Personal Style: Anya’s style is that she has no style. She is obsessed with clothes so completely that she could be dressed Lolita like one day, Formal the next, extremely sloppy the next and then wearing sportswear the day after that. Her hair could be up or down, curled or straight, short of with extensions. She generally wears a few types of make-up for all of her outfits though, and those include mascara and eye liner. Eye shadow is not uncommon either but even aspects of her makeup change from outfit to outfit. She also accessorizes to match her outfits with hats, jewellery, bags/purses, umbrellas or even ‘props’. She essentially never grew out of playing dress-up. It is also worth noting that she always has a pair of decorative headphones with her that are also functional to plug into her iPhone. The other thing she always has is at least a fancy point and shoot.
Appearance: Anya has always been quite slight and small. She has very gentle curves that often go unnoticed but do exist. She has small feet, hands, breasts, and just about everything because it is all in proper proportion to the rest of her. Her nails are kept in good shape, and her skin is surprisingly blemished free for her age. Anya got lucky that way. Her skin tone is a creamy light tan that gets significantly darker when she has been out in the sun at length. The girl doesn’t realize just how pretty she is.
Her hair is darker brown and as previously mentioned can be styled in many different ways. At its natural length it reaches down past her shoulders and is usually curly if left alone, though her fringe at the front is surprisingly straight for her curly hair. She always styles it around her fairly round face. Her nose is also quite round and almost button like on her face. Her ears are smaller than proportionately expected and rest higher up than what most artists consider ideal location for ears (think proportional guidelines). Her eyes are rounded and almond shaped and tend to be quite bright and expressive. Her eyebrows are well kept and quite narrow but well-proportioned when all things are considered. She has thin narrow lips, with a bottom lip that makes for an excellent pout. I guess it makes sense to mention that Anya is Asian.

Personality:
NAÏVE: Anya tends to be a little Naïve. She often believe things that people say, not understanding or having experience enough to know they are lying. She falls for things easily and is quite simple in her thinking right now. She is innocent and oblivious in things such as romance, real world experiences and survival. So being in Riverdale has definitely upset her ideas of what the world is like and she is still trying to work this out.
STUDIOUS: She is extremely set on amazing marks and getting her homework done. Sadly she struggles in many areas of academics so she just by sheer will power pushes and pushes herself to do more and more of that work until she understands it. She tends to be a bit slow with Geography, English and Math in particular but she is doing her best to plow through it and succeed anyways. So far she managed to maintain upper 80s in all her weaknesses, which considering it’s all because she just throws more and more time at her assignments is quite impressive.
CREATIVE: Anya has a knack for creativity. She shows it in the way she dresses and in her ideas for how to do things more efficiently. She may not be super organized but she does have the ability to think outside the box when it comes to certain topics and she is creative in her overall person. She is just generally more art inclined in the sense of design and arrangement.
SHY: Anya has a hard time talking to people. She fears looking stupid or silly in the eyes of other people but at the same time walks into that sort of thing all the time. She often freezes up, doesn’t know what to say or do and tries to escape if she gets too uncomfortable. The bigger the crowds the harder it is for her to speak up. Anya never speaks up in class, can’t speak at all in front of a group of people staring right at her and will freeze up if put on the spot. This frustrates her and she is trying but she can’t seem to break this.
FRIENDLY: She is extremely friendly if you can get her talking. Anya has a lot to say and a lot of ideas she wants people to know about. She wants friends and people who she can talk to; it’s just becoming comfortable with those people that she struggles with. When it comes to the welfare of others she is there in a heartbeat. Her shyness falls away when she sees someone upset who needs someone and she is able to then put herself forward and do what she can to help.
LOYAL: Anya is the most loyal person you will ever meet. If she gets close enough to someone she is endlessly loyal and this often gets her in trouble. She can be easily manipulated by those she is close to because this can be paired up with her naivety and shyness. Suddenly she believes what a friend says and her shyness keeps her from speaking up if there is even the slightest chance that she doesn’t. It’s a vicious circle. But Anya is loyal and expects it back to her and she knows when someone has betrayed her and there is no worse feeling for her.
OBSESSIVE: She tends to be a bit over the top with the things she likes. She gets to a point where she constantly has something on her mind if it is new to her and she likes it enough. She has a hard time letting things go and as a result will obsess and obsess over them from small mistakes, a bad grade to her interests or some big that has happened. She just has a hard time letting go. This is also what contributes to her bad handling of change.

History: Anya wasn’t born with the name Anya Li Michca. In fact, she wasn’t even born on this side of the world. Anya was born in China to a couple who were trying to have a son to carry on their family line. The limits on allowed children at the time made Anya an unwanted child, seeing as she wasn’t a son. Her parents dropped her on the door step of one of the many, many orphanages and left her there. At least that way they could try again and claim the baby was a still born. That was a common tale or story then, along with drowning and killing baby girls to make room for baby boys.
Anya didn’t grow up in an orphanage however. A lovely rich couple from Canada had discovered they couldn’t have children. Karina wasn’t able to have children, and Nathaniel already knew he couldn’t because of an injury when he was a teenager. The two were a perfect match and hadn’t expected to want children. That idea that they Karina and Nathaniel Michca didn’t need children died with Nate’s father’s death. The man was very wealthy and owned a large chain of casinos, which all fell to Nate, who had been raised and schooled for the family business. They were suddenly very wealthy and very well off from where they had been, and Karina started wishing for a child.
The two of them knew they had to adopt, and decided to adopt far from home. Thus the baby formerly known as Yin Li was renamed to Anya Li Michca and taken to Canada with her new parents who had made the trip to pick her up. The family was a perfect fit and Anya was a perfectly cheerful and loving baby. Karina and Nate couldn’t be happier. She proved to be a quick learner and was often getting into things. Her parents were relieved when it came time for her to go to school, she was too much of a busy body for them to have time to constantly play with her.
Anya didn’t fit in at first, as she was discovered to be painfully shy and avoided the other kids. But kids will be kids and she ended up with two close friends right from the start. Those two would be her best friends through elementary school. Anya always managed decent marks, but when she struggled her parents felt she wasn’t getting the attention she needed. They often were over at the school demanding more homework in her weak topics so she could improve. But she never seemed to overly improve so much as spend enough time on the topics to pull off higher than average grades.
By the time Anya graduated, she was very intent on school and a flare for different fashions had erupted in her gradually from second grade till now. She had even become almost obsessed with photographing her many outfits and hosting photos of herself online in her various clothing sets. The teasing had been heavy her last year and graduation couldn’t have come quick enough for Anya.
The following summer was the most horrifying and lonely summer of Anya’s life. Her friends never spoke to her again after graduation, both of them moving on to other things and leaving her out of the loop. They knew she wasn’t going to the same high school, as her mother had insisted that Anya was ready for Riverdale. Karina had gone there herself and her parents before her. She said it was an extremely important step in establishing independence. Nate had asked Anya several times if that was what she wanted, but she didn’t know what she wanted. It wasn’t till just weeks before school had started when she told them she didn’t want to go to Riverdale.
She started at the same high school as her two friends who quickly took to other people and left her behind. Anya didn’t fit in at all at the new school and was often bullied or shoved aside for her strange clothes. Karina began to get very concerned when her little girl came home miserable each day. At the end of September she approached Nate about it and he went to talk to their daughter. He once again asked her if she wanted to go to Riverdale. This time she saw it as a way to get out of this horrible school and said she definitely wanted to and right now if they’d let her.
Nate immediately did what he could to pull some strings and she was transferred to Riverdale within two weeks, leaving her mid-October, entering a school that was new and already established. Anya tried to get comfortable but she was incredibly ill the first two weeks, the change upsetting her subconsciously more than she was aware. The girl was quiet, stayed in the background and at least hadn’t been bullied to that point. It was a start, and as she struggled to get caught up to her peers it gave her a chance to work and pull off over a month’s work in two weeks. Now she is just barely having caught up and is still remaining fairly unnoticed at Riverdale so far.
