Evie Lefevre was turning out to be a bit of a scatterbrain. Not only had she managed to lose her key, she had lost and replaced it twice already this month. Thinking about going to the office and asking for a replacement again was a little daunting for her, espeichally since she was told that if she was to lose it again, she would have to make do without one. Evie knew that she would not stand for that injustice (how would she be able to carry on having her nights out?) and so she was ready to fight, even beg to persuade whoever was on duty that she could be trusted. Honestly though, Evie was a bit more nervous on seeing her dorm mates and explaining herself. She had already talked to Chelsea...well IM'ed her and she was already getting lectures about some nutter picking it up in the street and coming to take a look around. She was more concerned about Madelyn...the two had personalities that clashed often enough, and she knew that Madelyn was easily frustrated by her.
Evie decided it was time to get up and go, rather than to put it off. She had been hiding out in the library, and hence had managed to get a bit of homework done whilst waiting to pluck the courage up to face the wrath of what was to be some very pissed roomies. Ah well, at least her time wasn't entirely wasted. That Shakespeare essay was hard enough, but at least she managed to get on the internet for a good amount of time and do a little bit of research. If only her past self could have been born a couple of hundred years earlier. That essay would certainly be a piece of cake then. With this thought in mind, she stood up, swinging her customary leather jacket around herself and picked up the bits of paper that she had recently printed out. She supposed this would win her brownie points with Chelsea. At least she had actually done some work, rather than just sit about and play around on the internet.
With a sigh, she begins her journey to the girl's dorm and room 521. She wandered through the two floors of the library, and realized that the office was only a floor down. She stopped for a minute debating and realized that she wouldn't mind putting off going back to the dorm a bit longer. Glad to have something to occupy her a little longer, Evie headed down the stairs and to the ground floor where she headed for the office. When she got there, she internally kicked herself. It was her luck that the most moody and nasty office clerk to exist was on duty today of all days. She wouldn't have minded to much, but the woman was so pig ignorant that she didnt even utter a word to anyone. Evie went up to the desk and smiled her sweetest smile. "Hello. My name's Evie Lefevre. Ive lost my key to my dorm and I need to get it replaced as soon as possible". Evie watched the woman's reaction carefully. She noticed that a look of dawning appeared on her face when Evie said her name and explained her situation. The clerk gave her a blank look and then rolled her eyes shaking her head. Ah. So she did know that Evie was a serial key looser. She rearranged her face to stop from giggling about this and watched as the clerk passed a sheet to her to fill in. Evie spent a good five minutes doing her neatest writing (anything to stall) and then when she couldn't put it off much longer, passed the sheet back. "Thanks". She starts her descent to the dorms, finally arriving after shuffling her feet through the corridors.
Preying that Madelyn wouldn't be around, she raps on the door with her knuckles and speaks aloud so that Chelsea would know who it was at the door straight away. "Chelsea? Its me Evie! Can you let me in please?"
