Personality: addie is a girlie girl. she loves to shop, and look nice, but tries to spend the least amount of time infront of a mirror as possible. she doesnt really like vain people because she values what is inside the head more than the face that is put on it. she knows she is pretty, and uses it to her advantage when she needs something to be done or gotten. but if possible, she tries to focus on other things instead of her own face. she is also very determined. this shows through in almost everything. her stubborn nature was born from her being a very spoiled child. when she was younger, she was the little princess of her family. she got everything that she wanted, and her brother and sister were pushed into the background. she is very used to getting what she wants, and may or may not go into a state of shock if she doesnt get it, depending on the situation. she doesnt really try in classes though, and relies on her charisma and bribary techniques to make her grades stay strong. that worked at her past school, but not at this one. the highest grade she has is in theater, and that is a B-. she has a C average in all of her other classes.
she is very charismatic, and loves making people smile because it usually means she will get something out of their happiness. that of course means that what she says may not be true. she lies for the benefit of herself intensely as much as she lies for others. she loves going to church and does so every sunday. secretly, it is to help her get over the guilt of her own personality. but this is again contradictory, because she doesnt try very hard to change her personality. it is publically to make her seem innocent and thoughtful. the adults she comes into contact with all admire her candor for God, while never seeing the ploy beneath her going. her catholic religion doesnt get in the way of her life, and she drinks, eats, sleeps, and swears like any normal teenager. she works in a soup kitchen after church. she loves to bake, and sometimes brings cookies or brownies with her to the kitchen with her.
addie is also an extreme partier. she loves to gamble and play cards. she does well with sleep deprivation, and this is good, because she hates getting up later than 10 o'clock. she feels that the day has been completely wasted if you have slept longer than that. addie is also very sarcastic and holds great value in being witty and clever. if you dont have the type of humor or intellect as she does, she usually finds you annoying and doesnt get to know you any further. she doesnt really hold any patience with slapstick or fart humor. she feels that it is immature.
a lot of people find her personality to be contradictory. this makes a lot of people see her as a faker, or stuck up. they think that because she goes to church and helps people, and then acts the way she does around others her age, that she has an ulterior motive and that she wants something out of the people she helps. her ambition and willingness to do things just for the benefit of herself makes people her age less likely to get to know her.

History: addie was born as the youngest child to marcus and adrienne ravensway. adrienne was the secretary to marcus, who was married to another woman. they began an affair and soon after, addie's brother gregory was born. marcus left his wife when louise was born and married adrienne.
addie learned how to walk at the astonishing age of seven months. her parents recognized her determination and gifted legs, and signed her up for ballet when she was five. her teachers saw she was very gifted, but decided when she was twelve that she wasnt what they wanted in their lead dancers. they gave the lead in their performance of the Nutcracker to another girl. addie wouldnt accept this, and began training and practicing in earnest to get the part. even with all of the practice, they still decided that she wasnt good enough. addie spent 3 days crying in her room. since she was the 'baby' of a wealthy family, this was the first time she hadnt gotten something she wanted.
she ended up getting the part anyways when she 'accidentally' tripped the other girl and she broke her ankle. nothing was ever proven or disproven. her parents were never prouder of her. soon after the show ended she felt increasingly guilty, and turned to God to ease her guilt and try to forgive herself. instead it became an inabler of her attitude and her violently competitive nature. she would fight for something that she wanted, hurt a few people, and then turn to God for forgiveness, then do it all over again. addie decided then that she would never let herself lose something she wanted.
when addie was thirteen, her parents got a divorce. they wouldnt tell her why, but she found out from her brother. their father had found a different woman, one who was younger and 'fresher' than adrienne was. as soon as she learned of this, addie's memories of her past life were brought out completely. before this event she had known something was fueling her ambition and her competitive and witty nature. she had no idea where the memories and ideas were coming from, until that day. she knew the feeling of being the other woman, of being left (killed) for the newer model. needless to say, all three of the siblings left their father to be with their mother. addie hasnt seen her father since the day they left, and hasnt heard from him, except for the yearly christmas present.
adrienne got a nice sum of money in the divorce, and when addie turned fifteen, decided to leave the state and her past behind. this was fine with gregory and louise, who were about done with high school and off to college, this was not alright with addie. she had just been accepted to the new york city ballet, as one of the youngest dancers in the history of their company. it had taken her years and years of determination and practice, of bloody feet and swollen muscles, and she had to leave it all behind.
now addie is in a city where she knows no one. all she knows is where the nearest ballet studio is. this new school is full of strange people. she feels strangely at home here, once again at 'court,' trying to please people who are un-pleasable, and trying to fit in to win some unseen force. she knows now, how to win the love of her classmates, of her teachers. she knows that it will take all of her wit and determination to find her way back to the throne.
