Jethro played a much larger part in this than Ethel, though. He tried to get the two young women to calm down as well, and as Felicity didn't want to ruin the atmosphere at the entire table, she obliged to both his and the principal's requests. She didn't want someone like Clara to ruin what was prior to her arrival a good night. She took another sip from her tequila sunrise, grinning at first but frowning as she saw Jethro's reaction to her explanation of her dear Claudius.
"I do...why?"[/color] Though he was trying to hide it, his demeanor had changed so much that something had to be up.
