heaven help me, i didn't see the devil in your eyes… ANABELLE BOWDEN ==================================== Anabelle’s eyes shot back and forth several times. She didn’t need anyone sneaking up on her right now. She had just swiped the black bag and was intent of discovering if the contents were worth her efforts. The girl she took it from had walked into her the day before, so Ana had been particular with her target. And seeing no one she began digging through the bag, drawing out a wallet and a crap load of makeup. Girls could be so boring!
Shoving the eyeliner and eye shadow in her own bag, she quickly began digging for anything else of value. It was a real upset for Ana to discover nothing worthwhile in the purse. People in this age just didn’t keep their valuables on them like they used to. She quickly dropped the bag and began sifting through the wallet, pocketing some change and throwing two twenties into her own bag, before skimming for anything more. Okay, so today’s findings sort of sucked, but at least the wallet was nice right? Ana dumped the contents of the wallet into the girl’s purse and quickly got up shoving the wallet into her own bag. She proceeded into the main hall, dropping the purse next to the wall before entering the main hall itself. She knew her dress tended to draw attention so she really didn’t care to have a stolen purse on her. Two bags was suspicious for anyone to be carrying.
Ana had found this life a bit confusing for her. All she really wanted was to be back at sea, sailing about and taking what she wanted and when she wanted it. She wasn’t used to the rules people had set down and more importantly hiding who she is. It had been especially confusing when Ana had finally understood that she wasn’t like the normal person and had lived a full life before this one. But one thing remained consistent and unmarred in her mind. What she wanted was hers…and those who got in her way she could still intimidate and corner into getting out of her way. Like that damn ‘sister’ of hers Andrea.
Ana had been as nasty as ever from a young age and her brother hadn’t helped seeing as he was similar to her. Ana had thought to talk to him about her old life but thought better of it, knowing him to be as nasty as he was, she didn’t need to give him a reason to start turning on her. It was bad enough when he got into that damn club and left her behind. RSOR was the bane of Ana’s existence and she would make them pay. Perhaps that was why she was so intent on stealing from those people instead of just making due with the rest of the school population. But at least one thing was clear, almost all those she did steal from all she got was little trinkets.
She had her rewards from previous pillaging before getting to Riverdale, but not as much as she’d like. Ana had on today six rings she had stolen and that was a start. Two were on one hand and four on the other…with two rings doubling up on the same finger. She also had all these earrings, necklaces and just about any other little trinket she could swipe. Her waist had a scarf around it which was more because she didn’t feel like tracking down her belt. It was looped into the hoops for a belt on her bright orange pants. Through into the mix her many bracelets with charms on one arm and a cuff-like bracelet on another and yes, Ana was a bit distinct. It’s not like it meant anything! Sure her pants tucked into her boots like they were and the nature of the wavy folds of clothing she worse suggested at her old life. But that was all habit and no one would ever guess just what she was. Not when she kept up with the times, the technologies and the latest celebrities and gossip. She was as normal as she could appear given the circumstances…okay maybe not, but if she wore less notable clothes then she would be. Living in this lifetime when she belonged somewhere else was just frustrating like that!
Ana sat down against the wall of the hallway, sliding down the wall to the floor where she dug through her bag for her cellphone. Flipping it open she checked for texts even though she knew there wouldn’t be any. Ana didn’t have friends. She had minions—or people she scared into dealing with her. The closest person to a friend she had was her brother and he had deserted her for that stupid club. Ana didn’t know why he even had to choose one or the other but she wasn’t about to give up completely on him. Though, it did mean she had no one to send her texts. Why she kept checking was beyond her…she began skimming through the games on her android phone before she stopped at backgammon and started to play against the computer. Wow, her life had really come to this?

Though Zoe's life was the greatest it had been every since her rebirth, this still wasn't the life that she wanted. On one hand, things had taken an upward turn. She had the child she was cheated out of in her past life, in the form of her younger brother that she spent most of her time caring for. Her father and stepmother were out of the picture. No matter how much she tried, though, no matter how much conniving and manipulating she did, she simply could not go back to the early 1700s. She felt like a fish out of water, almost literally. Maybe that was the reason she hated almost everyone she came across in this time period. She wanted to go back, meet the people she knew back then. Jack (even though he'd betrayed them in the end, she could not help but look back fondly at her times on the Revenge with him). Anne. She missed them both. To some extent, she even hated the fact that she'd been graced with in this time period. Before, she'd had a face that was clearly androgynous enough to pass off as male on both the ship she'd been on (only a few people on the Revenge had been privy to the fact that Anne and Mary were female) and to all of the other jobs she'd taken over the years of her past life. There were only a few short years, while she was married to a man, that she'd even lived like a woman in her past life. She couldn't do that even if she had the choice now, though. It wasn't as though Zoe identified as a male. She felt female in every way, but she'd enjoyed messing with people's minds before, knowing that she had a secret that they would never find. She enjoyed having the freedom to go whichever way that she chose. She didn't have much of a choice as a child, when she had to masquerade as her dead brother so that her mother would continue to be supported by her maternal grandparents, but when she was older she very much had a choice. She could have chosen to act the part of a woman, and she did for a few years. She could also pin down the role of a man, and not let that stop her, in a time period where most women didn't get a chance to do much of anything. Why didn't she have that versatility now, in a time that was supposed to be more easygoing? Caught up in reminiscences, Zoe decided to go for a more masculine appearance today. No make up, a hoodie, and sweatpants, as well as large tennis shoes. Her hair was pinned underneath a baseball cap, as she approached a younger girl seated on the stairs playing around with her phone. Unbeknownst to her, she knew that girl. Perhaps that was what drew Zoe to the girl unconsciously...or maybe she just wanted to mess around with her. Either way, Zoe made a beeline toward the girl at once. "Hey there. What are you playing?" She deepened her voice to the best of her ability, trying to come off as a male with slightly feminine features. They existed, after all. It had been a while since she messed with someone, and she wanted to see if she still had it in her. Word count: 573 To: Jez-E with Ana Notes: I had this funny idea of their first meeting in this life going the way their first meeting did before. =P Dunno how well it will work out though.

heaven help me, i didn't see the devil in your eyes… ANABELLE BOWDEN ==================================== Hearing someone address her Ana’s eyes roamed up to see a female dressed in what appeared to me an almost masculine way and as it was tomboys reminded Ana of the past. Naturally they would. Spending all those years with the guys, as one of the guys and manning that ship. It was to be expected. Though, more people were aware of Anne’s being a woman than they were of Mary. That was bound to happen when Anne was with Jack. People just kept tabs on the captain, which generally was a good idea.
It also meant, that despite this girl’s very good attempts to appear male, Ana recognized her as female. Maybe it was a subconscious thing that alerted her or maybe it was past skill and past activities, but she just knew this was a girl. Or at least, she was almost positive, and that was enough for Ana. Either it was a very gay man, or a masculine woman. There was no in the middle this time. Or at least he is metro.
What Ana didn’t realize was that there was more than just the way the girl was dressed that reminded her of the past. ”Backgammon.”
She answered, her eyes still on the other girl. If this other girl was looking to mess with Ana it would be quite a surprise for her, seeing as Ana was no normal civil person. She of course didn’t see the girl as a threat but something inside her said to be cautious with this one. Which should have been enough warning for Ana. Anne was far more dangerous than almost anyone she had met, so that should have been a warning. ”Do you want something?” Ana asked, not meaning to come across in a negative way but it could be taken that way depending on the person. ”Or just looking to talk to someone?” She asked. Basically, she was wondering if this stranger was talking to her for a reason or if it was random selection. Of course, the wording wasn’t perfect but Ana wasn’t looking for a long drawn out answer, so hopefully simple yes or no questions would do the trick. Then again, she felt drawn to this person, so maybe she did want to talk after all… It was a weird feeling for Ana to want to talk to someone. She felt that way with her brother but other than that she mostly hated people. And lately she had negative feelings toward her brother too, so suddenly Ana was intrigued by this stranger. Someone she wanted to talk to…that was intriguing alright. ”I am Anabelle Bowden by the way…Ana works though. In fact, she preferred Ana. At least it was closer to what she was called in her first life.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Zoe Allen •• •• Words • 464 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "Devil in Disguise" by Elvis Presley ••

Zoe identified as a female, but she felt drawn to a man's way of life. She'd been raised that way as a child in her life beforehand. In fact, any sign of femininity in young Mary was usually squashed down in the public eye. She had to appear as her brother. It caused considerable confusion when Zoe was a young girl, but once she came to understand what was happening between her two lives, she could cope much easier. Well, cope with herself, so to speak. She could pretend to cope with the people around her. She did a damn good job of it too, if you asked her. She also did a damn good job of getting what she wanted. Had she known this girl had jacked a purse, she would have congratulated the girl, despite the fact that she didn't realize what this other girl truly meant to her. That this girl was, in fact, someone she knew from before, and probably one of the few people she'd actually show some true respect and feelings for. As it was, she did sense something about this girl. "Backgammon? Sounds like you need someone to talk to, honestly." This wasn't meant in a negative way either, at least toward the sophomore. Had she known the other girl's thoughts, she would have wholeheartedly agreed. Mary Read and Anne Bonny were pirates. Pirates reduced to playing backgammon on the stairs of a high school. There were honestly times that Zoe just wanted to leave high school, steal a boat, and go sailing. Despite these impulses, though, Zoe was not stupid. She wanted to at least finish her high school education before she went and did something rash. She supposed she could join the military, perhaps joining the navy. Submarines paled in comparison to boats, though. She didn't understand how anyone could coop themselves up like that! "Pleasure, Ana." Zoe held out a hand to shake...a hand that was far more feminine that she liked. She enjoyed androgyny, and unfortunately this body wasn't allowing her to have as much fun with that. It also likely didn't help that most males didn't have long hair as they did in the past. Long hair honestly wasn't all that rare in the time that she came from, but now? Only certain guys who fell into certain 'categories' followed that fashion. Made it so much harder for Zoe to come across as male, honestly. Zoe wasn't so sure that she wanted to introduce herself yet, though she did want to make one comment. "Ana. I like that name. Reminds me of the name Anne...used to know an awesome girl by that name." Little did Zoe know that Ana WAS in fact this 'awesome girl'. Though something did strike her about this other girl...something almost...familiar? Word count: 486 To: Jez-E with Ana Notes: Figured we needed something to push us in the right direction, so I'd throw out a 'harmless' comment. =P

heaven help me, i didn't see the devil in your eyes… ANABELLE BOWDEN ==================================== Ana often wondered if maybe Mary Read, assuming she was around, was in the body of a guy. It would have been fitting for someone so used to pretending to be a guy, to become one in the next life. She often squashed that idea with the thought that Mary Read may never be seen in Ana’s new life and that she may never be reincarnated at all. What caused reincarnation was unknown to her, especially since Ana was so sure right now that she was the only reincarnate. She may not be, but until she met another, she was the only one. And that was her reality.
Ana glanced down at the backgammon game on her phone and sighed, ”It is kind of sad isn’t it? Even if I enjoy Backgammon.”
She made her expression seem hopeful, ”At least I have chess too?” she answered, breaking into a smile at the end. She quite enjoyed the old board games she knew from her time period. Newer ones were far too complex with all these dramatic and over calculated rules. Monopoly was far from relaxing for example, being more like robbing someone and less like kicking back on the deck and relaxing. Backgammon was natural, and required minimal thought for Ana now. Ana’s thoughts went to her life at sea many many times. She also remembered her life after and how much it lacked the adventure and love she had experienced while sailing. Her retired pirate life was horrid and a waste of her time. Something Ana loathed and worried about happening again. Pirates were not common place anymore, so she wasn’t sure how she was ever going to go back to having things the way they should be and the way she liked them. It made for a difficult life after she realized just who she was—and to be honest, she had always known. Her life would appear easy on the outside but it was very difficult on the inside, knowing she was without friends, without ship, without booty and without a chance to do any of it ever again…well…except the boat. Ana held out her hand and shook the other girls hand. She didn’t ask for the other girl’s name and to be honest she didn’t care what her name was. Ana didn’t have friends for a reason, and it wasn’t her charming personality that did it—it was her true personality. It always turned up when friends were concerned. She needed jaded and nasty people like herself. People who abided by pirate code, not human law. That was hard to find. ”Thanks. It also reminds me of an Anne I once knew. She was amazing, spirited and a bit on the nasty side. Fond memories though…” she said with a sigh. She was of course talking about herself but it’s not like she could say it was her. No one would ever believe her if she told them the truth after all. And so far no one had come close. Well, except that kid who had grilled her at the bon fire—but that was more like almost getting caught stealing someone’s things.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Zoe Allen •• •• Words • 527 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "Devil in Disguise" by Elvis Presley ••

The idea that she could have been reincarnated as male had occurred to Zoe before, and she had given some consideration as to how she would react. She was very much used to masquerading as a man, and living the life of a man. Actually being in a male body, however? In all honesty, Zoe was happy that she'd been reincarnated as female again. She might not have liked that this body was less androgynous than her past one, but a female body felt right, no matter what lifestyle she actually chose. She liked that she actually had a choice this time around, there was no doubt about that. Granted, women still faced sexism, but the fact remained that a woman did have far more options than they had entering the 18th century. The only reason Mary was allowed to do what she did was owing to the fact that she disguised herself as a man, and Jack liked having a couple of women on board. That was it. If it weren't for Jack and Anne, she would have never revealed that she was truly female. At the sigh and the ensuing review by Anabelle, she let out a laugh. "I suppose. Not much to it though, is there?" Sometimes you really did need that extra time to relax, and Zoe had played such games herself (she was quite the fan of Angry Birds, actually), but Anabelle really didn't look to be enjoying herself. When the other girl made a comment about chess, Zoe made a face as though she were seriously considering it. "Chess is better, I'll agree. I'd challenge you to a game of chess, though I have no idea where we'd find a game board..." There were plenty of other things that Zoe could challenge what she thought to be an average girl to, and succeed. The catch was that Anabelle was no more a normal girl than Zoe was. If Zoe challenged Anabelle to a sword fight, she might actually be in for a surprise. While a sword fight was not entirely out of the question in the RSOR room, it certainly was on the main stairwell of Riverdale High with a girl who was not known to be a reincarnate. The corners of Zoe's mouth turned up a bit as the other girl described an Anne much like the Anne that she'd known herself, a long time ago in another lifetime. "Yep, that sounds like my Anne too. Loved her for it, though. She could keep up with all of the guys, and there were plenty of guys to keep up with. Sweet gal, just wish I hadn't lost track of her." Actual emotion toward a person was extremely rare for Zoe...but in this case, there was an actual note of sadness as she spoke - for once, it was not an act. heaven help me, i didn't see the devil in your eyes… ANABELLE BOWDEN ==================================== She shook her head. There really wasn’t much to it and that was part of the charm of ancient board games. Or at least what today’s people would consider ancient or in the least old. Backgammon, Chess, Checkers…the list went on. But all of them had something in common. They were simple, often made of wood, and required minimal coloured pieces. And because they were simple even the uneducated could play them which also helped in the time Anne was from. Not everyone got an education back then.
”Not at all…”
she agreed. ”But it’s been proven that sometimes menial tasks allow someone to relax more than something more complex and requires thought. Everyone needs to turn their brain off sometimes…” She didn’t mention the fact that because she was Anne Bonny and remembered the past it was harder for her here. Naturally that meant more down time if possible. Then again, would you tell a stranger you were a long dead pirate reincarnated and back with a vengeance? Anne smiled. ”My phone can do multiplayer, though I have to say a solid wooden chess set is way better than a virtual one. Maybe I can bring one in tomorrow or some other time and we could play?” She asked with a wide grin. Ana loved a good game of chess. Even better if there were stakes on the game of course, but that couldn’t be helped most of the time. At least not in this world. Naturally, swords were more the medium of Ana’s extracurricular time. She preferred sword play and it had been a while since she could really enjoy it. Sure she had tried fencing but that was such a pansy way to use a blade. She practiced in the basement of her house from time to time but that only did so much and allowed for so much. No opponent for starts…and that hampered her more than she liked to admit. At least she could practice sword play. Sailing wasn’t so easy when you didn’t have a ship, or a crew…And who would listen to a brat in high school who claimed to be the great Pirate Anne Bonny? It just wasn’t happening. People were not lining up to join her crew and before she would have forced people to part of her crew. But not anymore. Ana smiled sadly, ”It does sort of suck to lose a friend like that. And a little funny that we both once knew an Anne with the same traits. Ironic really…” Ana was tempted to ask for a last name but she couldn’t offer the last name her Anne had. Because she was her Anne…Anne Bonny. Of course, she was also clueless that the other girl would have the same problem. ”Where I come from, everyone knew about her…or at least of her.” Ana smiled. It was strange to be reminiscing her past with a stranger who had no idea just what the meaning was. She loved the past and her past life and this girl gave her a chance to subtly remember. She could reference it, even if she couldn’t blatantly mention it. Yes, it was indeed strange.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Zoe Allen •• •• Words • 530 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "Devil in Disguise" by Elvis Presley ••

Board games were good to pass the time. While Zoe didn't have anything against technology, it still made her feel wistful at times because it wasn't what she had in her first life. It was a constant reminder that she was no longer in the early 1700s, on the Revenge, with Calico Jack, Anne Bonny, and all of the others on board. What she shared with Anne and Jack, though, was something she failed to share with the others. Especially Anne. Anne had been her best friend through thick and thin. It was they, and one sole male on board, who fought their captors until they could fight no longer. Everyone else on board was too drunk. She loved Jack, she really did, and she missed him, though she couldn't make any promises that she wouldn't give him a piece of her mind when she came across him again. The idea of meeting someone else from her time, though...that would prevent anything further from happening, and she may even throw her arms around him. In fact, she'd probably do the same with Anne. And, as anyone who knew Zoe well enough in this life knew, if you witnessed that you may as well try your luck at winning the lottery. The only person in this life she'd shown that sort of affection toward was her younger brother. Zoe's relationship with Zachary was a bit skewed, admittedly. She viewed him as more of a son than a younger brother, a chance to experience what she'd been robbed of before - A chance at motherhood. She also had the chance to influence a future generation, and she wasn't about to let that go. In all honesty, she wanted Zachary to be her little protege. But that would come later. "A game of chess tomorrow sounds delightful. I promise I'll give you a challenge as well." It sounded as though this girl took her games seriously when she did play them, and Zoe wanted her to know that she felt the same way. Her pride was at stake, after all, and Zoe valued her pride. Zoe shrugged and smiled a little, a wistful smile at that. "It really is. I still remember this one time I tricked her by dressing up as a guy...she totally fell for it too. I think she was going to actually try to have her way with me before she realized who I was." She let out a laugh, unsure of exactly why she was telling the girl before her this, but also seeing no harm in it. So she'd tricked a friend and the friend had fallen for it like a goof. In reality, she was recapping her first meeting with Anne Bonny as Mary Read. Nobody would recognize that reference. Nobody. Unless...unless that person was Anne Bonny. In that case, things might turn out quite differently, as Zoe was about to find out... Word count: 491 To: Jez-E with Ana Notes: Moment of truth, I suppose? XD

heaven help me, i didn't see the devil in your eyes… ANABELLE BOWDEN ==================================== Anne hadn’t really thought much about the technology because to her it almost felt like she grew up with it, but it conflicted with the fact that initially she didn’t. She loved and hated it. Used it and ignored it on a whim. It was her mood that decided if she felt like using it and when she was as lonely as she was now, it was to be expected that Ana would cling to something that felt like having someone else with you. Playing backgammon against a computer was better than playing it with yourself…
Ana smiled in response. It was an instinctive reaction but also a genuine one in the sense that Ana didn’t have friends. And it was likely this girl would end up like all the others; Driven away by Ana’s wild and dangerous behaviour. Her controlling, and slightly criminal way didn’t tend to stick with kids her age. Sure they wanted to have fun but she took things a bit far for their liking and the attraction to the friendly person they met or the bad girl they picked up in her vanished entirely. Ana was used to this and sure that this girl, would be the same way. And she still didn’t know the girl’s name!
”We will see about that…”
Ana offered back. She was good at chess, checkers and the bare basic games she had played in her previous life. They were games partially reliant on luck and chance and partially on skill and that was something Ana loved about them. There was always a thrill when chance was involved…or risk. Risk was good too. Ana was nodding along with what Zoe said when all her opinions changed and surprised popped onto her face. It could have been considered a normal expression for the words spoken…But Anne was still going over the details. This girl knew an Anne once, kept up with the guys, lost track of her…and tricked her into thinking she was a guy causing this Anne to come onto her. Good god this girl HAD to be Mary Read. She just…had to! Before Anne could think it just slipped out. ”Mary?” Her expression was one of surprise and wonder still, but she was also careful not to express too much. The girl could just think because Ana didn’t know her name that she was somebody else…and Anne would claim that if she was wrong. But everything, even the girl opposite of her was telling her she was right. She had found Mary Read! She had found her best friend![/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Zoe Allen •• •• Words • 430 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "Devil in Disguise" by Elvis Presley ••

The subject of technology aroused similar feelings in Zoe as it did in Ana. She enjoyed technology for what it was worth, but at the same time saw modern technology as a reminder of how much she didn't belong in this world. This wasn't what she was used to. This wasn't where she belonged. And Zoe never really did feel quite like she belonged in the 21st century. Sure, she thought some of the improvements were amazing (oh, to think what the crew of The Revenge could have done had they gotten their hands on some of the weapons of today), it was just...unfamiliar, and a constant reminder that she had yet to meet anyone, other than her easily malleable kid brother, that she really clicked with. At this point Zoe did not care that she didn't know the other girl's name. She was intrigued, but she didn't expect to stay around this girl for very long. Perhaps they could strike up a casual friendship, but Zoe didn't let people get close to her in this life. These weren't the people that she knew and loved. They had no right to get too close to her. The other girl's reaction was both confusing and stunning, all at the same time. At first the girl responded in surprise, but not the surprise that Zoe was expecting. She was expecting this sophomore to simply be surprised at the fact that Zoe was able to pass off as a boy when dressing up. Then she went ahead and asked something that caused Zoe's own eyes to widen. She was certain that her face had gotten a couple of shades whiter, and she was slapping herself mentally for it. What the fuck was she doing? She was supposed to remain stoic in situations like these! But...seriously, she'd just been called Mary. How long had it been since she'd heard herself addressed by that name? Longer than Zoe wanted to admit. Still, Zoe knew that she couldn't afford not to be cautious. She eyed this other girl, arms across her chest. Honestly, there was only one person she could think of that would react in that way, though she wasn't going to respond with an 'Anne?' until she was more certain of what was occurring. As such, she decided to test the waters a bit. "What is that supposed to mean? Don't tell me you have plans to do the same. I don't know that Jack would be pleased...unless you want to come off as a wench?" Zoe started off in a calm voice, but in the end her voice gave way to a teasing tone. If this girl knew what she was talking about, she was indeed Anne. There was no doubt about it. Word count: 471 To: Jez-E with Ana Notes: Moment of truth, I suppose? XD

heaven help me, i didn't see the devil in your eyes… ANABELLE BOWDEN ==================================== Ana had started taking an immediate interest in the other girl as they continued to converse. Though Ana wished she could throw out a completely appalling suggestion just to get a reaction from the other girl. That way she could tell if the girl really was friend material. Ana didn’t like squishy, useless friends. She needed people who were willing to do bad things by the standards of today’s world. Then again, what she and her crew had done in the past had been bad by the standards of that world too…but still. Ana wanted to have fun again, and doing so by following the rules was so hard. And the rush she got from stealing from these stupid students wasn’t enough for her. She wanted to more!!
But to hear that this girl may understand more completely and actually be Mary Read left Ana riddled with hope. Mary had been her best friend and unlike Jack, Mary had been a world of good for her. Mary had fought alongside her and Ana had grieved deeply when her friend had died in that damn prison. She had wished Mary was there to live a long life with her, but on a ship…not the dead and pathetic life Ana had lived after Mary and Jack had died. Anne almost felt like she had gotten the rotten end of the deal, living to a ripe old age with kids and never having sailed or lived as a pirate again. She had loved that life, and it had been taken from her by one Calico Jack. If she ever found Jack again he would get a good piece of her mind!
Ana knew her question had been confirmed with the other girl’s paler complexion. So Ana found herself repeating the question…”Mary right?”
She asked again, her expression turning from one of wonder to possible excitement. Ana knew she had to of found Mary. It was her Mary!! It was her best friend! It had to be! The dressing like a boy, the way she had talked about chess, and now this…it had to be her! It had to be! Even the way she had referred to Anne herself. The reaction she got after that had surprised Ana though. She had thought Mary would be happy to see her. That was when Anne heard the response and smiled deviously. So Mary was being cautious…that was fine by her. ”Jack can rot in hell for all I care. That bastard is responsible for everything and he didn’t even live to see the consequences. And if you are technical by today’s standards I am and always will be a wench! “ Anne smiled with amusement at the last part. ”Satisfied or should I start going over exact events as they occurred. Cause I can do that…” Anne offered with a wide grin. This was the happiest she had been in forever. There were others like her and even more importantly, here was Mary, her best friend, the person she missed the most from the past. This was her Mary. This was…everything could go back to the way it was. Well…sort of. Anne couldn’t help the bubbling excitement inside her but she knew it would fade a bit. They had to finish ‘high school’ first. Fuck high school!! When it came to having fun, Zoe was willing to do anything and everything. Stealing, cheating, even killing. Yes, she'd killed in this life, and although it had been an accident, she didn't particularly feel remorse for it. She could feel affection for others. She just opted not to let anyone get close enough to her in this life to allow that. It left one to wonder what Zoe's life might have been like had Samantha Allen stayed around. Zoe rarely thought of her mother in this life, but mother and daughter had established a bond when Zoe was young. If Samantha was still there, would Zoe have established other connections to those in this time period? It was hard to say. The only other person specific to this life was Zachary. Her views toward him were a tad twisted, but she cared for him nonetheless. She viewed him as a son more so than a brother. The child she'd never had a chance to have in her past life, because it was ripped away from her too soon. If only others had fought back when The Revenge was attacked. If only it wasn't just she, Anne, and one sole male pirate. If only she'd survived that dratted fever in prison. Zoe's eyes widened when Ana addressed her as Mary. She couldn't hold it back anymore. She still waited for Ana to finish speaking, but every word that the other girl spoke only served as more confirmation of what Zoe thought. By the time Ana was done speaking, Zoe was grinning from ear to ear and throwing her arms around Ana without a second thought. Had she been perhaps a bit stronger in this life, she might have even lifted Ana off of her feet, she was that excited. "I wouldn't have you any other way. Fuck I missed you!" Her best friend. Fuck everyone else. Save for Zachary. Zachary was hers. Zachary was what the world robbed her of before, along with her pirate life. She wanted to start anew. Get a new pirate ship, sail with Ana and Zachary, give Zachary a life of freedom and fun. She knew Zachary would like that. He already liked pirates. Then again, he pretty much had no choice to, what with his older sister being the way that she was...and who she was. "I'm more than satisfied. I'm ecstatic! There's more people around here like us, you know. The whole living, dying, and living again thing. You could join if you want, I'm a member." A devious grin spread across her face. "Hardly anyone knows who I am in it. I've tried to keep that secret. I mean, honestly, it's so much easier without people knowing. You, however..." Her eyes were dancing with delight. "I can make it so that NO ONE knows who you are. It might take a little work, and some forgery, but I think we can do it. I think we can beat their silly little system and get you in under a different name." It was worth a shot, wasn't it? Only reunited with her dear Anne for less than an hour and she was already scheming with the other girl. Word count: 561 To: Jez-E with Ana Notes: There we go.

heaven help me, i didn't see the devil in your eyes… ANABELLE BOWDEN ==================================== Ana’s only connections in this life were limited. And her positive relationships a little rare. She only had a connection that meant something with her brother. He was the only one she had been honest with through most of it, though not about the whole Anne Bonny thing. That was sure to freak him out. But the two had been peas in a pod until that damn club had claimed him.
Her relationship with her father was completely fake as the man saw her as the perfect angel lately, and so did her step mother. Her real mother was more than aware of the nastiness that the children she had spawned were capable of. And to be honest so was their father but having seen the recent ‘changes’ in the behaviour for the better he couldn’t help but see them as perfect compared to what they had been.
That just left friends and step siblings. Ana’s step siblings were more than aware of her nasty streak as she treated them like shit and terrorized them. Even the sister she had that was the same age as she was. So far, Ana didn’t have friends so her repertoire of emotional connections was small. In fact, it was practically non-existent which is why this was so big of a deal for her to have found Mary.
Ana threw her arms around Zoe much the same way as Zoe threw her arms around her. Ana’s own grin mirrored Zoe’s, her excitement displayed across her face for any to see. But so far it was just the two girls in the hallway. Ana hadn’t thought it possible to fine Mary in this life and yet, here she was. Mary, her best friend and partner in crime. It was perfect!
”This life is horrible! I have needed someone so bad and it is so amazing to find you. I didn’t think it was possible, no one should have believed me…and I miss the water, and the sailing just as much as I missed you. And Jack can still go Fuck himself!”
She said, trailing on in a ramble due to her excitement. Anne couldn’t have been happier than this moment. Her best friend was back. Watch our Riverdale High School! Anne Bonny and Mary Read were back in business!! Well…minus one ship and its good-for-nothing Captain and crew. But they didn’t need the extra crap if they had each other. Anne at first didn’t understand what Mary meant with the comment about more people, but as it fell into place her expression was one of disbelief. ”Wait!? Join? And what other people!? I mean they know who you are?” She was a bit confused in what the other girl was talking about. Some sort of club, or private group of friends or something? She hadn’t specified. ”Wait!? What am I joining first? And I definitely do not want anyone know who I am. It’s hard enough to act good and give false securities without people knowing. And if too many people found out, surely they would execute us…I mean, it happened the first time.” Anne was more than hesitant at the idea. She had escaped it once thanks to her rich father and she didn’t have that so much this time around.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Zoe Allen •• •• Words • 547 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "Devil in Disguise" by Elvis Presley ••

When one took a look at their situations, they would see many similarities between Ana and Zoe. They would notice differences as well, yet it was very clear if one looked at all of the evidence subjectively that there was something that these two very much had in common. They'd all but rejected this time period. Zoe wanted the Revenge back. She wasn't as bitter toward Jack as Anabelle was, but then, she hadn't had her whole past life to stew about his wrongdoings. She'd had this life, but all she could look back on was how much she missed those pirate ship days, and how much Jack was indeed a part of those. No doubt Anne Bonny was the one that Mary Read missed the most, though. And here she was, standing right before her. Granted, she was sixteen years old in her new life, but Zoe was only eighteen herself in this life. It was odd to look at Anne in this form. They were both teen girls in this life. Zoe was still not a fan of how feminine she looked now, but now that she was reunited with her dear Anne that didn't seem to matter so much. They would never be separated again. Zoe would literally kill anyone who tried to harm Ana, or push her away. She refused to go another lifetime without her best friend. In her excitement and haste to reveal everything to Ana, Zoe came to realize through the sophomore's questions that she had a bit of explaining to do. Zoe looked around with a small smirk. It was reasonable that Ana did not want to join RSOR, and she didn't entirely blame the other girl. Zoe made it clear that if the person who recruited her ever told anyone about her identity, they would pay for it in some way, shape, or form. Evidently it was enough to get them to listen, because her recruiter had not spoken up about her as of yet. If Ana could join, and not even have to worry about her identity being revealed, why not? "I miss sailing too. I think I honestly have to say that I missed you more, though. But now that we've met back up again, we can do it right this time." In other words, not get caught. Not put trust in their lives up to a bunch of drunken cowards. She saw how well that went the first time around. "I'm sorry, I got a bit ahead of myself. RSOR. Riverdale Society of Reincarnates. Only one of them knows who I truly am, and I threatened much harm to them if they ever tell anyone. I know ways it can never be traced back to me as well, so I don't have to worry about that." The way Zoe commented upon this subject was as though she was discussing what she'd had for lunch that day. Clearly, she wasn't worried about the prospect of being caught at all. After all, she wasn't caught for her stepmother's murder (which was, albeit, a drugging gone wrong). "I think we could get you in without revealing who you are, though. It's going to take a bit of research, and you'll probably have to forge someone's signature, but I think we can do it. Isn't identity theft a form of modern piracy?" Zoe smirked. Not the kind of piracy she preferred, but right now, it would have to do. heaven help me, i didn't see the devil in your eyes… ANABELLE BOWDEN ==================================== In all honesty, Ana and Zoe were two peas in a pod just like they used to be when they were Mary Read and Anne Bonny. Some things never changed. They both desired the sea and the ship on the sea, they both loved trouble and causing trouble and they both, in this new life, rejected this new world for all its major faults, especially the fault that it wasn’t the right time period for these two. Yes, Anne saw potential for trouble in this world, but so far only petty theft was a means to connect with the past for the moment.
It was strange how an old bond caused them to reunited with a new level of loyalty and trust. Anne was already working out how to best spend as much of her time with Zoe as possible, but also working on what they could do now that they were together again. No one would mess with either of them, and if they did, they wouldn’t live to see the next day…or at the very least they would pay. Ana was set on a life in her own control this time and that meant Jack could go to hell…if he wasn’t already there.
Ana grinned a devious smirk that spoke wonders of her love of trouble, ”Damn right we will. No men will get in our way, we will be in charge and we will do what it takes to get where we need to go. And I WILL have a ship! Though…that’s a work in progress…”
Ana added the last part in a less definitive tone, having a few years before she could drive a car, let alone her captain her own ship. ”Reincarnates? That’s what RSOR is? Wow…the people in this school really do have no idea…” Ana offered with a wide grin. She loved the idea of being in on this secret. ”I like this…I like this a lot,” Ana added, her tone conspiratorial. She liked the idea of getting into this club, but if they knew who she was, it would be like having those damn officers chasing her ship all over again. She would do what a pirate does best, she would find an underhanded way in that benefitted her in more ways than simply keeping herself a secret. She needed a perfect historical figure to take, and she needed a way to be sure that figure wasn’t already in RSOR. She also reminded herself to have a back-up claim that made sense, in case her assumed identity showed up unexpectedly. ”Okay, we need to find someone who is in the good graces of the law, but also someone who dresses frivolously…that way my appearance and attitude can appear natural and correct. I can easily learn to forge handwriting, so that is not a huge concern. And it wouldn’t be my first forgery.” Ana added, the gears in her brain circling and working out a way to make this work. ”Know any gypsies? That would be a good idea…” She offered, with another wide grin. ”We need to get to researching this. I need to become this person…as completely as possible at least.” Ana offered, her smile showing her excitement at plotting again with Mary and getting into a real form of trouble that didn’t involve stealing small trinkets from idiots. This was more challenging. ”We are back! And this can be our first scheme!” Ana said, referring to them being together again of course.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Zoe Allen •• •• Words • 582 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "Devil in Disguise" by Elvis Presley ••
