And now I'm breathing deeply, walking backwards Finding strength to call and ask her It would seem that Xavier had succeeded in getting Breezy to go ice skating with him. He wasn’t sure if it counted as a date, but at least it was something. Sure it was under the premise that she was teaching him how to ice skate, but that could just lead to more amusing things. Thus he was going to meet her there and started walking. He couldn’t drive being that the legal age in his country was eighteen and all. Which, honestly he thought was kind of lame, but that was probably because he had been an American in his first life. Otherwise he probably would have thought it was normal and that people could drive at sixteen here was weird. Ah well, just another thing to add up to having a past life. He certainly couldn’t get his license here unless he was a resident of the state, and technically he was only boarding at the school and that didn’t exactly count. He also had no way to practice driving anyway, so he might as well just wait until he could get it back home and then maybe become a US citizen and retake the test or whatever. Anyway though, he made his way to the rink with a bag of clothes to change into because he wasn’t going to dress warmly when it was close to summer and thus warm outside. Especially being that he was walking instead of driving there and thus would overheat before he got there.
Once he finally got to the rink he really was warm and reluctantly switched to pants and had a zip up over his t-shirt before getting skates. He hadn’t seen Breezy yet, and figured she could always text him when she got there. Or, if she was already there then they could text to figure out a place to meet up. He sent her a message that said that he had arrived at the ice skating rink and to let him know when she got there or if she was already here to let him know where she was. He sat himself on a bench and pondered what to do while he waited for a reply or for her to just find him without a text. Either way was fine with him just so long as they got to go ice skating soon because he wanted to see if he would do any better this time. He would probably still run into walls to stop, but that was because the stopping system on ice skates was weird and he didn’t quite understand it yet. Sure he could always just wait until he slowed down, but if he wanted to stop quickly a wall would work just fine. Well, it left bruises sometimes if he was going too fast, but that wasn’t that big of a deal right?
Spotting some familiar blonde hair out of the corner of his eye, he waved and waited for her to notice him. He was pretty positive it was her, and so he figured he would try and get her attention to let her know where he was. Though she probably would have realized when she went to put her skates on anyway, but still he was going to wave at her.

As much as Breezy was pushing her brother to admit his feelings to himself and Orestia, she had yet to come out to Justice about her brewing feelings for Xavier. It wasn't that she thought Justice would mind all that much. He and Xavier were in the same grade, and were on decent terms with one another. In fact, Breezy was even pretty sure that the two older boys were friends. That presented a bit of a quandary, however. Breezy could recall Justice's reaction to Hayden when he discovered that Sylent was pregnant. Mind, that was after Sylent fell pregnant, and he was pretty angry at Sylent too. He didn't seem to mind the relationship in itself all that much, it was just the complication that threw him over the edge. Sylent, though, was Justice's age. Justice saw Sylent as an equal. She wasn't so sure that Justice viewed her the same way. He might have recently discovered that she was a reincarnate as well, but she was still his little sister. And she knew damn well that Justice had a fiercely protective side. It was in both her and Xavier's best interests to see how this date went before mentioning anything to Justice. Breezy was supposed to be meeting Xavier at an indoor ice skating rink in town. The time of year made it easy to just walk across the town rather than ask for a ride from her grandmother, who would no doubt ask questions. Walking, though, she could just say that she was going to town to hang out with some friends and her grandmother wouldn't see that she was going to meet a boy two years older than her. The age difference didn't matter as much when one took into consideration that Breezy was a reincarnate, but her grandmother didn't exactly fit into the camp that had that information. Also because of the time of year, they'd agreed on an indoor ice skating rink, as anything outdoors was not only melted but probably warm enough for swimming. Summer was fast approaching, after all. After reaching the rink, Breezy quickly changed into warmer clothes to compensate for the cooler temperature indoors. It was actually quite refreshing to go from the warm summer air into this. She might have to do this more often over the summer! So that her hair didn't whip around in her face while she was skating, she tied it back into a ponytail before leaving the bathroom to purchase her skates. Once she was finished with this, the only thing left was to wait for Xavier...or find Xavier, depending on who arrived first. As she saw a waving motion out of the corner of her eye, the answer became clear, and she smiled as she approached Xavier. She knew it was him instantly...his hair made him stand out. "You know, you don't have to wave. I saw your hair before I saw your hand."[/color] She teased. Really, it was the other way around, but she wasn't about to miss the opportunity to poke at him a bit. She did recognize the waver almost instantly because he had hair that stood out, after all, so part of it did fit. Word count: 549 To: Xavier/Cal Notes: Nada

And now I'm breathing deeply, walking backwards Finding strength to call and ask her Xavier had quite a crush on the younger sister of one of his good friends. Sure he hadn’t initially realized she was his sister, but he had figured that much out by now and wondered how it would impact their friendship. Hopefully Justice would be alright with it, but if not he wasn’t sure what he was going to do. Technically they were all adults in teenagers’ bodies after all so what was the harm in dating her? Sure he was two years older, but that shouldn’t make much of a difference if you were reincarnated. He had a feeling that Justice was going to be an overprotective older brother though and wasn’t exactly looking forward to telling him. Hopefully he wouldn’t get punched in the face or something, but they still had to see how this date went because they weren’t officially together. He was hoping that they would be soon though because he definitely was interested in her, and thought she may be interested in him as well. Why else would she agree to come on this date? Or…was it a date? He was hoping it was a date.
Thus he was at the ice rink and had managed to spot Breezy and waved her over. Her statement made him laugh. ”That wouldn’t surprise me, but the waving motion does help catch your eye I feel. “ he said back with a smile. He then proceeded to stand up and run a hand through his hair. ”Shall we go then?” he asked with a grin. He had to say that he wasn’t exactly nervous around her either, but then again he was a pretty collected person. Or maybe it was due to the fact that he’s spent years getting drunk and not caring what he did. That could be a good possibility as well. Anyway though, it was about time they got out on the ice. He figured she would follow him and started walking towards the ice. Did he mention how shitty it was walking on non-ice land in ice skates? The damn things were heavy and awkward to walk in. It was a wonder nobody fell before even getting on the ice.
He managed to hobble his way over and stepped onto the ice quite carefully. He scooted over a bit on the wall so that Breezy could join him and so he could gain balance, or attempt to, before skating about. Now, it hadn’t exactly been long since he skated last, but still it was the whole getting your balance thing he seemed to be having issues with. ”So, I feel I’m going to fall a lot. I apologize in advance if I drag you down with me.” he said with a grin and a laugh. Well, it was true enough after all, and he knew he was going to fall at least a few times before the end of the trip, might as well apologize for dragging her with him, if he grabbed her by reflex, if it ended up happening. He had a feeling it might though, and hey that could end up a bit amusing, or just plain awkward. Either way though he wasn't going to be letting it bother him in the slightest. Hopefully she wouldn't be bothered by it either though, because otherwise this could be a quite miserable day.
