biography

Ađalstein is the world history teacher as well as the world religions history teacher and Riverdale High’s football coach. He’s thirty and currently single. His tastes, though, aren’t restricted to the ladies (even if he’d never admit that he’s finding himself attracted to boys.) He’s Erik the Red’s reincarnated form, so he’s still quite rough around the edges, from being a Viking. You know, pillage and plundering don’t really make for a civilized sort of man…

TO BECOME HIS FRIEND…
is actually rather difficult. In his past life, Ađal’s entire nation was given permission to kill him, and he was murdered by the inhabitants of the country that he came to call his home after moving away from Iceland. He’s somewhat paranoid because of this, though he knows that the chances of an axe to the face are quite improbable, as long as he doesn’t piss off one a reincarnate with an affinity for that sort of weapon. Ađalstein is a partier, though. If you’re interested in your character meeting him and it isn’t through the school, a drunken feast is the next likely place they’d encounter one another. That being said, if you do manage to become his friend, he will stick beside you through even the most difficult of times and you will have quite the formidable force on your side in a fight. Who doesn’t want a six-foot-four Viking warlord fighting for them?

TO BECOME HIS RIVAL…
is a lot easier than becoming his friend most of the time. He’ll stick to his opinions and he doesn’t care if yours is wrong. If he thinks you’re stupid and you constantly show this stupidity, he’ll become irritated with you very easily- and this also goes for students. What bothers him the most, though, is disrespect toward elders. Ađalstein will make the life of a student hell if they disrespect him, his beliefs or the beliefs of others. (Well, except Christians, but he has personal reasons for disliking that particular religion.) If you aren’t a student, chances are he’ll just take you out beside a bar somewhere and beat you either to death or within an inch of your life. He doesn’t forgive easily, so if you do get on his bad side and want to return to his good graces, you have a lot of work ahead of you.

is pretty easy, as long as you’re a girl. Ađal doesn’t do well with long-term relationships, but that’s easily attributed to his first wife’s death. He’s a ladies’ man, and if he’s attracted to you, you’ll know. Trust me, you’ll know. There’s also a little monkey-wrench thrown into his womanizing ways- in this body, Ađalstein is attracted to other men. He doesn’t like this in the slightest, considering it wasn’t exactly popular in the culture he grew up with; it makes him uncomfortable and this is something he’s struggled with his entire life. He’s only ever kissed a boy once, and that was in highschool- it was as far as he’s ever been with a boy. Females will have an easy time catching his eye and getting him to stick around for a little while, and males will have to really, really work at landing him in their bed.

ISABELLA & ADAL
Well, this could be interesting. Isabella is the reincarnation of Joan of Arc, and as a saint, she's quite clearly a Christian. And among the reincarnates, it's a semi-well-known fact she still hears her Voices. So he might hate her on that basis, but if there's any trace of a more civil guy under it, you can damn well bet Isa will try to befriend him. She'd probably think of him akin to one of her rougher -but not more sinister- sorts she'd have dealt with in her past life, so she'd hardly be phased by the 'grrr i'm a viking' thing, even if he did hate her. I can see some interesting stuff going on here, I think...

ISKANDER & ADAL
Iskander is the reincarnation of Saladin, a warrior a touch more behaved than Erik the Red. Hes not a partier but Iskander could be in his class or something. I can see them both ranting about the standard of honor in war, which could be a mutual respect/rantbuddy thing? Granted, Iskander goes under one of the dudes that would have an affinity for anything sharp, axes included.

ERROL & ADAL
Undisciplined, loud, obnoxious Errol (and a normie, btw) would straight-up piss him off. xD Errol respects no one, specially not if they're not musical, though Adal would have points for being a partier.

HAROLD & ADAL
Harold is a senior, normal, and autistic. Adal would scare him to pieces.

[Oliver Lee Winchester]

Oliver and Adal - I don't see them disliking each other, but I don't see them being pals either. Too different, although teaching world history is a plus. Acquaintances on good terms, I'd say.

Chelsea and Adal - This depends greatly on his opinions, since Chelsea's a very opinionated person and doesn't hesitate to let her opinions be heard. So yeah, if he has any opinions that women should stay in the kitchen? They ain't going to get along AT ALL. If he's cool when it comes to that, she'll be cool with him. XD

Tamara and Adal - She'll think he's attractive, but she's also tied for RSOR enemy number 1 with Errol (although Kodi is a close second). So...he'd probably hate her because of that.

Alison and Adal - I don't see much here, really. XD

Felicity and Adal - This one I'm not so sure on. Female teacher, aged 31, probably the two characters we should plot the most out of all of mine. She's intelligent when it comes to her subject, but is eccentric (she's loosely based off of Ms. Frizzle from The Magic School Bus, if that gives you any idea) and somewhat naive. So I don't know if they'd get along or if she'd annoyed him, or if it would be somewhere in between.

Andrea and Adal - She'd probably be a little intimidated by him, but she'd try hard in his classes, if that counts for anything. =P

Zoe and Adal - I don't see too much here. Other than the fact that she, like many of my female characters, will probably find him attractive.

Mark and Adal - He's going to get on Adal's last nerve, I can guarantee it. Troublemaker, known for making smart ass comments and landing himself in detention a lot...not many teachers are gonna like him. =P

Freya and Adal - Dun see much here.

evie & adal; I can see this going two ways. They will either have a good student/teacher relationship because they're both into the party scene...perhaps he can be sympathetic with her troubles with alcohol and drugs and try and give her some help to beat her demons. Or she'd really grate on him because of her attitude to school. If he can keep her interested in class though, she will try. Just ask Ms. Hoffman.
Pluuuus if the French revo came up in class, that would make for some amusing threads XDDDDDD

orestia & adal; See I'm not sure here...she's an idiot, but when it comes to subjects and random things that interest her she is book smart. If he can stimulate her enough with his lectures she will damn well try her hardest and he'd probably respect that. If it didn't then well...she's be irritating for him XD
