songs that we had never heard, but we danced anyway CÉCILE INGOT ==================================== Okay…Halloween wasn’t really Cecile’s thing. She hated being scared, spooked, snuck up on…or any of the usual spooky Halloween crap. She didn’t care for horror movies, though gore didn’t bother her, and she certainly didn’t care for pranks. But the dressing up on Halloween, now that was fun. Cecile hadn’t really enjoyed Halloween when she was a child, but now that she was older and had more control over her own costumes, she found it was much more tasteful. She also preferred the girly costumes, which was a bit of a surprise to most. She didn’t dress slutty on purpose for a costume, ever, but she dressed tastefully!
This year she was a pixie. She had her hair left loose in thick waves around her face, a short little dress with black shorts underneath, her finger and toenails were done up very extensively (and please note she did them herself) and so was her makeup (also done by her). Cecile had a knack for makeup and was good at designing intricate patterns with both make up and nail polish. It was a skill….
The other major thing to note was that Cecile was walking around with bare legs and bare feet for the night. It went with the costume, even though she could have compromised with some stylish sandals, barefoot just felt right. So she was padding around with just her feet on the floor as she moved through the gym. The room was already full of costume clad individuals, and Cecile was no exception today, but it did make maneuvering around difficult sometimes. Especially with Cecile’s wings sticking out like they did. She found herself against a wall in no time, just waiting for something and nothing. She didn’t really have plans to meet anyone and was just sort of there for today. She hadn’t even considered who she wanted to see truth be told…but it would be nice if someone would dance with her. It had been a long time since Cecile had a guy ask her to dance.

Your tears don't fall They crash around meHer conscience calls the guilty to come home So Raven, it seemed, had a bit of a falling out with Leila, which honestly sucked a bit. Sure he wasn't too badly hurt, but it wasn't a great feeling either. Which meant he was probably going to do something either stupid or crazy. Hey, maybe he would even mix the two just for an added bit of fun. It was, after all, Halloween which happened to be one of his favorite holidays. He wasn't going to let a silly break up dampen his spirits on such a holiday. Well, at least he was going to attempt for that to happen. He was certainly not about to promise anything seeing as he really was rather bad with them to begin with unless they were the threatening type. Though he had to say those were generally more fun.
Thus he had gone out and bought himself a set of faerie wings, in black, and a black tutu to go over his skinny jeans and with his tank top. Yes, he had gotten the strangest looks ever from the cashier, and no he could not give a fuck less about what they thought. Hey, for all they knew he was buying it for his little sister or something. Now, Raven did not have a sister, but he was just noting that they really shouldn't judge him for buying something that was apparently considered girly and weird. Maybe he liked girly and weird, and sometimes he had to say he definitely liked weird that was for sure. Thus he had put the outfit on, and he walked out the door while completely ignoring anything his roommates would possibly have to say about him wearing a skirt and wings.
He made his way around the dance by fluttering about in combat boots seeing as they were the most comfortable even if they did not make the most sense with his outfit. He was still a guy and thus could not give a damn less if his boots matched his outfit.
Anyway about fifteen minutes in, and about seven thousand weird stares later he found a girl who also had faerie wings. Though she wasn't dressed quite like a faerie, unless she was a nature faerie, but he wasn't entirely sure. He was certainly a dark faerie and that was pretty obvious as far as he was aware, but he may have to ask her. He had seen her around and knew enough about her to recognize her as a certain Skylar Ingot's little sister. Well, this probably counted as stupid and or crazy then he realized as he walked up to her. Seemed she was waiting for something, and well if she had nothing better to do maybe she would dance with him. He hoped Leila would be jealous if she heard about it too as an added bonus. "Hey, want to dance?" he asked with a bit of a smile at the girl. Now, the real question here was would she even accept. Though first he was suspecting that she might get a few laughs out of what he was wearing. After all, he did have to say that it was slightly ridiculous even by his standards.

songs that we had never heard, but we danced anyway CÉCILE INGOT ==================================== Cecile had not expected this very person to approach her at all, let alone to dance. Hell, she could have sworn Raven had a twin brother with the way he was dressed. It was almost spooky how in ways his costume matched hers. She was a pixie though, and he appeared to be a dark fae. Her eyes roamed over the costume, taking in the tutu, skinny jeans and his tank top and wings. Anyone seeing Raven tonight was either going to laugh or have their jaw drop in sheer shock. She was betting the second one was more likely.
Lately Cecile had heard more things about Raven but she didn’t really know him directly. Raven had avoided the RSOR room it seemed. Or at least Cecile had never seen him there. She knew who he was and what he looked like though, so no introduction of him was required, the question was enough of an introduction to the ‘conversation’, if you could call it that.
That was when she noticed the combat boots. Cecile couldn’t help the amused smile that flit across her face at the sight of them. She raised her eyes up to his and her smile grew. ”Love you’re costume. The Combat boots are a nice touch.”
She didn’t actually answer his question right away, but she didn’t care. His costume was worth commenting on. As she answered she also stood up, ”Sure…” She offered, not about to turn him down. Now, logically she knew she should stay away from Raven, but dressed like this he seemed harmless. She had to remind herself that she had just agreed to dance with a serial killer dressed as a fairy, and also had to force herself not to laugh at the idea. She didn’t know why Raven didn’t seem that dangerous to her. Perhaps it was because she hadn’t been present for the mess in London like the others. She had been there of course, but Madeleine de Vercheres wasn’t exactly a huge, widely known historical figure. She hadn’t had a wax figure and therefore hadn’t experienced what the rest had. She felt thankful instead of jealous though…[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Open •• •• Words • 360 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "We Danced Anyway" by Deana Carter ••

Your tears don't fall They crash around meHer conscience calls the guilty to come home Honestly Raven wasn’t sure what possessed him to ask a random girl he had never spoken to before to dance, but he was going to follow through with it. Might as well now that he had already asked, and while she seemed to be a little surprised it didn’t seem she was upset by it. Most RSOR girls would probably turn him down and glare at him. Seemed this girl was a little different though, and hey their costumes just ended up matching so might as well. Not like she was going to try and stab him or something at a public school dance. Besides, he was pretty sure he was doing this slightly in spite of his ex who hated most people in the RSOR. Cecile might have even been one that would have been on her victim list, and while he had no way of knowing that just the idea that she might have been was enough for him to ask.
He saw the amused smile flit across her face and blinked at her a little confused. Now, what was that smile for he wondered? Then he figured it out after she made the statement about his combat boots. She even complimented him on his costume ”Oh, thanks I like yours too, and the boots are due to not wanting to deal with uncomfortable shoes all night” he said with a smile. He really wasn’t used to compliments that much, but he was managing to deal with it without being awkward about it. After all, he wasn’t exactly an awkward person to begin with. Though, he realized, she hadn’t actually answered the question he had asked her when he walked up. Maybe he should have said hello first or something, or maybe she just wanted to say something about his outfit before she either turned him down or agreed to dance with him.
He had to say that he was a tad bit surprised when she actually agreed to dance with him. That was certainly a shock and he blinked at her before smiling. ”I hadn’t expected you to actually agree, but I like this better than being turned down I have to say.” he stated with a smile at the girl. With a small bow at her he offered his hand for her to take. After all he could be quite polite when he wanted to be, and he certainly knew how to dance. In London he had demonstrated such by ballroom dancing with himself at one point. He honestly could not remember what possessed him to do some ballroom dancing, but he had certainly lost his marbles while in London. Which explained why he had just done some things that were entirely questionable in nature. That, and he had too much sugar late at night. At home he wasn't exactly allowed to have sugar. So maybe he went a little overboard with it, but well too late to fix that now so whatever.

songs that we had never heard, but we danced anyway CÉCILE INGOT ==================================== Cecile wasn’t sure what had possessed Raven to make him ask anyone to dance. He was known in RSOR as a villain considering he was Jack the Ripper. Cecile had been warned over and over about him by various people. Then again, she got almost a feeling of being the younger sister of many members in RSOR. She was like that little sister figure to more than a few of them and they were all looking out for her. RSOR was a family after all and that made Raven that one uncle who everyone doesn’t talk about except to warn everyone else and then they avoid him cause he is too estranged.
Cecile also didn’t see what Raven had done to her to make her say no. After all, she wasn’t a prostitute and not within his MO right? Cecile mentally shrugged it off, knowing that the place was crowded and she had nothing to worry about unless Skylar found out and ragged on her for it later. Like Cecile cared if he did that! To hell with Skylar, he hadn’t told her several things in the past and had done things she was against. It was her turn!
Cecile smiled widely, taking amusement and a tad of flattery from his comment about her costume. She had just been complimented on her costume by Jack the Ripper! Then again, Cecile got that feeling often in RSOR. She was learning how to spar from Joan of Arc, who was her roommate along with the infamous Bonnie, and her older brother was Thomas Edison. RSOR did that to you and if you were not in the loop it was nothing out of the ordinary.
Cecile laughed looking down at her bare feet ”That’s why I just didn’t bother…”
She said, wiggling her toes in the free air. Though she hadn’t considered by then that his big boots on her little toes would hurt if he stepped on her as they danced. ”Just try not to stomp on my toes...Okay?” She added, knowing already that Raven could at least ballroom dance from what she had heard about him in London. Now that was something she’d have loved to see. Cecile smirked at him when he admitted he was surprised she agreed. ”I may know who you are, but you haven’t done anything to harm me in any way so why would I say no? I guess I have been warned against being around you, but they’ll get over it,” Cecile said with a grin. She was quite amused by the small bow and curtsied in turn and placed her hand in his, allowing him to lead her to whichever spot he’d prefer. It was a rather formal gesture and definitely something that Cecile was well schooled in. She had been a landowner’s daughter after all, and dancing more formally was more than common for her back then. And she couldn’t deny, she still found that old fashioned style much more flattering than customs of today’s time period.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Open •• •• Words • 504 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "We Danced Anyway" by Deana Carter ••

Your tears don't fall They crash around meHer conscience calls the guilty to come home Well, Raven definitely was in a good mood tonight. He was eighteen again after all and thus could be considered a legal adult. Sure that meant it would be harder for him to get away with things, but at least it meant he was just that much closer to leaving Riverdale behind and doing whatever he wanted with his life. Which he had a little more planning to do because he didn’t have another serial killer with him, and did he really want to continue with that? He had calmed down from when he was first sent here and honestly he was a little conflicted on whether he wanted to continue with his murder spree. After all being a serial killer wasn’t exactly the best career choice seeing as it left you always paranoid and on the run. Which, in his opinion, was the worst part about the killing, and while other parts were fun he wasn’t sure what to choose. Though he was going to worry about it later because for now he had time, and he was going to enjoy the dance.
It seemed the girl enjoyed the compliment he had given her and he gave a bit of a smile in return. Hey, sometimes he could be polite and other times he could be a complete jerk. It just depended on what kind of mood he was in. Obviously he was in a good mood tonight. He looked down as Cecile did and noticed, for the first time, that she was actually not wearing shoes. Huh, he had completely missed that, but it was no big deal. Though he was pretty sure he would not want to walk around Riverdale without shoes on. Who knew what kinds of things were lurking around the floor. Hearing her asking him to not step on his toes he smiled. ”I do know how to dance, so it should be no problem.” he said while faking offended that she would even suggest that he would do such a thing. Though honestly with some people he would probably do so on purpose just because he hated them, but this girl was not one of those people so she would be fine.
He shrugged at her statement. ”Some would turn me down just because of who I am even if I had done nothing to them, and I think every person in the RSOR has been warned since London which really is annoying. I hate having my identity spewed everywhere.” he said with a frown. Then just shrugged it off before giving a small bow to her and smiled when she curtsied in return. He took her hand and led her onto the dance floor. Now, what sort of dance shall they do? Well, he was just going to pick one and hope she would just follow along. After a few simple steps they were dancing in a spot that was a bit away from everyone else. He didn’t want to end up getting either of their wings caught on someone else’s costume seeing as that would just be irritating. Besides, this way they could move freely as well rather than in a cramped location with everyone else.

songs that we had never heard, but we danced anyway CÉCILE INGOT ==================================== Cecile rarely thought about age anymore, as she was around people whose looks deceived and were far from their apparent age. Hell, she felt so much older than she was in this life. She was far from being merely a fifteen year old girl. She was so much more, just like everyone else in RSOR. All of them were in the same spot as her, far older than the high school population and select few were far older than anyone should ever be in a given life. But that was what happened when you stacked two lives together. Cecile herself had banked 84 years alive. She should be a really old woman, but she was young and felt great, so why squander it?
Cecile hadn’t even considered how to live this life. If you had asked her if she’d live again one day she’d have told you that you were in need of some help. Yet here she was as sure as Jack the Ripper was dancing with her and Thomas Edison was going to have a fit later. Skylar was totally going to kill her—Cecile had considered a few possibilities for future employment but most of today’s businesses and jobs were far from her idea of an ideal job. She had always wanted to fight with the men and now she had a chance, but it wouldn’t be quite the same. Cecile had already considered the military as an option and she may just go that way yet. She wasn’t 100% sure anymore.
Cecile had glanced up from her bare feet to see Raven had looked down at them too. When he looked back up she shrugged. ”Pixies are wild, I figured they wouldn’t wear shoes…”
She said in explanation before he could ask. Cecile smiled, glad to hear the boy could dance. Naturally that meant her toes were sure to be safe. ”That is good to hear…” She added with a laugh at the faked offended tone. Naturally she hadn’t considered that others may step on her bare toes when she came to the dance and now that she was more aware of it she sort of wished she had brought shoes just the same. She shrugged it off as it was too late and she wasn’t about to let that ruin her fun. ”Well I also know how to dance, so I guess this should be a good dance…” Cecile said with a grin. She was looking forward to dancing. It was always nice to have someone to dance with, even if everyone else would disapprove. They could all go suck it…she wasn’t in the 1600 and 1700s anymore. Their opinions didn’t change a thing. Cecile gave another shrug as he mentioned his identity being spewed. ”I think they all mean well. And honestly, I think it’s more suspicious if you kept hiding, even if this isn’t your will for people to know. See, this way we know your intentions, though I have to say some are just assuming what your intentions are in ways...I mean, I heard bad things about what went on in London…but that aside you haven’t really done that much to warrant the arm’s length behaviour. Have you?” She add the last one on curiously, even though she was sure that if he had done something else she didn’t want to know. Cecile fell into step easily enough with Raven. Raven had only come a century after her approximately, though even she wasn’t sure as they never knew who Jack the Ripper had been as a person. Not that many dances had changed by then, considering the world didn’t develop and change quite so quickly then. And even son, the modern styles Cecile knew a little about for the more formal ones. So it was enough to get by. The more isolated location was sort of nice. It meant wings were not a problem and Cecile was sure that someone would have tread on her feet if they’d been in the mob. Though, she was also sure here anyone in RSOR could pick them out and was almost amused to think what the reactions would be. Who would have thought Jack the Ripper would ask her to dance? She didn’t anticipated and she found that since no one else had asked, they clearly couldn’t complain.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Open •• •• Words • 723 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "We Danced Anyway" by Deana Carter ••

Your tears don't fall They crash around meHer conscience calls the guilty to come home Raven wasn’t sure what to think with age and such. Really he was fine considering himself a teenager rather than his actual age. Which, really he hadn’t even remotely paid attention to it in his first life. He had more important things to worry about after all, and so he was not really sure how many years he really had. Though he was pretty sure it was less than many of the other reincarnates. After all, the killings had stopped rather abruptly for a reason. He wasn’t about to tell anyone about that though. Hell, even Leila knew hardly anything about his first life. Sure he had told her a few things, but he hadn’t really told her much. Honestly, he did not like talking about himself. He would rather not talk about himself in either life actually. Just wasn’t something he found to be all that interesting of conversation. Besides, most people would probably just get upset with him over the things he had done in the past, and some things he had done more recently actually. Sure he could say what he did to Tamara was just because of the keys, but he also did it for Evie being that she was his friend and Tamara was just some stupid whore. Which, really, that was all he viewed her as. She wasn’t really a topic of importance at the moment, though if he saw her he may start laughing. He would try to avoid having to deal with her though seeing as she did tend to bring out his more psychotic side, and he was trying to have a nice simple Halloween.
Hearing Cecile mention how pixies were wild he just shrugged. ”Makes perfect sense to me though I wouldn’t trust this floor so as accurate as it would be I would have to pass on that.” he said with a slight smile at her. Well, that was just his opinion on the matter he supposed, but still he definitely did not trust what things could be all over the gym floor. Anyway though, it seemed she was glad that he knew how to dance. Hey, at least he wasn’t going to step on her feet or anything, and apparently she could dance as well. ”That works out for both of us then.” he said with a bit of a smile at her. Yes, one of them was probably going to get into some hell for it later, but he didn’t particularly care about that. Seeing as she had agreed without any hesitation, he wondered if she even thought about it. Ah well, nothing he could do about it. Besides, she seemed like the type to say to hell with what everyone thought anyway. Especially seeing as she had stated that she knew who he was, but didn’t care. That was just fine with him, and hey at least he would get to dance for a little while. Seeing as he was almost positive nobody else would be agreeing to dance with him any time soon. Well, a few of his friends might, but he doubted that highly seeing as most of them either were not the dancing type or had a significant other.
Hearing her talk again he did suppose she had a point, but still it was annoying. ”They may mean well, but it isn’t their identity, and it isn’t their secret to tell. I spent most of my first life and most of this life paranoid about people finding out who I was. Having it just spewed all over the place is not good for my paranoia.” he said with a sigh. Sure he had left out if he had done anything and chose to just answer it with a shrug, but he didn’t really want to talk about the things he had done since London. That was probably the extent to which he would ever explain why he hated his identity all over the place. Really, it was just logical that a serial killer didn’t want everyone to know that he was one. The fact that everyone in RSOR knew just drove his paranoia up a wall and made it that much harder for him to get away with anything. Hell, if a person turned up missing now, then they would probably jump to the conclusion that it was either him or Leila. It was amazing they hadn’t put together what had happened last Halloween yet. That was just a flat out miracle in his mind. Though, it was also entirely possible that they had forgotten all about it. Ah well, they were off dancing already and it was easy enough to follow along at the pace they had both fallen into. Sure there were a certain number of people that could easily point them out, but he honestly couldn’t care less about what anyone else thought.

songs that we had never heard, but we danced anyway CÉCILE INGOT ==================================== Cecile often thought about how strange ages were in RSOR. So many of them had a lifetime of banked ‘living years’. Cecile often wondered if those years even made a difference. She made the same mistakes as those of her apparent age and she still felt new to this world. It was different and so ultimately though they all had skills or ideas that were older and further developed from a former life, she also saw this world as almost like a second life time that only carried forward so much of the first. She just hoped others saw it that way. She hoped that people would realize this life was for a second chance and it was time to live it. Cecile didn’t like to dwell on the past too much. Instead she wanted to look at now and try to understand now as it existed. If she didn’t have RSOR that would be easier but she wouldn’t trade RSOR for the world.
She shrugged a moment as he mentioned not trusting the floor. ”I haven’t stepped in anything but dirt yet. So I think I’ll be alright.”
She said with a grin. Though, she did understand where he was coming from on that one. ”It’s surprising but the school floors are not that bad.” She added on afterwards as an afterthought. They were clean enough after all. Cecile smiled as he mentioned the dancing working out for the both of them. ”Indeed it does. It’s much better to dance with someone who knows how to dance than to dance with someone who just steps back and forth on the floor. People today do not have the appropriate skill in dancing. They are not required to learn after all…” Cecile said as if it explained away many of the problems in today’s world. Her world, and her life had been very different than this. Cecile listened to his concerns on his past life being RSOR knowledge. She considered it from his perspective and found herself nodding absently a moment before giving a much fuller nod. ”I think I understand. I’ve never been purely paranoid myself but I see where that would become irritating. But what do you have to be paranoid for within RSOR? Unless you intend to do more things in a similar manner what is there to be afraid of?” She inquired with a smile. ”I guess there is still the issue of if anything ever got out. But I mean within RSOR itself it is harmless unless you intend to commit more crimes of the like. You don’t do you?” She asked cautiously unsure of if she wanted the answer. ”Actually, you know what? Don’t answer that…I don’t think I need to know that or that I want to know one way or the other.” She meant she didn’t want to know if he was and even if he wasn’t. Right now it wasn’t her business and she really didn’t want a bad answer back in return. She much rather not think about the one she was dancing with as a potential murder…ironic when you considered he was actually a serial killer already.
