For exactly 5 minutes the world went silent, there were no sounds of any kind, birds didn’t chirp, the wind didn’t blow, children didn’t laugh, water didn’t flow. And when all the sounds came back changes had been made. Professor Charles Xavier was gone, having been in his office before silence engulfed the world; his wheelchair was empty, it having been discovered by Jean Grey. Upon alerting the rest of the X-men and investigating being done was discovered that Erik Lehnsherr was also missing. Neither the X-men nor Brotherhood have their founding members to instruct them in what to do.
They are on their own to find out what happened to the two prominent figures and what has happened to cause their disappearance. Other people have been taken as well, human and mutant alike, all in that 5 minutes of silence, the threat has no name and nothing is known, the result however is the same, when silence falls people vanish. Mutants and Humans must find a way to work together to figure out what is going on or the planet’s very inhabitants could be wiped out.
