It seemed like almost every time Felicity brought something up to Anya, she countered it with another worry of hers. Felicity knew she couldn't just tell Anya to push her worries aside, because it wasn't as easy as that, but she still wanted to offer words of comfort. This made her job more difficult than she initially expected, but she was doing her best to rise to the challenge.
Felicity smiled a little at Anya's latest question. "You might be nervous at first, but you wouldn't be talking to me about this if you didn't want to actually make friends. I'm sure they feel the same way. It may be scary at first, but once you get to talking you'll probably find that it's not so bad." Felicity's smile increased in size as she leaned in a little, acting as though she were going to share a huge secret with Anya. And, to some extent, she was. "You're talking to me right now, aren't you? I'm sure you were scared at first when I started talking to you, but now that we're into our conversation, you hardly notice, do you?" Felicity allowed a few seconds for that to sink in before continuing. "See, you're getting good practice right here!"
Felicity grinned herself at seeing the excitement that Anya showed when she suggested a fashion club. Felicity would quite enjoy looking over such a club herself. Everyone in her classes realized that she had at least some hand in designing her outfits. Most of her skirts were ordered through a custom design company, and thus she did not sew them herself, but she did choose most of the designs. She did do a bit of sewing herself, and she was actually interested in learning more about fashion, so to some extent she wanted to participate in this club on a personal level herself. Of course, Anya threw another quandary at herself, and Felicity shook her head. "If I can see it's bothering you too much, I'll step in and help out. We'd need an adult sponsor for the club anyway, and I'd happily volunteer." Felicity stated, as simply as if she were stating that one plus one equaled two.
"She shouldn't be taking your things." Felicity could not disguise that she was worried about this. She was going to keep her word to Anya, but she wanted Anya to keep her word as well. "Have you tried talking to Alison? I get that she's not around much, but when she is around, you should try talking to her. The two of you share a dorm, so that's already one thing you have in common. Are there ever any times where Kodi isn't around and Alison is?" Then again, there was a chance that Alison would be just as bad as Kodi...but if she was, then wouldn't Anya have said that already? Felicity's goal here was to get Anya to open up and make some friends, and she wanted to make as many suggestions as she could to that effect. As far as she was concerned, it was worth a shot.
