the finish line is just around the bend, i’ll pause this game… MICAH SIMMONS ==================================== Micah was outside. He hated being outside. Outside was bad. Outside meant dirt. Dirt ruined comic books, games and action figures. Outside meant too much sun, not enough dim room with the television as a primary light source. Micah as a result didn’t have a comic book. He didn’t have any action figures. Instead he had his 3DS stored safely in his grip. The 3D was turned down so he wouldn’t get a headache from playing too extensively. Micah loved the 3DS, even though the battery life wasn’t phenomenal. And to make it even better, more recently Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time had just been released for it and he was finding the old classic particularly enjoyable.
Now, why was Micah outside? Well it was a Saturday, so the school was closed. And he had accidentally locked himself out of his dorm. So for the time being he was stuck, until one of his room mates were available to let him back in. That meant, he was pretty much stuck outside. And Micah HATED being outside. Outside was bad. Dirt was bad. Sun was bad. And his battery wasn’t going to last forever. If the battery started to go he was definitely heading to the library to charge it as he played. He had his gameboy colour with another Zelda game kicking around for his own entertainment as well…and so that he wouldn’t have to go without in case the battery did die. And at least with the colour he could replace the batteries with his back up supply.
Micah was particularly irritable, seeing as he had been sitting on a bench for a few hours. He was quite the nerd and his parents had sent him here to get him to focus more completely on school. Of course, Micah had done the opposite, indulging more and more into his games and fantasy worlds. His laptop still had his MMO running in his room, he had only popped out to pick up an online order from the gaming store that he had placed a while ago. The delay had irritated Micah as well, so he had been relieved to finally have access to his games. Especially since one of them was the latest Mortal Kombat.
With the bag on the bench next him, Game Stop written on the side, as he played Micah was a tad desperate to get back indoors. His fingers furiously pounding the buttons he needed to swap through weapons and navigate the fire temple as if he was born to do it. Having beaten the game so many times, Micah was playing casually though, otherwise he would be on the new Master mode that changed the enemies and made them hit twice as hard. He had already beaten the game on his handheld a few times.
Micah’s smile was deceiving when you considered just how miserable he was sitting under a tree on a bench….

Ever since Halloween, Oliver was trying to avoid Micah with a wide berth. While he had no problem with communicating with the other young man via text, he wasn't sure that he wanted to carry on another conversation with him. Part of him wanted to chat with Micah - After all, Micah seemed to be another person he could carry on technical conversations with without the idea that his eyes were glazing over whenever he went into the more complicated details. The events of the amusement park still rang clear within his mind, however. Looking back, he wanted to kick himself. How could he have reacted in such a manner? He'd nearly given away RSOR! Fortunately, Micah seemed none the wiser, though surely he had to have thought something was odd about Oliver's actions. It did amuse Oliver, however, that for all of the physical differences that Micah noted between his current body and his past body, he hadn't mentioned one of the most obvious ones - The difference in eye color. That offered a remote bit of reassurance, and Oliver would take any reassurance that he could get. The reincarnate was heading home from work. It was a job that he enjoyed far more than his previous job as a grocery clerk. It paid a little better as well. It was odd that the person who landed the job for both Oliver and Nate left Riverdale shortly after, but Oliver did remain grateful toward Xelios for helping him to get the job. He was almost to the school when he happened to notice that he was about to walk past someone he both wanted to see and wanted to continue avoiding. Oliver considered going in the other direction, but if Micah happened to look up and see...well, no, that couldn't do. He'd just have to walk past and act as if he didn't notice. That sounded like the best option. Hoping that Micah was immersed enough in whatever he was doing that he didn't see any of Oliver's hesitation, Oliver continued to walk, this time past Micah. Of course, that was the plan. When did plans ever go according to...well, plan? The notebook of notes from class that Oliver was carrying under his arm was jostled, setting loose a sketch that Oliver had worked on during his break at work. Said image was of the coffee maker Oliver was working on, and Oliver watched in mild horror as the image landed right at Micah's feet. Well, now it would be pretty much impossible to continue with walking the way he'd planned. Now that he'd stopped, it was clear that he'd seen the sketch slip from the notebook, and that he'd see Micah. He had absolutely no choice now. He'd just have to suck it up and talk to Micah. Striding up to the other freshman, Oliver cleared his throat. "I'm sorry, I hope you don't mind my interrupting...I've dropped one of my papers." He managed a small, awkward smile and bent down to retrieve his paper. Maybe that would be the end of it, but Oliver highly doubted it. And honestly, part of him wanted to discuss the coffee maker with Micah. There were limited other people with which he could discuss his projects in detail, and Micah had more than shown at the amusement park that he would likely understand. The problem was that he was a normal. If Oliver slipped and said the wrong thing in front of Micah again, who knew what would happen? He waited for the other young man's response, his always active mind already reeling, trying to figure out what to do next. Word count: 620 To: Jez-E with Micah Notes: Nada

the finish line is just around the bend, i’ll pause this game… MICAH SIMMONS ==================================== Micah hadn’t really considered looking for Oliver again after Halloween. He had certainly thought about their conversation though. The tone Oliver had used when he said he had invented airplanes with his brother had suggested he was being honest and he meant it. He hadn’t used the same voice as he had in character of his costume. As a result, Micah couldn’t help but wonder what the kids issue was. Was he just insane? Or was he just a good actor. Micah knew that the second seemed unlikely but there were no other explanations. The Wright brothers were dead and had been for a long time now. Dead people do not come back from the dead, it was scientifically impossible.
Micah had been texting Oliver about technology and inventions, but that’s about it. And he had found the other to be good company. Micah knew many people could come to believe something so completely it became truth. He also knew that some people lacked the knowledge to social queues and tones. Oliver was one of the two, he thought.
The other part of Micah’s intelligent response had been to let Oliver push it aside. He wasn’t about to make a big deal about it on the spot. He needed time to think and more time to dig into what could possibly explain the strange behaviour. Micah was no fool and he knew more than he let on most of the time. He hadn’t discovered anything new really, but he did take a look at the Wizard post about Oliver and talk to a few people about him, hoping to understand more about the kid. So far all he’d dug up is the nickname Orville, that the kid loved remote control planes, built and tested them, and he was also aware that Oliver had an exceptional knowledge of electronics and got offended when he had suggested problems with Oliver’s costume. All of it pointed to something in quite solid evidence, but for now he wasn’t sure he understood or cared what.
Micah’s thoughts went to all this information as he noted the piece of paper at his feet. He dropped the DS onto the table next to him and reached down to pick up the paper. His eyes skimmed it over and took in the construction of it was ease. His brain noting small details on the paper in the short moment he looked at it before his eyes scanned up to see Oliver right in front of him, just as the other boy spoke. He hadn’t seen him since Halloween, and seeing him in street clothes took a moment to recognize him. It was the posture that gave him away…well that and the eyes.
His smile popped up instantly, even if he was still partially miserable. ”Hey Oliver! What are you doing out here on a Saturday afternoon?”
Micah piped up cheerfully. ”You are not really interrupting anything,” Micah commented, his hand outstretched retracting as Oliver had gotten to the paper first. He turned slightly and picked up the DS again. ”I am stuck here until Seth comes back. I locked myself out of my dorm,” Micah explained with a smile. Micah was unaware of Oliver’s more pressing issue, but he was aware of Oliver’s apparent discomfort. He just didn’t understand why. He felt the same way that night at the amusement park after the airplanes topic came up. It was a bit strange and confusing for him, not sure why this topic was so awkward. He decided not to ask.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Open •• •• Words • 607 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "Mario Kart Love Song" by Sam Hart ••

Oliver Winchester, along with 40 percent of Riverdale High, was living proof that dead people could come back from the dead. It was for the best that Micah did not know this, though unfortunately Oliver was not aware of this yet. He didn't know what Micah knew, to be honest, and that scared him. He knew social cues very well, actually, using them frequently to discern possible members for the RSOR. He knew that his recovery had been feeble at best, and he hoped that Micah would just drop the subject, even though he'd been able to tell by looking at Micah the night before that Micah hadn't entirely bought his excuse. So far so good, yet even without the subject being touched, it lingered in the shadows. "I'm just coming back from work, actually." Oliver indicated the name badge mostly hidden from view under his light jacket that the crisp October air made necessary. While he'd originally intended to head back to the dorm or perhaps the attic, he didn't have much of a choice but to stick around. He decided to sit down on the bench next to Micah, more than aware that it wasn't polite to talk to someone standing up while they were sitting, and just how awkward it could feel when you were the one sitting and grilled by someone who was standing. It was how the majority of Oliver's recruiting took place, after all. Oliver grinned a little. "Locked yourself out of your dorm? My...one of my dormmates does that quite a bit. Thankfully I usually have my key on me." Then again, Wilbur was also the guy who frequently left his hat at home when he went to leave for work each day and had to come back to fetch it before heading back. He wasn't sure what to make of Angelo yet, though so far Angelo didn't seem too bad. Even with his own celebrity status, it was still a tad hard to grapple with the fact that he was actually rooming with Michelangelo. Michelangelo was the stuff of legend in his first life! He was happy nonetheless that he'd stopped himself early enough to provide what he hoped would be no suspicion as to Oliver saying anything odd. He'd been about to call Nate his brother. Realizing that Micah had likely seen the sketch, Oliver decided to hand it to Micah, a small smile on his face. "It's a coffee maker I'm working on. Instead of adding cream and sugar and all of the fixings yourself, I figured I'd set it up so that it already adds sugar and cream to the mix. I may add in different settings as well, but I figure I should work my way up." He explained quietly. The design itself was far more complicated than what a normal freshman would be able to design, of course. His sketch was both professional and had complicated details. It was by no means a beginner's sketch, and belied years of experience. Or, so a reincarnate would realize. Who knew what Micah would make of it? It was also important to note that Oliver clutched the rest of his notebook tighter to his person. Oliver both wanted to avoid the subject of the amusement park and address it at the same time. He wanted to know what Micah thought about the incident. Had he just blown it off or did he realize that something was off? "Hey, I'm sorry about the amusement park. I kind of got a little into it that night. I think we all went a bit crazy." Oliver really did feel bad for snapping at Micah the way he had. It wasn't as though Micah understood that he was correcting Orville Wright on how to look like Orville Wright (besides, Oliver wasn't even supposed to be himself - the moustache was a last minute dare by Wilbur, though it at least gave Oliver an excuse?). None of this would be half so bad if it weren't for the Anti-RSOR, truthfully. If they weren't already on the RSOR's tail... Word count: 723 To: Jez-E with Micah Notes:

the finish line is just around the bend, i’ll pause this game… MICAH SIMMONS ==================================== Micah was a bit frustrated knowing he had hit on something important to Oliver. He both wanted to know more and wanted to let the other boy know he knew nothing. He’d eventually tell him as much if he couldn’t work out what was so strange about Oliver and why he had been so strange on Halloween. Micah could tell there was more to this than he knew, but he had no idea how much more. He just wished it was more apparent.
The irony was that Micah didn’t care about what RSOR was or even Anti-RSOR. He was apathetic to the whole school club mystery and actually had said on several occasions that the secret was probably just meant to fuck with everyone. Micah hadn’t even been inclined to hunt down what was up with RSOR and yet here he was technically working on just that without realizing that they were one in the same. It had had learned that Oliver’s issue related to the whole of RSOR he’d have laughed and dropped it almost instantly. Talk about Ironic.
Micah made note of the name badge and wasn’t in the least surprised that Oliver had a job. Micah should technically get one, but his parents told him he didn’t have to till he was 16 and that meant more time for video games right now. Micah was good with that! He loved his video games. ”Where do you work? I mean, you are not technically legal to handle cash because of your age so that limits the number of jobs. I would say that leaves grocery store bagger, or working in a department shelving, Bowling alley porter or mechanic, Cleaning in any of the various businesses in town, Dish washer, cook in a restaurant or kitchen, but not fast food, seeing as they handle cash and food usually. Judging by the state of your clothes and that you are not in a uniform I can rule out Grocery store and any larger business. So that leaves small business cleaning or a bowling alley...”
Micah did a skim over of Oliver, taking in his clothes and more importantly the state of his clothes. ”Okay not cleaning and that rules out Porter as well…Bowling Alley Mechanic?” Micah asked…then gestured to his pants ”Grease…” He added with a smile. Grease could appear to be many things and not simply grease so he had still required narrowing it down. Micah had walked Oliver through his reasoning though he’d have done it much quicker in his head if he’d done that instead. ”You must be exceptional to be hired on as a mechanic at a bowling alley. Not often they are willing to hire a 14 year old for jobs like that…” Micah continued, not waiting for an answer. Micah shrugged a moment at the locked out comment. ”I forgot it when I went to pick this up, “ He motioned to the bag next to him. ”Mortal Kombat. And it ticks me off, I left World of Warcraft Running on my Desktop and Atlantica running on my Laptop. I just hope neither of my characters get pwned while I am gone. Atlantica will be fine, I was in Rome anyways…but WoW I am not so sure.” He commented, appearing genuinely concerned for his WoW Avatar. Micah glanced down at the sketch than back up at Oliver before taking it and skimming it over, his Gameboy once again placed on the bench next to him. He skimmed it over in more detail this time, and it helped that it wasn’t upside down. ”Okay so do you select the number of Sugars and Creams? Also what if someone likes milk? And I suggest working in temperature settings if you ever get to it. When I have coffee it’s always way too hot and I have to wait a while for it cool before I can drink it, which isn’t great in the morning.” Micah suggested, handing the plans back. Micah didn’t even think twice about the complexity of the designs as they made sense to him. He was above average intelligence and therefore understood things easier than most, but he also didn’t notice others wouldn’t understand that diagram. It was like assuming because you could read 4 novels a day that everyone else can. You just don’t think about it because it comes so naturally to you. Micah smiled, ”If you manage to pull it off I’d like the plans to build my own if you don’t mind,” Micah asked, hoping the other boy would share. He liked building things too he just wasn’t as amazing the design process. Micah thought too practically and had a hard time predicting what others would like in place of just what he’d like. So inventing would never really be in his future when it came to consumer goods. Video games he understood the market though… Micah’s mind stopped a moment when Oliver apologized for the Amusement Park. ”It’s alright. I should have just kept my mouth shut about your costume…” Micah added, shrugging as if to say “too late now”. He didn’t say any more on the topic, not realizing that Oliver was hoping for more information on what had occurred that night. To add another dose of irony to it, Oliver was specifically keeping the fact that his own secret was directly related to RSOR from Micah out of fear that Micah would pry that much harder at the realization. And who, really, could blame him? Everyone else who wanted to pry into his business (and succeeded) was in Anti-RSOR. Oliver barely knew Micah. For all he knew, he could be another Kodi, ready to twist everything that he said and run along to report it to Tamara and Errol. Oliver as of this point remained unaware that there were even any others involved with Anti-RSOR...or that his own past sister was in deep as a spy for RSOR. Still, he knew the possibility that others were out there, and he had to regard Micah with his guards up. He was about to answer Micah's question as to where he worked when Micah started to answer the problem on his own terms. Oliver watched with his eyebrow slightly raised and a bemused expression on his face as Micah gradually figured it out on his own. He had to admit, the kid did a pretty good job of figuring it out based on the clues that he'd given. ...and that in itself was worrisome. Just what kind of clues did Micah have as to Oliver's true identity? Did he have enough to figure things out? He knew that there was one normal out there who knew, and that thus far, she hadn't caused any problems. Maybe Micah would be one of those, if he did figure it out. But what if he wasn't? What if he figured it out and went to Anti-RSOR? The thought made Oliver feel almost ill, especially when he was the catalyst for the chain of events. If only he hadn't snapped at Micah... When Micah pointed out the grease on his pants, Oliver made a face. He hadn't even noticed that the grease had ended up there, and the look on his face showed that he was not at all pleased by this development. "Well I'll be throwing these in the wash as soon as I get inside..." He muttered with a slight grin. For a guy who liked to get his hands dirty with all sorts of machinery he sure didn't like to...well, get his hands dirty. He might have to invest in an apron for this life as well. Or just one set of clothes for the bowling alley that he could get as dirty as he wanted without staining his good clothes. That was probably the best course of action. Oliver nodded as Micah began to question him about the coffee machine. "Yes, that was the intent." He smiled, then shrugged at the milk question. "I thought about that, and I could probably just add another setting for that. Shouldn't be too hard." The other suggestion caught Oliver by surprise, though in a pleasant way. "Not a bad idea. I didn't think about adding temperature regulators in. Then again, I don't necessarily have to include a regulator per say...I could just include a digital display that reads out the temperature of the coffee." Oliver's mind was already reeling, and he half wanted to run up to his dorm and play around with a few ideas until the cows came home. However, he didn't want to appear rude. "What are you playing?" He questioned the other boy upon seeing that he was playing a game. Oliver didn't play too many video games, but he was still curious, and wanted to know the answer. Oliver looked a little more hesitant when the other boy asked if he could borrow the plans, then, after a moment's deliberation, shrugged. "I think that could be arranged. I could even stop by and give you a few pointers if you'd like." While in some aspects it might be a good idea to get help from someone who'd built the thing before, it would probably be best for Micah if Oliver wasn't involved. He'd likely try to take control of the project. There was, as yet, only one person who truly complimented him in his endeavors, and anything the two made together was usually better than what either one of them could make themselves. Which wasn't to say they weren't talented of their own w(right), but...they complimented each other almost perfectly. After Micah responded to his apology, Oliver waited several seconds, as if expecting Micah to say more. When he didn't, Oliver was just a tad frustrated, as he had no further insight as to what Micah thought of the whole encounter. Obviously he was willing to give off the illusion that he would just sweep it under the carpet, but it bothered Oliver that he might not know the whole story. Regardless, Oliver could not resist his next quip. He wasn't entirely sure if it was the best thing to stay, but it ensured that they stayed on the subject, and didn't seem too dangerous. "You missed one important thing, actually. My eyes are brown. They should have been blue." Oliver grinned a little. Well, it only made sense that he had the last word on this issue. Orville Wright knew more about Orville Wright than Micah Simmons. That was just a fact. Even if Micah wasn't privy to the whole story. the finish line is just around the bend, i’ll pause this game… MICAH SIMMONS ==================================== Micah had been blissfully unaware of Oliver’s reactions to his deductive reasoning. Micah’s strengths lay in concrete evidence and he wasn’t quite so great with social ques. He did however know very well how to read emotions from people’s faces. He had read up on micro-expressions after watching Lie to Me on television once. He had been intensely interested in the science of it and had indulged at length. He wasn’t good at it necessarily but it helped with his interpretation of standard human expressions. Though, he had yet to see a proper micro-expression. Something about them being too fast to catch without practice?
Micah hadn’t intended to make Oliver worry however with his deductions. Micah was very good at putting one and two together given the time. But the thing Oliver had in his own ball court was that Micah wasn’t a believer in soft ideas that were not presented to him with evidence. So the idea of reincarnation hadn’t even passed into Micah’s mind and probably never would. He was logical and reincarnation was illogical in the eyes of science and reason. He had no proof and as a result reincarnation was fiction to Micah and always would be. This made Oliver and RSOR’s secret safe from Micah’s mind. No matter how he looked at the facts.
Micah had no idea what was going through Oliver’s head, but he also had no outward hints that were big enough for him to catch onto. ”Oh? I get grease on clothes all the time so I just wear my old Spiderman over-shirt when I am working on anything. I don’t care so much about my pants. My t-shirts are more important…”
Micah explained. His wide collection of superhero shirts was valuable to him. He couldn’t help it if he was attached to them…they were after all his only visual display of his comic book fandom. Well that and costumes when he chose to dress up. Micah nodded at Oliver’s responses to his suggestions. ”That’s true. A Digital display does help with the whole burning my tongue thing. But I would seriously love a coffee maker that I could choose the water temperature.” Micah said with a shrug. It wasn’t his coffee maker so it was up to Oliver what he wanted to do with it. In fact, Micah was still heavily interested in the plans. He just hoped Oliver was going to share them later. Micah paused a moment then glanced down at his game as Oliver asked what he was playing. ”It’s Zelda Ocarina of Time. I love this game…I played it religiously on N64. The new version is much more entertaining on master mode but when I want to casual game I just play it on normal modes…” Micah explained, a smile breaking his face as it usually did when he thought about gaming. Micah loved video games to his core, what could he honestly do about that? And it distracted him almost completely from what he had already worked out as suspicious about Oliver. Micah smiled widely as Oliver agreed to let him borrow the plans when he was done with them. The offer for pointers was more than Micah could have hoped for. ”Awesome! That’s really great of you. Thanks!” Micah said very honestly. Micah didn’t realize that Oliver might take over the project but to be honest, Oliver might find Micah had more than enough push for control to combat it when he wanted to. Micah was pondering over the possibilities the coffee maker would offer when Oliver mentioned the eye colour of Orville Wright and himself by comparison. Micah paused, raising an eyebrow a moment and thought to himself for about 30 seconds before answering. His mind was trying to recall Orville’s visual and more importantly his eyes. He for some reason could remember seeing a coloured photo of Orville. ”I am fairly certain I didn’t know that. All I’ve seen is black and white photos so colour is a lot harder to distinguish though it can be estimated by shades. His eyes are lighter in photos so I’d have to agree that blue is a possible colour. I guess I did miss that,” Micah said with a smile. He found the topic coming to that was amusing. But once again he didn’t expand more than that. He had no idea how frustrating that was for Oliver.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Oliver Winchester •• •• Words • 733 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "Mario Kart Love Song" by Sam Hart ••

If Oliver and most of the people he associated with and cared about weren't in the state that they were in, he probably wouldn't consider it as a possibility either. However, he was in the midst of the situation, living it, and thus he was afraid that Micah (or someone else) might indeed stumble into something that they shouldn't. It might have been a bit on the paranoid side, but one had to be that way at times. It was the nature of the secret of RSOR. Oliver smiled when he heard Micah's solution for the greasy clothes problem. "I used to wear an apron over my clothes. I haven't done so recently, but I think I may start again." Or, like Micah, set aside a set or two of clothing for when he was working on a particularly messy project. He took into consideration what Micah had to say about the water temperature as well. It would be nice to have a say over what temperature you wanted your coffee at, wouldn't it? "I'll see what I can do." It complicated the design, but if anything that caught Oliver's attention even more. Oliver's mind weas reeling, and if one looked into his eyes they could practically see the gears turning as Oliver worked out various ideas in his head. He might even bounce a few ideas off of Wilbur. Wilbur was usually good at seeing any flaws in his designs, and vice versa. Oliver listened as Micah explained a bit about the video game that he was playing. Fortunately, Oliver was not completely in the dark when it came to the Legend of Zelda, although Oliver was not known for playing too many video games. He'd certainly heard of it though, and had even played it a couple of times. It was clear that this kid was an expert, though. ...this kid. Who happened to be his age physically. He really needed to kick that habit before he accidentally blurted something out that he wasn't supposed to. "I take it you've been playing a long time then, if you can play master mode." Again, Oliver didn't play too many video games, but he was aware enough to realize that master mode was likely the hardest level you could play, especially given that Micah mentioned 'normal' modes for casual gaming. Oliver grinned as Micah thanked him for the offer to give him a few pointers. "No problem. Just as long as you can keep up with me." The tone was teasing, but there was a bit of truth in it. The fact remained that Micah was a normal (albeit a very intelligent one), and Oliver was a reincarnate who just so happened to have several inventions under his belt, one of which changed the face of travel in the twentieth century. He was usually rather modest, but he also realized that he was capable of more than most his physical age. All reincarnates were in their respective fields. Needless to say, Oliver did not need to look at a colored photograph of Orville Wright to know that Orville had blue eyes. He'd looked at those eyes in the mirror every day in his past life. Fortunately, he also knew well enough that his eye color had been published in various sources, so he wouldn't have to rely on telling Micah the true reason why he knew Orville's eye color. "Yes, well, I don't think there's many colored photographs out there." Actually, Oliver was pretty sure there weren't any colored photographs of him prior to 1948. Now, in this life, it was a different story. In fact, the only black and white photos of himself that Oliver knew of in this life were yearbook photos. Try as he might, Oliver could not hide the somewhat smug smile that came across his face as he realized that he'd caught Micah off guard...and that this was something that Micah had not know. Oliver did not even need to descend into more detail, into things that would be far more strange to have the knowledge of (and therefore put his status in danger). Yes, Oliver was quite satisfied with this turn of events, even if it hadn't quite yielded the results he wanted. "So, do you want me to drop by your dorm at some point?" Word count: 754 To: Jez-E with Micah Notes: Nada

the finish line is just around the bend, i’ll pause this game… MICAH SIMMONS ==================================== Micah couldn’t help the smile that flitted onto his face when Oliver mentioned wearing an apron. He always thought of aprons more as something for cooking but thinking about it one couldn’t hurt when doing other messy tasks. But Micah preferred his Spiderman over-shirt. It was pretty, light weight, comfortable and Spiderman!! Who didn’t love Spiderman?
”I never thought of an apron. Do you think that they come in super hero prints?”
He asked with a wide grin. ”I guess video game prints work too…” He added as an afterthought. That was pretty much where Micah’s brain was most of the time, thinking about video games or comic books; but more particularly, ways to duplicate powers and technologies found in them. Micah grinned when Oliver mentioned seeing what he could do. Micah didn’t want to say it out loud, but to him it was just a glorified coffee maker. Coffee makers often had the same settings on them and what Oliver was doing was just making one that had all the best features and a few small add ons. But that was what evolved technology after all, so who was Micah to bash it. To be honest, Micah wanted to put a timer on one so it made coffee for him just in time for his alarm every morning. Now THAT was a good idea. He kept that idea to himself however. Micah grinned from ear to ear when Oliver mentioned his playing of Legend of Zelda. ”Well anyone can play master mode if they beat the normal mode. But I have been playing it religiously since I got my first console system. I even doubled back for the older systems so I could play it. I got the Gamecube first, so I played them on there and had to hunt down an NES, SNES and N64. Not to mention all the handhelds. Thank god for pawn shops! Either way…Master Mode is basically Ocarina of Time mirror imaged. The enemies are changed up so it isn’t predicable as the old game, and the enemies do double the damage they did in the original. Makes things that much harder, especially at the beginning when all you have are three hearts. Took me three tries to beat Gannon at the end too.” Micah explained. He didn’t know how much Oliver knew about it, but the way he spoke about Micah’s gameplay suggested the other boy at least didn’t have the 3DS version. Micah also suspected Oliver didn’t really play it himself, even without the other saying so. Micah felt a smirk play across his face. ”I am sure I can keep up just fine.” Micah said with amusement on his face. He didn’t really think about how strange it was that Oliver knew stuff that no normal kid should know at that age. But Micah did realize he had someone he could talk to who was intelligent enough to have decent conversation with. It wasn’t often he got to talk tech with anyone, even if right now it was merely theory. Micah let the Orville Wright topic go but logged away the remark for deeper thinking later. It felt like Orville Wright was a touchy subject for Oliver and was this almost like a come back to his previous remarks on Orville’s costume? He let it go for now…later! Later he could think about that. ”Yeah, that would be awesome. I am in dorm 413,” Micah offered. He also paused a moment glancing at the stuff he did have. ”I’d give you my number but I don’t have any paper with me,” He added with a shrug. ”Do you have your phone on you? I could either text you or you can just add me into your phone” Micah offered, pulling out his own cellphone.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Oliver Winchester •• •• Words • 633 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "Mario Kart Love Song" by Sam Hart ••

Oliver couldn't help but grin at Micah's question. Did aprons come in superhero prints? "I would assume that they do." They did, after all, have a large market to cater too, and he was sure that someone out there had decided to pursue personalized aprons. "I just had a blue one myself, but I'm sure they have a wide variety out there, especially nowadays." Oliver realized almost instantly after saying this that the last couple of words of his statement might seem a bit odd, but he was also well aware that drawing more attention to it would only make it worse, and thus he simply let it drop. The coffee maker was a machine, and thus Oliver was automatically interested in it. No matter how small the project, tinkering and inventing was a passion of Oliver's, and he could almost always find enjoyment. In reality, he would enjoy the act of tinkering with the coffee maker more than the rewards, most likely. It wasn't like he could work on much else at the moment without arousing suspicion. Even the remote control cars that he and Nate modified and turned into remote control planes weren't safe. It was, after all, a combination of Errol discovering one of such devices along with Tamara's nasty habit of eavesdropping which almost brought his true identity into light. In fact, it didn't almost bring his true identity to light - It did bring his true identity to light. The Anti-RSOR just didn't know what to do with it, or what it meant. Most normals didn't, which was a blessing in disguise. Forget working on some of the larger projects that Oliver had in mind... As Micah explained in elaborate detail the game that he was playing, Micah noted the passion and knowledge in his voice. Video games were clearly a passion to Micah, and although Oliver did not play many video games himself, he could certainly respect that sort of passion. If Micah wasn't a normal, this might have even been the start of a great friendship... Hell, it still might be. Though Oliver was well aware that he couldn't get too close, nor did he really want to. It just wasn't safe. Oliver returned Micah's smirk. "That's good. I like to hear that." He'd said something similar to an overeager student on the way over to the man's first flying lesson. Whether Micah would truly be able to keep up remained to be seen, but Oliver knew that Micah very much had merit in his own right, and regardless of how well Micah was truly able to keep up, Oliver knew that at the very least he'd found someone else that he could discuss mechanics with. Wilbur was always his number one go to guy, and that would never change, but hey, he'd befriended other inventors too! Oliver didn't plan to make it easy for Micah, however...the grin took on an almost devilish gleam. Micah provided him with the number for his dorm, and Oliver filed that information away for future use. He was certain that it would come in handy. He did not, however, supply Micah with the number for his own dorm. It wasn't safe, not with what he and Will had lying around...and especially not now that Angelo joined them in their dorm. Micah might not have been outwardly affiliated with Anti-RSOR, but Oliver did not want to risk it. Even if he wasn't connected to Anti-RSOR in any way, he was still a normal. Watching as Micah displaced his phone from his pocket, Oliver retrieved his own phone. "My number is 422- 8326. What is yours?" Oliver replied with a smile. He would have handed Micah his phone to allow the other boy to put his number in himself, but Oliver did not trust Micah with his phone. His fellow RSOR members would likely agree that this was the best course of action. Fortunately, most normals would also agree that it wasn't exactly wise to hand over something as valuable as a cell phone to a mere acquaintance, so Oliver figured he was pretty safe in that regard. Word count: 712 To: Jez-E with Micah Notes: Feels kinda like this is nearing it's end, lol.
