i’m gonna run right to, to the edge with you
…i’m on the edge of glory and i’m hanging on a moment of truth."

Height: 5’3
Weight: 130 lbs
Eye Color: Blue
Hair Color: Blond
Build: Well-muscled, but thin
Scars: Plenty of minor scars
Piercings/Tattoos: And African Lion Tribal Tattoo located on the back of his left calf.
Personal Style: He wears whatever he fancies. But he likes more particularly toques and scarves all year, t-shirts, usually name brand ones and jeans. His shoes vary from large boots, converse shoes and occasionally flip flops in the summer. Lucien is comfortable in dressier clothes too because of the past. He appears fussy about his clothes during down time; for example when he is getting ready in the morning. But once he is out and about he couldn’t give a rat’s ass.
Appearance: Lucien has a sharp and defined jaw, a low yet rounded chin, smaller cheekbones but still defined ones and a slightly larger than average nose. His nose is blub like and thins out at the bridge. The size of his nose makes his eyes appear smaller but they are actually properly proportioned to his face. Lucien has dazzling blue eyes that darken when he gets angry or he is strongly concentrating on something. His lips are also quite long and are moderate in width. His mouth is slightly larger than expect proportionately with regard to his face’s shape and structure.
Lucien’s build is thin to moderate at first glance. His clothes help disguise the muscle underneath but Lucien is very intent on remaining fit and in his best functional shape. Underneath it all he is well muscled and very healthy. His body has a lack of fat on it, though not so little body fat so as to be unhealthy and his strength is more notable when he bends his arms/legs or strains to do something physical. If not for those moments he’d appear like just another scrawny/nerdy kid.
HOPE AND HORROR
MIXED IN BLOOD
Likes: Playing games, getting people riled up, messing with people, pranks, a challenge, competition, strategy games, Risk, Chess, Checkers, Backgammon, League of Legends (LoL), dancing (even if he isn't great at it), hot weather, long walks, hiking, off roading, dirt biking, getting into trouble, irritating/pissing off teachers, political games, mind games, bullying bullies, teasing, being teased.
Dislikes: Too much seriousness, apathetic people, people who don't get irritated easily, serious detentions, Fantasy games, console games, idiots on LoL, stiffs, pencil pushers, cold weather, snow, winter, loud noises (unless he is expecting them), bullies, teachers who see through his intentional antagonizing, losing.
Dreams: Join the Military again, Mess some people up, Die young and leave a gorgeous corpse (dying old and leaving a gorgeous corpse is also acceptable).
Fears: Dying of disease, a long drawn out death, Letting friends, family and country down, clowns.
Habits/Hobbies: Irritating the hell out of people, automatically assuming people he is close with are right in matters including someone he doesn't know, refusing to tell people what they want to know when they ask questions, thinking and considering how valid and important rules are and if he considers them silly or ridiculous he doesn't listen to those rules, dancing where he is sitting when he gets bored.
Secret(s): He doesn’t think he would have mentally been able to handle life in the trenches had he been ordered to the Western Front in his first life. Other than that, he doesn't necessarily keep secrets so much as keep information to himself when people ask for that information in particular.
Personality:
ANTAGONISTIC: Lucien has a great time of antagonizing others. He loves arguing the opposite side, drawing people into conflicts and just all around causing discomfort be it social, political, etc. He will intentionally do what it takes to draw people out, irritate them or make them angry, just by nature. Though, he does know when enough is enough.
BLUNT: Lucien ultimately prefers the truth of matters. If you ask his opinion be ready for the worst because he doesn't usually sugar coat it. He tends to tell things as they are. Well, at least he does when he isn't messing with people and intentionally not answering the questions. Lucien would rather someone tell him they hate him then pretend to be his friend. He prefers to know where he stands and he respects a honest enemy over a dishonest friend.
CHARISMATIC: Lucien is very charismatic. He has a natural charm that isn't faked in any way, though he does often use it as a tool when he needs to. He draws people to him naturally and part of it is he knows what to say and when to say it, while still remaining honest and truthful.
CLEVER: Naturally he is very clever and witty when you consider who he was. Lucien has a knack for figuring things out, even if he isn’t super intelligent when it comes to academics. He is able to think on his toes and come up with very unorthodox ideas with ease. He is a very quick thinker and tends to use this cleverness for all the wrong reasons in this life. He’s got nothing better to do after all.
CONFIDENT: Lucien knows what he is and what he isn’t. He is extremely self-aware and confident in his abilities. He has a past where he didn’t fail at what he did. He had been an excellent General and achieved amazing things, so why shouldn’t he be confident? He knows what he is capable of and many men in today’s world couldn’t have done the things he did. Though, he is tempered enough not to think himself above others, making what could have been arrogance into just raw confidence.
CONFRONTATIONAL: Lucien doesn’t avoid conflict, he embraces it. If he feels you have a problem with him, he confronts you. If he has a problem with you, he confronts you. If he doesn’t like you he says so. He’d rather confront his problems than run away. He faces things as they are with little fear of the thoughts of others and the judgements of others. He’d rather clear the air now then brood over something.
FRIENDLY: Lucien is a social and friendly guy. If you can get past his blunt nature and all the jokes, pranks and irritating quirks he is very easy to get along with. Okay, so there are a lot of quirks, but Lucien wants friends and he does make a conscious effort to have friends. He will talk to almost anyone and as long as you don’t take things personally he can be a great friend to have.
FUN LOVING: He likes to have fun!! Who doesn’t? A little alcohol here and there, a little party there and a little bit of messing around over here. He just wants to have a good time and enjoy himself. If anything, war taught him that life is something to live and have fun doing it cause you never know when it’s going to be over. He just wants to be happy and that means a little fun every now and then…or more than that if possible.
LOYAL: You will not find someone more loyal. Lucien is extremely loyal and he will do anything for someone he trusts and is close to. He would break them out of jail if that was what was needed of him. He is so completely loyal that in the face of arguments or he saids/she saids he would side with a friend over anyone else. He trusts like there is no tomorrow but once that loyalty is betrayed it is damn hard to get it back.
REBELLIOUS: Lucien is a rebel! He cares for authority but picks and choses which rules to follow. He discovered that rules, demands and orders are all susceptible to analysis that may find them not as compelling as initially thought to be. He respects rules as guidelines but often breaks particular rules because he considers them unnecessary or ridiculous. This tends to get him in quite a bit of trouble.
RESOURCEFUL: He is super resourceful, making use of his surroundings and whatever it is he finds laying around at any given time. Lucien is able to live off the land if he needs to and his cleverness largely plays into this as he is great at improvising one tool for whatever is available. He is just over all very good at thinking on his toes.
SARCASTIC: Who doesn’t love a little sarcasm? Sarcasm irks people. It can be funny or annoying, and it tends to always have a snarky undertone. Lucien has a sense of humor and his favourite way to express it is with sarcasm. Sarcasm is also an awesome tool for antagonizing people as no one likes to be mocked and sarcastically made fun of. Teasing is also easier with Sarcasm. So Lucien loves sarcasm.
STRATEGIC: This is a given. Lucien can pick his words so meticulously when he needs to. He is able to analyze a situation and work out how to best act in any given situation. He thinks in terms of several steps ahead, even when in normal situations. It’s just something that has plagued his thinking for some time. He thinks in terms of what benefits him and those he is close to and how best to protect them. He also is ridiculously good at strategy games, much like any other reincarnated warlord or military official who succeeded in their goals and conquests.

History: Cassie Sharp wanted to have children at a younger age than she ever did. She had been pressing her husband who wanted to live a little first. It was a huge issue for the couple, as Daniel was afraid to have children. So it was no surprise that Lucien was an accident. Cass had given up on the idea of having children and Daniel was still scared to, even if his wife felt she was ready. That was when Cass started to notice the signs and she went to the doctor.
For the two of them, the news was shocking. For Cass it was pleasant and for Daniel mortifying. The difference in opinion caused the small problem to amplify and be a much larger problem. As a result, Cass moved in with her parents and the couple separated for a time.
Daniel didn’t hear much from Cass until that horrible and wonderful winter night. Cass’s father called Daniel to alert him that Cass was at the hospital having the baby and Daniel couldn’t resist the pull to be there. Everything changed when the baby boy was there for Daniel to see. Lucien looked just like his father from the start and Daniel’s instant attachment changed his entire opinion on the whole problem and he apologized profusely. Cass had been waiting for that moment and immediately moved back into their home.
Lucien grew up happy with both of his parents and though his mother loved him dearly, no one loved him more than his dad. Lucien was the son any father wanted. He was adventurous, athletic and interested in all the stereotypical manly things that Daniel hoped his son would be into. But as Lucien grew he lost all interest in general athletics and wanted to do more hunting, hiking, biking and archery. He became more interested in military campaigns, history and war. Daniel couldn’t explain the strange change, but he accepted it and at least his son had another interest the two could explore together.
Lucien’s brother who was born just under a year later was his opposite and didn’t connect as well with their father or Lucien. Lucien’s little brother was intelligent, particular and a fussy child. He and Lucien were always fighting over this or that and the two boys never really connected efficiently. Part of it was Lucien had a knack for antagonizing his brother and getting the smaller boy into trouble.
Grandpa Adam was always a close influence in Lucien’s life. The man was a wealth of knowledge and had gone through his life as a university professor of history. Grandpa Adam was full of stories to tell and was part of what inspired Lucien’s interests, and perhaps could even be considered partially responsible for Lucien starting to make connections between the past and present memories he had, but failed to differentiate much for most of his life.
You could say Lucien always knew who he was in ways, or at least he knew he had memories of a life very different from this one. He just couldn’t explain the feelings he had and the knowledge he had in terms people could understand. His father remained baffled at Lucien’s knowledge of battle and strategy, though Lucien could no more explain it than his father could. He just acted as if he learned it somewhere…though he wasn’t so sure his father would believe him if he explained where, or if he knew where.
With time Lucien remembered all he needed to know in his opinion and he didn’t have a reason to search for himself when he already knew his name was Lettow-Vorbeck, his other mother called him Paul. He knew he was a General and remembered being addressed as such. He just couldn’t explain how he knew who he was, if he even was that person whose life he remembered…or how he had been that person.
Lucien asked his Grandfather questions about various names that came up in his memories. A lot of them his Grandpa didn’t know. The ones he did were names like Falkenhayn or Kaiser Wilhelm (which Lucien later realized he recalled references of Kaiser Wilhelm as referring to Kaiser Wilhelm II). Grandpa Adam asked no questions as to where Lucien was getting the names from and just answered his questions as he asked them. Often Lucien wondered if his Grandpa knew more than he let on though…
Lucien became a problem child in mid-elementary school. His respect for authority appeared to have vanished, or so his parents thought. Lucien started questioning the world around him and analyzing it, making his own choices about what rules to follow and which to ignore. He started focusing on having more fun and less on achieving. He started to pull away from his family and practically broke his father’s heart in the process. Lucien had started to stand alone on his own feet and he was taking some time to try to understand himself. He needed the space. Though he always made time for Grandpa Adam.
When Lucien got into searching for himself and trying to understand himself more educationally in grade 8, he read more extensively about the very memories he had been seeing his whole life and the knowledge set he had known his whole life. He knew to google his name, having remembered it in various memories and even been told basically about Paul von Lettow-Vorbeck by his grandfather. He still couldn’t explain things until the term Reincarnation came up in a school philosophy class. He had asked his teacher more and more questions about theories of Reincarnation and started to understand how maybe his memories of a past life could be possible.
The next step was asking his grandfather about reincarnation and if he thought it was possible. His grandpa always had the answers after all. When his grandfather jumped around the question, saying it had never been proven but was quite possible, Lucien approached his father. His father wrote it off as impossible and his mother insisted it was more than possible. The mixed responses led Lucien to accept that maybe he was living proof it was possible. But he couldn’t be completely sure.
Lucien started to warm back up with his family over the summer, but his parents were very concerned with his behaviour. His father was too pleased to have his loving son back to care too much about it but his mother was more than a little concerned. Grandpa Adam explained that he was a growing boy and he just needed to figure out what he needed. He explained he was confused and that he had just the idea for what could help Lucien understand himself.
Grandpa Adam introduced Riverdale High as the school he attended as a child. It was just one town over and it was a place Grandpa Adam insisted that Lucien would fit in. He couldn’t stress how much he wanted his grandson to go there and as Lucien heard his grandfather’s desires for his education he too started to insist he wanted to go to Riverdale High. It was decided shortly after that he would room there instead of commute so he could get the “complete experience” (as Grandpa Adam put it). Lucien was off to Riverdale.
He spent his first year messing with the population and generally harassing RSOR. He wanted to know their big secret and was extremely insistent that they let him into the club. Of course he had given them no reason to suspect him as a reincarnate at that point. In his sophomore year he started considering how best to antagonize them better…and it seems that is his current goal.
