SING ME SOMETHING SOFT, SAD AND delicate, loud and off key, sing me anything • • • • • • • • • • • ARLEN HALDEN ! Despite being just a freshman Chi jumped at the dance to go to prom with Arlen despite his parents cautioning him against not so accepting students. He knew that there would always be people who wouldn’t approve of his sexuality, but he didn’t care. Not tonight, wearing a suit covered in stars with freshly died and streaked hair. He looked damn fabulous and Arlen looked at attractive as ever, so it was only natural that he wanted to show how cute of a couple they were off. He also got to show off his talent for dancing and his feminine hips. Really, just any justified reason to jump around and dance and cling to Arlen in a public was something Chi would hold on to. While he loved cuddling Arlen whenever he so pleased, he did try and keep it to a minimum to avoid any discrimination. It had happened before, and while his boyfriend was strong enough to handle it he didn’t really want any fights of bad things to happen. Tonight was going to be a good night filled with dancing and merriment and everything good and right in the world. The world would be kittens and sunshine and rainbows for the night.
After taking a break from dancing to visit the bathroom, Chi came back with damp hands from washing them and freshly fixed hair, skipping all the way from the bathroom back to where Arlen was waiting for him. He had a big stupid smile on his face as he did so, arms swinging at his sides and accidentally smacking someone. A quick apology was given before he fastened his pace and jumped on Arlen’s back, knowing he would be supported. Arlen was most likely used to this by now. Chi’s arms wrapped around his boyfriend’s neck and his legs around Arlen’s waist. “I caught a pretty boy!”
he squealed with a giggle, nuzzling his face into Arlen’s neck with no plans of moving, not unless it was to cling to his front. “I’m going to keep you and feed you and pet you and take you for walks and tuck you into bed and snuggle you and love you forever!” All this was side while he nuzzled Arlen’s neck much like a clingy cat would. My love for you, always forever Just you and me, all else is nothing Arlen wasn't sure about going to prom. Sure he didn't care about what others thought, it was just he would rather snuggle with Chi in private. Ah well, he'd go anyway just because it would be fun. He'd been to every other dance, so why not? Besides, they could snuggle any day. Today they would go out and have fun, despite the fact that suits were rather restricting most of the time. He had let Chi pick out his suit so he would match, being that he was completely colorblind, and he re-bleached his hair. After all it had started growing in brown and he was partial to it being blond at the moment. Somehow him and Chi had swapped hair colors it seemed, and before you ask he knows the color because he was told. Anyway, so he got himself dressed, and so did Chi, before they skipped off to prom. Sure a few people still gave them weird looks, but he did his best to ignore it. After all it was prom, and there was no need to ruin that with something as stupid as prejudice. Well, at least he thought it was stupid, he was pretty sure they didn't think so, but he didn't count their opinions. Thus he was at prom with Chi and it was all kittens and rainbows, like it always was with the boy. Arlen certainly planned on keeping it that way too being that he didn't want prom to be ruined for him. So thus they danced a bit, being that he was actually a pretty decent dancer, and talked to a few people they knew.
Then Chi had wandered off to the bathroom and Arlen was left talking to a couple before they wandered off somewhere. Now, all he had to do was wait for his boyfriend to return. Not like it would take him forever, it was just a matter of the hyper boy remembering where he left Arlen. That, on the other hand, could be a little more difficult for him. Seemed though it wasn't difficult at all because in a short amount of time he felt a weight on his back. Jumping slightly in surprise he reached back and held Chi up. It was really a good thing that Arlen was strong and Chi was light. Otherwise that could have been quite a disaster. It was also a good thing that Arlen was pretty darn used to this behavior by now. Hearing the statement he turned his head and smiled. "I caught one too." he said teasingly. Then Chi kept talking and nuzzling into his neck. The older boy started walking around with his boyfriend on his back and not a second thought about it. Once Chi finished, Arlen had to chuckle a bit and looked at him. "Is that so?" he mused with a grin. "And what if I'm a bad pretty boy?" he asked still teasing the younger boy that was on his back. Well, it was a slightly valid question, but it was mostly flirting. Which, at this stage in their relationship, they didn't need to flirt, but Arlen found it rather fun. Especially if he got the younger boy to start blushing. Made it totally worth it in his opinion.

SING ME SOMETHING SOFT, SAD AND delicate, loud and off key, sing me anything • • • • • • • • • • • ARLEN HALDEN ! Chi’s sisters had always raved about how spectacular prom was. From oldest to youngest, they spoke about how magical it was to slow dance with your crush and just be silly and dance with your friends. They raved about how fun it was to pick dresses and that feeling when you found the right one. You’d think that they were getting married with how they spoke about prom. Naturally, little Chi had sat back and listened, eager for the day he would get to slow dance with a boy too. It seemed too good to be true, so naturally he had asked Arlen to come with him. Prom night, the night of dreams. He wanted to share this with Arlen, eager to help his boyfriend with his suit. The colorblind cutie would have probably ended up in something atrocious if he had been allowed to choose his own suit. Arlen looked amazing, and Chi looked just as; not to toot his own horn or anything. He didn’t even care that some people were being nasty and making mean comments. He was too damn happy and excited and in the clouds to care. No one could ruin his night. No one.
Hence the jumping on Arlen’s back rather than running off to cry like he usually did when someone was mean to him. Chi was sensitive, but tonight he was too busy being awesome to care. He had his arms and legs wrapped around Arlen’s body and his face pressed into Arlen’s neck and that was where he planned on staying until Arlen’s arms or back got tired. It wasn’t like Chi weighed much anyways; he wasn’t even one hundred pounds. “A fine specimen, I am! You’re not too bad yourself!”
He giggled loudly and licked Arlen’s cheek with his pierced tongue. “If you’re bad then...” He stopped to think about it, looking out at the crowd at a height he wasn’t used to. He smiled and uncurled one of his arms from Arlen’s neck, reaching back to smack Arlen\s bottom. “That! But harder!” he laughed, wrapping his arms around Arlen’s neck once again. My love for you, always forever Just you and me, all else is nothing Sure Arlen had seen movies where prom was this big life changing event and such, but really he couldn't see how it was. It was pretty much a normal dance in his book. Though the outfits were a little more extravagant. That was the only thing that was different according to him. After all, it was held in the same place as other dances, and really the only reason it was even remotely interesting was because he had Chi with him. Though that was just his opinion, he was pretty sure most people would disagree with him on the matter. Especially people that went all out for it by getting a limo or whatever. Hell he had even seen a few couples arguing because the colors were slightly off from one another or it wasn't one hundred percent perfect. Honestly, prom seemed like one big hassle, but at least he had made it mostly hassle free by letting Chi pick out his suit. Arlen my not give a damn about appearances, but he knew Chi did, and making his boyfriend happy was much more important than insisting on picking his own clothes. So thus he was going to try and survive prom night without issue, and if he did then he wouldn't have to worry about such a thing again until next year. Which, was good being that he wasn't particularly a huge fan of getting dressed up. After all you couldn't really do flips and things in a suit without risking it getting a tear or something in it. Which, while that wouldn't be too bad, it would be rather obnoxious and probably a bit embarrassing if nothing else. Thus he would try to remain content with just walking around. Also, with being jumped on and carrying his boyfriend around. Both of which he was perfectly fine with quite obviously seeing as he hadn't told Chi to get down and instead just started walking about with the younger boy on his back.
Which was quite comfortable he had to say. Though he couldn't really turn his head with Chi's face shoved into his neck, but he wouldn't be complaining. Not like it was any big deal, besides he really only had to look forwards being that it was the direction he was walking. Sure he could walk other directions, but then he might walk into someone and it would be slightly hard to explain what the hell he was doing. Anyway, he turned his attention back to his boyfriend, being that they were having a conversation and all. Hearing Chi's statement he laughed a bit. He called himself a fine specimen, and said that Arlen wasn't too bad himself. Then his cheek was licked with pierced tongue and Arlen raised an eyebrow at the boy. Well, now he had saliva on his cheek, and no arms to rub it off, thus it would just have to stay there. Ah well, no big deal being that he certainly didn't mind his boyfriend's saliva. He would just have to get him back for it later. Ah well, he would get around to it if he remembered later which might be the only issue with it, remembering. Then he waited to Chi's response to if he was bad and blinked slightly when his ass was smacked. Well, that was unexpected and he jumped slightly. "Is that so?" he asked with a bit of a chuckle. Certainly was more amusing than anything he could have come up with. "Well, now what?" he asked the younger boy, as he was no longer content with just wandering around aimlessly.

SING ME SOMETHING SOFT, SAD AND delicate, loud and off key, sing me anything • • • • • • • • • • • ARLEN HALDEN ! Chi didn’t usually have much of a reason to wear a frown, usually able to see the sunshine in a gloomy event. After what had happened to his sisters he didn’t feel like he had any unhappiness left in him anymore. Yes, losing his sisters had been devastating and he missed them dearly, but he knew that he couldn’t just go on moping about it. They would want him to be happy and go on with his life, so he was going to do just that. He would become big and famous and be on Broadway and in movies and make them and the rest of his family proud. He could imagine them being pretty excited to see Chi going to prom with a boy that he liked, which brought a smile to his boyish face. They had always encouraged Chi to be who he wanted to, no matter what other people thought and said. Cruel words could hurt sometimes, but he just had to smile through them. Besides, if anyone was too mean he had plenty of friends to go hide behind. He imagined Chelsea would give anyone a run for their money with a few vicious words. Chi was thankful for the awesome friends that he had, friends that helped him stay on earth when he was getting too naively happy or put a smile on a depressed face. For now, however, he was going to remain on his happy rainbow filled cloud, which was otherwise known as Arlen.
He was starting to get a bit uncomfortable though, his legs cramping from having to wrap around Arlen so tightly. His arms also felt weird from having to rest on Arlen’s shoulders. Pretty soon Chi would be wiggling to get down, but for now he would stay here. It was only a matter of time before the Japanese boy got uncomfortable or bored, his need to be moving around kicking in in no time flat. Chi gave an impish giggle when the Arlen jumped from being smacked, acting like he had done absolutely nothing wrong. “Mmm, we could dance..”
he suggested half heartedly, finally starting to squirm. His hips wiggled and he started to let himself slide off until he was finally on the floor, prancing around to be in front of Arlen now. He took one of Arlen’s hands and twirled himself around, a bit stupid grin on his face and his cheeks flushed a bit. “Or we could go raid the buffet,” he offered with a pat of his little tummy, loosening his tie a bit and rocking back and forth on his heels. “Or dance. Or whatever you want.” He grinned still. [/blockquote] words: 446 outfit: clicky! lyrics: straylight run, existentialism on prom night. notes: <333[/blockquote]
