Yes, the junior could see Isa's point, but she was not about to admit that. For one, there was absolutely no way she was going to admit that she was wrong in front of Isabella Avadore. The other reason? The offending party happened to be a close friend of hers, and besides, she knew that he only did it for amusement. She also was aware of the fact that he actually didn't mind Chelsea all that much - It was Chelsea that was in arms over Errol. Well damn. Tamara certainly wasn't expecting what came next. Isa bit back, and she bit back hard. Obviously Tamara's idea at blackmail wasn't going to work very well if Isa was willing to go forth with having rumors spread about her. This was a problem, as this was Tamara's major weapon. She was mostly talk. When the talk didn't work...well, then there was a problem. The worst part was, Isabella knew it too, and even threw it back in Tamara's face. Had Tamara known that her own big mouth was the only reason that Isa even knew about the bribery she would feel ten times worse. Fortunately for Tamara, Isa was also right that Tamara had something else. There was a trace of a smile on Tamara's face at the mention of Hayden and his legion of superheroes. It was odd, this shared instance of humor, given where the conversation was turning. She knew that this ace up her sleep would at least get something accomplished, though. She knew that for whatever reason, RSOR wanted to keep Tamara and Errol's newfound nickname for Oliver Winchester a secret. While she wished that she knew why, she was satisfied at the fact that even knowing this much seemed to bother those in RSOR immensely. It meant that she was on to something, didn't it? "How do I not look like I'm grasping at straws while I do it?" Tamara was honestly baffled by this question. "I overheard my sister calling Oliver Orville. Errol called him Orville and he responded to it - in the mall, I might add, where other students could have witnessed what happened." Witnesses were definitely a good thing to have on your side, and while Sylent was a witness for RSOR, it wasn't that farfetched to think that there were other students in that mall during the weekend when Errol called Oliver by his past name (of course, Tamara and Errol were blissfully unaware of this). Those students might be curious, and Tamara would be simply satisfying that curiosity. "Plus, people are hungry for anything about RSOR." She decided to throw in as an extra jab. Joan of Arc knew how to mix bark with bite - and bluff. So much of this conversation was bluff, and so much of her initial days drafting battle plans was bluff (really, she hadn't known a whole ton...just kinda worked it out on the fly) but that bluff was more of a bet, she supposed. This was just flying by what Tamara herself told her, in thinking she knew it all already. And the "knew it all already" worked in another way; but for Tamara. Tamara full well knew - or Isa full well assumed - that Tamara knew that Isa would hate to be gossiped about in any way, let alone in the "is she involved?" way. Tamara had a lot more on Isa than the younger girl let on. He hands were tied behind her back in many regards, particularly with the noose tightening on RSOR. The only way to get out of this one would be to grasp at the strings Tamara unwittingly threw and hope that despite being restrained, she could somehow tie the junior up and end up with a stalemate.
Trying for a stalemate, and diffusing the situation. She really did almost want Oliver's head for this, but Oliver was too good a friend for that. And then, unfortunately, her English or Tamara's comprehension (or both) failed. "What I mean is that you're clearly grasping at straws. For such a drama-monger, you'd think you'd be a better actor. I thought, well, you must be able to put up an act, at least. But you're not even acting like you're not grasping at straws. You act like you don't understand what is going on, and I know you don't understand what is going on." She explained, tone scathing. Stupid English. She may be very fluent, but sometimes it just didn't work out as planned. Attack, attack, attack. Charge.
"As for Oliver, if one is called a pet name long enough, they will respond to it anywhere and everywhere. That being said, I think you might want to drop the subject, because God knows how he earned that name..do you even WANT to know? Oh, but then, I know what you're going to say. I know you well, Tamara." Isabella was going to bite now. Bite and bark - Tamara knew that Isabella could fight, now let her learn than she could talk. But what Tamara probably knew were that he words were skirting the whole big black hole Tamara wanted to see into. "But then why would RSOR come to his defence? And that is what we bargain for, I presume. How much our tongues - and what they can say - are worth."

The junior knew that she had a lot on Isa, but it still bothered her that Isa wasn't showing this. It made her second guess, which was something that she did not like to do in these situations. It made everything a lot less fun. Tamara arched an eyebrow as she Isabella went on to explain what she meant by 'grasping at straws'. "Well, what do you expect me to do? It's not like the attic kids are giving us anything to work with. You know that the rest of us 'normals' would love to her almost anything about RSOR, simply because you won't tell us anything." A small smile came across Tamara's face at this point. She'd intentionally slipped a little something in there. Whether it would get a rise out of Isa or not remained to be seen, but it was something, and she was going to go with it. She didn't know if the RSOR intended for other students to realize that the rest of the populace at Riverdale was referred to as 'normals' for some reason or another, but she could only assume that wasn't the case. It was more than just that, though. It was a hint to Isa that she knew, and was willing to dig, for more information if at all possible. Tamara could not help but hope that this would wipe any smug grins right off of Isa's face. Tamara snorted as Isabella stated the obvious. "You know, it probably wouldn't have stood out to me so much if the rest of you weren't acting so defensive over it. I'd expect it from him, but not so much from everyone else. That fact alone, to me, shows that it has something to do with RSOR." Sure enough, Isa stated almost the exact same thing just seconds afterward, and Tamara could not help but smirk a little in spite of herself. "Well, looks like we're on the same page as far as that is concerned." Now they were getting to the point, and both girls knew it. While Isa's attitude was annoying Tamara, she was also to some extent enjoying this. She wouldn't be a drama monger if she didn't enjoy drama, after all. Tamara literally had an entire list of things to say, but she didn't plan on revealing that one to Isa. The junior brushed a few stray hairs out of her face as she crossed her arms. "Well, the idea was that I keep quiet if you keep quiet. I think that's fair enough." Now, would the other girl accept? If not...Tamara still had plenty up her sleeve. It was only a matter of time. Word count: 466 To: Dante/Isa Notes: Meep
