This event was the closest Freya had gotten to having her art placed in a true art gallery in this life. The unfortunate part was that she had to be extra careful about what she did for the Open House. The art she displayed here couldn't be too similar to the art that she did in her past life. For one, that would be putting RSOR in danger. For another? Most of it wasn't exactly school appropriate, so to speak. Then again, neither were many of the requests that she was getting from people passing by. To be fair, Freya wasn't the only one receiving such requests - The entire painter's booth, which consisted of her, Chess, and Marcus, kept getting requests to do sketches of objects apparently given away at the sculptor's booth. Freya honestly couldn't believe that Angelo had gotten away with it for this long, but apparently people weren't very observant. Or maybe they just didn't want to admit that the small sculptures that they were receiving from the young man at the sculpting booth were suspiciously phallic shaped. Either way, it was bringing Freya some much needed amusement. The sophomore chuckled as she began on yet another request, letting the person who requested it know that it would be a few minutes and that they could continue walking around and come back in a few minutes if they would like. Then she started painting. Word count: 238 To: Open Notes: Ayup

Chess had a booth with Freya and Marcus and so far it had certainly been interesting. Angelo had definitely been bending a few rules with what he was doing, and none of them were going to say a word about it. They wouldn’t be selling him out for it after all mostly because it was hilarious. Thus they would let Hanston notice on her own if she ever did and until then they would just paint the sculptures without too much comment and would giggle to themselves as they did so. Anyway though she was making her way back to the booth after looking around a bit and had been hit with a band-aid that stated “Raven says Hi” and was given one to stick on Freya as well. Sure she could always ignore the psycho at the medical booth, but might as well humor him for now since he seemed to be playing as nice as he could considering he was, in fact, a psycho.
Anyway, she walked back to her booth and hopped onto her seat before looking at Freya who seemed to be doing a commission from Angelo’s booth again. Ah well, seemed that he hadn’t been caught yet and so it was just more amusement for them. Remembering she was supposed to Band-Aid the girl next to her she pulled it out and stuck it to her before picking up a paintbrush and painting a heart on the other girl’s face just for funsies. ”The psycho at first aid demanded I band-aid you a message. Also, I’m bored so I’m painting on you kay?” she said with a giggle and a grin at Freya. Sure she may be distracting the other girl from her commission, but it wasn’t going to take long to paint the object and thus a slight distraction was fine right?

The good part about having three people at a booth was that as little as one person could man the booth while the other two walked around, if they so decided. So was the case with Chess and Marcus. Freya didn't much mind - She intended to walk around later on. As it was, Lucien Sharp apparently hadn't signed up for a booth at all, and lingered around her booth for a short visit. She hoped that Lucien was pleased with the portrait she made of him. In typical Freya style, the picture wasn't 100% realistic, but rather a caricature of sorts depicting Lucien in the likes of an old troll doll from the early 90s. His blonde hair had stood up in a similar fashion. His features, while still recognizable, had taken on a troll-ish appearance, and the finishing touch (and one of Freya's favorites), was the inclusion of a t-shirt with a red gem placed directly over the stomach - again, in the fashion of an old troll doll. Freya was nearly finished with her latest rendition of an Angelo sculpture when she noticed a streak of blue in the corner of her vision. There were two people who had blue hair at Riverdale, both likely to spend time at a painter's booth, and therefore Freya had to look up to affirm the identity of the blue-haired person - Chess. As Chess stuck a band-aid on her face, Freya let out a snort. "If you see him before I do let him know that I owe him one." The sophomore didn't even flinch at the feeling of a paintbrush hitting her face. She knew Chess well enough to know that the other girl was very touchy-feely, and that she could expect to be drawn or painted on at least weekly in the course of their friendship. "That's fine, just don't be surprised if you start having to paint dick sculptures again. They're selling like hotcakes, apparently." She found the whole thing expressly amusing as she set her latest piece down on the table, giving it the once over to deem it acceptable before turning her attention back to Chess. "If you don't mind, I think I might paint on you when you're done with me..." She stated, shrugging. Word count: 395 To: Open Notes: Ayup

It seemed Chess had shown up at the perfect time being that Freya was just about done with her latest commission from some random person who had gotten a sculpture off of their resident loner. She had been walking around for a bit and of course had rolled her eyes and Errol’s antics. It was like he was asking to get trolled hardcore to the point of nonsense at this point. If they had just done a normal booth then maybe they wouldn’t have done anything, but with the way he was acting it was like he wanted them to do something. It was like he was baiting them into it just to see if it would make them reveal anything about the RSOR. Which, clearly, wouldn’t happen but still it was nonsense that he was doing it regardless and thus she was ignoring his antics. He could be very hard to ignore at times, but still she was going to do her best.
Anyway though she appeared behind Freya and stuck a band-aid on her face with a note that it was from Raven. If she couldn’t guess from the hint of psycho at the first aid booth then the girl was dense and so she was glad that she caught on. ”I shall do so, otherwise you can tell him yourself.” she noted with a smile. It was then that the junior hit Freya’s face with a paintbrush and began to paint on her. She did this quite often being that it was just her personality to do so. Anyway though she heard Freya and let out a giggle. ”I’m just surprised that none of the teachers have caught on yet and reported it to Hanston. Glad, but still surprised because it is just much too funny for us and I will be sad to see it vanish.” she noted with a grin while continuing to paint on the other girl. Then it was stated that Freya would be painting on her as well and another giggle escaped Chess. ”Certainly, we can be covered in paint and it will fit the theme of our booth just fine.” she noted with a grin. They could actually paint one another at the same time even if they were painting different areas that were easy to reach because of the angle. ”Depending on where you want to paint you could start while I paint you actually.” she said with a grin.

While Marcus was still off somewhere else, Freya and Chess were manning the painter's booth. Freya could take this opportunity to wander off and explore some of the booths for herself, but she opted not to at this point in time. Chess had only just arrived, after all, and there were still a couple of hours left in the Open House. She would have plenty of time to check everything later. Freya couldn't help but wonder what Chess was painting on her face. "What are you putting on your canvas today?" She wasn't too picky about what was depicted on her face. What's more, painting each other's faces could be considered an additional advertisement for the club they'd set up a booth for. So why not have a little fun while they didn't have anyone visiting their booth? Noting what Chess stated next, Freya gave another snort and grinned a little. "Maybe they have noticed and just don't care to say anything. Or maybe it's better than dealing with what Angelo would throw at them if he didn't let them have his fun. I hear he's pretty loaded, you know." It wasn't something that she knew for sure, but there were a few hints that Angelo came from money. Freya tried not to move too much as Chess painted her face. That said, when she had the chance, she grabbed a paintbrush of her own and dabbed it in paint before turning her attention to Chess's forehead. From there, she started to paint a third eye. Sure she knew that Freya might want to walk around, but figured if that was the case then she could always ask Chess to quit painting on her so she could wander a bit. Besides they had all the rest of the day to do so and thus plenty of time. Thus, for now she was going to continue painting on the other girl in front of her simply because it was fun. Besides, if Errol saw he might get jealous and quit with his stupidity for a few minutes. That in itself would be completely worth it, but she doubted it would happen. Anyway though, she heard the younger girl’s question and smiled a bit. ”A butterfly and a rainbow and and a flower and……swirls.” she said excitedly with a grin. So yeah it was a bunch of things that she hadn’t completely started yet but this was where her plans were going and thus she might as well say since Freya did actually ask. Besides it might get more people interested in their booth if they were doing face painting as well.
There was also the fact that it was fun and they definitely had time to spare being that nobody was at their booth for the moment. Hearing the other girl’s reply she giggled a little bit. That might hold some truth to it actually, and would explain quite a bit certainly. ”I hadn’t thought about that aspect, but yeah that would make some sense too actually.” she noted with a bit of a shrug before continuing to paint on her canvas. At least the girl wasn’t squirming too much and it would certainly help this come out much nicer. Chess was far too lazy at the moment to wash out her brush then deal with possibly damp paint so she was just switching brushes for each color. Besides, as long as she kept the brushes wet it shouldn’t matter. It was only when the paint dried in those brushes did it matter because then they got all sorts of jacked up and were annoying to paint with.
Her eyes watched as Freya dipped a brush into some paint and then started to paint on her forehead. She tried not to move too much, but couldn’t help looking up to see nothing being that you can’t exactly see what’s on your own forehead. Still though it was a habit and thus she did so before going back to painting. ”So, what are you painting?” she asked with a smile.

If Freya truly wanted to walk around at that particular moment, she would have let Chess know. Freya wasn't the type of girl to just sit and let things happen. She had nothing against those sorts of girls, but that wasn't her. No, she would have spoken up. She realized that she still had plenty of time, and while she had Chess there to amuse her she might as well make the best of it. Freya couldn't help but smirk a little. That sounded like Chess' typical style. The two girls' styles were different, but Freya found that she wasn't too picky. Chess was good company, after all, and that was what mattered to Freya. Although the chances of their pictures being displayed in the same gallery at some place other than a high school was slim to none... "Well, think about it. He switched dorms by just asking to switch dorms. There had to be something to sweeten the deal for the administration here, or they wouldn't have done it." It made sense to Freya, at least. She continued to paint, dabbing her paintbrush without even looking down to see what color it was. She figured that might disrupt Chess, and besides, she'd make due with what she had. When Chess asked her what she was painting, Freya answered easily. "A third eye on your forehead." She didn't think that Chess would mind too much anyway. Word count: 247 To: Open Notes: Ayup

Chess liked to think that she was better company than a lot of people at the school. Some were much too egotistical or just assholes and who wanted to deal with that? Sure she could be irritable before she had her morning coffee, but otherwise she was nice and definitely social for the most part. Of course she also had her weirdness, but if you couldn’t look past that you probably weren’t worth spending time on to begin with anyway. Thus she was fine with the people she was at a booth with being that it could, after all, have been someone she hated. Luckily there were artists in the RSOR who liked painting as much as she did. Then again, she liked all art, but ended up at the painting booth this time. Maybe if they had one next year she would do drawing instead. Though, she didn’t want to be the only person at her booth, which may have had something to do with her decision as well.
Thus the girl was painting intricate little things on Freya’s face going across the girl’s cheek and up over her forehead along with down her jaw onto her neck. She painted a few flowers that would not all grow together on the same vine in a swirl pattern down the side while trying not to move too much. After all, she was being painted on as well and having a conversation with her booth-mate so this was definitely important. Hearing the statement she had to admit it did have some truth to it. ”That’s a good point, though it could be due to the whole RSOR thing and how it’s not exactly always great to have non RSOR roommates and such. Though that might have a factor as well, and it could be the main one. We wouldn’t know unless we asked him though.” she stated after a moment of thinking.
Hearing what the other girl was painting she smiled. ”Nifty, you’re getting flowers now.” she noted while painting some petals on the other girl’s neck.

It helped that Freya and Chess had plenty in common. While their artistic styles were different, to be sure, they both had an interest in art, which meant that they could relate on that front. They were both reincarnates as well. They were already friends with each other, though Freya had the feeling that the two of them would leave this booth with a closer friendship than they'd had before. Freya was finding it a little hard to get the details exactly the way she wanted them with this medium, but she was doing her best. "I have a mirror in my purse so that we can check out our faces when we're done with this." She informed Chess. She knew that she, at least, wanted to look at her face when Chess completed it, and figured Chess might want to do so as well. While Chess had a point, she still didn't think that it explained everything. "If that was the case than reincarnates would be moved and placed with other reincarnates all of the time. I know other people have put in requests and haven't been successful, but Angelo was. So I'm thinking he or his family tossed a bit of change Hanston's way." Not that she had anything against this. Her tone was neutral, giving the impression that she was just stating a fact, and not trying to judge Angelo in any way. And seeing as she wasn't...well, that worked out quite nicely. Freya was a little surprised when she felt Chess's paintbrush on her neck, but other than a small jerking movement at the surprise she didn't make any efforts to stop the other girl. Freya was still working on the eye for Chess, though she wasn't just painting a simple eye. No, she was starting to add makeup to said eye. Reach down toward the paints with her paintbrush, she decided to let Chess give a bit of input. "What color eyeshadow?" Freya questioned, tapping her paintbrush against the desk in front of them as she did so. Word count: 359 To: Open Notes: Ayup

Reincarnated artists always had things in common certainly. Sure normal artists had things in common with reincarnated ones, but it wasn’t the same. There were things you just couldn’t talk about with them that you could with reincarnates. This was probably why it was made to begin with. Though, she had to wonder how the first group of reincarnates got it started and how they explained it to whoever was in charge, or even how they discovered they were not alone. It was certainly something she was curious about, and so maybe she would ask a member of the leader’s panel next time she was up in the RSOR room. Though she did suppose it was possible they wouldn’t know either, and if that was the case maybe she would ask Hanston. Though, of course she would wait until she wasn’t busy rather than bothering the principal of the school for a simple question.
Anyway though, Freya stated that she had a mirror and the girl with blue hair smiled. ”Excellent, then we won’t have to describe what everything looks like and instead can just see for ourselves.” she stated with a grin. Then Freya stated how Angelo was placed just because he wanted to be, and if it was a comfort case then everyone would always be with reincarnates. The girl had to admit that was probably true. How else did you explain that after all being that there was really no real reason for the switch? ”Weird, but I guess it’s entirely possible. I don’t see why he needed to switch to begin with. It isn’t as if he had someone particularly obnoxious as a roommate did he?” she asked trying to think of who were Angelo’s roommates to begin with anyway. She actually had no idea, but she did know for a fact that it wasn’t Errol, and being that he was basically the only male in the Anti-RSOR, she didn’t see anyone else being a problem. Well, alright maybe Raven if he decided to be obnoxious, but she was pretty sure they weren’t roommates either or they probably would have at least acknowledged one another at some point.
Chess was glad she didn’t mess up when Freya jerked a little bit, and she waited for another moment before continuing to paint. Then she was asked about what color eye shadow. ”Rainbow?” she asked with a grin before thinking of a possibly other color. ”Blue, match my hair.” she stated with a slight giggle before finishing another flower. She was probably about done being that she only had so much room, but she would ponder for a moment on that.

Just describing to each other what they were doing didn't seem like enough to Freya. She wanted to see Chess's work when she was finished with it, and she wanted Chess to see her work. She also figured that taking pictures of each other might work, but using a mirror was quicker and easier. Besides, they could still take pictures if they decided they liked each other's paint jobs. "I'm pretty sure he was with Harold and Hayden. Two normals, and Hayden can be a bit obnoxious at times. So I can see why he wanted to move. It's not like you can sculpt much in your dorm if you're in there with two normals." It wasn't something that Freya had to worry too much about - Normals seeing a few paintings and drawings here or there wasn't exactly on par with Michelangelo's sculptures being crafted in one of the dorms at Riverdale High. Even then, Freya did try to be careful not to leave too many of her sketches hanging around, in case someone started to put two and two together. Hey, if it could happen with one person, it could then happen with others. Freya couldn't help but grin when Chess replied with rainbow. She switched it to blue, but instead of just agreeing Freya shrugged. "I think I'll try rainbow, actually." It would be interesting to see what she could do with it. She dabbed her brush into the red paint and drew the paintbrush back to Chess's face, getting to work... Word count: 265 To: Open Notes: This one's shorter. XD

A description probably wouldn’t work unless they were able to perfectly picture one another’s style, and that didn’t seem possible with the fact that they didn’t see it often enough to recognize it instantly. After all, Chess had hardly any work in a museum and so her style could only be really seen in this life because of how long ago she did art. Anyway though, back to the conversation at hand this was how Angelo had managed to switch rooms. It was a mystery of course, and they were just speculating the possibilities. Besides, it wasn’t as if it was really that big of a deal, just something to talk about while they painted.
Hearing Freya explain the roommates he had she shrugged lightly. ”Well, you can sculpt you just have to make sure it doesn’t look like Michelangelo’s work, which would probably be a little harder for him.” she noted with a slight giggle. ”I’m also not sure they would appreciate naked male sculptures in their room to begin with.” she said with another giggle. It would be amusing to see the looks on their faces when they returned to that in their room. She wondered how Oliver dealt with that actually being that he could be so awkward at times. Ah well, it wasn’t her concern really unless she felt like asking him about it. That just wasn’t something she was planning on doing though because how would you start that conversation? Yeah, that wouldn’t be happening and thus she would just keep her thoughts to herself on the matter. Chess had to worry about parents finding her work most of the time, but then again she also didn’t. Her work wasn’t well known enough to raise suspicion and so she felt fine doing it whenever. Heck, even Errol had seen it and just thought she was simply a good artist like he was good with music. It was easy enough to pretend you were inspired by certain artists as well after all. Just would have to do a few things different every so often to not raise too much suspicion. Sure it had happened with one person, but as long as you were careful enough, and good enough with bullshitting, then you could pass anything off. If you sounded like you believed it and made them believe it then you were fine. Not everyone was good at that though and would stumble over lies, maybe they should start teaching that in the RSOR room or something.
Her response of rainbow got a smile and she smiled back. She switched to blue to be easier on the other girl, but it seemed that she wanted to try rainbow. ”Fancy, I’m interested to see how it will come out.” she said with a grin as she painted a few leaves to go with the flowers.

It would be easier to recognize Freya's style, as it was not only more recent but more well known, but she still took care not to make things too recognizable, especially during an open house of all things. It was one thing to use her actual style in art class, but here? Nah, that was a bit too risky for even Freya. Freya couldn't help but snort at the thought of Angelo doing sculptures in his old room. It seemed like most of his works were still in the RSOR room, which was by and far the best place to work on them anyway. The attic offered a lot more room than a dorm room shared by three people. Though in Freya and Chess's case, it was only two people, until they found themselves another roommate. "What do you think our next roommate will be like?" Freya asked the junior as she started on the yellow part of her 'rainbow eyeshadow'. "I think we should place a bet on whether she's a reincarnate or a normal. I'm going to bet on a normal." It just seemed more likely overall, given the number of normals in the school. 40% reincarnates versus 60% normals? Yes, she'd go for the higher odds, even though most reincarnates, herself included, actually hoped for another reincarnate. Or she and Chess could stay alone. That would work too. Freya finished up the rest of the rainbow, then sat back and smiled. "Well, I think that's that. Would you like to see it?" She sat still, allowing Chess to continue to paint if she wished to, but if Chess was finished as well they might as well take a look. Chess heard the snort that Freya let out when she mentioned about Angelo doing sculptures in his old room. That would be rather weird for the other two in the room probably she had to say. It was probably good that most of his works were in the RSOR room. Otherwise people might horribly question the fact that some impressive sculptures were being made in the dorms. This was especially risky if someone happened onto them at some point. Being that some of the more nosy students in the anti-rsor would love to get their hands on such a thing.
Hearing the question she shrugged slightly. ”Probably weird like the rest of the people at this school.” she said making a pretty large generalization. Seemed, that it was pretty accurate too due to the fact that the school was filled with some definitely weird people. The bet idea sounded interesting and she tilted her head a bit with a smile. I’ll bet reincarnate then.” she said with a smile. Of course she made sure that nobody was around to hear them speaking about such. Sure maybe there were less reincarnates in the school, but she was going to be hopeful that the two artists would get someone they could talk freely around.
Hearing the question Chess gave a smile. ”Absolutely, you are done as well actually.” she said simply. She twirled a blue strand of hair around a finger and grinned happily at the work of art that was currently her roommate’s face.

When she heard Chess' input about what their next roommate might be like, Freya laughed. "Probably." Again, she hoped it would be a reincarnate, but the odds were more in favor of it being a normal - Hence why she bet the way that she did. "How much are we betting?" Freya was perfectly willing to put actual money on the table for this one. She decided it would be best to let Chess lay out the amount, though. It was only fair, as Freya was the one who came up with the idea to bet on the outcome in the first place. Might as well let Chess in on some of the decisions as well. Of course, Freya took care to make sure that no one too risky was listening in on their conversation. Fortunately, most everyone in the area was involved in their own booths. The Anti-RSOR booth was clear across the room, and they were the biggest concern to RSOR security. Though Freya could swear that booth had been located somewhere differently a half an hour before... At Chess' word, Freya dove into her purse and retrieved a compact mirror that she flipped open with one hand. She looked at Chess' handiwork with an approving nod, then handed the mirror over to Chess. "Looking good! Let me know what you think of yours." As she waited for Chess to look in the mirror, she glanced around, seeing that a few people around were already showing increased interest in the booth now that Chess and Freya had their artwork sampled on each other's faces.
