Principal Hanston changed the locks.
Dur...I mean, did you really think she'd leave so much to fate? Everything ado in the meantime was to buy her time to find a locksmith that did amazing work without asking questions.

But, she does want any RSOR key back, so you are free to continue with key plots as long as your charrie has them. The only differences are that the keys are no longer useful - and the charries know it, and the LP is no longer camping on the steps. RSOR meetings have resumed as normal, and of course, no one runs around with weaponry now.
