"Yes, us. I thought I'd give it a try...I think it sounds pretty good too." Only time would tell just how successful Evie and Mark would be in the long run, but they were certainly hitting it off tonight - And in a far different way than usual. At the very least, even if they didn't work out as a couple, this appeared as though it would be the start of a good friendship. The two were coming to realize that they had far more in common than they thought. Of course, Mark was not a reincarnate, but he did have a hidden life that not many at school knew about. He didn't exactly go around and advertise that his parents were pretty well off, and that his father often had guests over for dinner (usually fancy dinners) and frequently traveled to other countries. It wasn't quite the same as hiding an entire past life, but it had it's similarities. He felt a little odd heading back to Evie's dorm. Normally he could care less about the way people looked at him, but the way some people held their noses up at him, assuming that the only reason he was with Evie was to mess around for one night and forget about it the next day was enough to make him clench his fists slightly. "Take a picture, it lasts longer." He mentioned to one freshman girl in particular, rolling his eyes. He knocked on the door to the dorm. He knew that Evie had the key, but he figured that they should knock nonetheless, lest they walk in on Chelsea running around in her underwear or something. Not that Mark hadn't seen that with Chelsea when she was a little kid, but somehow he had the feeling that she'd reacted a little differently (and more painfully) to his entrance now. To his surprise, though, Chelsea opened the door, turning around and once and grabbing her purse, making to leave. Mark looked over at Evie, then back at Chelsea and shrugged. "I don't mind if you stay Chels. Just don't nag too much." He laughed, all the while holding Evie's hand. Word count: 377 To: Ali/Evie Notes: MEHH

Luckily Evie didn't notice the stares that herself and Mark were receiving or Evie was likely to get the fisticuffs out. Poor Chelsea would then have to open the door to a drunk and bruised Evie rather than just a drunken mess. She did hear Mark mutter something but by the time she had looked over her shoulder to who he was talking to, said person had gone.
Getting her key out was proving to be a difficult task, due to the sight restrictions she was suffering from drinking copious amounts of spirits. She gave up in the end when Mark knocked the door so that Chelsea would answer for them. The door swung open and Evie looked down at her younger dormmate. She could see the look of wariness on her face that she often wore when the senior rolled in after a night out. The wariness slipped from her face and was replaced by what seemed to be shock at the fact that Evie wasn't a total mess and spewing everywhere. Not at the moment anyway. Evie grinned at Mark as Chelsea grabbed a purse and started to head out. She then tagged on something at the end of what Mark had said. "Don't worry Chels...we've come to hang out."
After she said this she slipped past the younger girl, still holding onto Mark's hand, which was different in itself anyway and showed that things had changed between them. Usually one was leading the other - this time they were both moving side by side. She certainly wobbled about, showing that she had had quite a bit to drink, even going so far as to walk into the side of a kitchen counter. Finally she reached the destination of her bed and sat down quickly slipping her heels off and pulling her bag over her head and throwing it onto her bed as well. "How come your back from prom so early? Did you go?" Her tone at the last question sounded slightly worried. Her feelings on prom was negative (and tonight proved to her that she wouldn't step foot in one ever again) but that didn't mean that she would want to see Chelsea sitting around on her own.
Her own experience of prom this year had been pretty shitty. There was a handheld mirror on her bedside which she used to quickly check to see if her hair and make up was still in order. She was surprised to see that there was black marks running down her cheeks, imitating the tears that had been there only a couple of hours ago.

The sophomore did not drink. She felt that drinking was only opening up the doors to plenty of problems. Then again, if one took a look at the girl that she had to share a dorm with, who could blame her? Evie Lefevre wasn't exactly the poster child for drinking responsibly. Evie didn't look 100% sober, but let's face it, when did she? Fact was, she wasn't falling all over the place, and she also hadn't come back to the dorm alone. She'd come back with Chelsea's brother, however. Now, Chelsea knew both her brother and Evie, and it was only natural to assume that they were coming back to the dorm to do something they wanted to do alone. Therefore, she was immensely surprised to hear not only from her brother, but from Evie as well, that they only wanted to hang out. "You...just want to hang out? Seriously? I'm fine with that, but please don't smoke or drink in front of me. You know how I feel about drinking, and...well, smoking's out of the question unless you want me in the hospital." She looked pointedly at Mark with this one, as he would know better than Evie what it meant for Chelsea to have an asthma attack. She had pretty good control over the issue now, but cigarette smoke (or other, less legal forms of smoke) had a high risk of setting her off. Knowing Chelsea, she'd make sure the Simmons parents knew too. She was willing to be easygoing, especially given she was close to both parties in the dorm, but she knew she had to lay down the law before it was too late. The brunette headed over to the small kitchenette to grab herself a soda, then headed back to where her roommate and brother were hanging out. She'd offer them drinks, but honestly, it was her brother and roommate. Evie and Mark were hardly guests - They could treat themselves! When the subject of prom came up, Chelsea grumbled under her breath. "I went. Some guy decided to throw himself all over me despite every hint that I wanted to puke in his face. Came back after that." Too bad she hadn't had a guy worthy of her affections to go with. Anyone but Errol, really. Word Count: 399 To: Ali/Evie (and me with Mark, lol) Notes: Ayup

Watching Evie fumble around with the keys a bit, Mark teetered on offering to help the senior out with this task. Just as he was about to offer a hand Chelsea answered his knock anyway, so it turned out that neither party had to worry. A good thing in the end, as Mark wasn't sober either. He could hold his liquor better than Evie (not only was he male, but he also weighed more than Evie), and he'd had less to drink than Evie, but he still had alcohol in his system, and not a small amount either. Mark shook his head with a grin when he saw how shocked Chelsea was that they just wanted to hang out. "Really Chels? If we wanted to do that we could go to my dorm. Don't think Lex'd care all that much. Such a dirty mind." The junior teased his sister, ignoring the eyeroll that was sure to ensue. His hand was still in Evie's, which was a surefire sign that even though they were just hanging out, there was something going on between these two. It just wasn't lust for once. He decided not to say anything on the prom issue. He had a feeling he knew which friend that Chelsea was talking about, and he honestly felt that both parties needed to lighten up a bit. What Errol did was hilarious, yes, but when it came to his sister, Mark knew when someone was going too far. And Chelsea wasn't one of those people you should go too far with. Though maybe he was more wary of her because he'd had to live with her (and would have to go back to living with her again over the summer, when they were back home at their parents' house). At Chelsea's last nag advice, Mark rolled his eyes but smiled a little. "Oh, don't worry. We already had plenty to drink at the prom. And we don't need to smoke at the moment. If we do, we'll just step outside." Bad idea either way for Mark, as he wasn't of age for cigarettes, and anything else he might smoke wasn't even legal period... It also amused Evie that Chelsea's reaction was one of total surprise. It was perhaps a little insulting that she fully expected Evie and Mark to hook up but could she really be blamed for this thinking? After all it was deffinetly not unheard of for Evie to have random hook up and she knew from hearsay that Mark had had his share as well. She didn't seem to acknowledge the law that Chelsea had been laying down as the older girl did not make one comment. It seemed she was pretty used to it.
She actually felt for Chelsea. She didn't know who she was referring to but from the way that she spoke she assumed it to be someone she couldn't stick. Perhaps Errol? Sure she got on decently with Errol when they agreed on something but if not...well then he was a total douche. She knew that he purposely tried to wind Chelsea up, which got her thinking what he had exactly done tonight to make her so negative about her experience of the prom. "Ugh. That sucky eh? Well never despair, mine was a washout too. That note? Fucking ridicule on my part." She was now in the process of trying to remove her dress and change into something a little more comfortable in a rather dignified manner. She actually managed to achieve this without flashing anything. She was throwing her dress into the wardrobe as she was talking and perhaps slammed the wardrobe door a little too hard which showed off her feelings on the matter. Anger.
As Mark talked to Chelsea some more she then made her way to the kitchenette, picking up her bag as she passed. As Mark was telling Chelsea about the two drinking, there was a great deal of clinking and noise from where Evie stood with her back turned next to the bin. She turned around as she finished disposing of the mini JD bottles. Buuuuut she wasn't done yet. She then proceeded to grab an empty litre bottle that she had hidden under her bed and threw that in the bin too. It was a wonder that the girl wasn't passed out for the night. Although if one was too look at her eyes they would be able to see that she had the classic drunk look and that at times she was having a hard time focusing.
She made her way back to her bed where Mark was sitting and then looks up at Chelsea. "Well it wasn't a complete disaster. We want to tell you something." She left it open for Mark to carry on, figuring that it was best that the brother did the explaining.

The reaction Chelsea gave was completely natural based on what she had to work with. She knew Evie and Mark extremely well, and she also knew that their relationship with each other (prior to this night, of course, though Chelsea did not know about the events at the prom) was not a particularly close one, unless one counted physically close as a close relationship. Chelsea looked up from her drink at once when Evie mentioned that the note she'd received (which, of course, Chelsea knew about...there wasn't much that she didn't know about Evie, being that they were roommates) was all a set-up. Her reaction was similar to Mark's. She rose to her feet at once, an outraged expression on her face. Sure, she and Evie fought quite often, but they were almost like sisters in the way that they fought. It came as a result of being roomies. They were so different, yet they had to make it work for the sanity of the dorm. And if there was one thing Chelsea hated more than people screwing with her, it was people screwing with her friends. "Do you know who it was? Ugh, wonder if it was the same guy..." She wouldn't put it past Errol to do something like that either. She could certainly see him doing it to her, so what would stop him from doing it to one of her best friends? Chelsea grumbled under her breath, taking a seat and chugging down her pop. Normally she'd try to showcase better manners than this, but given the company, and her mood...she just didn't care. What she did care about, however, was that Evie and Mark had something to explain to her. Chelsea couldn't help but grin a little at this. Did they think she was stupid? She could plain as day see that they were holding hands! Even though Mark landed himself with half of the girls in Riverdale (or so it felt like), she didn't often see him striding up to her casually with his hand in a girl's, ready to make an announcement. Gee, what could they possibly have to say? She rolled her eyes. "Hmm, wonder why you could be holding hands...either you two are close in a more than physical way, or...Evie's pregnant." She stated with a snort. The seventeen year old boy simply shook his head as Evie and Chelsea complained about what had gone wrong with their nights. He didn't have much to say, really. The only bad thing about this night was finding out what exactly happened to Evie. He had to admit that he was with Chelsea when it came to asking who the mystery person was. Or people. Actually, for all the trio knew, it might not even be a male. There were some nasty girls around school who would probably get a kick out of seeing someone else's misfortune. Some of those girls were downright scary too. "I say we try to figure out who the offender is. I'd still like to punch them in the face." He expected to see a disapproving look on his sister's face, and was surprised to see that she looked like she was about ready to punch someone in the face on Evie's behalf too. Then again, Chelsea never was one to take things sitting down. She wouldn't be able to do much physically, given her stature and physical condition, but the girl had an acid tongue. Mark grabbed himself a Pepsi and began to drink it down like a champ. It was the first time he'd let go of Evie's hand since walking into the dorm. His eyes shot to Evie, waiting for her to continue her explanation after she opened up the subject to Chelsea. A long enough wait served as a hint to Mark that Evie intended for him to be the one to deliver the news. He shot an odd look at Evie, then turned to Chelsea...who by this point was starting to speak on her own. He let out a sigh of relief as Chelsea guessed it...then befuddled look at her final suggestion. Evie, pregnant? Oh...oh dear. He hoped not. He would definitely be one of the contenders in that case. The deer in headlights look that ensued was quite amusing, though Mark played it off to the best of his ability. "No! No...we're just going to give dating a try." He shot Evie a look as if to say 'I hope'. Word count: 377 To: Ali/Evie Notes: MEHH

The senior could not just sit still for one second. As she took her seat beside Mark again, it only seemed like a few seconds later that she stood up and began and pacing. Whilst others were probably starting to feel the effects of night time and were now settling down, Evie could feel her energy peaking. 80% of her nights each week were spent out and about, mingling with different crowds and partying. Her body clock seemed to have reset itself so that midnight to somebody else would feel like midday to her. There was not a lot she could do now though. For one she guessed that Chelsea would have something to say about her coming home for half hour before heading off into the night again. Plus it would be kind of rude if she had invited Mark over to the dorm for a bit to hang out and then suddenly take off on him, ready to gamble away some more money and get even more intoxicated on more than just alcohol.
She needed something to occupy herself with, and since everybody else was pouring themself a drink she thought she may aswell do the same. She didn't fancy pepsi though and so she raided the small fridge for a bottle of lemonade. Such a simple task of making herself a drink was proving to be a lot more difficult that it should ever have been. For at least 20 seconds she balanced on her toes trying to open one of the cupboreds above her to pull a glass. After this task was done she then unscrewed the cap on the bottle of pop and began pouring herself a glass. Although this didn't go smoothly at all either. After spilling a load on the kitchen surface, the end of the bottle hit the glass flying across the surface, spilling lemonade everywhere. "Oh shiiiiiiiiiiiiit!! Sorry Chels...I'll wipe that up. And buy some more lemonade tomorrow." She flashed her an apologetic smile before cleaning up after herself. After the glass disaster she carried the bottle over with her and instead drank from that.
After she sat and made herself comfy again she was glad to hear that Chelsea agreed with Mark in the fact that the person/people responsible for sending the note was a tool. "Trust me, if I find out who it is, they'll get more than a punch. I'll cut their balls off and take photos off them for ransom." She chuckled at this comment, although it was certainly true not to put this past Evie. of course she would never do that but...well like she said, they'd get more than a punch. She'd literally kick the shit out of them if she could.
She saw the eyeroll from Chelsea and figured that the girl already guessed what they had to tell her. She did raise her eyebrows at Chelsea jokingly suggesting a pregnancy. "Why would we be holding hands if I was preggers? We'd be running for the hills in opposite directions." She grinned at this and then at Mark just to assure him that she was kidding about. "Anyway...no I'm not pregnant...I'd be ODing right about now if I was! But yeah we wanna give dating a try. Mark was awesome earlier. He cheered me up to no end and then we kinda realised that there was more." She shrugged at this simple statement but it was obvious from her face that the senior was bubbling with happiness.

On a typical night, Chelsea would be winding down, and Evie would just be heading out. Somehow the girls made it work. It also helped that Chelsea would take advantage of an invitation by Isa near the beginning of the school to crash at the other sophomore's place if she needed to. Chelsea watched as Evie headed into the kitchenette, sipping on her Pepsi as she did so. She found that she could not tear her eyes away from the scene as it unfolded. In the end, there was more lemonade on the counters and the floor than in the glass. Meanwhile, there was more Pepsi in Chelsea's trachea than in her esophagus, and every once in a while a fit of coughing interrupted her laughter as a result. With this, Chelsea set her Pepsi aside. She wasn't going to drink any more until she knew that it was safe, and with Mark and Evie, there was no telling. The conversation turned to a more serious note, back to the assholes that had messed around with Evie. "You two know there are ways to get back at people without risking going to jail..." The grin on Chelsea's face showed that she had no problem getting revenge on the jerks who'd played around with her friend's feelings, but she had other ideas as to how to do it. Chelsea shook her head as Evie mentioned what she would do if she did end up pregnant. "Evie, you'd have more than yourself to worry about. If you try to kill yourself I'm going to kill you first." She shook her head, smiling, not realizing that it wasn't entirely farfetched to think that Evie might do such a thing. Between the extremes of Evie and Chelsea was Mark, who was versatile when it came to his biological clock. Really, it was more along the lines that he stayed up quite late every night, but still ended up in bed before dawn, which was something that could not always be said for Evie. While Chelsea choked on her Pepsi at Evie's unintentionally humorous display, Mark's Pepsi came spewing forth from his mouth, thus adding to the mess. This only led the teenager to laugh more. Obviously it would be a pain in the ass to clean that up, but at least all of them were in decent enough moods that they weren't yelling at each other for it. He was on the sidelines, but he still did not want a fight to erupt between Chelsea and Evie. His sister and his girlfriend. Who would he side with? To be honest...at this point, he would side with Chelsea. He liked Evie, but they weren't quite to the stage in their relationship where she could entirely compete with his sister. Mark let out a celebratory noise at Evie's threat toward the people who screwed her over, and held out a hand for her to high five. The junior was thankful when Evie took over the explaining for the second part of the answer. Evie mentioned they'd be running toward the hills in opposite directions, and when Evie smiled, Mark smiled back. Still, at this point? There was no telling whether Mark would stick around. It wasn't that he was an outright jerk (though he had his moments), but he wouldn't know what the hell to do in such a scenario. "We danced to cheesy 80s music. So if you want to win over a guy, I suggest asking him to slow dance to 80s music. Trust your older brother, it works." He laughed, even though it was actually Evie who asked him. Really the brother and sister were a pretty perfect pair for Evie to have in her life. Chelsea was the more rational and mature one out of the three. She had a good head on her shoulders and was never afraid to tell Evie when she thought that the older girl was taking things too far. Mark on the other hand was a lot more like the senior. Although he didn't take things to the extent that Evie did, he was still reckless enough for Evie to have fun with without getting into too much trouble.
This was only much more proved when Chelsea's reaction to Evie's threat was a more rational one whereas Mark awarded Evie with a high five. After returning it back to him with a grin she looked at Chelsea, still with the smile on her face that was now turning into a grin at what she was saying. "Soooo what your saying is that you have an idea yourself? Ooh! Let's hear it. I bet this will be good." She sat herself down comfortably and looked up to Chelsea expectantly, every now and then taking a swig from her lemonade.
What Mark said next made Evie laugh out loud. Perhaps it was what he had actually said, or the fact that she was pretty wasted, but something about it tickled her enough for her to throw her head back. At this she lost her balance of the edge of her bed and literally went tits up, slipping of the side and falling on the floor spilling the lemonade all down her front. A hand poked up from the side after a second trying to pull the body it was attached to up and a voice called from the floor next to the bed. "I'm okay! Don't you guys worry!" A second later Evie's head popped back up and she managed to pull herself up again. She didn't even seem fazed although she looked a bit annoyed at the fact she the lemonade that was left was now down her front. Mannn something else to clean up! After another quick change she finally looked at Mark still grinning. "I believe it was me who asked yu to dance? So Chelsea, take a leaf from your roomie's book and ask the guy. Boys dig that. She smiles at Mark again just to make sure that he knew that she was kidding with him and then leans forward giving him a little kiss on the cheek before flopping down on her bed, almost at the point of KO-ing.

It was true that Chelsea put more thought into things that Mark and Evie. Chelsea was the second oldest of seven siblings in her past life. Therefore, she was used to responsibility, both in this life and her past one. Chelsea grinned when Evie inquired as to what her idea was. "Like I said, you don't have to go to jail for this. Why not hit them with a taste of their own medicine? Obviously not a secret admirer note, as that's been done, but with the three of us, I'm sure that we can think of something." Finally feeling that it was safe, Chelsea took a few sips of her Pepsi. ...only to spit it out again when Evie went falling off the side of the bed. Alright, that was it. She wasn't going to drink anything else until Mark was out of the room, at the very least. She wiped off her mouth and set her Pepsi on the ground, making sure that the cap was sealed tightly. "How much did you have to drink anyway?" She shook her head as Evie went off to change, but smiled. Chelsea might not have been a huge fan of drinking, but as long as she and Mark weren't going anywhere in their somewhat addled states, she could put up with it. When Evie came back, she corrected Mark's version of the story and provided her with her own advice, which prompted Chelsea to grin. "Oh, don't worry. If I feel like asking out a guy I will. I'm not a big fan of the old traditions that the guy has to ask the girl anyway." She shrugged nonchalantly. Honestly, anyone who knew her should have expected such a response from her, and if anyone knew her, it was her roommate and her brother. She took a look at Evie as the other girl flopped out on her bunk, shaking her head once more. "I feel you there, Evie." Part of her was inclined to ask her brother if he wanted to stay, but another part of her wondered if she should. When it came to rules, Mark was all for breaking the ones that he thought were stupid. There were a lot of rules that fell into this category. The dorm rule? He could understand it to some extent, but he saw no reason to follow it. Was it really harming anyone if two people decided to use an empty dorm for a little bit of fun at night? Only way it might harm someone is if someone came walking in... When he and Evie snuck up to the dorm, it was second nature. Sure, a few people saw them, but most of them just rolled their eyes, expecting it of Mark and Evie. For once, their motives weren't outright sexual, and yet they were still being judged for it. Yes, they'd have to do a lot to work off their reputations, and Mark wasn't sure if he really wanted to work off his. He kind of liked his reputation. Hence why he kept his fondness for the subject of chemistry a secret. He didn't want to be made fun of for it. Mark burst into a fit of laughter when he saw Evie take a tumble off of the bed, then run to go get changed. He made to follow after her with a huge grin on his face, but a smack in the arm from his younger sister kept him seated in a computer chair near the bunks. Honestly, even if his sister wasn't enforcing the no boys allowed rule, it didn't seem like she was going to let he and Evie get up to much in her apartment anyway. Go figure. Hanston would be proud. Not that the idea of making out (and more) with Evie in front of his sister was all that appealing anyway...talk about a mood kill. "Well, we split up a bottle of Jack Daniels amongst ourselves." He responded to his sister's question about drinking. "And yes, for your information, Evie did ask me to dance. Still, it was 80s music. So there. It's an integral part of the recipe." He held up his Pepsi in the air as if to make a toast, then drank. Word count: 373 To: Ali/Evie Notes: MEHH
