Aria decided that schoolwork was not going to get accomplished, she had sat in her dorm room for hours and nothing was getting done. So to clear her head she had grabbed her notebook and decided the lake was a pleasant place to go sit and think. Aria had just joined the new paper or was deciding on it. She needed a good topic before she even approached the chief or in her head that was her plan. She wanted to show them that she had the guts and will to write articles. But she needed something that was going to woo them. She had many topics and the easiest for her was to write about women’s movements since she was Elizabeth Cady Stanton but it seemed to easy there was no challenge and she loved a good challenge. As she reached the lake she saw people fishing and others lounging with friends talking. She found a nice tree to sit next to close enough to hear the lake water move. But far enough so she wasn’t in anyone’s way of fishing. She wondered if fishing was easy, Aria didn’t fish herself but it would be an interesting hobby to learn. It seemed very relaxing except when a fish bit the line. She noticed a couple people freaking out and looking disappointed when there line broke. Opening her notebook she jotted down a couple of good topics but scratched them out wanting something better. A couple of days ago she had been brainstorming with her best friend Chelsea and they came up with good ideas but she was using them to win an article contest with in the news paper all ready. It wasn’t like Aria could bring used ideas to the paper it would look like she was copying. Rubbing her temples she put down the notebook beside her and decided to just get ideas from looking around. Although there was nothing particularly inspiring around. Aria took her phone out of her pocket and checked on messages but there were none. Earlier she had gotten a message from her parents saying they were having a good time in Paris. Aria imagined being with them, the smell of breads baking, the rich new language she could learn and the history there was to learn. She bet that she wouldn’t have such a hard time writing in France. But that was just a dream; she could never go to France now school was too important to her parents. Even though there had to be schools in France they traveled to many place for her to enroll anywhere else. Which is why they sent her here in the first place they told her she could have her own mini adventure. But it’s not like living in Carolina was an adventure it was just a new type of culture compared to Seattle where she was living before. Aria couldn’t lie when she first got here it was exciting but this year everything was just normal to her. Putting her phone back inside her pocket she wondered if anyone would be wandering around here. She had done most of her homework for at least two weeks but it seemed no one else was a head. It was almost frustrating how much she loved school and just wanted to learn. Then again back in her decade women weren’t allowed to do this openly and free they had to press the limits and looked rogue to go to school. As she went back to jotting down random topics she hoped someone would save her from herself. Words: 600 To: Open Notes: None

Time for a run, and out of the grounds. Isabella was always running around the grounds during soccer practice, or with friends, or on some mission from Him. And not in the town of Riverdale, exactly, that was too crowded for a peaceful run, when you had pedestrians and cars to watch out for in a rather small space. And not the woods, either, she'd gone there recently. No, it was time to go to the park and lake. It had been a while, it was open and sunny and she could always go for a quick jump in - there were plenty of places where, despite the 'no swimming' sign, people would turn a blind eye to someone jumping in and out to cool off.
Armed with nothing but a boys pair of shorts, a bright blue T-shirt and some runners, Isabella set off. Running wasn't much of an issue for her, she liked to do it, and it kept her fit. And she really never knew when fitness would come in handy. Besides, she missed how strong she had been in her past life. Isabella was very strong now - Oz "The Wizard" could attest to that - but that was no reason not to stay fit. She ran from the school to the Park, taking breathers along the way, as it was not exactly a short distance, then began to jog in the grass beside the bike paths. Around her, people were enjoying the sunshine, playing Frisbee, fishing, or just reading.
Isabella ran along the shoreline, sometimes running in the water, though in no deeper than her ankles, when she glanced around and spotted a girl by a tree. She paused, the water becoming still again, as Aria checked her phone, stowed it, and went back to her notes. Now, Isabella was no mind reader, but the lake wasn't exactly the greatest place to go to study. It was more of a place to go have a chat, at the very least, and maybe read a little for funsies. She raised a brow, and walked on over to the other sophomore and RSOR-ite.
"Boo." Isa said nonchalantly, as she plopped down beside the other girl, crossing her legs. "Are you really meaning to study or are you just bored?" She asked, figuring it would be best to make sure. After all, if it was the former, she didn't want to bother her. Isa changed a glance over at the notes, hair obscuring her face a little as she did so. It was just above her shoulders now, perhaps by half an inch. Time to get it cut soon, it was beginning to annoy her. Just an inch or two off, that was all. She bushed it back behind her ear, looking at the topics. Those were pretty random indeed, probably some odd English essay or something.

Aria had been looking are her notebook deep enough in thought she didn’t see Isabella walking up to her. That was until the girl said ‘boo’ Aria jumped a bit and looked up with at first an alarmed face but it turned in to a smile once she recognized the face. She didn’t know who it would be but was glad it wasn’t a stranger. She laughed at her self for a second thinking how silly she was to be scared. But it never hurt to be cautious, especially when you were alone. Putting down her notebook beside her, she adjusted herself a bit feeling uncomfortable in the spot she had once been sitting. “I can’t believe I actually got startled, although it is funny now that I think of it. And no not really studying, I’m trying to get ideas for the newspaper. Chelsea is trying to get me in to the class and I want to be extra prepared and write an article so they look at me more highly. It sounds strange but I like to look like a shinning star or just a kiss ass.” Aria noticed that Isa was in running clothes, and hoped she didn’t disrupt her from running. But from the looks of Isa’s wet hair it was time to take a break and this was the perfect spot, right under a tree in the grass. Aria envied the girl sitting across from her, she had always wanted to be a runner but she lacked the discipline. Even though she did work out and could do that with out a thought, she supposed running was just not her forte. Then again she had the rest of her life to try, try again until she got it or could get in to the zone of running. Looking back down at her topics she thought about making a health article. Aria picked up her pen and jotted it down and put a question mark after. It wasn’t a wow topic, every one talked about being healthy but if she could put a fun spin on it, it could turn out interesting. “So how has your run been? From the looks of you it seems you are under going some intense training. Which is always awesome, how or why did you start running anyway? I’ve tried so many times, I think the problem is I want to just one day run and not build up to running.” Fidgeting a couple more times Aria just couldn’t get comfortable. But shuffling around again she found another comfortable spot. She wanted to blame it on her old bones but this body was young so she didn’t have an excuse in this decade. Even in her old life she loved sitting at parks just looking about and getting ideas. So this seemed like the same old thing she’d be doing. Aria grabbed at her cell phone once more and put it back in her pocket. She had nowhere to go and nothing to do, but it seemed like a habit to have cell phone in hand. It was strange, yet it seemed perfectly normal. It was funny to her because in her past life cell phones weren’t even invented and now they were just as normal as anything else. Once Aria realzed Isa was there, she plopped down into the grass besie her firned, brushing some hair out of her face and looking out over the lake. She really could do with a smoothie or something right now, or a swim. But no matter. Isa looked back at Aria as the other girl began speaking, smiling and then giggling lightly at her words. "A newspaper? What class is this?" Isabella knew full well Aria and Chelsea both were keeners - once they had a cuase they stuck to it. Isa could say the same for herself, but not to such a great extent, she felt. After all, the two other girls needed no prodding from God to get the works of thier past lives done. "A debate one or something similar?" Lots of classes were offered at Riverdale, and Isa honestly wasn't sure what class this was, though she had a rough idea.
The brunette noticed with a bemused smile that Aria made a health topic right after she showed up, or really jotted down the idea of making one. Really, Isabella wouldn't call herself health-crazed or anything of the like. She'd been bored and needed out of her dorm. The workout rooms, while she used them, were mostly filled with meaty guys that were, in frank terms, douchebags. Running was just something to do, and it was nice to take a break from it in the shade with a friend. Said friend had a lot of questions, and Isabella shook her head. "I'm not trianing for anything, really. I'm just runningfor the sake of it, I suppose." She clarified, and went on, "I got into it from football, I think. Running all over the pitch, but I can't play football on my own, so I figured I'd run today, instead." he really wanted to flop back onto the grass and lay there, but didn't think this was exactly the time to do so. "As for my run itself, it's been good. Not too crowded, though I aviod more crowded areas on purpose. So what about you?" Isabella asked, "How are things going?" It had been a while since the two had really a chance to talk, or at least, a while in the timeframe of teenage girls, which Isabella still was, to some extent. She might have been a mature teenager in either life, but she still had no idea whatsoever what it was like to get old, or, for that matter, reach twenty-one.

Aria smiled as Isa found her words funny, but in all honesty she was a bit jumpy. It was probably cause she was deep in thought over her articles, she wanted them to be perfect. Although nothing was perfect, but she could try and do that best she could. Aria had to be amazing in everything, it was just who she was. Taking a look around, the lake seemed so peaceful and the water looked so inviting. Even though she hadn’t taken a run she wondered if her friend wanted to take a small swim. But her train of though was stopped as Isa asked her a question. “It just a class for writing, well for the school newspaper. I just want to get my voice out there again and I figured since I’m dong so well in my studies some extra curricular couldn’t hurt my resume for college even though that is a long way off. And I could do a debate piece that couldn’t hurt. Right now Chelsea is in a competition to get her self on to the school blog. I really want to get on the school blog too, but I think Chelsea wants it more than I do. Plus she’s been on the paper so much longer, but I have good ideas to keep this school blog going. Because who really reads the paper these days. It’s all about the internet where you really get your voice heard.” Aria listened as Isa answered her health question about running. She thought it was fascinating that Isa just ran for the sake of it. Nothing more and nothing less, she had nothing to prove to anyone just did it for herself. Which isn’t something a lot of people could say. Usually there was something else, like girls wanting to look good for guys and well for guys looking good for girls or just plain feeling macho. She noted that Isa liked football and Aria wondered if that would also be something she’d be interested in. Aria was always up for something new and interesting and football could be a fun sport. But she’d have to try it out first to see if it was something she would want to do. “Well if you don’t have anyone to play with I’d be interested in learning, as you know once I start something I like to finish it. And as for me well, I’ve just been buried deep in to my books the last couple weeks. Most of my schoolwork is finished for the next two, to three weeks so I’ve just been worried about this paper really. I haven’t realized but it’s been way to long since I’ve written anything. But besides schoolwork things are going good. My mom and dad are in Paris, France and I really envy them for it. I mean I want to travel around the world and them getting to do it just makes me want to be there with them even more. It’s not fair that this is my second life and all I figured I’d have more time to myself.” She looked at Isa but realized in her last life she didn’t really live that long to experience growing up getting old and eventually dying a natural way. Aria bit her lip for a moment she didn’t want things to get awkward they were having such a nice day. Glancing at the lake again the idea was very prominent in her mind to just jump in, be a teen like she was and have fun. “Come on Isa, I bet your hot lets jump in to lake and be childish.” Words: 609 To: Dante/Isa Notes: Sorry I've been MIA!
