What was Tamara supposed to make of Evie's text? She wasn't even 100% certain how Evie found her phone number in the first place. It wasn't as though the two were friends. In fact, they normally got on each other's nerves. So why did Evie send Tamara a frantic sounding text? Then again, it was hard to read emotion through a few lines of text. There was also the chance that Evie was trying to lure her into some sort of trap. Errol echoed her sentiments, and urged her not to take her key with her to the meeting. Tamara didn't need telling twice - Her key remained safely within her purse in her dorm. Neither her sister nor Mira knew where it was located, which was for the best, as they were both RSOR members. Tamara did, however, bring one extra item to the fray. She had a tape recorder hidden within the pocket of her shorts. If this was a trap, Tamara wanted to have something to use against Evie, to perhaps get her into trouble. If it wasn't a trap, then she may very well not use it. Still, the junior knew from experience that she had to be prepared in situations like this. Errol had only gotten away from the RSOR with his key by a matter of luck (and a well placed key hidden near his crotch). Yet Evie, an RSOR member, admitted that she had a key, and was proposing a meeting between herself and Tamara, a well-known and key Anti-RSOR member. A member of a group who would do damn near anything to get their hands on as many keys as possible. There was obviously something to this. Tamara could not just let it pass. She just couldn't let herself be tricked either. Not without putting up a fight. She lingered outside the dorm for a moment or so before rapping at the door a few times. She could only hope that Evie was smart enough to clear her out her roommates before inviting Tamara over. If Tamara caught one sight of Chelsea, she'd turn around instantly. While she didn't have any outward problems with Chelsea, the fact remained that Chelsea was well-known RSOR, and if Evie wanted to talk to Tamara about such matters, they'd do it one on one. Tamara wasn't about to find herself trapped in a dorm unmatched. Some of these RSOR members could be downright dangerous! Tamara reached into her pocket to make sure that the recorder was still there, and that there were no wires peaking out as she continued to glance at the door. This had better not be for nothing... This was not a proud moment of Evie's life so far. She couldn't stand Tamara and yet she was letting this girl come to her dorm so she could sell the key that she had found for money. Not just money. Drug money. In doing so she was, for lack of better words, selling out RSOR itself and her friends that belonged there to a bunch of nosy, arrogant wankers with no respect for peoples privacy. Really, she was no better than the lot of them when one thought about it...in fact she was possibly worse. She was being sneaky, calculating and her intentions in the long run were pretty cruel. She wondered what Freya, her best friend in the whole damn world, would say if she ever found out what she was about to do. The very thought made a lump rise in her throat. She was selling out her best friend. And a whole load of other people who didn't deserve this. And yet she didn't do anything to stop what was about to happen. Her phone remained on her nightstand.
A sharp rap brought her to her attention straight away. It took a few moments for her to get her bearings and stand. She wasn't drunk or high but the way she was carrying herself and acting made it obvious that she had had a pretty heavy session the night before. With Freya. The lump rose again and she quickly made her way to the door before she locked herself in the bathroom and waited for Tamara to leave. Again it was a few moments for her to open the door as her fingers fumbled along the chain trying to grip onto it. She opened the door leaving a small gap in which she poked her head out. No hello's, no how are you's. Best to get this sort of thing over and done with quickly. "You are alone aren't you?" The way she talked to Tamara was with a great air of snobbery. And it wasn't even the fact she had been a queen in her past life. She just didn't like the girl.
Admittedly, it was obvious she was on her own, so she held the door open not even waiting for an answer, and waited for Tamara to step over the threshold, before looking back out of the room and then shutting the door quickly behind her. Evie manouvered herself so that she stood behind the kitchenette counter and Tamara stood on the other side. Her hand reached into her pocket and pulled out a silver key, which she placed on the counter and moved it towards Tamara, always keeping eye contact with her, never smiling.

When one had nothing to lose, it wasn't that hard to go to great lengths to get what one wanted. That was the boat that most of Anti-RSOR happened to fall into. The three major players (four if you included Alison, who was actually a spy for RSOR, though the other three thankfully remained oblivious about that) were kept on the outskirts, and therefore did not have to worry about what they had to lose if they played dirty. Evie, on the other hand, was in an entirely different boat. She had everything to lose. She was in RSOR, and in a pretty safe spot within the club as well. She was known as a member, but it wasn't as prominently displayed as with others. Yet here was Evie, doing something completely risky. Of course Tamara wanted to find out why. Was this too good to be true? In a way, it almost seemed like it. Tamara took Evie's snobbery with a grain of salt. For how much the two hated each other, they were awfully similar. Tamara was no former queen, but she'd been raised in a well to-do family (they obviously had enough to adopt Lenita, an orphaned distant cousin, and then some). She had an air of snobbery to her as well. Plus, the junior did have an important role in Anti-RSOR. She was one of the de facto leaders, along with Errol. Anti-RSOR answered to them. The Wizard was actually a godsend when it came to Anti-RSOR's motives. The more normals questioned the hierarchy in RSOR, the glue that was holding the big secret together, the more they'd drift toward Anti-RSOR. "Of course I'm alone. Are you?" Tamara responded in a tone to match Evie's. She didn't trust Evie anymore than Evie trusted her (which was to say, not at all). It was key that Evie did this on her own, as Tamara did not want to be ambushed by a bunch of RSOR members on her own. Her eyes briefly darted around the room, then stopped back on Evie once more. The coast looked clear, but she still waited for a response from the slightly older girl. Tamara followed Evie over to a counter, watching as the other girl removed a silver key from her pocket and placed it halfway between the two on the counter top. Tamara's eyes widened at this. Another key, literally sitting right in front of her for the taking. Placing one hand on the edge of the counter, Tamara's eyes met Evie's. "What's the catch?" She doubted that Evie was just going to hand over the key, and planned on keeping a close eye on Evie in case this was a trap. Evie already knew that it wasn't wise to trust Tamara. The two didn't get on...in fact it could be said that they hated each other. Especially after Evie almost broke Tamara's nose during a rough game of dodgeball. Cue inward smug smile here. But here Evie was, turning to the one girl that she really didn't want to resort to. It was desperation at its greatest...so desperate that she was willing to put her true identity and the identity of many others on the line just for a few highs. It wasn't only Freya and herself that she was thinking of either. What would Chelsea say? Evie already knew that her younger dormmate did not approve of her lifestyle. If she found out that she had sold out RSOR for even more dangerous kicks, Evie was pretty sure that she would be guillotined again. As for Mark...would he really want to be with someone hooked on such dangerous substances?
Evie was expecting the same sort of attitude from Tamara that she herself was dishing out, so it didn't phase her in the least when Tamara talked to her in exactly the same way. Okay that was a lie. It bugged her, and the irritation showed on her face. If Tamara knew who she was...she'd be bowing down to her. Anyway, back to Tamara's question. Evie motioned behind her to the empty dorm. It was quite clear that she was alone as Chelsea would have most likely been zeroing in on the situation to find out exactly why Tamara was here. "No, I'm alone." As Tamara made her way past she quickly shut and locked the door, hoping that if Chelsea same back to the dorm suddenly then it would give Evie time to put on a show of innocence.
She could tell by the look on Tamara's face that she had her interested. It was a known fact to RSOR that the loss of these keys would excite Anti-RSOR and that everybody involved in the latter club would probably stop at nothing to get their hands on the keys. Another pang in Evie to know that she was helping them get one step closer to their end goal. Then Tamara asked her what the catch was. Evie reached back over to the key and pulled it towards her again, keeping her hand on it. She had let Tamara see it, to make sure that Tamara knew that this exchange was real. And if Tamara didn't agree to what she was about to ask, then she'd have to think of a new person to exchange it with. "The catch? Money." She only said one word but it was enough for Tamara to know that if she didn't hand over the cash, then she would not get the key. She just hoped that she wouldn't start asking awkward questions. The last thing she wanted was for her number one enemy to get this kind of information about her. No doubt Tamara would use it against her.

The feeling was mutual. It was the reason why Tamara did not bring her own key to the party. Again, for all she knew Evie was acting as the bait in a trap set up by the RSOR. She still glanced around the apartment, almost as if expecting someone to jump out of the shadows and force her to give up her key. She was on edge, and it showed. As much attention as was going to her peripherals, though, she almost tried to keep an eye on Evie. Tamara eyed Evie as she hastily locked the door. She was starting to wonder if perhaps she should have brought Errol along, or even Kodi. Then again, Errol's more in your face tactics might have scared Evie off. Kodi, on the other hand...Tamara felt as though Kodi was a wonderful asset to RSOR, and was in many ways a trainee for the organization. Why not bring her in for something like this? Even Alison might not have been a bad idea, although Tamara was fairly certain she'd heard through the grapevine (being an avid follower of the grapevine and all) that Alison and Evie didn't along. When Evie started to pull the key back toward her, Tamara stared at the key, almost as if staring at it long enough would allow her to will the key over to her grasp. Though her eyes were fully on Evie now, her ears were tuned to various noises in the room. If someone was lurking around the apartment, she wanted to know. Sure, it might have been a little overkill, but this was a dangerous game that they were playing. It might have only been high school (though Evie was a reincarnate, so that excuse did not work 100% with the blonde), but both girls were dead serious about the stakes that were involved. This game could get very dirty very fast. Then, Evie revealed the catch. It was a surprising one as well. "Money? How much are you looking for?" She was willing to forgo on her shopping money for the rest of the semester if it meant getting her hands on this key. That was how important it was to her. However, she wasn't going to make the first bid. She wanted to see what sort of money that Evie was looking for first. Why overbid if Evie suggested a low amount? Though Tamara highly doubted it would be that low...this was one of Hanston's highly coveted keys, after all! "And why do you want to sell it? I thought secrecy was RSOR's number one priority?" That was the odd part. Tamara leaned close to the counter, her hands apparently at her sides. What Evie likely wouldn't be able to see through the counter was Tamara subtly pushing the button on her tape recorder to start it. The difference between Evie and Tamara was that whilst Evie could be sulky and snobby, she was still a genuinely nice person when one got beyond that. Tamara was a bitch through and through. It should have been obvious to Evie that this was not a good idea. One way or another, Tamara would come back to bite her on the ass. Hard. In the mindframe that she was in right now this just never occured to her. Why did she have to go and pick up that blasted key?!
She could see it in Tamara's face that the girl before her was extremely uncomfortable and in a way, out of her depth. Whilst her eyes were almost always on Evie, there was no denying that she was sweeping the room at the same time. Obviously she thought that this was some kind of trap. If Chelsea came home now then that would be exactly what it would look like...she counted her lucky stars that the now locked door would give them notice if the younger roommate was to return suddenly. Evie kind if liked Tamara feeling uneasy - it gave her a feeling of control of this situation. She was always ready and on guard though, in case the claws suddenly came out or if it was Evie herself, who was in a trap that Tamara had made.
There was no small talk. Words exchanged between the two girls never went further than insults and whining. They went straight to why Tamara was here in the first place. "Two hundred dollars. Take it or leave it." There was no way that she was prepared to haggle, especially not with this girl. If Tamara wanted this key as badly as she seemed to want it (and Evie could tell how hungry for it that she truly was) then she would have to pay the two hundred and not a penny less. Evie was not prepared to lose out on any cash. She was putting her reputation with RSOR (and her acceptance there) and her reputation with the general student body on the line. She at least wanted to make sure that she got paid off enough for doing so.
Then Tamara just had to go an stick her nose in. Was Evie actually going to tell this girl the truth? Hell no. She could barely talk to Freya about it and there was no way that she could tell Mark or Chelsea the full extent of her problems. Telling this girl that hated her and wouldn't care about hurting her...you have got to be kidding. "It's none of your buisness Tamara. Anyway, haven't you got somewhere to be? I think your mirrors missing you." She couldn't help but take a swipe. Just had to be done. She just wanted to get this girl out of her dorm as fast as possible so that she could start sorting out some sales.
If only Evie had learnt from her past life that money didn't buy happiness...even if it was in the form of illegal drugs.

Thing was, even Tamara wasn't completely a bitch. She had a huge share of character flaws, and definitely played the part of a bitch very well. That said, those who she actually cared about were able to see that Tamara could be nice. She saw no reason to be nice to most of those in RSOR, especially if she did not get along with them from the get go. Tamara and Evie had more in common than either of them wanted to acknowledge (especially where attitude was concerned). Tamara was very uncomfortable. Tamara, in classic form, did not fail to notice that Evie didn't look 100% comfortable with these circumstances either. It made her wish that she'd brought Errol with her after all, or Kodi, but a quick recollection of the recorder in her pocket reminded her that she had a secret weapon. She was not completely defenseless, and she had not come to this meeting unarmed. The price Evie suggested sounded reasonable to Tamara, for a key of such importance. 200 dollars was a heavy chunk of change, but if she met up with Kodi and Errol, showing them the shiny silver key that was still in Evie's clutches...surely they'd be willing to fork out some money of their own. Even if not... "200 dollars? Steep price, but considering the nature of the key, I think it's a reasonable one." She knew better than to haggle. She knew that Evie could withdraw this offer at any time. Evie appeared to be in control at this moment, definitely. What Evie didn't know was that Tamara had a recording now of the going price of RSOR to Evie. 200 dollars. Seemed awfully small for the complicated secrets that RSOR was hiding... Evie's words hit Tamara's ears, and she glared daggers at the blonde. "Yes, well, I suppose we should get this over with if you want your drug money." It was a low blow, and made without any knowledge as to what Evie was truly going to use the money for - which only served to make it worse. Tamara had come to this meeting prepared. She withdrew her wallet from her purse (which remained at her side), turning her wallet so that Evie would not see that Tamara had actually come prepared with more money than Evie suggested. That and she didn't want Evie to use anything against her. Credit cards, her driver's license photo...none of it was safe with Evie around. Tamara was cautious. Finally, she recovered two crisp 100 dollar bills, and presented them to Evie. "I assure you, they're real." Tamara commented in a snide tone, as she wouldn't be surprised if the other girl whipped out a counterfeit check pen to make sure (then again, she'd do the same in Evie's situation). Word count: 482 To: Evie/Ali Notes: I figure she makes the comment, Evie reacts oddly, and then Tamara spots something. ^^

Evie had a two sided personality as well. To people she didn't know she appeared to be quite snobby and high maintenance with her tantrums. To the people that she was friends with she was actually a very sweet girl with a heart of gold...she was just down a bad track. She still talked down to everybody a lot, even to her friends. The only people who truly knew her was her close friends in RSOR...they knew that she had been Marie Antoinette and that she still reverted back to a royal mentality. RSOR had become the only place where she could truly be herself and her past life at the same time. It could even be considered a safe haven for her and she knew for a fact that a lot of the other reincarnates felt the same. It was an awful thing that Evie was doing right now but when it came to her addictions...Evie had no morals.
She was relieved that Tamara accepted straightaway the price that the key was going for. Again, Evie had the feeling of total control in this situation. Little did she know how out of her depth she truly was with Tamara. If she had known that the girl before her had a secret recording device taping the entire exchange...it wouldn't be pretty. Tamara would be lucky to escape without any serious injuries. She could see that the junior was willing to accept the key for this price, so she pushed it back towards Tamara and quickly held her hand out to take the cash. Evie didn't even think about this being the going price of RSOR's secrecy to her. All she cared about was getting her hands on drugs. Evie had to give a smirk at the reaction to her comment.
...And then Tamara just had to go and say that.
Evie quickly looked up at the younger girl, the colour draining from her face. There was panic welling up inside her but she was trying her hardest not to show this...the last thing she needed was for Tamara to start asking awkward questions. She quickly tried to go back to normal again and then laughed it off, but the laugh was different...off. "Drug money? Don't be an idiot! I need it for personal reasons. Got stuff to pay off." The excuse sounded fine but the damage was done with the way that Evie had acted beforehand. Inside she was screaming. Did she know? Who had she got the information from? Did everyone else know what she was up to? It was common knowledge around Riverdale about Evie's drinking and gambling problems...she was pretty sure that it was only her and Freya who knew the extent of her addictions. And it wasn't as if Freya would say anything either...they were best friends and Freya usually joined in on the drug taking. Although for her it was just for fun...it wasn't a need. like it was quickly becoming for Evie.
Tamara handed over the cash and Evie whipped it quickly out of her hands. She just wanted to get this transaction over and done with as fast as possible. It would probably surprise Tamara that Evie didn't even bother checking the notes for signs of fraud...she was too desperate to get her money and to get Tamara out of her dorm. As she took the cash she pushed the key all the way to Tamara. It was hers now. "There's the key. This is staying between us, yeah?" As Evie was talking she was ushering Tamara along towards the door. This girl needed to leave. Right now.

If Tamara knew of Evie's identity, her snobbery would make a lot more sense, yes. Tamara might even come to respect Evie...slightly. Still, the animosity was already there, and regardless of Tamara's knowledge or lack thereof when it came to Evie's full history, it was highly doubtful that these two girls would ever end up becoming friends. Not when they were at each other's throats over something like this. With the key in her grasp, Tamara took hold before Evie could change her mind and slipped the key into her purse. If Evie wanted the key now, she'd have to struggle for it, and Tamara would have evidence of the struggle on tape. The junior was even tempted to stage something just to give off the impression for a sensational story, but even Tamara had her limitations. As long as this conversation remained...as civil as it could be, considering, she might not even reveal the contents of the tape recorder. It was a good bit of gossip, true, but Evie was cooperating with her. That did count for something. Evie's next reaction resulted in a slight change of plans. Had Evie gone a shade or two paler at Tamara's jab? Evie's laugh was even more suspect. It sounded forced and awkward. Tamara had a theory as to why, and decided to voice it. Who would expect Tamara to let a chance this sweet drop, really? "Is it drug money?" An RSOR member on drugs? That would be an interesting story. It really was a wonder that Tamara had not started a gossip column for Riverdale High. Then again, why did she need to when The Wizard was already doing a fine job of that? Tamara had respect for The Wizard, and regardless of who he/she was, if she ever discovered The Wizard's identity she definitely wanted to ask a few questions. To make matters worse for Evie, she started to push Tamara toward the door. "Whoa, what's the major rush?" A few moments before, Tamara would have been in a rush to leave the room herself. Not now, though. Not when she had a juicy bit of information that she wanted to uncover. Her eyes quickly scanned the room as Evie led her toward the door, stopping on what appeared to be a bag of white powder on a table near the door. Tamara's eyes widened and she let loose a chuckle. "If it isn't drug money then what is that white powder on the table, Evie?" She paused at once, standing her ground against Evie's haste for her to leave. She knew that Evie would not react kindly to this, but did not care in the least. This was way too good to drop. Word count: 475 To: Evie/Ali Notes: My hand itches

"Is it drug money?"
There was silence after Tamara asked this. The only sounds that Evie could hear right about now was the birds and wind outside and her heartbeat hammering away rapidly. This was the last person that should be asking her questions of such a volatile nature. The only thing that Evie could think to do right about now was to ignore the question. If she ignored it then surely Tamara would realise that Evie was not going to talk, get bored and leave her to it? How wrong Evie was. She should have realised that Tamara was the sort of person who was not going to give up, even if it turned physical.
...But so was Evie.
It started of innocently enough. Anybody being shoved out of a door who was not nosy and had common sense would take that as a huge hint that they were no longer welcome. Apparently not Tamara. Instead she carried on asking questions, making Evie get more angry by the second. Couldn't this girl keep her nose out of it for once? She still wouldn't talk. There was no way that she would reveal any of this shady side to her to someone she disliked and distrusted so much. She could hardly tell the people she was close to. She was just about out the door when what Tamara asked Evie next caught her off her guard. Shit.
She looked to what was holding Tamara's gaze and froze. How could she be so damn foolish? Only rookies made mistakes like that! Chelsea had been out of the dorm most of the day, leaving Evie free to 'freshen up' without her younger roommate catching her. She knew that Tamara was coming over and yet in her haste to clean up and act normal she had forgotten the most important thing...hide the damn cocaine!! If annoyance at herself hadn't done it, then the snideness and amusement in her voice did. Evie snapped. Like a flash her hand whipped out and grabbed onto stupid Tamara's stupid hair and pulled so that the younger girl was dragged towards her, her head at an angle so that she was looking up at Evie. "If you dare say anything to anybody, I swear to God that I will kill you. I will hunt you down and kill you. You got that? I know people who will fuck you up so bad that you would be begging for death. You want that to happen to you little girl? I hear one peep from you and your dead!" It was said in a quiet, dangerous tone and if one looked at Evie, especially at her eyes (as she was admittedly high right now), she most certainly looked a little deranged right now. If anyone who knew of her true identity as Marie Antoinette right now they would not recognise the kind hearted and sweet queen of France. This girl was almost insane. This girl was high.
With that she pulled Tamara even closer to her and then pushed her away with enough force so that the girl hit the wall opposite the door of Evie and Chelsea's dorm. Looking at the girl was making her feel even more angry that she already was and she could not help but yell her last words. "GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE. YOU HERE ME? GET OUT!" She made sure quickly that Tamara had not left anything behind and slammed the door shut, quickly fumbling to lock the door completely.
