Personal Style: Kimaya's style changes from day to day. She doesn't put a lot of thought into her clothing choices. She just wears the first thing that appeals to her that day. She usually wears jeans, but she does own a skirt or two. Like most teenage girls, Kimaya likes to look cute in what she's wearing. She wears mostly dark colors, especially green and purple. There really isn't any one word to describe Kimaya's style. She wears very little makeup – usually just light eyeliner and mascara.
Appearance: First things first, Kimaya is short for her age, and she knows this. It runs in her family. She's thin, but not overly so. She looks healthy. She has dark brown eyes, with light flecks of green. She isn't overly tan, nor is she overly pale. Her complexion is always clear, and a nice medium tone.
Kimaya's hair is dark brown, and she likes to do different things with it. Usually her hair is long and curly, although its not uncommon to see her hair straight, short, or up in a ponytail. She's has also been known to put different color extensions in, just for fun. The only thing she has never done to her hair, and most likely never will, is change the color. She loves her hair color.
HOPE AND HORROR
MIXED IN BLOOD
Likes: thunderstorms, boys, harmless flirting, hanging out with her friends, late nights, reading, bonfires, taking pictures, talking, all types of music, her alone time
Dislikes: being told what to do, waking up early, shopping, large crowds, studying, losing, coffee, unhealthy food, vivid dreams, watching tv.
Dreams: To overcome her shyness and become an actress
Fears: heights, childbirth, never living up to her parents expectations of her
Habits/Hobbies: talking to herself, taking random pictures, playing with her hair, zoning out randomly
Secret(s): Kimaya went to a therapist for almost five years to overcome her shyness.
Personality: The first thing people usually notice about Kimaya is that she is really shy. She's not really good at standing up for herself, although that's something she is trying to work on. Once she gets to know a person, she will open up, and never stop talking. She'll talk about basically anything, but she loves to find someone who will talk books with her. Her parents taught her from an early age that she needs to be responsible for herself, so she's not spoiled.
Kimaya likes to be alone. She values privacy over everything else, mainly because she didn't get a lot of it when she lived at home. Kimaya has never been overly rebellious, always doing what she's told, but she resents it. She wishes she could be the kind of girl who does what she wants, no matter what her parents or any other authority figure tells her.
Kimaya has a bad habit of getting lost in her own world. She likes to make up stories in her head, and often loses track of reality while she's doing this. Her attention span is basically non-existent, because if she gets a story idea in her head, she's off, trying to play out the story in her head. She has a reputation of being spacy, the girl who always has her head in the clouds.

History: Kimaya Waldor was born in Amsterdam on December 19, 1996 at 11:23 pm. Her parents and older brother Jason had been living in Amsterdam for a year, while her father was on sabbatical. They moved back to the United States when Kimaya was only a eighteen months old, so she obviously doesn't remember anything about Amsterdam. She was raised in the mountainous region of Knoxville, Tennessee. Kimaya was homeschooled for the first nine years of her life, and her best friend was always her older brother. When their parents decided they needed to be sent to public school, her brother decided that he was “too cool” to be seen hanging out with his little sister, and promptly abandoned her. This devastated Kimaya and her parents ended up sending her to see a therapist to try to understand her why she seemed to be almost depressed.
They eventually determined her depression was caused by her brother abandoning her, as he had always been the one person she thought she could count on. They didn't know, however, that Kimaya had been having flashbacks that she couldn't explain, of being trapped inside a secret room with six other people, of writing in a diary she didn't recognize, and of the horrors people shouting at her in German. She never told anyone this, as she thought they would tell her she was crazy. She kept mostly to herself, so her parents told her they wanted her to continue seeing the therapist to try and overcome her shyness. It never really worked, but before leaving for Riverdale, she made a promise to her therapist that she would continue to try and come out of her shell more, and to learn to trust people.
Before leaving for Riverdale, her parents tried everything they could to talk her out of it, but Kimaya was determined to attend the school. She had never felt that anything felt more right to her in her life. She spent weeks trying to convince her parents that she belonged in Riverdale She couldn't explain why she felt she belonged there, she just knew she did. Her parents weren't comfortable with this argument. They had always had very specific expectation for Kimaya, and they didn't feel she could reach her full potential at a school so far away from them. After a while, her parents eventually agreed to send her, with the promise that she could come home any time she felt like it.

Lexie raised an eyebrow as Journey snatched the sketch pad off the table the minute she sat down. Her friend was always drawing, but she had never refused to show Lexie anything before. Obviously she wasn't telling Lexie something, which was strange in and of itself. Lexie thought back to the last time she and Journey had talked, and realized she couldn't even remember when that was. Well, Journey would understand, of course. They had been inseparable for such a long time. Journey knew all about Lexie's goals in life. It wasn't that Lexie didn't want to hang out with her best friend, but there just wasn't enough time. Between Lexie trying to befriend the older members of Vocal Adrenaline, and everything else both girls had going on, their friendship had started to suffer. “It's not an ideal situation, but surely Journey understands,” Lexie thought to herself. The two girls had been so close for so long. As soon as Lexie accomplished her goal of becoming friends with the leads of Vocal Adrenaline, she would bring Journey along. After all, Journey liked to sing too, right? Lexie would just have to help her to become more confident.
She listened as Journey explained why her mother had to stay late at the school yet again. There seemed to be a lot of these student emergencies over the years. Lexie couldn't even begin to count how many times Journey had come to her house after school due to her mother staying late at work. Neither girl ever complained, of course. They used to end up at one of their houses every night anyway. Now, it seemed, Journey was spending her afternoons in the library instead of coming home with her. Of course, Lexie hadn't exactly been going home after school lately. She felt a slight pang of guilt knowing Journey was sitting by herself in the library after school. She should invite her friend to come home with her on the days she was going home from now on.
When Journey asked her what she was still doing at the school, Lexie looked at her bag and sighed, suddenly remembering the work she had left to do. “Make-up work. Already. I'm not really sure how I managed it this time, but it must be some kind of record.” Her ability to fall behind on her schoolwork was kind of an inside joke between the two, but this really was the fastest she had ever managed to fall behind. That probably had something to do with the fact that she hadn't been hanging out with Journey as much. The other girl seemed to motivate Lexie to actually do her schoolwork. Lexie was sure the only reason she turned in at least half of her assignments last year was because Journey literally made her sit down and do them. She contemplated opening her bag and pulling out her work, then changed her mind. “So why are you hanging out in here while you wait? It seems...lonely...” Lexie was truly curious. Surely Journey had someone she hung out with after school.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
