To me it's black and white

[/color]Ana’s eyes roamed around the parking lot. She took in the look of the cars parked there and couldn’t believe she hadn’t tried this already. Well, she knew car alarms were a problem, but that was why she was going to test before snatching. She pulled her sweater closer around her and walked across the parking lot, skimming the cars and trying to decide which one she wanted to target. She passed a sports car, and another rather nice car with the license plate “Freddie”. She wasn’t sure which one to target…but she knew that she had to pick carefully.
It was like a game. She was gambling in a way. She glanced from one car to the next. She didn’t know her odds, only that some of these had car alarms, some likely didn’t. She needed to pick a car, hope it lacked an alarm, and then break in and take whatever she could get her little hands on. It was difficult, because a parking lot full of cars could all have alarms, and that’d mean her odds were zero. But in today’s age, from what she knew, when people left something unattended, it usually had alternate security.
Ana’s eyes finally landed on a worn black car. It looked older but she couldn’t be sure. She walked up to it and did a quick circle, glancing in the window. It had some loose change she could see and a bunch of junk in it. But it was a good place to start. It was old and appeared less valuable, and that meant less likely to be with an alarm to trip. Ana’s eyes roamed over it before she moved to the driver’s door and approached it cautiously as if the car was about to bite. She reached out her hand and touched the handle. So far so good. She gave the handle a firm pull and again the car remained quiet. Good! No alarm.
Ana reached into her back pack and dug through the layers of junk in it that she had swiped that day. She was actually running out of places to put the junk. She pulled out a large rock, but tried just opening the door before trying anything else. The rock had been picked up just for this purpose. She glanced around then pulled the door open. It was so easy!! Who left their damn car unlocked?!
She began digging through the glove box hunting for small trinkets and finding little of value. She took the change and started hunting around in the center storage piece of the car and finding a fair number of CD’s. She sat back in the driver’s seat skimming through them and checking the back of the CDs casually as if she had all the time in the world. It was thrilling to be able to access something so taboo…
