sometimes but after the chaotic thoughts that had been running through her mind recently about the boy sitting across from her she wasn't really sure how to answer without him asking her more questions. "Er yeah everythings fine my end. I have a new kitten called Ron! He's ginger and very fluffy so I use him as my pillow. Don't think he likes that though..." She pulled a face at this analysis hoping that the spotlight was on Ron and not on her. But then she felt rude not asking him how he was. "How about you? And where did you get your hat from?! I want one!" She grinned at him, still eyeing up the hate he was wearing. In truth she wanted his entire outfit but that hat...wow!

i'm in the mood to help you dude, you ain't never had a friend like me JUSTICE LOGAN ==================================== Justice didn’t consider school reports saying the student needed to try harder as bullying. He saw it as criticism. But for someone who was always hearing the negatives about themselves it was natural to accept it as yet another type of bully pounding away at your self-esteem. Then again, the school system today was all about self-esteem. Justice didn’t remember school being anything like this the first time around. It was much harsher and if you messed up, then you paid for it, even if it was an honest mistake. In today’s world, you messed up and they assumed it was a mistake if there was no proof otherwise. Both systems were quite flawed…they were just two extremes.
Naturally hearing all the negatives could lead to several consequences. Some people, like Justice, learned to read other people effectively and as a result became able to easily befriend everyone, neutralizing the problem long in advance. And it wasn’t like he was befriending people for false reasons. He now, genuinely, wanted to be their friends. There was also the man-up option, which led the victim to become the bully. The ignoring it option, which often meant the Bullies would bug off (Orestia had chosen this) and the last one was the forget it all happened after the fact, but suffer at the time. Hell, some suffered it and never forgot. Every method has it’s unhealthy aspects, but then again, Bullying as a whole was unhealthy. The world needed more people to stand up and fight against the bullying.
Justice was often unaware that much like he read other people, others could often pick up on aspects of him as well. Some were aware of his predicament with regard to his past family. Some, even in RSOR, were blissfully blind to it. And some picked up on the vibes, but had no idea where the vibes came from. He was unaware of Orestia’s feeling of those vibes. Then again, he was unaware of many things he didn’t want to see or deal with. The last thing he needed was to draw more attention to those vibes and lie to her, or deflect her questions. At least with regard to Sylent he could give the bulk of the story, leaving out only the awkward past life secret sharing aspect.
What Orestia loved in Justice some saw as his biggest flaw. Justice had a hard time looking at the bad in people. He knew it was there, but he wanted to believe the good was dominant inside them and as a result he believed it until he was proven so far otherwise that he found it impossible to refute that they were evil by nature. So far, one person had gotten that far and was just started to redeem himself…Raven of course.
Justice smiled, pleased and fond of her for understanding, despite her situation with Tamara. If was that heart that Justice liked so much about Orestia. ”I agree completely. I think there is more to her than we all see. And I know from experience she is hurt by the distance RSOR has caused between her and her sister. A lot of what she does is acting on emotion and I think the more people who show her a little kindness the better.”
Justice added. ”That doesn’t mean she has a right to push you around of course…” tacked onto the end. Justice felt the smile spread across his face when she added that it was Mulan and once again got the incorrect movie. He couldn’t help his amusement. ”Actually, Mulan doesn’t have any raccoons, though there is a cricket and a dragon. You are thinking of Pocahontas.” He corrected her this time. He was far from teasing her and used a tone that was gentle and far from condescending. ”Perhaps we should get together more often and watch Disney movies? If you are up to it.” Justice offered with a smile. ”You could cut my hair at the first one if you like. Tonight sounds like a good time for me.” He offered with a grin. He grinned ear to ear at her idea of the Badger going out with the raccoon. ”A Badger? That is ambitious of the dear Racoon. I hope the date goes well!” He offered with a wide grin. ”Personally, I think the raccoon could probably benefit more from the ever fashionable Squirrel.” He added, bringing the conversation into a full circle. Justice was a little surprised when she mentioned the new kitten. ”A Kitten!? Wow!! And Ron…did you name him after the Weasley?” he asked, interested in where she chose the name from. ”He sounds adorable! I’d love to meet him!” Justice offered. Justice shrugged. ”I am adjusting to the changes in my home life, but I am still happy, just a different type than before.” He offered. ”Disney store. Or maybe I ordered this one online. It’s hard to keep them all straight sometimes.” He added with a laugh. ”Let me take a look and see if I can find the source and I’ll be sure to grab you one.” Justice offered.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Tamara Ramachander & Orestia Barwell •• •• Words • 855 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "A Friend Like Me" From Aladdin •• •• Notes • xD Adorable. ••

Orestia had two extremes of people moulding her self esteem. She was either pushed around and made to feel inferior, because of what she was. She was a bit odd...she didn't fit in with the status quo but that did not personally trouble her. What troubled her more than anything was that people were made to feel like they could not be themselves, and that for Orestia (who had always been herself) was an extremely sad thought. There were times when even her parents said something that dented her slightly. It was only a dent after all and after a few moments it was forgotten. The people who teased her? She ignored them...haters were going to hate and she could never aesthetically please everybody. That was an unhealhty thing to strive for.
The other extreme was from the people who enjoyed her company and constantly complimented her sunny personality and her zest for life. Whilst this was good for someone like Orestia to hear, it could also get confusing at times. Who was she supposed to be? Was she supposed to blend in and merge into the same clothes and accessories as her peers? Or was she to take a risk and stand out from the crowd because this also pleased a handful of people? She had chosen the latter route long ago with the help off some other people in her life who were different. Emri for example. At the end of the day she was happy to walk about the way she did and act the way she did. It was with this mentality that her confidence brimmed from.
Justice was right in his thinking though. The world would be a better place if people could just accept others for who they wanted to be and what they were about. Aside from the serial killers of course. And so Orestia was a prime example to the school outsiders on how to stay happy even in the face of adversity. And really...if Orestia was willing to give Tamara another chance even if she didn't deserve it persay, then couldn't Tamara give the Junior a chance too? It sadly would never happen - like Orestia had said, some people were just too far gone. But that didn't mean that she wouldn't have another go at chatting to her. She smiled at what Justice said about Tamara, feeling that he couldn't have put it in better words than her. She couldn't think off anything to add onto this - he had covered it more or less.
She let the conversation drift to less serious discussions, which was still nonetheless amusing for both of them. After getting a Disney movie wrong for the second time, he finally corrected her and it all came together in her head. Ah she remembered now! "Oh yes Meeko!" Her eyes sparkled at this sudden realisation but her brow furrowed suddenly, with a look of amusement dominant on her face still. "Where did I even get a raccoon from in Mulan? A dragon doesn't even look like a raccoon and a raccoon doesn't look like a dragon." This thought baffled her slightly.
So it was good timing when Justice suggested that they hang out more to watch Disney movies. This excited her enough that she bobbed about in her seat suddenly, hanging onto the side of the chair so that she wouldn't suddenly jump up from the sudden burst of energy. And he even agreed to her cutting his hair. She mentally remembered where she had left her scissors and hoped to God that she had cleaned them after trimming Ron's fur. "Yes! That would be so fun! And tonight is good for me too, I don't have any homework due in till next week so thats not a problem. But what can we watch?" She was beginning to talk fast and had to slow herself down at the end of this sentence so that Justice could keep up with her.
The whole conversation about badgers, squirrels and raccoons was enough to set her giggling as she picked up a cookie that she had been saving. "The raccoon and squirrel do sound a better match actually. Their fur would be awesome!" She was imagining all sorts of crazy patterns on the squirrels tail and was having amusing imagery flashing though her head. She suddenly remembered her cookie but before taking a bite she snapped it in half, handing a piece to Justice before tucking in.
It was a good thing that she had swallowed her piece of cookie because Justice's questioning on Ron almost made her choke in excitement. "YES!" She shouted out before she could stop herself, earning quite a few odd glances in their general direction. She was too besotted about her kitten to notice though and carried on as if she hadn't just shouted out. And when it came to Ron, she rambled. "He's named after Ron Weasley...he's my favourite character in Harry Potter! He's so friendly...he'll literally play with anyone. You will definitely have to meet him! I like running through the house with a fake mouse on a string so that he's chasing me everywhere. Although he did roll down the stairs at one point and squashed his ear but he was okay after a couple of days. I want to teach him how to backflip of a couch but I'm not sure if cats can do that. The only way I can think off is that if I throw him in the air and flip him, he'll learn that that is what I want him to do!" She took a breath after this and a sip of her juice calming down. Once the subject came to her kitten, she could ramble on at the speed of a jet. It didn't even cross her mind that she had had the same exact conversation with Breezy, nor did it cross her mind that throwing Ron about in the way she had described might hurt him. Luckily, her parents knew exactly how excitable Orestia could get when she had an idea in her head, and would be able to stop her before she could throw him.
She smiled at what he said. He was coping - that was the main thing. She wanted to let him know that he could hang with her if things got bad but she didn't know how to do this appropriately. Thus she stuck to something basic. "That's good to hear. I hope you realise that you can always chat to me if you need it. I might be a bit whacky but I'm quite a good friend like that." She grinned at this evaluation of herself, the grin becoming bigger when Justice mentioned he would try and find her the same hat. "Thanks! Can I try it on?" She was almost at the point of pulling it off his head herself, but she would ask for. That seemed to be more polite anyway.

i'm in the mood to help you dude, you ain't never had a friend like me JUSTICE LOGAN ==================================== Justice had always found it easy to be himself. His parents in the past were very gracious and he had big dreams that once made into a reality left him free to not only be himself, but to show the world what he could be. In this life he had parents who were distant and let their children run wild and do as they pleased. Justice’s confidence from his past life had easily oozed into this life and he found himself able to do whatever he felt like doing, but with an air of knowing what he was doing. This confidence meant that much like Orestia he had a harder time understanding people who were not themselves all the time, and he also felt pity for them in many ways. A fear of being yourself is a far worse fear than any Justice could imagine. So it was very natural that Justice would gravitate to and respect someone like Orestia. She was in her own rite, much like a Disney character Justice would write into one of his many animated films...
Justice really hoped that Orestia at least got the Disney Movie ending considering. A happily ever after would be perfect for someone like Orestia. Her shining personality and her confidence...yes, she was the perfect heroine for a Disney Movie. Perhaps in the future he would make one based on her. Maybe through Pixar, as Justice had come to see that branch of the Disney company as one of the ones that held best to the values he had set down back in the beginning.
Justice couldn’t help the smile on his face at seeing her face light up when he provided the correct Disney film. In that single moment, Justice had a feeling of fondness he may later look back on but for the moment was still too wrapped in the past to notice. But he felt that pride too, knowing that she also had a fondness for Disney. Hers was different however, seeing as she wasn’t the creator of the originals.
Justice laughed at her baffled thought of the raccoon and the dragon. ”I see some similarities. They are both sidekicks. They both have ears. They both have a mouth and a Dragon could look just like a raccoon if you shape the head a certain way.”
he offered. ”Though, Mushu isn’t exactly Meeko-esque.” His tone suggested amusement and delight, making it sound very far from teasing. Orestia’s energy was infectious and Justice found himself not only looking forward to that night, but quite excited for it. ”Well, we could go A – Z or we can select at Random. We could go based on theme, or just pick our favourites. Perhaps Pocahontas and Mulan tonight?” He offered with a wide grin. ”I’ve also wanted to watch Aladdin recently but haven’t gotten around to it. I’ll swing by my house to pick up whichever we choose to watch before heading you your house.” Justice offered. Justice smiled widely, ”Indeed” He said, agreeing to the visual of the raccoon and squirrel fur. He took the other half of the cookie without question. ”Thank you, “ he said, taking a bite of it and enjoying the flavour for a moment. She may not of choked, but he did when she shouted, as it had startled him and he swallowed quickly before starting to laugh. ”He sounds marvellous. Though, I am not sure how you would get him to backflip. Have you tried getting him to walk backwards to start? If you start getting him adjusted to going backwards maybe he will do it himself?” Justice offered, not even sure if cats could move backwards comfortably, seeing as he had never tried that with their old barn cat. Justice had no fear of Orestia throwing the cat in backward circles, seeing as the cat would still manage just fine. ”Just be sure to take him to the vet if he gets hurt in the process,” Justice offered up, hoping that was enough to make her consider his safety a bit more carefully. Justice considered what Orestia had just offered and found himself smiling with gratefulness. ”I appreciate that, thank you. If I need to talk I will be sure to let you know.” He wasn’t going to turn down that offer but for the moment he had little he wanted to discuss on events as they had happened. He was still working through parts on his own and for now he needed that personal adjustment before he dealt with the emotional backlash. Justice found himself quickly tipping the hat off his head and handing it to Orestia. ”Of course.” He added, his grin more than amused at her interest in his hat. ”I found it quite charming...” [/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Tamara Ramachander & Orestia Barwell •• •• Words • 795 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "A Friend Like Me" From Aladdin •• •• Notes • xD Adorable. ••
