Madness takes it's toll [Open!]

Originally she wasn’t going to attend. It was odd, because Drizzle had never been the type to miss a party, or a dance. But, she just wasn’t really in the mood. Too much homework to do, she had songs to write, and several other things she didn’t want to delay. As the day of the dance came speeding, she had started to change her mind. The previous year, she had stayed in her dorm, while her roommates were out and honestly it hadn’t been that fun. So… why not attend this time? Her grades weren’t really that bad, and her song writing muse could come back later - she could take a break, and have some fun, right?

Oh yeah.

Drizzle was rather excited about the dance, actually. Even if she couldn’t really dance, she could always have some fun. Chat with a few friends, have some snacks… heck, she might even try and dance a little. She’d learned some tap steps, because really, with the costume she was wearing, tap dancing was almost mandatory. This year, she had dressed up as Columbia, from the Rocky Horror Picture Show. So, she made her way to the gym dressed up in that bright costume, with her hair pulled up and tucked into a red wig, wearing bright red lipstick and a thick layer of eyeliner. She was quite proud with her costume choice, having been a Rocky Horror fan for a while now. As a child she had watched the film with her mother and she had even had the childish dream of starring in the musical some day. As a child she had figured it was virtually impossible but hey - she was Janis Joplin. Who had ever said she was going to sit down and conform? Maybe, she’d actually find herself of that stage, one day… It wasn’t really impossible. But, for now, Drizzle was contented with walking into the gym, with a bright smile, as she took a look around to try and spot some familiar faces.
