It felt strange to be back in Riverdale. She was sure that it was for the best. A large family was expected in her first life (she'd had fifteen children herself, though not all of them survived infancy). However, in the 21st century, it was clear that her parents in this life were struggling with caring for not only Sylent, Breezy, and Journey when they returned to Texas, but Tony and Remy as well. She wanted to lessen the burden on her family, and thus returned to Riverdale, still feeling a bit torn about the whole thing. She did miss her family in Texas, but she'd also missed her grandmother, who she'd spent the past few years living with, as well as her brother, Justice. She'd also grown quite fond of the school during her short time there. It was actually her first experience with public school, having been homeschooled in both her past life and this one up until this point. She kind of like it, to be honest. It was a wide array of people, and best of all, it was an audience for when she wanted one. Breezy didn't outwardly seek attention, but when the situation called for it, she demanded it just through the way she acted. When a subject came up that she was passionate about, she would speak her heart out about it. She loved to do it, and she loved to defend her views as fervently as she possibly could. If and when she discovered that Riverdale High had a debate club, she would consider it, as it would be a good fit for her. Then again, so would a religion club. Religious debate was one of her favorite subjects. Her best fit, however, was a club that she'd barely even paid attention to as of yet. Yet she would be able to debate to her heart's content, even bringing her past life into the equation. Time would only tell where that was concerned. She hadn't said or done anything odd yet, but with Anne Hutchinson, it was only a matter of time before something came up that she wanted to discuss. The blonde finished paying for her lunch, proceeding to scan the cafeteria with her eyes. She had no qualms about going up to someone and asking if she could sit, but she wanted to find someone who really caught her attention. Finally, she spotted a lone girl sitting at a table sporting an odd hairdo and odd clothes to boot. Breezy smiled. Perfect. Balancing her submarine sandwich, milk, and orange on her tray, she made her way over to the table and set her tray down. "Mind if I take a seat here?" Even if setting her tray down, according to high school cafeteria politics, pretty much meant that she'd already claimed that spot at the table in the name of Breezy...she still had a few things to learn about public school. Orestia was feeling particularly cheerful today. Not only was it Christmas in just a few days but her kitten Ron had used his litter box for the first time this morning. It probably would have happened sooner, had Orestia not gotten confused and tried to feed the poor animal the cat litter. It was only after her mother pointed out, and in her polite way, that cat litter was for Ron to crap on did it get moved to his litter box. She had however, found all of this highly amusing and was so proud of him that she planning on calling into the nearest pet shop on the way home and buying him an early Christmas present to play with to say well done.
First though, she had to finish her afternoon at school. Lucky for her it was lunchtime which meant she was already halfway through her day. The nasty comments said by Tamara a couple of months ago in this very same setting was completely erased from her memories but what Justice had said to get her to back of still stuck with Orestia. She wasn't about to admit that though. It was true though that the two had become closer...when one sticks up for someone else it is hard not to bond even more. It was also perhaps another factor in why Orestia was particularly more cheerful than usual...and that was pretty damn hard to beat. She was ALWAYS cheerful.
She was wearing quite a tame pallete of colours today. Her pink cardigan was quite bright but it was dimmed next to her blue skinny jeans, green converse and grey tank top. Her hair bow was the only item of clothing or accessory that really stood out colour wise. Her hair on the other hand...she had really outdone herself this time. It had taken a whole weekend but it was time worth spent in Orestia's humble opinion and she had for sure gotten a lot of compliments over her efforts the past few days. Her fringe was blonde with red and black leopard print spots. The back of her hair was its usual black (she tended only to dye the front for maximum effect). The hair that framed her face was an example of how talented she had become at styling her hair. She had different bits painted as coontails in different colours, flashes of colours, some curled and some straight. All in all she looked pretty spectacular today.
She had not long starter her lunch, again and sadly sitting alone, when a girl younger than her approached her table and asked to join. A lot of people, especially older than Breezy would have most likely laughed her away but not Orestia. She was thrilled to have some company and it showed in the massive smile that appeared on her pretty face. "Of course you can." She smiled as the younger girl set her tray down and wasted no time in introducing herself. "I'm Orestia Barwell. I don't think I've seen you around. Whats your name?" All of this was said in an enthusiastic manner, as if she thought learning Breezy's name was the most important thing in the world. She gave her one of her smiles that she was famous at Riverdale for, before taking another chicken nugget from her plate and biting into it. Tag: Breezy/Mandee Outfit: This ^^Listening to: ... Even with Breezy's lack of experience with public school, she was still surprised at just how friendly Orestia was to her. It was strange that she was sitting alone, given how outgoing she appeared to be. Then again, Breezy assumed it had something to do with her fashions. People tended to ostracize those who conflicted with their idea of 'normal'. Breezy knew that feeling all too well. She might not have dressed differently, keeping up the typical dress of a woman of her time, but her opinions were another thing. Such opinions were taken with a lot more tolerance nowadays, but in colonial New England? Speaking against well respected members of the church, no matter how much she disagreed, ended with her literally ostracized from the colony she'd originally called her new home. She wasn't the only one. There were others, of course. It was still odd to her, though, that many of her companions who set out to populate Boston left England to escape religious persecution...and yet committed just that. "I was only here for a couple of months at the beginning of the school year." She started to explain, then continued on. "I left to move back with my parents, then came back here recently. I think it's better this way." Breezy shrugged. She really did. As much as she'd miss her siblings, nephews, and parents, the entire reason the children moved in with their grandmother in North Carolina was to lessen the financial load on their parents. She understood that her sister needed her parents with two newborns around, and she could understand why Journey, as young as he was, needed to be there as well. Breezy, on the other hand, could survive on her own. She could easily keep touch with them. Best of all, it was one less mouth to have to worry about feeding back in Texas. Plus she felt kind of bad for Justice, being left all alone at Riverdale High. Realizing that she had yet to introduce herself, Breezy proceeded to do just that. "Breezy, or Bree, Logan." Had she known just how well Orestia knew her brother, she probably would have added a 'yes, Justice's younger sister'. She didn't, however, and left it there. She took the first bite of her sandwich, which was a vegetarian submarine. She eyed the chicken nuggets with obvious interest. She was anything but sheltered, but she came from a family of vegans. Therefore chicken nuggets weren't typically on the menu. "How are those, anyway?" She could respect her parents' views, but that didn't necessarily mean that they had to be hers. Orestia had never been the type of person to judge somebody before she knew they're personality well enough. She had enough experience of that herself just because she looked different and liked different things. It didn't make her a bad person at all though. So she kept this attitude for when she met new people. And even if they turned out to be an awful person she would still try and find the good in them. Take Raven Kass for example...he was an outcast who weirded out most of the student body apart from his off few friends. Most people avoided him like the plague but Orestia was always willing to chat, even to say hello, and even when he obviously wanted to be left on his own. Tamara Ramachander was a completely different story though....she had tried to be nice even when Tamara was blatantly bullying her. Orestia left her alone now. Sitting on her own was a regular occurence but it allowed Orestia to people watch and enjoy her own thoughts and musings and so she didn't tend to feel lonely and sad about her seating situation. When someone came over though such as Breezy, it was nice to be able to talk to somebody. Orestia had her friends yes, but she also wasn't the most popular girl in school. Sure everybody knew who she was from her crazy hair and personality but some people still tended to avoid her out, using her weirdness as an excuse. Oh well.
She was pleased to find that Breezy seemed to be willing to chat as well. She listened patiently as she explained why she was back at school. It wasn't unheard of for students to leave. Certain things such as homesickness and family troubles tended to do that. It was however more unheard of for somebody who had left to come back again. "Where do your parents live...if you don't mind me asking." She didn't want to seem pushy but that was Orestia through and through...she loved getting to know people straight from the go. For some students such as Orestia herself, they're parents lived in Riverdale and so there was no need for them to board. She guessed that Breezy's parents lived not too far away as moving out of a dorm and then back into it within two months was hard work.
There was something familiar about Breezy that Orestia couldn't quite put her finger on at the moment. She definitely wondered if they had already spoken before she had left for a bit. But then again she was also pretty sure that she would have remembered. She tended to remember useless information like that...rather than information that she actually needed to pass exams and write a good essay. But there was something in Breezy's face that resembled someone else. She wondered if she was related to anyone at the school, but she couldn't quite put her finger on who it could be. Until Breezy mentioned the last name Logan. "Logan? Are you Justice's sister by any chance?"
Well this was strange...chatting to the supposed sister of the guy she was secretly (or so she thought) madly in love with. She couldn't help but blush a little as she mentioned Justice's name and put two and two together with the uncanny resemblance. A question made her snap out of her musings as she looked to Breezy eyeing her chicken nuggets. "They're good! Here...have one." Orestia pushed her plate to Breezy allowing her to take as many or as little as she wanted. Tag: Breezy/Mandee Outfit: This ^^Listening to: ... Thoughts: Hip hop, the beat don't stop. yo. Having only attended the school for a short time prior to moving back to Texas, there was a lot that Breezy didn't know about Riverdale High. She knew that her brother was reasonably popular, and that her sister had been as well before the move. She also knew that the father of her nephews still attended Riverdale High. Strangely, she'd never met the boy. She had a feeling that it would be awkward when she did, though. Breezy didn't mind answering Orestia's questions at all. "Texas." The younger girl responded, in a Southern drawl that matched perfectly with the word spoken. It was noticeable, however, that Breezy's Texas accent wasn't as pronounced as one would expect from a girl who hailed from Texas. Sure, she'd spent much of her life raised in North Carolina, but there was still something a bit...off about her accent. Of course, it had everything to do with her status as a reincarnate. Her speech had inflections from many sources. In her past life, she was born and raised in England, and lived the last ten years of her life in colonial New England. In this life, she was born in Texas, spent the first several years of her life there, and then moved to North Carolina. The freshman was puzzled at the way that Orestia was studying her, but it all became clear when Orestia blurted out her question about Justice. Breezy couldn't help but laugh. "Tell the truth...was it the last name or the ridiculous first name that gave it away first?" It was a valid question, in her opinion. It wasn't that Breezy didn't like her name - She'd grown used to it, and she did like it a lot better than her past, plain Jane name of Anne, but it was still an oddball name, and it was obvious her parents weren't exactly the most normal when it came to names. Frank Zappa they were not, but they were still hippies. At least she'd gotten away with not being called Moon Unit? It didn't surprise Breezy at all that Orestia knew Justice, as she could already see the two of them getting on pretty well. She knew that Justice had a dark side, but for the most part he was pretty bright and cheery, and Orestia certainly fit that bill as well. She had to admit that she liked the more laid back culture of the 21st century. Nevertheless, she was surprised when Orestia handed her a chicken nugget to try. She eyed it warily, not because she didn't want to try it, but because she didn't know how the meat would react to her. "I'm not sure if I should...I haven't had meat in so long. I'm not sure if I can stomach it." Given her parents stance at the time of her birth, the truth was that she'd never had meat in this life. Still, she couldn't very well say that she'd never eaten meat ever when she'd had it in her past life...needless to say, though, there weren't chicken nuggets back then. "My parents are vegan." Breezy continued, figuring she ought to explain the situation a bit more. Word count: 556 To: Orestia/Ali Notes:

There was definitely an accent that Orestia noticed. She couldn't get her head around what it was at first until Breezy answered her question. Even then though Orestia was still a little confused. Geography wasn't a particular area of expertise in her (then again, what was an area of expertise in Orestia, besides experimentation with hair colour and home piercings?) and she was a bit miffed as to where Texas actually was. Being Orestia meant that she was interested in everything about Breezy and so she decided to enquire her confusion. "Texas is in the north right? Or is it a city in Canada? I can never remember which one it is." She blinked, the southern drawl in Breezy's accent not even giving away the whereabouts of where Texas actually was. Besides, she should already know this, considering Justice was from Texas, a similarity between the guy she was crazy for and the girl sitting in front of her. General knowledge was certainly not Orestia's strong point.
She found Breezy's comment about her name very amusing and could relate to having a different name. Although Orestia's was by choice and Breezy's wasn't...she still knew the feeling of standing out from the crowd name wise. She let out a natural sounding laugh, giggling loudly enough for the people on the next table to stare over with looks of bemusement. "It was definitely the last name if that makes you feel any better. Besides, nothing wrong with having a bit of a different name. I'm actually..." She leant in a bit closer, and hushed her voice. Although Orestia's real name was used in her school records and for any documents, there were still a large number of people that only knew her by her chosen name rather than the name her parents had picked out at her birth. She'd much rather be called by the name she wanted, and so she hushed her voice so that any other people nearby wouldn't hear. "...Jennifer. But I've been known as Orestia for years now. I'm allowed to change it to that by deed poll when I turn 18." She looked delighted at this very thought, quickly remembering that the food in front of her was slowly getting colder and began once again to tuck in.
She was quiet for a few moments, eating her way through two nuggets before she looked up at Breezy again. "If it makes you feel any better, I like your name. I like Justice's name too." She smiled at her, finding it remarkably easy to talk to Breezy. Well, she found it easy to talk to almost everybody, but it seemed more natural with Breezy. Perhaps it was because she was new and therefore they didn't know anything about each other to judge each on, or perhaps it was because of who Breezy's brother was. Speaking of her brother..."So are you and Justice close?" There was something in her voice that gave away that there was more than friendship in Orestia's feelings on Justice. There was respect there but then there was also a slight lovey dovey tone to the way she said his name. She couldn't remember if Justice had ever mentioned Breezy - if he had she probably would have thought that he was talking about the weather.
Now that she knew who Breezy's brother was it didn't throw her off that she was a bit weary to try some chicken. She was used to Justice's vegan meals on their lunch breaks so it made perfect sense, even to Orestia, that Breezy would also have vegan eating habits. "Well it is there if you do but you don't have to!" Orestia flashed her famous smile at her before nodding to her small explanation to show that she was already on the same page. It suddenly cropped up in her mind how she didn't recognise that Breezy and Justice were closely related...Breezy had the same eyes as Justice. Oh those blue eyes she sometimes lost herself in... Of all the questions to follow, Breezy certainly wasn't expecting that question. As far as she knew, most people knew at least the general area of Texas, or would recognize that Breezy spoke with a southern accent. That said, her accent was dampened as a result of her residences in her past life, but she knew the accent was still there. She'd heard others refer to it before. So it was a surprise that not only did Orestia fail to catch that, but she also inquired as to whether Texas was up north or even in Canada. Breezy tried her hardest not to let her face show how dumbfounded she actually felt, but she knew that at least part of it slipped out. "Neither, actually." Breezy countered with a smile after she'd gained her composure a bit. "It's in the south, down by Mexico." Breezy was surprised to hear the next revelation. "Jennifer?" While Breezy would have enjoyed a name that was a bit more common, Jennifer was too common for her tastes as well. She would also answer to Anne, of course, and had no qualms about it at the time she went by that name. Now that it was the 21st century, however, she was happy to not have to abide by the unspoken rule that children seemingly had to be named biblical names, or at least strictly traditional ones. "How long before you turn 18? You're in Justice's grade, right?" Which meant that the other girl had to be around 16 or 17. Having been homeschooled most of her life, Breezy had to put a bit of thought into that, but she was fairly confident that her guesses were about right. Breezy wasn't unaware of the changes in Orestia's voice as she talked about Justice. She also noted that Justice was coming up an awful lot. It made sense to some extent, considering Justice was a talking point that both she and Orestia had in common. Really, though, the way she said Justice's name reminded her of the way Sylent had said Hayden's name before the untimely end of their relationship. "Somewhat. He and Sylent were always closer, but we're pretty close too." While the siblings had paired off in some respects (Justice and Sylent, as well as Breezy and Journey), all four of them were generally close to each other. "Why?" Breezy asked, inquiring as to why the question was asked in the first place. Meanwhile, as she waited for a response from the junior girl, Breezy broke off a small piece of the chicken nugget. She bit her lip and eyed it before finally placing it into her mouth. Orestia missed the face that Breezy pulled when she asked where Texas' location was. She was too busy looking at her cell to see it, but even if she did it wouldn't faze her. She was totally used to it by now and even when she was talking to someone such as Iskander who walked off from her after finding her lack of general knowledge irritating that still didn't bother her much. As long as someone else gave her an answer. Anyway, before Breezy could answer about Texas, Orestia suddenly shoved her phone towards Breezy with a grin on her face. "This is my kitten Ron! I named him after Ron Weasley because they both have ginger hair. I like to use him for my pillow but I don't think he likes it. I almost ate the tip of his tail this morning when I woke up. It was in my mouth and everything." She blinked at Breezy not even finding what she was saying a tad strange. She withdrew her phone, quickly checking her texts and then looked back up at Breezy.
She was pretty sure that Texas was up north but according to the girl sitting opposite her it wasn't. "Oh it isn't is it? I must have been thinking of Arizona." She smiled at her and then took a sip of her carton of orange juice. Mmmmm she sure did love her orange! As she was taking this sip she nodded at Breezy's 'Jennifer?' and then placed her drink back down as the freshman asked her about when she was turning 18. It took a few moments to work it out before she could reply. "I'm sixteen so I have to wait another year and a half. But it'll come around quick enough I guess. And yes, I'm a junior too like he is." She smiled at this, obviously still so happy that someone had chosen to sit by her and was talking to her. It made even more sense to Orestia on why she hadn't really heard about Breezy when she asked if her and Justice were close. It was definitely true that him and Sylent had been close - the three of them had hung around a lot together. Even now Orestia missed her good friend Sylent but then again if she was happy doing whatever it was that she was doing, then Orestia was happy for her as well. Although she hated that it hurt Justice so much. She was glad to heard that Breezy got on well with Justice. She couldn't imagine not being close to Tom. And then Breezy asked her why and even to Orestia, it seemed as if her tone changed from a normal question to actually being curious as to why Orestia was asking these questions. She hadn't really talked to anyone about her feelings for Justice as of yet, besides Emri. Talking to Emri though was sometimes difficult and she found that they had come onto an entirely new subject before she could really talk. She loved Emri to pieces though and wouldn't change her for the world. Much like how she felt with Justice. He was perfect in Orestia's eyes...she just wished that she would summon the courage to tell him. She didn't think she ever would though. It was certainly odd with how much Orestia had been talking before, that she was suddenly quiet. She didn't even notice Breezy take the chicken nugget and try it. It then dawned on Orestia on how quiet she had gotten and decided to speak up, although it was probably too late and Breezy must have worked out why she had been asking all of those questions. "Oh just curious!" And just like that her famous smile beamed across her face again.[/blockquote] Tag: Breezy/Mandee Outfit: This ^^Listening to: ... Suddenly Orestia's phone was in Breezy's face, and she moved her head back a little in her surprise. Still, she looked at the picture that Orestia was showing her, and grinned. Growing up on a farm, Breezy enjoyed animals very much. "He's adorable! How old is he?" The freshman opted to ask, in order to make conversation. Orestia went on to explain further about her kitten nonetheless, including the fact that she almost ate her cat's tail. Breezy couldn't help but laugh at how bluntly Orestia admitted it. "That tends to happen with animals." Breezy had to bite her tongue on the Arizona bit. It would be easy to just correct Orestia again, but Breezy wasn't so sure that she wanted to...or that it would stick. More so the latter, if she had to be honest. Besides, even if she did decide on clarifying matters with Orestia, the other girl went off on a tangent once again. Breezy was actually finding Orestia's random rambles to be quite amusing, and thus did nothing to stop them from taking place. Though in this case, she was merely answering Breezy's previous question. "Definitely. Besides, even if you don't go by that legally right now, everyone still calls you that, so it's not like it matters. Only time it would get annoying is when teachers call out your name as Jennifer." She could imagine that would get as annoying as a few teachers' reactions to her name. One would think that with two older siblings with similarly peculiar names, one of whom still attended Riverdale and the other of whom attended Riverdale up until recently, they wouldn't be surprised to see the name 'Breezy Logan' on their attendance sheet, but there were still teachers who did double takes when they saw her name, and even one in particular who asked if it was a joke. Breezy hadn't piped up much yet in Riverdale, but that was one time she'd set the record straight. Yes, my name is Breezy. My parents were hippies, it's not a joke, you can see my birth certificate if you want proof. Yeah, that shut the teacher up. At first Breezy was more concerned with the chicken nugget that she was eating. She didn't plan on having anything more than one bite, as she knew it would wreak havoc on her digestive track. She just wanted to taste it. So far, from what she could tell, it wasn't that bad, though it was certainly something she hadn't tried in ages. She'd never had breaded chicken before, and the last time she'd eaten poultry was in her past life. Breezy did eventually notice that Orestia had yet to pipe up to her question, and looked toward the other girl in further curiosity. She noticed the goofy smile that Orestia wore as she remained off in her own little world, and it finally hit Breezy, and a grin to match Orestia's came across her face. "You aren't daydreaming about Justice over there, are you?" She teased. She might be wrong, but she figured this was a good way to bring up the subject. If Orestia wasn't actually thinking about it, then it would just come off as teasing hopefully, and that would be that. Word count: 565 To: Orestia/Ali Notes: She caught on.

Orestia didn't bat an eyelid at Breezy's sudden movement away from her phone, but she did move it back slightly so that she didn't nearly knock the younger Logan sibling out. She was an incredibly excitable sixteen your old but she meant no harm. She grinned when Breezy asked about Ron. If there was one thing that Orestia loved to talk about, then it was her kitten. Every person she knew and every person she met was told everything about Ron...even the details of his latest poop. She had a lot of love for the small animal which showed in the way she talked about him - to love was one of Orestia's greatest abilities, even if it was scary to tell the person whom you had strong feelings for. Ahem. "I had him for my last birthday so he's almost seven months. He has so much energy though and I want to teach him to do litle backflips off the couch. Can cats do backflips? He can jump pretty high though...the other week he jumped and his claw caught in my extension and pulled it out." She made a slight face to this, took a small breathe as she was rambling again and then carried on. "When I first got him, I had only just had my septum pierced...look!" She pulled the ring that she hid in her nose out to show Breezy and then left it like that. It seemed that her topic of conversation was changing faster than she could speak. "I do piercings on my own. I so far have my septum and hips pierced and I have my ears stretched." Again she showed Breeze her other piercings before carrying on. "I'm hoping to get snakebites soon. Anyway...I had just pierced my septum a few days before my parents bought Ron home. I was playing around with it in my bedroom as my parents don't know about my piercings...and Ron was in their. he was playing around and then he caught it with his claw and almost ripped it out. It was bleeding really bad!" She shook her head, still smiling though and replaced her phone back into her bag.
After talking so much she drained the last bit of her carton of juice. It was normal for Orestia to talk a lot and at speed when she was getting excitable but she didn;t stop to think that she didn't know Breezy well...thus she didn't know if Breezy could keep up with the pace of her chattering. Truthfully, Orestia was just thrilled to have some company for once and to be able to talk to someone about what made her happy. And Justice was something that made her happy secretly, so it was kind of ironic and funny that his younger sister had been the person out of the entire student body to sit down with her.
Anyway they were now talking about names and orestia listened enthusiastically to what Breezy was telling her. "Yeah totally. Ms. Hoffman always calls me by Orestia but a lot of other teachers stick to Jennifer which sucks. But at least one acknowledges it. Ms. Hoffman is great. She always sits down with me and talks me through stuff slowly until I understand it and she never loses her patience with me. I'm kinda slow with school stuff so it's nice that at least one person is kind enough to lend me a hand. Plus she wears awesome clothes and has a huge spider called Claudius that is kind off scary but his legs are funny. Have you had any of her classes yet?" It was clear that Felicity Hoffman was by far her favourite teacher, and Orestia had a lot of respect for her.
It was around this time that Orestia went quiet. And it was certainly noticable with the amount that she had been speaking for the past ten minutes now that she was getting comfortable with Breezy. She was no longer a stranger - they were now at least on speaking terms and the way Breezy was treating her even if she was slightly wacky made Orestia like her all the more. Breexy was quiet too but this didn't bug Orestia, who was now nibbling on a cookie. And then Breezy spoke and Orestia looked up, her cheeks going red in an automatic blush triggered by what Breezy was saying and how she was saying it. That was it. That blush gave the game away completely and even Orestia knew that no matter how much she denied any feelings for him, Breezy would know different.
Plus it would be kind of nice to have someone to talk to about it. Last time her and Emri had spoken, they had ended up on a conversation about horse shoes for an hour. So Orestia took this chance and decided that she would admit it straight out. "You won't tell him right? He doesn't know and I don't feel ready to tell him yet! It was kind of a panic in how she said this but she trusted Breezy enough already that she knew that the younger girl would keep it on the down low. It really didn't bother Breezy too much, how excitable Orestia was. It was clear that the girl was enjoying herself, so who was Breezy to rain on her parade? At Orestia's question about cats doing backflips Breezy blinked in surprised, though also in contemplation. "I'm not sure...if you can teach him, though, I suppose you'll get your answer?" Cats could do some crazy things, she did know that much. Hell, she knew more about various animals than most of Riverdale, she would venture. She did grow up for the first several years of this life on a farm. Still, this was the first instance she'd seen where anyone attempted to teach a cat how to do a backflip. She wanted to hear how it turned out. "Make sure you record it so I can see it if he does." Yet another cat video to add to the plethora on youtube... She winced a little in sympathy when Orestia mentioned her kitten almost pulling her piercing out. It clearly didn't bother Orestia too much though, as she simply put her phone away and carried on. Carried on for quite a bit too. Breezy smiled when Orestia described Ms. Hoffman. "Haven't had her yet, no...what does she teach?" So far most of the teachers in Riverdale seemed decent to Breezy...though she didn't have anyone to judge against, honestly. In her past life she'd been educated by her father, and in this life she was homeschooled up until high school. That said, some teachers were better than others, and that was unmistakable. Her history teacher had an uncanny creepy feeling about him, for example, while her French teacher was an absolute blast. Breezy learned fast, and she was already learning which teachers held promise and which ones would be better avoided. While the huge spider wasn't exactly winning any points (Breezy wasn't as squeamish about spiders as many girls her age, though large hairy ones could squick almost anyone out), everything else sounded good. Breezy couldn't help but laugh in amusement. Not only did Orestia admit to daydreaming about her brother, but it was practically as if Orestia was holding up a sign in neon letters that carried the message 'I like Justice Logan'. "I won't mention it to him." That was between Orestia and Justice anyway. She did have to say that she thought the two of them would make a good couple, though. So long as Orestia learned to keep her Disney movies straight. Speaking of which... "I hope you're a fan of Disney, since you'll be seeing a lot of Disney if you start going out with him." She chuckled, not just yet realizing the irony of her statement. Orestia seemed happy enough with the answer that Breezy gave her. After all through knowing Justice and Sylent, she knew that Breezy had grown up on a farm and so she out of everybody was likely to know a lot about animals. So she didn't know if cats could backflip? Then that would mean Orestia would have to have a go at teaching him and this elated her to even higher levels. Although she also looked as though she was in thought. "I wonder how I'm going to be able to teach him. It's not as if I can just backflip magically myself. I can hardly roly poly with giving myself concussion. Last time I roly polyed into a brick wall. I wonder if I just kind of flip him in the air so he goes upside down? And then he might learn what I want him to do and figure it out himself!" It was clear that Orestia wasn't thinking this through. After all, throwing her cat in the air so that it did a backflip was kind of dangerous. It was good that Orestia's parents knew what she was like, especially when she got an idea into her head. They would no doubt stop her before her first attempt.
She was a bit disappointed that Breezy hadn't had Felicity yet as she was excited to swap stories about funny things that had happened in their classes. Felicity was always an entertaining teacher to listen to and watch. No class Orestia had ever had was boring and even the people who really didn't want to learn always took something away from it, even if they didn't realise it. Oh and the clothes! Orestia enjoyed playing around with her clothes. For a teacher to do it to mark what they were doing in class was awesome to her. Part of the reason she enjoyed Biology so much was to see what her teacher was wearing each lesson. And it wasn't just the entertainment value that intrigued her. The fact that Felicity wanted everyone to lean meant that she cared for each student, and she certainly cared enough to help out Orestia in any way that she could. Which was after every lesson. It was fair to say that Felicity was definitely Orestia's favourite teacher. "She teaches Biology and Earth Science. I'm so far taking Biology...its really enjoyable. She's whacky but in a good way. When I did Earth Science she brought in a pretend volcano she had made and let it erupt everywhere." Orestia remembered that lesson fondly, not just because she had learnt some interesting things but because she loved the orange of the lava and had already considered to use it as a colour for part of her hair, even to this day.
She smiled straight away at Breezy promising not to say anything. She hardly knew Breezy and yet she felt that she could trust in her. She hoped that Breezy thought the same of Orestia. She was incredibly loyal with secrets - usually because she forgot them after a few days to be honest. When Breezy mentioned Disney she laughed loudly. "Yes, that sounds like Justice." Now that Breezy knew, she could say it in a fond way without confusion. But when Breezy mentioned if she were to ever go out with him, Orestia's smile faltered slightly. This was what had been bugging her for the past few months after all, but she supposed that it was healthy to have someone else to talk to about it. "I don't know about that. I don't think he feels the same and I really don't think he ever would." It was clear that this thought troubled Orestia more than she let on. She was confident within herself yes, but it was hard to think rationally when the guy you were crazy for never reciprocated your feelings back. She of course did not know about his heartache brought through from his past life as she was not privy to that information as she was 'normal' so otherwise she might have thought differently than this. As easygoing as Breezy was about most of this conversation, even she had to blanch a little at the thought of Orestia throwing her cat in the air in an attempt to teach it out to back flip. That wasn't exactly what she'd had in mind...though to be honest, she wasn't sure how she'd teach a cat to do a back flip either. It wasn't exactly one of those tricks that was usually in the repertoire for cats. "Just be careful with him. He's small and you don't want to hurt him." Breezy almost felt as though she were recalling her days as a mother while saying this to Orestia - Which was amusing, as Orestia was physically older than her in this life. It was clear by the way that Orestia spoke of Ms. Hoffman that the woman was without a doubt Orestia's favorite teacher. Breezy herself had to admit that she was intrigued by the information that Orestia provided her with. "Maybe I'll get her next semester? She sounds like she's a lot of fun!" Breezy was pretty sure that biology was on her schedule for the next semester, though she wasn't sure if Ms. Hoffman was the only teacher for biology or if there were others. It didn't matter all that much in the end, of course, but Breezy wondered nonetheless. Breezy laughed. "I know it was. He's really good at drawing Disney cartoons too. Have you seen some of them?" Justice was pulling on experience from his past life, but his little sister didn't know that. Yet. All that needed to happen was her recruitment into RSOR and everything would become clear... Including the reason why Justice was hesitant to fall for a girl this time around - He still harbored feelings for his previous wife. Breezy still had the occasional thought of William, and remembered him fondly. She honestly couldn't say that if she met him again, she wouldn't fall in love with him all over again. That said, she wasn't aware of Justice's conflict, and thus had no words of wisdom to offer to Orestia, other than the ones that she'd offer any other friend in such a situation. "I don't know about that. He can be oblivious at times, so chances are he hasn't even noticed how you feel about him. You'll never know unless you mention it to him." Breezy viewed this whole thing with a 'go get him' attitude, but given that she was a woman with confidence in a time when women usually faded into the background behind their husbands, this was not surprising. That said, most weren't aware of this tidbit, and so the advice seemed remarkably sound for that of a fourteen year old girl. What a surprise. Word count: 481 To: Orestia/Ali Notes: It's fine. XD

The thought of Ron getting hurt in her attempt to teach him random tricks didn't seem the cross Orestia's mind. In fact, a lot of things didn't seem to cross her mind when taking care of her kitten. Sure, her heart was in the right place and she adored Ron but was she honestly the best person to have a pet? The poor thing was not even seven months old and already he had nearly had his tail eaten by her randomly, force fed cat litter by mistake because of not knowing what cat litter actually was at first and using him as a bit of a pillow every night. Really, what were her parents thinking, buying her a kitten? She was the sweetest person ever but her lack of general knowledge and common sense meant that Ron was having a bit of a crazy upbringing with her. At Breezy's words she nodded vigorously - hurting Ron was the last thing that she wanted to do and this idea suddenly seemed like it would hurt him. "Yes your right. I'll ask my dad if he has any ideas..." She trailed off into her thoughts again. It seemed that Breezy had managed to talk her out of it with her simple logic. But sometimes that was all Orestia needed to snap her out of her crazy ideas. It was the way that Orestia's parents managed to stop her doing random things, but there was also some things that she went through with anyway. Orestia didn't have a good grasp of logic herself, but when someone else bought it up she saw it as well.
Whilst Breezy hoped that she would get Felicity next semester, Orestia hoped that she kept her. She had grown comfortable with her and knew that she could rely on her if she ever got stuck. She wasn't sure how many other teachers would be like that with her and so she wanted to keep at least one who didn't lose their patience with her. "If you don't get her for Biology you might have her for Earth Science. But yes, you'll enjoy her. I always look forward to her lessons." And that was the truth. Some lessons she didn't like such as maths and chemistry...others she could tolerate. Biology was the only one that she enjoyed going to. This semester anyway...maybe next semester she'd get another lessons that she would enjoy a lot, such as some sort of fashion class. Even though her idea of fashion didn't fit the social norm she still had a feeling that she would enjoy it as she'd be able to express herself even more and have an excuse to alter some clothes of hers to make them more unique.
Orestia had certainly seen Justice with his art supplies and she had even had the privilege to witness him working on some drawings. Which meant that yes, she had seen some of his Disney drawings even if they were little random doodles on a scrap of paper. "Yes! Yes I have! He drew me Belle once!" She remembered this fondly and still had the picture taped to one of the walls in her bedroom. Belle was her favourite Disney Princess after all...and it was drawn by Justice of course. She seemed to get excited at this thought, bobbing up and down in her chair suddenly before calming herself down by taking another long swig of her orange juice. "I tried to draw a picture back but mine looked like Ariel had grown three extra arms and had an octopus on her head." She pulled a face at this thought.
Even if Breezy was aware of Justice's life as Walt Disney, she would never be able to share it with Orestia who was a normal and was therefore blissfully unaware of reincarnates being among the student body. She often picked up vibes off Justice that there was some sort of heartbreak and figured that he was grieving the end of a relationship, but when she thought about it she had never known Justice to be in a relationship. Perhaps the vibes she got came from his heartbreak over his situation with Sylent and the twins. She would not be privy to the real reason though, at least not for years to come. Although Orestia was rather dimwitted, there were still things that she understood in the world and being a person who sat in the sunlight all day in a metaphorical way, she could easily tell who was having a harder time. Although Justice seemed fine enough on the outside at most times, she could tell that deep down he was suffering. She wished that she could extend a hand to him but like she had already said to Breezy she was not ready to tell him yet. Plus she thought that he would never love her back which also made her reluctant. Why ruin a great friendship for something that risky? She felt like Breezy was a good listener and although she had only known her throughout their shared lunch during this lunch hour she decided that she would tell her her worries. She needed to speak to somebody and Breezy seemed like the best options at the moment. "I want to tell him...I really do. But...what if I'm right and he doesn't think the same? He's become a good friend and I don't to lose that. Although I know him well enough that he wouldn't laugh at me or be mean about it...but what if it was weird afterwards and we were never as close?" She looked troubled at this thought. Although Orestia was an extremely positive ray of sunshine, certain things made her lose that positivity slightly and her feelings for Justice was one of those. Although love was a great thing, she also understood that it had the potential to cause great pain...and honestly it was slightly painful having these feelings in the first place. What if he found someone else before she worked up the courage to say 'I love you'? It would definitely zap the happiness out of her.

Fortunately, Orestia caught on pretty quickly as to the dangers that Ron might face if she went through with her plan. Growing up on a farm gave Breezy a huge soft spot for animals, so the thought of Orestia accidentally hurting Ron in her folly was not a pleasant thought by any means. "That's a good idea. Maybe he can come up with something...we could also try to brainstorm something ourselves." Breezy decided to add helpfully. After all, that way she knew Orestia wouldn't decide on something that may be detrimental to her kitten's health. "Well, good to know there's a couple of options. I think biology's a required class, though, so I'll see if I can try and request her." It was worth a shot, at least, and Orestia had her interested. Breezy grinned when Orestia informed her that Justice had drawn her a picture of Belle. "He's helped out with decorations at home a lot over the years...I remember he used to draw me pictures a lot when I was younger. He still does quite a few for Journey, our little brother, too. He doesn't seem as into some of the newer movies, but he gets really into the classics." Because he had a hand in making the classics, in some cases more than others, though once again, this was something that neither of the two girls were privy to. Breezy laughed at the mutated Ariel that Orestia described. "Well, I guess Ariel could look like that if she were exposed to a toxic waste dump or something. Though the octopus park almost makes me wonder if she might have disposed of Ursula and opted to wear her as a hat." It was an odd yet amusing thought, and certainly off the wall compared to the rest of the conversation. It was amusing because of this, though, rather than in spite of it. Though the blonde had a feeling that her jumping to search for a story behind the picture, no matter how off the wall, had something to do with Justice's influence. Funny how that happened. As humorous as this part of the conversation was, Breezy's more serious demeanor returned at the subject of Orestia's affections for Justice. Breezy could understand Orestia's concerns, though she honestly didn't see her brother as the type of guy to completely write off Orestia if she happened to admit that she had feelings for him. Not to mention Breezy was the kind of person who would go for it regardless of the consequences. "Can't deny that it's a possibility, but I think it's unlikely given how Justice is. It might be a little awkward, but I don't think he'd stop being friends with you. I think you should try. You'll never know what may happen unless you try. Sure, he may turn you down...but he may also say that he's interested too. So why not give it a try?" Breezy could easily picture having a similar conversation with one of her past daughters, though of course amended for differences in era. Funny how that happened. As with a daughter, though, Breezy could only hope for the best. It was up to Orestia, in the end, to decide what to do. Word count: 571 To: Orestia/Ali Notes: It's fine. XD
