Oliver couldn't disguise the smile that came across his face at Fred's praise whether he actively tried or not. Fred and Oliver could relate so well because of their similar (and to some extent shared) passions. However, their passions also slightly differed, allowing for just enough differences for their friendship to work at the level that it did. Winifred's passion was for the art of flying itself. While Oliver felt a passion for that as well, his stronger passion was for creation. She would never be a replacement for Wilbur, but if Wilbur was willing, she might make an interesting addition to their team. Not part of the creation part, obviously. That would always and forever be Wilbur and Orville. The tests, though? "I think there are enough RSOR members that we could possibly have a bit of fun with this." Some of the more intense designs he would not want to discuss in front of others (even the RSOR members he was more close to), but these models? Well, Oliver wasn't so worried about those as of yet. Being able to test little model aircraft with like-minded people...Oliver always did enjoy feelings of belonging, and RSOR gave that to him. A mini club within RSOR...that would be even better. Oliver simply nodded to Fred's assertion that she would discuss the matter concerning Harold with Isa. Likely the best course of action on her part, though Oliver wasn't so sure that he wanted to continue to discuss Harold. Oliver couldn't shake that 'off' feeling that he'd felt ever since that day in history when Harold blurted out all of that information about him seemingly unprovoked. No one had brought up his death so casually as Harold had that day. No one. And yes, it had gotten to him to some extent. He wanted something done about it, but as long as Fred was promising to look into the matter, he wanted off the subject. "Well, it was my first time taking to the sky in such a way since 1947." Oliver commented with a grin when Fred mentioned that commercial flight was nothing new to her. "Lenita and I went hang gliding a few days before but I don't think that counts." It was also their first date, which caused Oliver to look back on the occasion fondly. Oliver listened with an awkward sort of smile as Fred continued to go on about the improvements on the machine that he co-invented. He looked sheepish, but also pleased. "Back in the really early days, we didn't think planes would be good for mass transit. Looking back on it, I think our thoughts on the flyer fit a bill more along the lines of an automobile with wings." Oliver couldn't help but laugh in spite of himself. Well, early airplanes were essentially that. They could only carry one person in the very early days at Kitty Hawk and Huffman Prairie, and then two people starting from 1907 on. "The improvements even back then were stunning in their haste...I guess war will do that, though." Oliver sounded almost bitter as war was mentioned. The exceptionally tall and fat grandchild comment was not missed either. "I should probably speak to said grandchild about that. Maybe he should lay off of the steroids." He stated in jest, clearly highly amused. It was easy to talk to Fred, and he had a feeling it had more than a little to do with their having known each other before. "You'll get back up there some day. In the mean time, there's this..." He gestured to the model plane. "There's hang gliding...you may even be old enough to apply for a pilot's license once more. I can take lessons, but I can't make solo flights yet. I looked it up." There was something innately amusing about that. There was no denying that Oliver felt a pang of longing as well. A longing to be able to, once again, work with materials to reach a specific end point, and final success. Word count: 716 To: Fred/Jez-E Notes:

i'll spread my wings and i'll learn how to fly, i'll do what it takes til' i touch the sky.. WINIFRED YOUNG ==================================== Fred had a high respect for Oliver because if it wasn’t for him, she wouldn’t be today. She would have flown, she wouldn't have found her passion, and she’d be a completely different person. The Wright brothers had shaped her in ways that couldn’t be refuted. She looked up to them both so naturally she felt they warranted much praise. They had gotten her in the air and that was in itself a great thing. It was also part of the reason for their tight relationship. They were close friends and their passion for flying was a strong core reason for their friendship. And Wilbur was a part of that too. But she always felt slightly on the outs with those two together. They had a connection Fred didn’t share quite as completely. They had created a miracle together after all.
Fred grinned widely, ”I am not sure Isa would go for it, but I will suggest inner RSOR clubs. I think an RSOR Art Club would be a smart idea too. We have enough artists for it. Maybe a writers club too, since we have our share of those. We just need people to run them. Hell, we have so many politicians, scientist, etc that a few different debate clubs could form too,”
Fred added, feeling that clubs within the club was a brilliant idea. ”Only problem is that a Leader’s Panel member has to be involved in each club to get access to the room,” Fred explained. ”Then again, if a club is meeting, I am more than happy to sit in the room and supervise while doing my own thing.” Fred added with a wide grin. ”I’ll bring those ideas up with the leader’s panel, but first I need to see if I have enough people backing the idea to pull it off.” Fred grinned widely and couldn’t hide her excitement. ”If you ever go hang gliding and it’s not a date thing, let me know. I love hang gliding. My current mom and dad take us camping every year and we try a lot of different fun sports and entertainments. Spelunking and Hang Gliding amongst them. Not to mention the things we do on our big travel vacation every summer,” She added. Fred had a tight relationship with her family in this life. She had connected and didn’t differentiate between them and her other family from before. Fred understood why mass transit had not been the thought back then. Planes were too expensive to make and too complicated. There were too many variables that couldn’t be calculated and honestly, she didn’t see the value in mass transit before. She saw it now that it existed though. It sort of killed the real novelty of planes. She had worked her ass off in her first life to buy her first plane. It had been one hell of a stretch of work too. Fred bit her lip at the mention of war. She still maintain her huge irritability in the uses of the Plane for war. Earhart had lived through World War I and she was horrified of any idea relating to War. She had seen what had happened and how things had gone. She had been just as affected by it as anyone else. In fact, she had been a nurse’s aid during those days. And it had been purely volunteer. As a result she also didn’t comment on war being mentioned at all. ”Yes, I have to agree. Doesn’t seem healthy,” Fred managed to say matter-of-factly before laughing at the progress of the conversation. ”I hear he gains and loses weight like a beast though..” she added, referring to the passengers and their luggage. Fred nodded, the thought of getting in the air in a plane again was always in the forefront of her mind. Without that promise, she’d have had a hard time. She’d manage as always, but it would have been like a physical hurt to know she couldn’t fly again. Like losing a limb really. ”I am pretty sure I am. My parents would encourage it too. I should look into it this summer but I am pretty sure I won’t be able to pay for my own plane for some time…” she added with a smirk. ”Earhart busts her ass for her own plane, take two!” she joked, seeing a similar path in her future to try and get a plane for herself.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Open •• •• Words •741 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "Break Away" by Kelly Clarkson ••

Oliver pondered as Fred brought Isa's thoughts on the matter into the fore. "Well, I wasn't really saying to create a different club entirely. It would be a group of reincarnates, so naturally it would be an offshoot of RSOR." The last thing he wanted was a normal involved in a precious aviation club. A club where he could let his true self really shine...something that he could never do (at least at Riverdale) with a normal involved. Maybe at college, but not here, not when he was already the subject of talk when it came to Anti-RSOR. That said, Oliver liked where Fred was going with the idea. He was happy to hear that Fred would discuss the matter with Isa, because Oliver wasn't sure that he wanted to take the plunge himself. He was good friends with Isa, and they could hold both serious and funny discussions, but when it came to things like this, Oliver felt it would be best if a fellow Leader's Panel member brought it up to Isa. That being said... "Shouldn't it be discussed with the others too?" There were six leaders panel members, after all. Though he couldn't see too many of them having a problem with it, if any. Really, Oliver didn't even think that such offshoots necessarily needed their own meeting times. That said, he was getting a little ahead of himself. So far the subject had not been breached between anyone other than Fred and Oliver. Oliver grinned when the subject turned to hang-gliding. "Actually, Joan told me that she wants to go at some point. Maybe we could get a group of people together." So long as the group wasn't too large. Oliver wasn't sure if he could handle that, especially given the nature of what they would be doing. Then again, if Wilbur were part of the group, that would make things a lot easier on him too... He laughed at her next comment. "I think I'll need to talk to him about that one too." His eyes widened a little as Fred mentioned that her parents would support her in her endeavors. "I don't think Judy and Ed would stop me from doing what I wanted to do on one hand, but I don't think they'd actively encourage it either. Well, let me rephrase that. Judy wouldn't. She'd be afraid I'd get seriously hurt. Ed, on the other hand, would find it amusing." Neither of his parents were really the adventuresome type, though Ed was more easygoing than Judy when it came to such things. She was quite protective of both of her children. He could only imagine how Judy would react if she found out what Oliver had planned for Cindy to help her get over her fear of flying... Oliver arched an eyebrow and smirked. "Busts her ass for a plane? Really? Why should she bust her ass when she knows two people who can build an airplane with very limited resources?" Obviously, he couldn't very well build a plane for Fred at this point in time. Not that it wasn't possible for Oliver and Nate to do such a thing (clearly, as they'd done it in their past life), but there was a certain absence of funds for such a large project, not to even get into the fact that it would draw unwanted attention from normals and (especially) Anti-RSOR if they witnessed Oliver and Nate doing such things. He also realized that Fred would probably want a more modern plane (and he didn't entirely blame her), but he found that he had to make the quip nonetheless. It was part of the fun of RSOR, after all! Word count: 648 To: Fred/Jez-E Notes: Wheee!

i'll spread my wings and i'll learn how to fly, i'll do what it takes til' i touch the sky.. WINIFRED YOUNG ==================================== Fred nodded, understanding what Oliver was saying. ”I agree to having them in RSOR. So for example, having an RSOR-Aviators club. It would be strictly within RSOR. Same with any others, RSOR-debate clubs, RSOR-combat club, RSOR-Art Club, RSOR-Music Club, RSOR-Writers Club…Anything the members actually want. If the Leader’s panel gives it the okay, I’ll post a RSOR.com bulletin asking everyone what style clubs they want within RSOR.”
Fred explained with a smile. Fred smiled, ”Plus, more than a few of our members are not comfortable around normals. A lot of them don’t want the chance that they could slip something valuable.” Fred said, knowing Oliver was part of that group of RSOR members. He had a hard time keeping quiet and Fred knew it wasn’t for a bad reason. Oliver was an honest person and a good person, and that made his lying not as convincing as it should be. That was a good thing, not a bad one, though it had its problems. Fred realized she did default to Isa. Generally Fred meant to talk to the whole Leader’s Panel, but until recently that meant texting everyone in a chaotic mess. Fred smiled realizing that she once again forgot that she could contact them all. ”Well I guess I could message everyone. Until recently we had to text and call by cell. So naturally I went to Isa first every time to see if it was worth messaging anyone else.” Fred explained. ”I’ll ask the entire Leader’s Panel,” She amended with a smile. Fred felt a huge smile break her face. ”I’d love to go and I think a group would be amazing. We can get all the real adventurous spirits out there for some fun!” Fred added. She loved a good adventure and she also loved activities that gave a short rush. Hang Gliding was amazing and it felt so close to flying…it was worth it. Fred laughed along with Oliver as they continued to joke about the children of the Wright Brothers being today’s planes. It was quite the amusing metaphor at this point. Though it had reached the end of its amusement and it was time to let it drop. Fred’s modern parents were amazing. She couldn’t have asked for a better second set of parents. In fact she loved her second life siblings too. She had a whole family who loved her and loved the same things and had the same adventurous spirit. It was perfect. They didn’t suspect a thing either, which could be Fred’s social personality or it could be simply that Fred was so natural around them they had no reason to suspect. Both made sense. ”Teddy and Anne are great people. I couldn’t have been reborn to a better family.” Fred smiled widely. ”Both Anne and Teddy encourage activities. They also encourage exploration and anything we feel like doing. They just want us to live a little and have a little fun.” Fred explained, her smile speaking the adoration she felt for her parents. Fred felt the smiled leak across her face expressing how devious she felt. ”So if I paid for higher quality supplies would the two of you make me a full scale one?” She asked, her grin speaking wonders. ”Just needs room for one!” Fred explained. Her mind was going nuts at the idea of having her own plane again. Now she just needed to secure a good place to build it for them if they agreed. Surely her parents wouldn’t mind them using the garage for a little school ‘art project’. Fred believed easily that Orville and Wilbur could pull it off and create a modern plane. She knew it right from the moment Orville suggested the idea. She also knew it would take time, and she had plenty of that for now.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Open •• •• Words • 636 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "Break Away" by Kelly Clarkson ••

Oliver figured that any such clubs would be kept strictly within RSOR simply because of the nature and the inherent danger involved with possibly including a normal, yet it was reassuring nonetheless to hear Fred's take on the matter. He had to grin a little at Fred's next comment. "Well, you certainly can't blame them, given the dangerous involved..." Oliver wasn't all that comfortable around normals anyway, but thanks to the Anti-RSOR, Oliver was even more cautious around them than he was before. Or he tried to be, at least. It seemed as though almost every encounter with a normal resulted in Oliver saying something that could be used against him by the Anti-RSOR. It was immensely frustrating. "Phone tag? Really? I would have thought you would have had something set up on RSOR.com." Little did Oliver know that Fred had actually put in this suggestion, and that this was the whole reason behind why they didn't have to play phone tag anymore. Although phone tag could be rather fun at times. He and Isabella had played their own game of it for months on end now. Though when it came to executive decisions with the leader's panel...yes, there was a better way than phone tag. Oliver smiled a little, fully expecting Fred's excitement. "Perhaps it could be the first order of business for the RSOR Aviators Club, if the club ever gets off the ground." Oliver's smile grew in size at the play on words. It was hard not to smile as Fred explained how well she got along with her current parents. It was a bittersweet smile, however, as Oliver was reminded of his strained relationship with his own current parents. He did care for them, of course, but it was clear that Fred and her current family had numerous things in common. The Youngs were the perfect family for Amelia Earhart. Oliver and Cindy, however...they had each other, but their parents...their parents were different. Fortunately, the subject changed to a much easier one for Oliver to discuss. Fred's devious smile was contagious, and soon Oliver was grinning again as well. This time, the expression reached his eyes, and it was clear that he shared in the excitement that Fred felt. "Oh, I think Wilbur and I stand a good chance at succeeding with that proposal." Oliver grinned. Fred's statement almost sounded like a challenge...and when it came to mechanical challenges, Oliver was not one to shy away. Plus, the sheer amount of fun that would be had...one would be hard pressed to find Oliver happier than when he was with people he cared about working on machinery. The two most important things to him. Fred's mind wasn't the only one going a mile a minute at all of the prospects. Fred's last statement might have deflated his optimism a tad, but not to the point where it outwardly appeared in Oliver's visage. In fact, Oliver let out a laugh. "Not going to be able to fit a plane in your dorm? Hmm, I could see where that would pose a problem. We'll wing something though." Oh dear, another pun. Those were quite common as of late. Word count: 560 To: Fred/Jez-E Notes: Now I picture a giant plane in Fred's dorm. XD

i'll spread my wings and i'll learn how to fly, i'll do what it takes til' i touch the sky.. WINIFRED YOUNG ==================================== Fred nodded in agreement. ”It wouldn’t be so bad if the whole school wasn’t aware that there is a club with a secret that gets their run of the school. People feel left out and I’ve seen that. Anti-RSOR for example doesn’t really anger me so much as my pitying them. They are the ones who are most hurt by the secrets of reincarnation, but they won’t be in the loop in their life time. It’s really depressing honestly. And it’s also why we are best remaining with people who are like us. It’s the reason RSOR was formed. Normals just can’t know,”
Fred said sadly. ”And the secrets are not just hard on Normals either. RSOR members have the horror of keeping a secret from loved ones; family, friends and anyone from the Normal community. It’s just a nasty circumstance all around but we can’t change who we are so we should accommodate for it instead,” Fred added on a more positive note. ”With Anti-RSOR sticking their nose in we are in an even more precarious circumstance. So hopefully we can ease out of that. We have always have something in motion to try and keep them on their toes, or at least we can keep planting ideas. It’s always fun to have a ‘meaningful’ conversation with another RSOR member and let them snoop in on the false information being exchanged.” Fred added with a grin. ”Makes me feel like a secret agent or something.” she added with a grin. Fred grinned widely as Oliver addressed the RSOR.com/phone tag issue. ”Actually, we just set something up on RSOR.com. My idea…It should make things easier if the Leader’s Panel gets into the habit of checking it. Some of them don’t seem too keen on having to check it like an e-mail.” Fred said, explaining it as best she could. ”Phones are still best for immediate contact.” Fred added with a shrug. ”It beats permanent phone tag though.” Fred almost laughed as Oliver fused two parts of their conversation together, taking her plane and RSOR-Aviators into the mix. ”I think that we should probably start a bit smaller in the club at first so people less flight inclined who are in the club can have a little fun with it too. Not to mention we’d need a space to build a plane where we could actually get it outside afterward. I am pretty sure the Football field is a bit public…not to mention I’d have to fly it home. That may draw some attention when I did take it back to London.” Fred laughed. Though, the play on words had been amusing as hell. She was never going to get tired of inside jokes with plays on wording. Like the Wright/right joke. Fred didn’t miss the change in subject and Oliver’s lack of comment in regards to parents. She let that fall and left it alone, knowing Oliver lacked that relationship with his current parents that Fred had with hers. It happened and some RSOR members couldn’t handle their parents in this life. It was difficult when you considered that you had loved ones from before that was long gone now. Especially if you were all about family like Orville’s family was. Fred felt her grin growing with the plane idea, and Oliver’s smile was now matching her own which was always a good sign. ”I should hope so. I’d be so discouraged to know the creators of the plane couldn’t make a plane if they had the supplies to do so,” Fred said, with mock sarcasm, her amused grin dislodging any chance it was real sarcasm. Fred laughed at the pun and the idea of a plane in her dorm room, ”I am pretty sure Kass and Cindy wouldn’t appreciate a Plane in our dorm. First you’d have to build me a launch pad in the dorm so I could actually fly it.” Fred explained with a laugh. ”Maybe we can arrange something with my parents and use their Garage. I imagine we’ll be done school by the time it’s finished either way. And that way we can make it big enough for all of us.” [/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Open •• •• Words • 696 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "Break Away" by Kelly Clarkson ••

Oliver understood where Fred was coming from with her arguments in defense of Anti-RSOR (well, perhaps not in defense, but in attempt to justify their actions to some extent?). It was annoying, yes, but Oliver knew all too well how it felt to be left out of something and how terrible that felt. However, he just did not feel safe with normals knowing about RSOR. It was a catch 22, really. The worst part was that most Anti-RSOR members were upset about the secrets and the supposed favoritism that was shown to RSOR, when RSOR absolutely had to remain secret. It was something that most normals would never dream of in a million years unless the truth was waved in their face, or they received some heavy duty hints. Obviously it was possible (again evidenced by the one "normal" girl who knew), but the chances of the Anti-RSOR group finding the answer was slim to none, especially with what they had to go on. Even the connection they'd made between Oliver and Orville wasn't leading them anywhere, which was honestly kind of sad. Oliver grinned a little at Fred's next words. "That might be fun." He wouldn't mind throwing Anti-RSOR off their tail while appearing to do them a favor. The problem with Oliver was that he wasn't the best in confrontation, especially with someone who intimidated him. If, however, he had a conversation with someone like Fred, strategically placed and planned ahead of time...that would be easier to control. He wouldn't be intimidated talking to one of his friends, would he? "I'd like to know what sort of information they do have, to be honest. I mean, I know they know more about me than pretty much everyone in RSOR, thanks to Errol's borderline breaking and entering." Borderline only because yes, Oliver had unlocked and opened the door, but Errol had barged in before Oliver could do anything about it. It still wasn't right if you asked him. Oliver shrugged and smiled a little. "Permanent phone tag can be fun, but I'm not sure so much about multiple people. Isabella and I are currently trying to set the record for the longest phone tag chain ever, however...we've been going for months now." And it didn't look as though they'd stop any time soon either. Still, continually sending voicemails back and forth between two people was a lot different than what the Leader's Panel had to deal with with it's six members...plus, the Leader's Panel needed to make quick decisions, and phone tag didn't exactly befit that very well. The smile on Oliver's face slipped a little when Fred suggested that they start smaller for the Aviation Club idea. "What were you thinking, remote control planes in the RSOR room or something? We could do that...and Will and I certainly have a fair share. We could probably bring in a few spares for anyone who wouldn't have a remote control plane in their possession." Because honestly, who at Riverdale besides Oliver, Nate, and Fred did much with remote control planes? Oliver wanted to work on something much larger though. Remote control planes were fun, yes, but in the end he wasn't actually doing much. It was a fun hobby, but he wanted to move forward to the next level with it. "Well I'd be discouraged if an old friend from so far back didn't have the faith that we could do such a thing." Oliver quipped back with mock sarcasm to match Fred's. He knew that Fred had faith in them because she was the one who mentioned getting the supplies in the first place. Now, chances were that this wouldn't happen any time soon, if only because they didn't really have a safe place they could go to. Even the bowling alley would only work for small tests, and that was if they figured out how to disable the cameras so that he and Nate didn't get in trouble with their supervisors... Oliver laughed a little at the thought of a plane being stored in the dorm Fred shared with Kass and his sister in this life. "Well, Will and I do have a hang glider in our dorm, but that's a little different...and easier to take apart and put back together." Right now the parts were currently stashed away in one of the two closets in the dorm. Hopefully they'd be able to take that out again some time soon. "Then again, we're continuously experimenting with it, so that's probably for the best." Oliver added, then raised an eyebrow at the last part of her statement. "You sure that won't garner any strange looks from the rest of your family?" Word count: 826 To: Fred/Jez-E Notes: XD

i'll spread my wings and i'll learn how to fly, i'll do what it takes til' i touch the sky.. WINIFRED YOUNG ==================================== Fred had more than thought about what connections Anti-RSOR should have made by now. In fact it concerned her all the time that they could make the connection any day now. They had several tips that could have more than given away the club and their secret. Oliver himself was partly responsible, though it couldn’t be expected of him to be completely solid and never slip up. The problem was that he slipped up too often. It was a sign that Orville was an honest person that he was bad at lying, but it was too bad for the rest of the club. Fred knew it was better for Orville to avoid normals and in fact it was better for most of RSOR to avoid them if the risk of slipping up was too high.
Fred smiled widely as Oliver mentioned that it might be fun. ”We’ll have to give it a try some time. But we need to figure it out before hand and work out what to plant. Something witty would be ideal…something completely unexpected for them and so completely off course it takes them a while to realize the information is fake.”
Fred added thinking. ”I’ll get back to you on what…kay?” Fred added with a wide grin. Fred found herself fidgeting a bit, her hands moving over the controls of the remote control plane a little more compulsively. She was turning it around in circles in the air. Fred knew more about the Anti-RSOR’s findings than Oliver could know. Alison, Orvilles’s own sister, Katharine Wright, was spying for RSOR. Oliver was unaware of this however and had to remain that way. Though Fred was sure Oliver would really despise her for the secrets later, she had to keep it quiet. Oliver was not great at secrets and she knew that from the way he handled the RSOR secret and had slipped too many times. He couldn’t know. But the inside source that Katharine provided had told the Leader’s Panel more about Anti-RSOR than Fred was willing to share. In fact, she was not telling Oliver any of it and it made her feel a bit sick to think she was keeping something as important as this from him; especially with his sister’s involvement. ”Yes, I think we all know that much. But I think that there is more and less than we know. I hope that they have less than I expect they know though…it’d make our lives easier.” Fred said, not really giving too much away. She knew they had all the hints they could need to piece it together but they had failed to even consider the truth which was enough for Fred. Fred laughed as Oliver mentioned how fun permanent phone tag could be. ”I think that cell phones are one of the greatest thing of this age to be honest. Phone tag or not they are the most convenient form of communication. And having a smartphone to check my e-mail and rsor.com on is also handy.” Fred smiled, glancing down at her phone and then turning her eyes back to the remote control plane that was now doing loop de loops. Fred smirked, her eyes still on the plane in the air as she answered Orville, ”Something like that. I’d like to build and decorate my own actually…Perhaps have it look like an Electra…” She added, her tone a bit distant. Electras were bad memories for Earhart…well one in particular. But she was still attached to the model for the morbid reason that she hated it because that was the plane she had crashed in that had led to her death. She considered a moment… ”Maybe not. How about a Security Airster S-1 instead?” She corrected after the thoughts that went through her head. Fred couldn’t fight the grin on her face as Orville joked about her faith in him. Fred knew that Orville’s offer would likely have to wait a few years. But that was alright; eventually she’d get her turn and get a plane in the air again. A Wright plane she hoped. ”Well a hang glider is a start?” she laughed. ”Next thing you know, you guys will create a collapsible one person plane…” she said amused by the idea. ”That’d be convenient for storage. Not sure I’d trust it in the air though…” Fred added with a grin. Fred blinked in surprise at Oliver’s suggestion that her family may find them working on a plane in the garage strange. ”Hmm…not likely. I mean, my dad would be fascinated and I can’t promise my brothers wouldn’t snoop…but they’d be interested more so than concerned or seeing it as strange. I’ll keep them away as you work on it, but there is no completely hiding it…plus they’d wonder where I got a plane from when I showed up with one later anyways.” Fred added with a shrug. ”As long as my youngest brother doesn’t tell shouldn’t be a problem…he just started at Riverdale this year too so he is the highest security risk.” Fred added in explanation. Part of the problem was that Oliver knew about his tendency to slip up, and that only led to more slip-ups as a result of already feeling awkward. He enjoyed the company of a few normals, even if he felt as though he couldn't get too close to them. Not so much because of them, but because of himself. Because he couldn't dare get too close to them, in case they discovered the truth about him, and RSOR in turn. His parents included. Despite the struggling relationship that he had with them, there was no doubt that he loved them and cared for them. In fact, the relationship that they did have may be mended somewhat if only Oliver could reveal the truth to them. It was, after all, what happened with Cindy as soon as they both came clean. Unfortunately, with his parents it may not be so clear cut. How could he expect Ed and Judy to respond in relief to Oliver's stating that he was the son of another couple as well? To the fact that Oliver found it difficult, sometimes impossible, to call Judy and Ed Mom and Dad? No, there was too much potential for something going wrong. There was always too much potential for something going wrong. It was the reason why the secret was, for the most part, kept within RSOR. "It would be best if they never realized we were deliberately throwing them off the trail, to be honest." Oliver added with a small smile. After all, if they ever did realize that they were deliberately being thrown off, that would only strengthen their resolve. Oliver loathed the Anti-RSOR for their security risk, but he did have to grudgingly respect the fact that they just did not give up! If their passion could only be directed toward something that didn't threaten the security of their fellow students who only had one safe haven... Oliver frowned. "They seem to have made connections, but have no idea what to make of those connections." Oliver was referring mainly to his situation with this, though at the same time remained fully aware that he was not the only one Anti-RSOR had too much information on for comfort. The Wizard hadn't helped matters much either. Therefore, Oliver was happy when the subject turned back to one that he found interesting in a way that didn't make him feel uneasy. The Anti-RSOR was a subject that was always interesting, yes, but it never ceased to make him worry. The Anti-RSOR was always close behind, and what if they did make that final leap? It was disconcerting. "Cell phones are fantastic, and I'm quite pleased with computers as well." Oliver grinned. They make communication a lot easier. I still remember sending letters to Will and Kate, and knowing they wouldn't receive those letters for another week or two!" Telegrams at the time did allow for more instantaneous communication, but having the technology every day in the form of cell phones and computers was definitely something that the reincarnate inventor enjoyed. When Fred mentioned building and decorating her own plane, Oliver's grin widened that much more. "Will and I could certainly try to teach you." It would be a fun endeavor in any case, and all three of them would likely enjoy it. Oliver's main concern was if Fred could actually keep up and do it. She was a pilot, yes, and a fantastic one at that, but not so much an engineer. She knew her fair share about planes and could definitely include her input, but so far as teaching Amelia Earhart how to build her own flying machine? As much as Oliver liked Fred and respected the many talents that she did possess, this wasn't her arena, and Oliver had his doubts. She would definitely be involved in the process, though, Oliver would make sure of that! He chose not to comment on the planes that Fred listed off, as he knew the significance of them. He knew that her death was a very touchy subject, and thus respected that and opted to leave it be. It was somewhat odd, then, that he took the opposite standpoint with Cindy, but that was also a different story entirely. Cindy was his sister. It was therefore very much his business! He'd seen the effects of what happened gripping Cindy over the course of this life, and he wanted to fix that. "A hang glider is about all we can get away with right now as far as large projects are concerned." Oliver stated somewhat dejectedly. He and Nate had big plans. At the very least, they wanted to work toward a flying car (or, more realistically, personal and affordable planes). Given that when the airplane was first invented, their ideas for the future of the invention could be likened to an "automobile of the air", this direction was not entirely unexpected. At the same time, a conversation with Isa sparked his interest in another pursuit. Having been a member of the predecessor to NASA, NACA, the organization definitely held Oliver's interest. As Oliver worked what was considered "the next frontier" in the past, it only made sense for him to continue further down the path. So long as Will was there... Oliver looked concerned when Fred explained that her family would likely know about the project. "I suppose anyone would be interested to see a fifteen and seventeen year old working on an airplane." He responded in the quiet tone he usually when in mid-contemplation. He wasn't so sure that he wanted Fred's family snooping around in what they were doing...it just didn't feel safe. Then again, it offered a chance he'd been looking for every since reuniting with Wilbur in this life...his eyes met Fred's as he waited for her input. i'll spread my wings and i'll learn how to fly, i'll do what it takes til' i touch the sky.. WINIFRED YOUNG ==================================== Fred assumed that Oliver was already aware of his slip ups. It was kind of obvious to be honest, and most of RSOR and even Anti-RSOR knew Oliver was an easy way to get information. Fred knew for him it was better to stay away from normals. Then there were people like her who slipped so easily into a role of normality that there was no reason for the normals to suspect her as being anyone other than Winifred Young, the 17 year old girl with ridiculously good grades. It was just differencing personalities that decided what each person as capable of doing to hide their identity. Oliver was just too honest and socially awkward to hide effectively. It happened sometimes.
Fred often felt compelled to tell her parents about her secret. Not to mention her brothers. Most of them she pictured taking it well enough. And maybe one day she would tell them. But right now it felt like this wasn`t the time and she wasn’t sure what to expect. Her parents encouraged thoughtful adventure but that may be taking a step too far. They’d play along of course if they didn’t believe her, and if they did….well that would be wonderful hopefully. Fred couldn’t be sure. But for now, she was comfortable keeping it a secret from them. She loved them, and they her and wasn’t that enough. She was still herself, and her personality wasn’t going to change once they knew. It just explained some things about Fred, things that her parents could explain as their own upbringing of her. If they were happy with that who was she to change their views?
Fred smiled as Oliver mentioned it best they never realize it’s false information. ”Orville, let’s be honest here. Tamara and Errol may be normals and on their first round at life, but they are not stupid. As much as I’d love it if they never realized we planted false information, I can’t say comfortably with confidence they won’t work out it is fake. If it was that easy we’d already have them in circles by now and believing we have a false secret.”
Fred offered. She didn’t mentioned that they had an inside spy, but she had almost implied it. They had planted ideas, well…Alison had. It was proving to be not of huge interest. Anti-RSOR it appeared were still looking at everything, or at least judging by what Alison had given them and by what Fred herself had observed. Fred found herself nodding absently for a moment as Oliver mentioned the connections and once the words broke through Fred’s thoughts she realized just what he was saying. She nodded, ”Well, think of your first life. Both of our first lives even. Do you see either of us believing it if someone, say….Isa, walked up to us and told us she was Joan of Arc? We’d think she was crazy. Naturally reincarnation wouldn’t enter our minds unless the word itself was mentioned and even then we wouldn’t believe her. They are not likely to think of the truth and if they do they will write off quickly. In fact, that alone is our biggest defense.” Fred explained. It made perfect sense to her and she knew she’d have a hard time believing in reincarnation if she wasn’t a living example of it. Fred laughed, ”I find I am most interested in the internet as a modern tool. The amount of knowledge that can be gained from it is astounding. It’s just too bad that they limit the ability to access ebooks and information. And then what is free is far too risky as fiction. It’s intriguing. And the advancements in trains, cars…planes!” Fred added with a laugh. ”It really is astounding.” Fred found herself wondering what other people from her first life would think of the technology. What would George have thought? What would Fred have thought? She decided not to mention her past husband and her navigator for that final flight and let the conversation stay where it was. Fred grinned from ear to ear when Oliver said he would try to teach her. Fred had an open mind and was very intelligent so she hoped she could figure it out and understand when he did show her. She didn’t express any doubt, seeing as Fred believed she could pretty much do anything. ”Awesome. I am sure I’ll get it. I haven’t failed yet at an endeavour I have attempted.” Fred said with an excited smile. She did know it was outside of her ball court. And it wasn’t like she was expecting to be like Orville and Wilbur, just enough to better understand her planes. Fred shrugged lightly when he mentioned hang gliders being the biggest they could manage. ”You deal with what you have I guess. Wait till we are out of high school, perhaps then we can find bigger spaces to work in?” Fred offered with a shrug Fred nodded in agreement when he mentioned the fifteen and seventeen year old working on a plane. ”It’s alright though. They won’t tell anyone about it if I ask them not to. And if anything they’ll want to help in some way. Let me work out the details…they won’t be around for everything. Eventually they will get bored. Not enough hard-core action for them.” Fred offered with a laugh. Her family was super active and sitting around watching people build something was not exactly their idea of a great day.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Oliver Winchester •• •• Words • 918 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "Break Away" by Kelly Clarkson ••

As frustrating as it was for Oliver, he also saw some merits in being the guy that Anti-RSOR though they could easily extract information from. They wouldn't expect him to give them false information to throw them off of RSOR's tail, and with good reason. They took most of the tidbits they received from him at face value because...well, they usually could be taken that way. Why not take advantage of the unfortunate position that he was i? Why not use it to help protect RSOR? "I know they aren't stupid, which is why I even addressed the concern in the first place." He sighed in frustration. It would make things a lot easier if Tamara, Errol, and the rest of Anti-RSOR were simply grasping at straws. The problem was that they had information to go on (fortunately not all from him) and had the sense to use some of that information. Little as anyone in RSOR wanted to admit, the small group of nosy normals posed a big danger to RSOR. Especially with the keys. Even though it was highly doubtful that Anti-RSOR would get their hands on all fifteen, it served to provide Anti-RSOR with more motivation to uncover the secret, which was never a good thing for RSOR security. Oliver smiled and shook his head. "No, I don't think so. It's one of those things you either need to experience yourself or have an exceptionally open mind to grasp." He was comforted by Fred's words, and the realization that she was right - The situation was their biggest defense. "I'm still partial to the legion of superheroes theory myself." Oliver mused with a grin. Fred's positive attitude was contagious. While Oliver didn't expect Fred to get absolutely everything that they told her, she was in a better position for it than most of RSOR. She, too, was a pilot. He wasn't sure about nowadays, but he knew in their time a pilot had to at know at least something about the machine they were flying. At least she wouldn't be completely in the dark, as it would be if he were to teach, say, Isa. That was an odd thought. Oliver smiled. "That would be great. As it is, we have to take extra care with out current projects with the limited space that we have." It was frustrating, really. What he and Wilbur needed was another place like Kitty Hawk, but he knew all too well that this was just short of impossible. So really, Fred's offer was about all that they had, at least for the time being. The freshman looked grateful at Fred's attempts to assuage him. "That's good to know." It was a relief to hear, but he was still worried. Especially when he recalled that Fred's one and only younger brother went to Riverdale. The idea of Fred's family wanting to help out nonetheless brought a grin to his face, despite what else that might imply. Well, it was clear that they wouldn't be against the idea, but Oliver was still nervous, and with good reason. All it took was one of the Youngs blabbing to the wrong person and who knew who might get a hold of the information? A couple of high school students attempting to "emulate" the Wright brothers was a pretty sensational story, after all. And it wasn't like the Youngs could receive full disclosure as to why it was such a risky proposition. Nevertheless, the offer was honestly too good to refuse. It was coming from a leader's panel member who knew just how important it was to maintain RSOR security. Perhaps most importantly, it was a generous offer from an old friend, and Oliver could not bring himself to decline no matter what the risks were. The opportunity was just too good to ignore. "I think that is our plan then. We'll just have to be extra careful with your younger brother." Oh, if Errol got wind of what Oliver and Nate would be doing over the summer... i'll spread my wings and i'll learn how to fly, i'll do what it takes til' i touch the sky.. WINIFRED YOUNG ==================================== Fred nodded in agreement. She knew Oliver wasn’t stupid and knew he recognized Anti-RSOR as a threat but often members of RSOR overlooked the severity of that threat. Some like Raven would never overlook it she was sure, but some too for granted that they were secure and always would be and the secret never found out. The problem was that Anti-RSOR had some concrete information. As long as they didn’t interpret it correctly RSOR was safe though and Fred had confidence in the human mind. Naturally anything farfetched to the human mind couldn’t be the answer after all.
Fred smiled, ”I guess it’s clear I have thought about this at length but considering my position it’s to be expected. I am quite confident that we have little to worry about with regard to their connecting the dots. I am more concerned that they have too many dots and might get more. The more they get the easier it will be for them to see the truth.”
Fred added. She couldn’t help but laugh at the superheroes theory. ”I may have to get that rumour spreading around just for the fun of it.” she added with a laugh. ”I always love when people approach me with the Risk club idea. Always makes me smile and I always assure them we most certainly do play Risk,” Fred laughed. Fred knew she couldn’t be expected to know too much off the start and she knew picking up the mechanics of planes wasn’t something super simple. But she also had a desire to learn it so perhaps given the time and the patience she could understand planes better. She’d take something away from it…of that she was sure. She didn’t consider that her current knowledge base put her ahead of some. She just knew what she knew because that was what had been needed in her first life. She often overlooked information she had from before. Fred nodded in understanding, knowing full well that anyone who created anything in RSOR had that problem. ”Everyone is struggling with that. It’s harder with the RSOR room not being free all the time to work in safely. As a Leader’s Panel member I could use it any time I like, and sometimes I do, but ultimately I keep reminding myself that just because I can doesn’t mean I should. I really wish we could have easier access but the more people who can get in on a whim, the easier it is for Anti-RSOR to snoop.” Fred explained. She wanted to believe everyone in RSOR could be trusted to protect a key to the rooms, but some had already proven they were untrustworthy. Fred figured that for that very reason it was also risky to build a plane outside of the RSOR room. And the limited space in RSOR was not good enough for her intentions. ”Trust me. The only one who would say anything is my little brother. And I have a feeling he may be one of us. I am keeping an eye out for now…If he is then that risk is gone. I just got to ask my family not to tell anyone about it, and they’ll keep their mouths shut. Family is everything to them.” Fred said, smiling fondly. It was clear she loved her current family. ”We will be. Trust me. What I’ll do is I’ll talk to my parents about you two staying with us for a month or so…or the whole summer. It’s really up to Wilbur’s dad and your parents if it goes through, but if we arrange it in advance, at the end of the term you guys can fly back with me to London.” Fred offered. Her family lived on the outskirts of London, preferring to be in a more natural setting, and that meant there was plenty of room for having some fun.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Oliver Winchester •• •• Words • 648 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "Break Away" by Kelly Clarkson ••

Oliver nodded. "I've thought about it at length as well." Likely he hadn't given it as much thought as Leader's Panel members, who made it their job to do so, but given his situation with Anti RSOR it was a matter that crossed his mind more frequently than he would like. "The more so called dots they discover the harder they are to strive for more dots, if I understand you correctly?" Maybe that wasn't quite what she was saying, but it needed to be voiced nonetheless. The key incident was not so dangerous in itself, but the drastic increase in morale that Anti-RSOR received from it was. The Risk club idea caused Oliver to grin, as he was the one who first came up with the analogy in a chat room. "So we're a group of superheroes who get together to play Risk in the attic? Sounds perfect." It was actually touching on the truth, in it's own way. The advantages that many reincarnates had over 'normals' owing to experiences in their past lives did make them 'super' in a way. Plus Risk games were played in the attic, even if they weren't the main attraction. Oliver decided that now was probably the best time to bring up yet another issue that was brought to him. Well, to be precise, not another issue, but rather an exacerbation of an issue that already existed. "I was talking to Angelo. He's worse off than many of us. He has to share his dorm with two normals and there is no way he can hide any of his work anywhere other than the attic." He was worse off than any of the others, really. Oliver might have liked to work on his projects in peace, but at least a few of them he could risk others seeing, or they were small enough to hide. Angelo tended to make life-sized sculptures or large paintings there were impossible to hide. Sure, he had those sketches that Oliver glimpsed, first making suspicious arise, but those weren't what Angelo truly enjoyed doing, and Oliver knew that. He could only imagine what it would be like to room with Hayden and Harold. Oliver looked somewhat bewildered at Fred's latest reveal. "One of us?" A reincarnate, obviously, and one would think that if anyone knew about her brother it would be Fred herself, but it was still a surprise to hear. A pleasant one too, if it turned out to be a correct assumption. Not that the danger would be completely out of the way, but having another member of RSOR there to help with security would be very helpful. At the words "family is everything to them", Oliver smiled fondly as well. Oliver could very much relate to that sentiment, and he was happy to see that there were still some families out there, and that this old friend of his was a member of just such a family. Especially after the questionable family she'd had in her past life. "Hopefully Will's dad will be okay with it. Actually, hope Judy and Ed will be okay with it as well. They should be, I'd think, as long as I give them ample warning and don't just up and tell them I'm leaving for London." Although the thought of it was amusing, he wouldn't do that to Judy and Ed. He did still care for them, even if he couldn't fully embrace them as 'mom and dad'. "Commercial flying or real flying?" Oliver questioned with a grin, referring to their earlier conversation. It was a valid question, to him. Word count: 642 To: Fred/Jez-E Notes:

i'll spread my wings and i'll learn how to fly, i'll do what it takes til' i touch the sky.. WINIFRED YOUNG ==================================== Fred smiled and nodded. ”I have to believe everyone has thought about it at length. If not, then we really are in trouble. It’s easier for me to believe the best in everyone. I am sure you have already gathered that by now though.”
Fred was an optimist but also cautious about it because if she was too optimistic she’d trust too completely and that could lead to RSOR getting in some serious trouble. It was her job to keep an eye on everyone and she took that quite seriously. Fred sighed lightly. ”I agree. Sadly, the more information they get the more they thirst for and the harder they look and dig. It’s a danger no one can overlook. Anyone who does is a fool and a threat to RSOR, sadly…” Fred added. She shook her head, ”I hate to be the one saying that but it’s the honest to god truth." Fred laughed heartily at his analogy. When the two were fused together they sounded both ridiculous and surprisingly accurate. ”I think compared to average humans we are almost with superpowers since we have skills from a time before our own. So I consider that the best analogy yet!” she offered with a wide and amused grin. Fred listened to Oliver’s other concern. Fred had to agree that was dangerous indeed. ”For a creator like Angelo I imagine that would be a huge issue. He’s voiced this to you? This is the first I’ve heard of the grievance. If we talk to Hanston I am sure we can try to fix the issue…but Angelo needs to come forward himself. Can you relay that to him for me?” Fred asked. ”He’s one of the few I just can’t seem to talk with. He’s so reluctant and pushes me away so completely that I feel I shouldn’t pressure him.” Fred admitted. Fred nodded. ”I suspect very completely to be honest. I just haven’t found out the perfect way to recruit him yet. I will though, give me a short while and I’ll figure something out.” She sighed. ”I get the impression he is more aware of the world than he should be. And on top of that I get the impression that he’s hiding something. That is enough for me to suspect. But I need more proof.” Fred added. The topic shifted back to the plane at Fred’s in the summer. She smiled and shrugged. ”All we can do is hope it’s all a go. I can’t see there being any issues on my end in particular. I’ll put it past them next time my mom and or dad calls. They tend to weekly so I am sure it won’t be long now.” She offered. Fred laughed. "Well, the best we can do is keep them on their toes." It was the only thing RSOR could do to protect their secret, really. Some were easier to fight off than others, of course. The 'main three' of Anti-RSOR, Tamara, Errol, and Kodi, seemed as though they would stop at nothing to find out what RSOR was hiding. Which meant that RSOR had to stop at nothing to make sure that they didn't find out. At least it kept things interesting? Oliver chuckled as Fred saw the merits of his analogy. "Of course we're superheroes! We can fly, you know." Which was perhaps most amusing in, once again, it's truthfulness. Both he and Fred could fly, albeit with the aid of machines. That said, Oliver had worked hard for his ability to fly. While comic book superheroes had to be exposed to radiation, or undergo spontaneous mutations in their DNA, Oliver and his past brother went through years of experiments and research to create a machine that was capable of doing so. Sure, he couldn't fly without the aid of a machine like those men in the comic books, but he and his brother made their own machine. That definitely counted for something! Then the subject turned to Angelo. "He told me, yes. I don't think he speaks to many period. It's ironic that I'm one of the few people he does speak to, considering when I was recruiting him he was throwing up signs all over the place telling me he wanted to be left alone." If not for the fact that Oliver wanted to do his duty as a recruiter, he would have left Angelo alone too. It was odd how that happened, and how Oliver was now one of Angelo's closest friends at Riverdale, if not the closest. And to think, if Oliver had been left to his own devices, if he hadn't had the job of recruiter thrust upon him by Isa...none of it would have happened. Who knew if Angelo would even be in RSOR in that case? Oliver's eyes went wide at Fred's words. "Completely?" It sounded as though she was very confident that her brother was one of them. That was a comfort, especially if he and Nate did fly out to England over the summer. There would be another person to aid in hiding anything suspicious. "Any ideas on who he is?" Oliver was even more curious now. He barely knew the guy, even though he considered Fred to be his closest female friend other than his sisters. Yet if he was a reincarnate, and Fred was almost positive of it, what made her so sure? "Well, you won't be flying away from home to another continent. I'm sure that helps matters on your end a bit." He countered with a grin. Well, she did have that going for her. The only issue for the Youngs would be accommodating guests, and Oliver and Nate weren't very demanding guests. On trips during their past life, they'd often built their own shelter, even preferring to stay at their hangars rather than hotels while in Europe. The corners of Oliver's mouth turned up into a smirk. "Just checking." Word count: 642 To: Fred/Jez-E Notes:
