because you say so under your breath, your reading lips, "when did he get all confident?" ANGELO REESE ==================================== Angelo was back in the art room again, like he was so often. He spent more time in the art room than he had before, despite having the RSOR room as a place to create works of art as well. All of his larger marble sculptures were created in the RSOR room because they were much too difficult to hide. Normals wouldn’t understand if they saw a great sculpture done by a senior student. The RSOR members understood that he was Michelangelo and as a result it made sense that he had those skills.
So really, when he was in the art room he spent his time creating smaller sculptures during the off school hours, or sketching and using clay to sculpt during the school hours—and those pieces were intentionally sabotaged by Angelo himself. He couldn’t have people pinpointing him as Michelangelo. But truth be told it was hard to hide the skills he had. An artist style was far too dominant and easy to identify, especially and artist so well known. Angelo maintained a constant concern that his teachers or peers would make the observation that his style is awfully similar to Michelangelo. However, he also had an excuse.
It was the same excuse he had used on his wealthy parents once upon a time. He had once said that Michelangelo was his role model and he naturally felt a need to emulate Michelangeo which is why his style was mirrored in Angelo’s own style. This was a blatant lie but it had served him well up until now so why not keep using it?
For the mean time, it was after classes and Angelo had just entered the art room about fifteen minutes earlier. He had brought with him a chunk of marble that was only about the side of a cereal box. It was partially carved already with a man’s torso, though the face remained a block of solid marble. Angelo had been working on it when he had the chance in his Dorm and in the classroom when the students had long since left.
Unwrapping it, Angelo put the wrapping (which was an apron) on and proceeded to start chiselling away at it again, working more particularly to form the gaps between the arms and the body and actually forming the arms, which were barely started. As per usual he had turned on the music player and it was playing classical music. It was one of the few electronics Angelo made sure he knew how to use. It was a different experience sculpting with music when before this life he had done so in silence, but it was also peaceful.
It didn’t take long for Angelo’s already dusty and paint covered clothes to gather marble dust on them as well. He wasn’t expecting anyone and his concentration was set upon the sculpture in front of him. Generally when he got in this mode he paid less attention to the door, but having had an incident that left him a member in RSOR, he was certainly not about to keep his focus too completely off the art room door. As a result he was turned toward it so he could at least see it in his peripherals and so that his sculpture was pointed toward him with no details viewable from the door. Other than that his eyes and attention were on the work in front of him.

• GIVE ME A DISASTER GIVE ME AN EMERGENCY •STAND ME AT THE HEAD OF THE CRUSADE WITHOUT A REMEDY ; Clara was a dedicated teacher. It was true. She was loyal and it made the students love her. On the other hand, her new husband absolutely hated it. She was gone much longer than she should be. School ended around three thirty. His belief was that she could be home by five and not do school related work for the rest of the night. It didn't work like that though! She gave her all into making sure that her students received her time individually with all the work they did. With art, she had to make sure she spent a lot of time per project to understand what the message was. With music, she listened to recorded playing tests over and over again to make sure she could fairly judge who deserved solos. It took a lot of time to do such things properly!
Clara couldn't admit to herself that the other reason she didn't like being home until six thirty or seven was because she didn't want to spend all that much time with her husband. Her husband was a fantastic man who loved her very much. There was just one problem: he wasn't Albert. She tried to get over it, but her Prince Albert... As Queen Victoria, she had spiraled into a deep depression after his death. Now, there was about a century in between her past life and her current one. But she still couldn't quite get over Albert. And so, she stayed at school until slightly late hours to avoid and control her feelings. Once this was done, she could go home and become the loving wife her man deserved.
Clara sat in her office pouring over her Advanced Sketching class's self portraits. They were very interesting to look at because of how each student's interpretation on the assignment. However, she couldn't focus after so much thinking about Albert. She needed to do something with her hands and just busy her mind by creating. She had an itch to play the piano, but she was in the art room. So instead she would paint. Painting always made her feel more at home in her own skin. Lately she had had an inkling to experiment with pointillism and she figured such intricate work would be its own distraction. The benefits of being an art teacher was that one had her own studio after hours. Sometimes she came on weekends just to make her own pieces.
Clara walked over to her painting supplies lost in thought until a small bust of marble came into her peripheral vision. She looked up suddenly; her right hand held an easel and her left hand loomed over the paints. She straightened up and put the easel down at the sight of Angelo. He was carving a marble bust? With ease? She had Angelo in art class a few years back, but it had been a while. Sometimes, he would come into her class and then leave after a few minutes. She was fed up with whatever games he was playing. And she had more questions about him now that he sat there carving a marble bust. Who taught him to do that? There was no class entitled "Marble Carving 101" at Riverdale. And he was a professional.
Something was strange about Angelo, though she couldn't put a finger on what. It could be a reincarnate thing since reincarnates were a major faction at Riverdale, or so Ethel had told her. Clara did not want students to know about her other identity, so even if he was a reincarnate, she couldn't say anything about it without spilling her secret. There had to be a normal explanation for this. Either way, she was fed up. Clara was done with this kid who didn't talk or try in art classes that could sculpt masterpieces. "Excuse me, Angelo," she said with a slight question on the name. She said it gently as not to startle, but her voice was still strict. "What are you doing here? You need to tell me before you use the art room after hours for many obvious reasons." She paused, pressing her lips together. "And one other thing. Where did you learn to carve marble like that?"

because you say so under your breath, your reading lips, "when did he get all confident?" ANGELO REESE ==================================== Angelo would have noticed anyone entering the art room in the usual way. Of course, Mrs. Scarlett didn’t use the usual way. He didn’t expect her to still be around, to be honest. Though it was a wonder she hadn’t caught him sculpting before now. He was here so often, and usually he managed to remain unnoticed, and to be honest, Angelo liked it that way. If no one knew he was there then no one could bother him. He could go about his business on his own, and enjoy the solitary nature of his craft. He loved working alone, though to be honest in his first life he did spend a lot of time with apprentices and other such men doing some of the work for him. It never hurt to have someone else clean up your mess after all…
Naturally, his skill transcended the years of his second life, as he had almost nine decades in his first life to perfect his craft. He was still known as one of the most amazing sculptors of his time and he was damn proud of that fact. Though, it was far from going to his head and Angelo still saw his work as flawed and with something more to improve on. Though, most people would never understand where he needed to improve. It was more about the process and the small textures now than anything else. And he was still perfecting the art of making a life-like sculpture with no embellishments. After all, his life had been spent making models appear more athletic, or giving them smaller penises for example.
Now, after Angelo’s last interruption which was a freshman by the name of Oliver Winchester…or Orville Wright as he now knew him by, he was not ready for another. Last time it was the big revelation of hey we have a reincarnation club at Riverdale. But on top of that it was the annoying pestering and pushiness that Oliver had used that had left Angelo cringing. But his social skills we a bit better now with the help of RSOR. Now…when it is said his social skills are better, it’s more like he doesn’t shove people out the door as quick…even though he still does the shoving.
Hearing a familiar voice drawing his attention Angelo’s hands dropped and he sighed, spinning around on the stool to see Mrs. Scarlett. His expression was neutral and spoke nothing of what he was thinking, which was mostly along the lines of “Shit! Not again!” He waited for the questions he figured were coming, though the order they came in were a bit on the strange side.
”Working?” He answered first. He didn’t really know what else to answer with. ”I stay after classes all the time to work in here. It’s quiet and my dorm mates are not around to mess things up.”
He commented, as if it was obvious why he was here. His tone suggested he was almost concerned that she didn’t know. He had been coming here to work for years, just usually later at night than this. Now the second question…that was a bit harder. Angelo’s face still remained passive as he glanced back at his work and then over at the teacher. ”Private Tutor. he answered cautiously. Now, Internet might have worked if it wasn’t obvious to most that Angelo was technologically challenged. Now he had a private tutor as a child, but he had also been privately apprenticed by a grand master in his first life, and that made the Private Tutor excuse not quite a lie. And he could justify it in this life with the money his parents had.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Clara Scarlett •• •• Words • 614 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "There’s a good reason these tables are yet numbered honey, you just haven’t thought of it yet" by Panic! at the Disco •• •• Notes • Sorry for how late this response was. x.x ••
