"When you're happy like a fool, let it take you over, When everything is out, you gotta take it in," He was headed in the right direction, correct? Towards the dorms? That was what it seemed like, anyway, because the lady at the office had said that there was a walkway on the third floor. So, Archer was just hoping to count his way up to the third floor, and then try to remember the direction from there. Honestly, sometimes big schools like this were such a maze… Reminded him of the old Greek buildings, but he usually had Glaucus, or someone else in the times before he met that goatherd, guiding him. But that was before they had created canes, so it was reasonable.
Tapping his way to the steps, Archer stepped up on them, his hand firmly clasping the rail. There were quite a few voices, smattering around the area, and quite loud, so he was thankful for the support that the rail gave to him. His cane was kind of useless on the short steps, though, unless he wanted to take forever, so he held it loosely in his other hand, using his foot to instead quickly tap on the step in front of it. This would quickly become tedious… It wasn’t as though he had never gone up to the dorms before (definitely not), but the previous times, he had had a guide, whether it was a teacher, his parents, the head of the school, or even a random student from his class that he had asked. But now, he was on his own, because even though he could ask someone, he was definitely going to have to figure it out for his own, eventually. So why not start now?
Truthfully, it was better said than done. However used to being blind he was, it didn’t mean that the poet was used to many, loud voices, all by him, so it was quite disconcerting, and definitely not good for his eardrums. How could the other kids stand it? Reminding himself that he had better hearing, as a result of lacking one sense, the freshman continued to make his way up the steps, a few times having to press his side into the rail in order to squeeze around someone. They should step farther back…
Unfortunately, at one point, his foot hit another person’s foot on the step in front of him. They were… leaning on the railing? Something like that? Either way, he couldn’t squeeze past them by the railing, so he spoke up, a little louder than he normally would in order to be heard over the din. “Excuse me, could you move? I need to get through…” Hopefully they would notice his tell-tale sightless eyes or his cane, because Archer really didn’t want to have to explain why exactly he couldn’t go around them. ~~~~~~

whatever you wish for, you keep have faith in your dreams and someday JUSTICE LOGAN ==================================== Justice had spent a lot of time wandering about the school today. He had nowhere to be and nothing to do and the school was just buzzing with activity. Justice had been everywhere looking for a place to sketch and everywhere was packed. Everyone appeared to be ignoring the dorms and settling in the study rooms and spare space where ever they could find it. Justice himself found all his usual haunts taken and he had considered heading down to the grounds where he could sit down and get comfortable with his sketch pad. He had several sketches on the go already anyways, Disney being his primary topic of interest.
Justice had been walking down the stairs when he finally got sick of the crowds and parked himself against the wall on the stairwell, his eyes wandering over the crowd wondering if he would ever get anywhere and considering heading to find Oliver instead. Oliver had a dorm shared by only RSOR members so maybe he could hang there for the afternoon. How he wished he had stayed home today instead, but Oliver would be a good alternative. As he was considering he felt something bump against his foot and became more aware of his surroundings and more particularly the boy in front of him.
Justice took in the outfit, the cane in the boy’s hand and his sightless eyes. How had Justice miss a blind boy walking around the school. He knew everyone. Justice became familiar with everyone and anyone who would speak to him and he was overall very friendly. So knowing there was someone who had stayed under the radar…
Justice allowed a smile to break out over his face, it was inevitable to be honest. ”Sorry, I didn’t meant to get in your way. It’s a tad crowded. Do you want me to help you get somewhere? I am having my own troubles getting around and I can’t imagine it would be easy for you either…If you are fine on your own, just let me know and I shall bug off!”
Justice offered. ”I am Justice Logan by the way. Pleasure to meet you.” he added, not bothering to offer his hand seeing as the other boy wouldn’t see it. Justice was pretty sure this boy was a freshman or a transfer from another school. There was no way he missed meeting the boy if he had been here for a while. Justice at least introduced himself to everyone and he was generally friends with everyone as well. It was part of the reason he was so well known within the school. He tried…[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Archer Clark •• •• Words • 438 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "A Dream is a Wish your Heart makes" From Cinderella ••

"When you're happy like a fool, let it take you over, When everything is out, you gotta take it in," Well, he certainly had a lot to say. Was he just running into all of the rather talkative people, lately? Deciding to give his name first, just to avoid having to answer all of those questions without thinking first, the reincarnate introduced himself. “I’m Archer, Archer Clark.” Hm, Justice? That was an odd name, but then again, he was named Archer, after all. One was named after something that people always sought, and the other named after someone that used to be used in wars. Rather odd naming choices on their parents behalf, he supposed, but the names were quite fitting. In his case, at least, he couldn’t tell for the other person.
Now, as for the questions… He hesitated, running over his thoughts for a moment. He was attempting to find his way to the dorms on his own, but Justice was offering… Ah, well, it wasn’t like he couldn’t try another time. Someone was offering to help him, after all, and the blind boy wasn’t exactly going to turn down given help. Most of the time, people just stayed out of his way, not offered to help, so he would latch onto this opportunity. That is, if the older boy (or deeper-voiced, whichever it was) was sincerely offering, and not just being polite…
After only a moment of hesitation, Archer spoke up. “Well, I’m heading to the dorms. It would be nice if you could help, or just point me in the right direction… That is, if it’s not too much trouble!” He did hate to ask for help, but at the very least, Justice would be helpful to plow through the crowds of people that didn’t exactly understand others needed to get through. Honestly, they should stay in the dorms, or find somewhere to sit… Something that didn’t block other people’s ways!
At least Justice wasn’t making it obvious. Seeing as he was assuming the other was older, he could’ve been referencing the fact that he was a freshman as his lacking of way to get around. Now, come the end of the school year or next year, if people were still offering to help him get around, well… Then he might get irritated. As of now, when many freshmen (from what he heard of their grumbling and asking for directions) still had not figured out how to navigate the school, and it took him a tad longer than them to memorize which way his feet were going, he would be cool with it. Now, it was quite nice. ~~~~~~

whatever you wish for, you keep have faith in your dreams and someday JUSTICE LOGAN ==================================== Justice smiled as the other boy introduced himself. Seeing as Justice often got questions or at least strange looks from his name when he introduced himself, and hearing that Archer was the other boy’s name meant the chances were that he wouldn’t ask. Or at least if he did, Justice could return the question himself. His parents were hippies…and not like he had a choice on what his name ended up being. Justice found that to be a sore topic over all, so at least this time around no questions followed his introduction.
Justice waited for the other boy to reply, not really noticing the short time before the response. He didn’t realize he was encroaching on an attempt to get to the dorms personally, and without help. He had just instinctively offered, but if he had known he might have let the other boy be. Freshmen as a general rule had a hard time finding their way off the start. The school was huge after all. Justice himself didn’t live on campus and instead lived at home with his sisters, brother, grandmother and more recently his two nephews. The main building was hard enough to navigate without having to worry about dorms, though Justice knew his way by now. He spent a lot of time in the dorms hanging out with friends.
So upon hearing that the boy was headed there Justice smiled. ”I was thinking of heading that way myself. So I can walk with you or direct you, whichever you prefer,”
Justice offered. Justice didn’t see it as the other boy asking for help, seeing as Justice himself had merely offered. He was intent on following through with his offer, though the other boy had the ultimate choice. ”So how are you finding Riverdale? Aside from the initial confusion because of the size, I found it quite a nice change. Though, I don’t live here on campus.” Justice explained. He was local, he didn’t need to be here. Though, some locals did stay in residence here instead of at home. Justice himself just hadn’t found a reason to. ”I live with my grandmother instead,” He finished. Justice wasn’t trying to talk the boy’s ear off. In fact he was being quite tame considering. Justice could be extremely social but his personality could be tempered by who he was around. This Freshman seemed a bit quiet and mature for a freshman. Maybe he was a sophomore instead? No…Justice would have noticed him by now. He was definitely a freshman. Justice would have made the offer for anyone who seemed confused or lost. This boy hadn’t necessarily seemed that way, but Justice had offered none-the-less.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Archer Clark •• •• Words • 446 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "A Dream is a Wish your Heart makes" From Cinderella ••

"When you're happy like a fool, let it take you over, When everything is out, you gotta take it in," Archer weighed both options, unsure. They were practically the same, after all, but at the same time, it would be preferable to walk together. After all, if he made a wrong turn, or something like that, Justice could just correct him. It was like… Writing a paper, and then having someone check it over. You were still doing the work yourself, but letting someone else tell you if you made a mistake. Proofreading, but more like Proofwalking. “Could we just walk together?” he asked, knowing that the boy had offered it as an option, but always wanting to make sure that the other was alright with it. “Of course, you can always tell me if I go the wrong way,” the blind boy added, smiling.
It would be nice to walk with someone, as well. Archer wasn’t exactly the best at making friends, preferring to have a cordial distance with everyone, in both lives (though Glaucus had been the exception…), but it was always pleasant to have a conversation and not be alone. Tipping his head slightly at the other boy’s question, the poet hummed lightly, considering it. “I really haven’t been around Riverdale super much,” he told the older boy, making a mental note to explore a bit more. “From what I’ve seen so far, it’s pretty nice, though.” Mentally snickering at the verb he used, Archer continued. “I live on campus, because my family lives in South Carolina, though I’m from England, originally.” Amending the ‘England’ to ‘Greece’ in his mind, something that he had always wished to say out loud and see what would happen, Archer found that he was actually enjoying himself, talking to another person. Huh. Maybe he should get out more often.
Curiosity ate at him, slightly, and his hand tightened on the rail, his anchor, as the poet spoke up, asking a question that he hoped wasn’t too annoying. “Um, what grade are you in, Justice?” he asked, curiosity overcoming him. He had to be older than him, regarding the fact that he wasn’t a fellow freshman, but he couldn’t tell how old… Seeing as he wasn’t the best at judging ages, he could be any of the older grades, for all Archer knew. Still, he liked to know. It was just one of his things.
Mentally backtracking as he realized something, Archer blinked, surprised, behind his useless glasses. Huh, he lived with his grandmother, but yet wasn’t native to Riverdale… That meant that either something happened with his parents, he decided to move away from them, or he had always lived with his grandmother, and they just happened to move… Wait, no, stop analytical mind! It is his business, nothing to go prying into! ~~~~~~

whatever you wish for, you keep have faith in your dreams and someday JUSTICE LOGAN ==================================== Justice wasn’t really thinking about the third possible option there, the unspoken one. That option was they both walk separate and act like they never spoke. That sounded both lonely, and bad, so Justice just let that one remain unspoken. If the boy really didn’t want them to walk together, Justice wouldn’t blame him, but it would be a bit of a disappointment. Justice didn’t want the boy to feel like he was forcing the help on him though, and figured if he wanted help he would ask.
Justice smiled widely when the boy wanted to walk together. ”Works for me! I am pretty sure you will be fine on your own. I mean, you can tell where I am when I talk right? So if we are walking together you will know which way I am going based on my voice anyways. But correct me if I am wrong…”
Justice added, not wanting to assume anything, seeing as he had more than a small margin for error in how the other boy perceived the world. Justice didn’t pretend to understand and for someone as visual and art based as Justice, it was impossible to imagine a life without sight, in fact, it was a horrifying thought. Justice nodded, and realized that the motion wasn’t something useful when communicating with Archer. ”Makes sense, I guess. So you live on campus but got here not long ago then. Well, it’s a pretty big campus, but I found after a month or so I knew it like the back of my hand.” Justice paused a moment. ”That is a weird saying…Let’s say I knew my way around by then,” he corrected. Justice didn’t even notice the use of the verb ‘see’. He was so used to people using it that to him it seemed natural in the sentence. He didn’t even consider that the other doesn’t see anything and therefore the verb wasn’t really a technical fit. Then again, that was normal considering Justice hadn’t spoken with a blind person before, or at least not like this. ”England? Wow! I am not really from around here either but we were not that far away. My family used to live in Texas. I don’t keep huge tabs on my parents, but they are around from time to time. My grandmother has always been more stable and my brother, two sisters and I have lived with her for years. Actually, if you run into her, my twin sister Sylent is around as well. She tends to be a bit nosey,” Justice said, the one word explaining Sylent perfectly. She really was nosey if anything, but that was her nature. He couldn’t exactly tell this boy that his sister was Nellie Bly after all. Justice realized he hadn’t really said much about himself as of yet. He decided it was probably easier if the other boy asked questions and Justice answered, seeing as Justice wasn’t sure where to begin. ”I am a Junior. Though, year doesn’t play a huge role here you will find. Seniors are friends with Freshmen it’s so irrelevant. It really is just a guideline for when you are going to leave.” Justice said with a shrug, once again catching the motion and realizing it was once again irrelevant.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Archer Clark •• •• Words • 547 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "A Dream is a Wish your Heart makes" From Cinderella ••

"When you're happy like a fool, let it take you over, When everything is out, you gotta take it in," Archer smiled, glad that he had agreed, and nodded in response to the others half question/half statement. “Yes, your voice is how I locate you. If it were quieter, I could tell your breathing, rustling of your clothes… All that.” His smile turned a tad rueful. “But it’s kind of loud, so the noise can be a tad disorienting. The more noise, easier it is for me to lose my way.” And that was a reason why he tended to be more quiet. While noise and loudness was all well and good, it tended to mess him up quite a bit. His mother had compared it to endless rows of funhouse mirrors, and while Archer still didn’t get it, even when she tried to explain it to him, he accepted the analogy as true. After all, she’d probably know, right?
Chuckling inwardly at how Justice corrected his usage of the saying, and his smile growing a tad, Archer responded lightly. “It might take me a bit longer, but I think I’m getting a hang of the basic paths,” he told the other, starting to make his way up the stairs. They had agreed to go together, and he did have to keep moving, so Justice would be with him, right? “And you don’t have to censor yourself, I understand stuff like that.” Well, he didn’t fully comprehend it, as someone who could see would, but he understood the metaphor behind it, and all that. “You just get used to them after awhile, though you’re right, it is a bit odd.”
He had assumed, of course, that the older boy had corrected himself for him. If he hadn’t, and had just actually been thinking about it because of Archer’s blindness, and had just realized that it was kind of weird, well… Hopefully not, it’d be kind of awkward. Reasonable to assume, but awkward.
“Well, I moved to America when I was about six,” Archer told the other, feeling as if he should edit himself to make that clear. After all, it wasn’t like he had a British accent or anything (at least, he had been informed that before, everyone sounded the same to him), though he was a bit of a stickler on pronunciation. He found himself carefully tucking away the information for further examination. So his parents didn’t exactly have a stable home (either not very wealthy or travelers), so that was why he stayed with his grandmother? Hm… And oh, he had siblings! Quite lucky of him!
The description of his sister made the younger boy chuckle lightly, and he smiled as a question occurred to him. “Oh, are you identical twins?” he asked curiously. Obviously, he wouldn’t be able to tell and it wouldn’t affect him, but he was a bit fascinated. How would it be, to be able to see and tell that someone shared the same face as you? Obviously, the fact that they were separate genders would be how they were told apart, if they were identical, but still… He wasn’t sure how it would feel, considering that he didn’t even know what people properly looked like, but it would be fascinating to ask someone.
His mouth going into an ‘o’ of understanding, Archer explained his reasoning for asking, feeling as if he didn’t want his meaning interpreted the wrong way. “I just wanted to place you,” he explained, hoping that it made sense. Dividing people by age helped him keep them organized, as it could be ridiculously hard to find people, sometimes, and it, just, well… It helped him, okay? Even if it didn’t make sense to the rest of the world… The other’s assessment of the grade system made him smile, though. “Very different from my old school, then,” the reincarnate told the other, thinking back on those days. “Everyone stayed within their own grade, and that was it.” And it could be rather tedious… “It wasn’t high school, though, so that could’ve been the difference,” Archer noted, willing to bring up the point not valid and indeed contradictory to what he had been saying, simply because it was a good one.
Hm, curious as to what the difference was, but he definitely didn’t feel like going back to his old school to try and figure it out. He wasn’t that curious. ~~~~~~

whatever you wish for, you keep have faith in your dreams and someday JUSTICE LOGAN ==================================== Justice raised his eyebrows, somewhat impressed that the other boy could tell where he was by more than just voice. He never imagined he was all that loud to begin with but he didn’t bother thinking too much on it. If he said that was how, then hey, whatever worked right? ”Makes sense I guess. I never thought my breathing and rustling was that loud. I guess you’re hearing is way better than mine is though.”
He said, shrugging. Justice smiled widely as the boy explained understanding the basic paths. It was always good to have some progress to start on and then to expand on. He didn’t say as much however and simply nodded. Then he realized that probably didn’t do much and said ”That’s good.” Justice let off a short laugh when he said he didn’t need to censor himself. ”Oh, that wasn’t for your benefit. It really is a messed up saying. How can one know the back of a hand?” Justice nodded when Archer mentioned moving to the US when he was 6. Interesting. Justice had lived here his whole life, just in a different state. But to be honest, the differences were prominent from state to state if you were used to one to start. Every place had its own uniqueness after all. ”I’d love to travel somewhere else when I get older, but to be honest, I’ve always been in the states so far. So, maybe this time I’ll try somewhere else.” Justice said thoughtfully. Then he caught himself. SHIT! ”That is to say, I lived in Texas before and now I live here. So maybe my next move I can be somewhere else. Perhaps Scotland…” He added, sounding genuinely thoughtful and not too hasty either. Justice had gotten good at covering up his own slips. Justice paused a moment and smiled at the question. ”No. We are fraternal. Though, there are some stark similarities. Our facial structures are similar. But that is just standard likeness of siblings.” He explained. Justice didn’t even think about how that wouldn’t effect Archer in any ways. It didn’t even cross his mind to be honest. Justice nodded again in understanding. Placing him, interesting way to put it. It was too bad grade didn’t place anything at Riverdale but he didn’t say as much. It just wasn’t something you flaunted around when it came to the information. What would people say if the ages varied from 14 years to thousands of years ago if you considered time period. That would weird out all the normals for sure. Justice grinned widely. ”I’ve heard that Riverdale is very different from any other school. But I am sure every school says that. Though, in that way at least it’s not uncommon. I have friends in many grades, in fact my closest friend here is a Freshman” he added with a shrug. ”I don’t know what elementary school is like by comparison so I am not much help there. I was home schooled.” Justice added.
