[/color]Oz was feeling a little lost for the time being and he had been ever since the incident with Isa beating the shit out of him for that damn key. And to think in the end it had all been for nothing that she had pummeled him and taken that key. Oz had yet to visit the RSOR room since, feeling he was quite unwelcome and not even sure if he would be let in if he did show up. He imagined it would be decided by whoever the Leader supervising the room was. If Isa was there he wasn’t getting in. Cox also would probably bar his entry. The others he wasn’t completely sure of…well…maybe Fred would let him in, but she was also more of a positive thinker and wanted everyone to be seen in a good light not a bad one. Too bad it wasn’t always like that.
But right now, being stuck out of the RSOR room felt like a much bigger deal than Oz had thought it would ever be. He had never really fit in right or been completely comfortable in the RSOR room, but did he really have either of those benefits anywhere else either? He had faked his social relationships with everyone in RSOR and now there were consequences, but he hadn’t even gotten to the worst part yet. That was coming…and fast. He had one more Wizard Post to make, and he’d make it Halloween night, the dance itself being the stage for his initial reveal. Well, not exactly, he planned to post on the Bulletin board while everyone was at the dance so that it would be discovered the next day. But he had to do it, or Alison may never forgive him, and right now only she seemed to see there was more to him than what appeared to be there already.
Oz shifted his weight to the opposite foot, his eyes roaming to the attic door. Okay, so he was here after class on a Thursday. The room was likely to already have RSOR members inside but Oz wasn’t about to go in. He had no right to at the moment. He just wanted to feel like he had before. Well, maybe not exactly that way, but it was better than being left out. Hell, Oz had to admit he missed the attic, even if everything he said and did in there was mostly fake if anything. He just needed something more to his life right now than school, and with his mind no longer on terrorizing RSOR or trying to take over RSOR he was struggling with what to do with himself.
Oz had made a life for himself at Riverdale by setting a solid goal. When he had gone to drastic lengths to reach it he had felt like he had a purpose. It was an empty purpose, but that happened. He still wanted to be on the Leader’s Panel but he had realized he had to decide, and even then he may not get his other option either. He had to choose, keep gunning for the Leader’s Panel, or start cleaning things up so he could try for Alison’s attention. Maybe she would see him in a better light when everything was said and done and would actually consider spending solid time with him that didn’t include mind games. Of course, he could clean up and then have her turn him down—then he would just have to start over with trying for the Leader’s Panel, it was all he had left to do if she rejected him.
Oz’s eyes roamed the halls quickly and then back to the attic before he sat down next to the attic door. He was hoping no one came by who would be against him in any way. The last thing he needed was someone harassing him over the incident with Isa. Oz opened up his bag, drawing out a novel titled “Odalisque” by Fiona McIntosh. He opened to the book mark and began to read, waiting for nothing at all and not sure what else to do with his time…
