I’M IN THE ZONE, TURN
off my phone, i’ve got my own agenda
off my phone, i’ve got my own agenda
Vaughn couldn’t believe it. He really couldn’t believe it. In a matter of minutes, really, everything about his life had changed. Not only had he decided to come to prom, but he now had successfully asked out a girl. She’d said yes. He was dating Tamara Ramachander. Well, okay, technically she hadn’t said yes. But the kiss she’d given him, well, Vaughn wasn’t exactly a dense person; he’d gotten the hint.
They were a couple. He was in a relationship. What were people going to think, honestly? Vaughn had spent his time in America thus far strictly making it known that he didn’t do relationships. He was just a partier, he preferred meaningless hookups and one night stands. And now he’d gone and asked out a girl? Man, he hoped people didn’t think he was just playing her, just messing with her. Vaughn really had feelings for her. Partier or not, Vaughn would never have done that to a girl, no matter how he felt about her. He wouldn’t have even done that to Tamara earlier on when they hated each other. He had better morals than that.
He smiled, and after he kissed her back, he grinned. It was a huge grin, probably one of the biggest of Vaughn’s entire life. “I’m going to take that as a yes, then,” he said softly, his eyes on hers, evidence of how he really felt inside. He couldn’t believe this at all. He couldn’t believe his luck. She’d said yes, she’d really said yes! That meant she liked him too! That thought alone, above the others, astounded him. That feeling was the one that got him the most. She’d liked him back. And now.. now they were together.
