Oliver was always such a very quick-witted boy that there was no way to not be able to play into the palm of his hand and not adore him. It was such an addition to her benefits as a big sister that Cindy couldn’t help, but be proud of him and accept him for who he was and what he was. It was such a joy to have him for a brother that it pains her not to be able to quickly approve of all they were in.
Acceptance was the key to living on and she accepted her brother’s past and present. It felt good to finally and truly accept all of him, and if only she could do that with all of she then all would be fine and reassuring. She was still a bit preoccupied by some doubts to really bring out her innermost thoughts on her past to really accept her whole past as Harriet.
She smiled at what Oliver had to see to her about how she was like Wilbur Wright with her words. “I would like to meet him too. I’m sure we’ll be good friends together,” she said with a farouche of a grin. She was a bit shy when it comes down to meeting boys she thought was cute and little did she know that her coyness was foreshadowing how she would feel about the new Wilbur (dating him). Why do I suddenly want a durian? She thought to herself, but it was maybe because Oliver mention how she was with words and a durian is an edible fruit of a tree of the bombax family having a hard, prickly rind, a highly flavored, pulpy flesh, and an unpleasant odor. It tastes like bananas and caramel, but juicier or so I heard.
“Want a durio zibethinus?” She asked him with the scientific term for durian. “I only have a banana though my kyte is growling for caramel too,” she smirked slightly and chuckled to herself. It was more invigorating to the mind to say that just for fun. She winked to him.
She cringed and felt abominable at his next words after her own critic sentencing of him. She didn’t mean to put blame on him, but he was right about what he said to her. Both were right and both paid the price by missing so much in each one’s dreams and lives. She wished she could take back what she did to him, but the time was long pass and they both had to deal with it. It would take them time, but time was something they both knew well, and would again. Their relationship would only grow now that they broke the ice between them and knew about the other’s salubrious choices and secrets. It was incommensurable to comprehensive, but it was such a diminutive object to look at and with it they will have only good times, right?
“You’re right,” she admitted and inclined her head. “We just have to comprehends our disconsolation and find the solution to get pass this…" she paused, looking for a good word for their dilemma. She sighed. “We both know it’s pass time for it and just look forward to our new joys at discovery, Orv,” she said to him and walked over to embrace him. “I love you. No matter what, Oli, remember that.” She declared and her lachrymose eyes crested a tear with this heartache.
Cindy nodded at Oliver’s apology and dismissed it as there was nothing they could do at the moment to help her fallen siblings. She didn’t even knew if her big sister, Kittie was still alive or dead to the world. She sighed with remorse at the lost contact with her, and prayed she was given for whatever happen to bring this about. How could Kittie just walked away from me like that without no word back? She didn’t know, but she would like to and hoped her sister did too. Of course, even if Harriet lost her sister, Cindy wasn’t about to lost her brother. “Let’s make a pact never to allow the other to lost contact with each other now, Ovr-Oli,” she said, tasting the new pet name for her brother.

Oliver let out a small laugh. He was happy to see that Cindy would be willing to meet Wilbur. Then again, he had yet to meet Wilbur this time around. The thought of this made Oliver feel a bit depressed. After all that had happened, he was still not reunited with his old family. He likely would never be reunited with them again on Earth in their entirety, but couldn't the world at least give him Wilbur or Katharine again? As per usual, when one sibling got lost in their reminiscences, the other would pull them back to reality. This was the case when Cindy asked him if he wanted...something he'd never heard of before. He was mechanical minded, and therefore did not know the scientific names of various fruits. So Cindy's words had him arching an eyebrow. "...as long as that's not some sort of disease, sure." He responded in a lightly joking tone, hoping that Cindy would clue him in as to what she was talking about. Her next comments led him to believe that she was talking about food, however. "I'm sure they sell caramels around here. Or, at the very least, something with caramel in it. I know how you ladies can get when they're craving things..." Oliver grinned, stepping out of his sister's reach. He was only joking with her, of course, but fourteen years with Cindy had taught Oliver that Cindy could hit hard if she wanted to. "Well get through this, C. It's not like we haven't made it through other challenges." Oliver bore a small grin on his face at this point. To anyone who happened to walk up, it would look like two completely ordinary teenagers (though one dressed up rather suavely for a trip to the museum) having a conversation, a younger brother comforting his older sister or vice versa, not two aviation greats conversing with each other in their new bodies. In some ways, it was that. Oliver and Cindy Winchester were brother and sister, and Oliver would always have a special place for Cindy in his heart. However, he would have to come to terms with the fact that that spot in his heart reserved for Cindy Winchester was simultaneously reserved for Harriet Quimby. That would take a bit of getting used to. Then again, would it really? The fact was, Oliver had been living with Harriet Quimby his entire life, he had just not realized it. Cindy was not just putting up with his antics to humor him, she'd likely been interested in some of his antics! Flying machines, dressing up as though they were from the turn of the century (the 20th, not the 21st as they truly were in this lifetime)...he really had gotten lucky with this sibling too. Not only was she a reincarnation, but she was a reincarnation from a similar time, from a similar background, even with similar renown. She could understand him better than anyone else that he'd come across thus far in this lifetime. "Love you too, C." Oliver could tell that Cindy's mind was still elsewhere. He wished that he could bring a smile back to her face with a joke, but it did not feel appropriate in these circumstances. His attention shot up to Cindy's eyes as she indicated that she wanted to partake in a pact with him. His lips curved up into a small smile. "I think that's a pact I can uphold." He stole a glance around the wax museum, where he noticed Abraham Lincoln staring prominently at him. Oliver grinned, grateful that this had not been witnessed by anything other than stationary wax figures. A small chill went up his spine as he again realized that perhaps these stationary wax figures were real people he went to school with, but this odd feeling quickly subsided as he realized that just because several students at Riverdale High had wax doubles at the local history museum did not mean that those wax doubles could somehow communicate with living, breathing reincarnations. It was still awkward, however. Completely and utterly awkward. "So, what do you think of your wax double? Mine's not too bad, I guess, but it's still weird to literally stand beside yourself..." Weird indeed, but at least Cindy could understand where he was coming from with this remark. He let out a chuckle as he stared at the other wax figures. "Somehow Riverdale seems like a horrible place to have this display. Can you imagine field trips to this place?" Before being introduced to the RSOR, Oliver wasn't sure if he would have been able to resist a remark about how his moustache was off on his wax figure, or how his eyes were blue, not brown. Hopefully he would have managed to keep his comments in the third person, but that in itself would be a challenge. The knowledge of other reincarnates was keeping him in check...especially with the knowledge that one was his dear sister, Cindy. Word count: 838 To: Cindy/Leah Notes: Bonding time! XD

| JUST CLOSE YOUR EYES AND PUSH RIGHT THROUGH| | I KNOW IT'S TOUGH RIGHT NOW THIS WAS MEANT FOR YOU| | WHEN THE CLOUDS ARE GONE NOT A SHADOW IN SIGHT| | YOU'LL BE DRENCHED IN THE SUN WITH OPEN EYES| | ~~~Whoa-oh-oh-oh~~~|
Longest conversation this senior high school student had with her little brother, and she were quite proud of him and herself with this speaking out with him about their similar gifts.
How was she? Better. Was she happy? Yes. So why was she feeling a bit down about her brother? Because I don't want him to be disappointed if Will doesn't show up... She thought grimly, but she was definitely happier and feeling a bit better. One worry was in the trash and done with, and now she had this problem.
Cindy would like it very much to meet Wilbur and knew Orville would want his brother back. It must be hard not to have a brother you always knew not to be around anymore, but she would be condemned before allowing Oliver to go without him. She would keep an eye on things. She knew the feeling he was having as she was having it too; with her sister, Kittie, and her best friend, Matilde Moissant.
They do this service to each other all their lives, and it was hardwired into their very fabric of their beings to be the one to lure the other one out of their thoughts without really noticing it as they went. Often it was something unexpected like during the beginning of their tour of the museum with Oliver’s Abraham Lincoln musings. Or like she did now with the silly questions with terms her brother most likely won’t know about. Cindy giggled a bit and shook her head. “You won’t get a disease,” she assured him. She laughed at his comments on getting stuff at the store in the museum and shook her head. “I’m going to find a store that sells durians and have you try it out,” she told him, smirking and trying to wrap her arms around him. Oliver smoothly had step away from her reach. “Wise guy, I see,” she taunted playfully. "I will get you, you know?"
Challenges were apart of life itself and they had plenty of challenges they have won in. It was a contest of survival and wits, and with Oliver, it will be a breeze to win.
Cindy agreed with him on overcoming this challenge like they did with other challenges. It was very good to have Oliver as her brother. It was a good thing to having another reincarnate for a brother and vice versa. It was very easy to start enjoy life again with him at her side, and she couldn’t repay his understanding of the situations she been in or brought upon herself for all the money in the world and so on. She smiled at him and tried to get a hold of him again. She would win this challenge of wits. They would accomplish this demur with the acumen they have of the dilemma now that they know it well between them. She been, and always had been, interested in his antics and comments. He had the attention from her without him realizing it. She knew him better than anybody else (except his brother, Wilbur, if he was around). As they grew up together, they both had the same share of dressing like aviators or (she didn’t know about Oliver but) she during her younger years went out and climbs a tree to go hang gliding without parental guidance or supervision until a past vision happen when she was eight. Adrenaline rush was the answer to why she did this, but that story was for another day.
Cindy smiled, but it wasn’t a fun or relaxing smile, it was a solemn smile upon her face when she heard his agreement to the pact. She quickly made a grab for him and pulled him to herself happily. “Thank you, bro,” she stated with a sob of joy in her voice. “Means a lot to me.”
Awkwardness followed her as she looked around the wax figures around them. It was pretty weird to think of Oliver looking like that wax statue or she as that Harriet Quimby statue. She frowned and thought, They did me wrong. My hair was longer than that and darker in color, and my hood isn’t the way it’s supposed to be. She grimaced at these thoughts. She was very much comfortable with being Harriet and Cindy in one package, but really hated the people who drew her wrong, even though some of the artists were probably doing symbolism or something when doing their work. She inwardly sighed at this and looked at Oliver as he looked around too.
Awkward was too little a word to describe her feelings at this time.
When asked by Oliver about what she felt about her wax self, she couldn’t resist not to comment on her thoughts out loud. “Hair’s wrong. It’s longer than they did it and darker. It was like a raven’s wing, not like a hazelnut tree,” she stated as she studied herself. She felt odd to do so. “I wore my hood more forward. Where’s my scraf?” She questioned and posed to balance more of her weight on her left leg. She criticized the statue for a few moments before quieting down.
“I had hazel eyes, not brown, too,” she ended and was glad to have her brother amongst other reincarnations. It was a joy. “Gosh!”

Oliver watched Cindy closely, wondering what was going through her mind. It was a comfort to know that the two of them were on the same page now, but he still wished that he could get a glimpse into what she was thinking. "Hope not." After hearing her next words, Oliver was able to put the pieces together and figure out what Cindy was referring to. "Some sort of food?" Oliver questioned with a grin. Oliver was able to step out of her reach just in time to avoid her "wrath", and this put a large grin on his face. Of course, he was well aware that she could just take a step forward, but the two of them were joking around. It wasn't as though either of them was really going to jump down each other's throats. Oliver took a deep breath. No, they'd already done enough of that during this conversation, especially himself. "You're not supposed to tell me that. Now I'll be on the lookout." Oliver teased back. As he looked at Cindy, he realized that he was exactly the same height as her. Likely he would surpass her in height within the next few years. She was more than likely done growing, while he'd likely grow at least a few more inches. He hoped he would at least attain his previous height, though becoming a bit taller would be nice as well. Finally, Cindy was smiling once more, and he hoped that the smile would remain this time. This time she pulled him into a hug, and he did not make any attempts to fight back. When she pulled away, the smile was gone, but she did not look entirely upset, which was a plus. Rather, she looked contemplative. He watched as her eyes trailed to her own wax figure, and could not resist a small smile. "Weird, isn't it?" His eyes traveled to his own statue. He strode in that direction, stopping just in front of the wax figure that was supposed to represent him. As his blood sister of this lifetime made note of the inaccuracies in her own statue, he could not resist throwing out a few of his. "My hair's off too. Both the cut and the color's a bit darker than it's supposed to be. Maybe we should trade?" He looked toward his sister with a grin as she remarked that her hair was too light. "My mustache is off too." He commented, his finger absentmindedly going toward the area between his nose and upper lip. He could not grow a mustache as of yet in this lifetime, but he planned on trying his luck once again. Cindy mentioned her eyes as well. "They made my eyes brown too. They're blue." Oliver noted with a hint of a scoff, then quickly backtracked on what he was saying. "Or, well, they were blue." Oliver still felt strange at times look at his reflection, especially after just waking up from a long sleep. While he was there, Oliver could not help but do a glance over of his brother's figure as well. "Made Will's eyes brown too...and they made him a bit too tall." Oliver slipped his hands in his pockets, pondering as he continued to study this other statue. "I mean, he may just seem taller because I'm not at the height I was before yet, but it seems like they added an inch or two onto him besides that." Will had always been taller than him, yes, but only by an inch or so, and this statue seemed to depict something more like two or three inches. He stood on his tiptoe as if this might help, but clearly it did not, as Oliver retreated back to his feet. Returning his gaze back to Cindy, he flashed her a small, awkward smile. "You know, it's a good thing our parents aren't here for this." Part of him wished that they could confide in their parents (Oliver became slightly amused at the mental picture of pointing out the statue of Wilbur to his parents as one of the older brothers that he'd always insisted he had). Perhaps they could, in fact, but it just wasn't worth the risk. Even if their parents did believe them (and honestly, they would have to come around eventually with all of the proof Oliver and Cindy had to offer, including all of the 'strange behaviors' that both children displayed when they were younger), that would risk exposing the RSOR and all of its secrets. If something were to happen because of it, Oliver wasn't sure if he or Cindy would be able to live with that. At least they could share their secrets, both old and new, with each other, which was infinitely better than their former situation. Word count: 808 To: Cindy/Leah Notes: This wax figure thing is amusing me greatly. ^^
