INE TEMPORAL LOCK
So, as all of you have noticed, INE does move real-time in many ways, such as it being Halloween when it's Halloween, and so on. So, as the "school year" winds down, what do we do? Does everyone move up a grade? What happens to everyone?
Well, Riverdale is not a town that can support post-secondary, nor would it make sense to put one in - think about it: would you stay in a small college of you could get out, and most kids (RSOR moreso) can? No. Exactly. So, to solve this issue, INE is going to fall under a temporal lock.
A "temporal lock" or "time warp", is basically a loophole that many rp sites use when they reach a certain age, to avoid having to kill off or remove characters and replace them with new ones.
WHAT THIS MEANS
Ever seen Dora the Explorer? We'll use this as an example. Dora's original run was in 2000, and in those cartoons, she was 7. By that standard, Dora the Explorer would be 14 in 2007, and 18 now - the same age as me! But clearly, she is still 7, but it's still assumed every episode for the past 11 years has happened to her.
The same will apply for INE - no one moves in grades, but no one loses her memories of the past year, either. In regards to birthdays, your characters can still have them, but might not age at all. For this example, let's take my character, Isabella Avadore, and a made up charrie, Bob.
Last September, Isabella was 16, and Bob was 15. Both are sophomores. When Bob's birthday came, his rper had the option of aging him up to 16, or leaving him at 15. She chose to age him up. When Isabella's birthday comes, I can't age her up, because then she'd be too old to be a sophomore. I can still have her have a birthday, she just can't age. When Bob's next birthday comes, he also cannot age.
If you really want to avoid bios looking off with birth dates, go to your charrie's bio on their birthday and just modify the birth year. Simple. : )
Unfortunately, if anyone wanted to move their charrie up in grade, they can't do so - no exceptions.
