How to make history come to life? Well, your teachers are distributing papers on how this is going to work, but in case you don't get those, here is the paper, posted for your convince.
The Time Spiral Plot Synopsis A group of unruly scientists (played by the teachers), in their attempt to learn of the origins of the universe, create a rift in time. They patch the problem, but not long after that the patch gives - to an extent. The world is not swallowed by a black hole, but instead, an anomaly, nicknamed a "the time spiral" is produced, and it spits out various items from time periods. They think that's all, then people from various eras of time (the students) are produced from the spiral.
The scientists and their "minions" (the general public/audience) spent the subsequent evening mingling with the historical figures; trying to get them home, and preventing fights between people who are confused, out of their time, and may not get along.
By the end of the evening, though, the time spiral is mended, and everyone is returned to their appropriate time.
INTERACTIVE THEATURE - What is it? While our version of interactive theater does not use a stage, it does use a indoor "stadium" - on our case, a large indoor track - and puts up various sets. There is a loose plotline, but it creates 'edutainment' to the general public and groups of schoolkids. Some scripted events (ones that do not have an audience interaction) do occur at the beginning and end, as well as during scripted intervals, that, for all the audience knows, is random.
In addition, the audience will be given the option of various scavenger hunts and games that will require historical knowledge on all our parts.
The actors Well, all of you students. Especially you RSOR members. You're - as in, everyone in the school - to be the actors. Like it or not, all of you are in it. And don't you worry; much of the staff have a acting role, too, or we have to man every technical detail.
Who everyone is playing will be announced at a later date. You ARE expected to research the character (however you feel to do so - and you know who you are) to present an accurate portrayal of them. And there will be consequences, possibly from your own peers, if you don't.
Rehearsal Dates Rehearsal dates will be posted. The whole school won't rehearse at once until near the time of opening night - that would be chaos.
