FROM OLIVER WINCHESTER That would be strange. Plus, you've got to think that, reincarnation or not, any counselor would probably know to some extent our life stories before we even went in to see them.
I don't intend on doing anything dumb to mess anything up. The fog machine does sound fun though. I'll ask Evie...or Marie, whichever she prefers...if they have one of those. If not, I could always make one somehow.
You actually did it? You went around asking people if they feared how they died? Will's been kind of busy lately, which is probably why he never got back to you. The others I'm not so sure on. Will and I don't usually discuss deaths, it's kind of...awkward. So I'll let him field that one. I do think you should post up the results though, just so people don't think you're going around asking them weird questions for no reason at all.

FROM OLIVER WINCHESTER Well, not just files, but basic knowledge they might have obtained from history class and other venues. Still, I agree, it wouldn't prepare them for much. Especially since we have our current lives to factor in to the equation.
I'm being hired on to help with technical stuff. I'd say that qualifies. I'd have to ask Marie though, to make certain. Do you know if she prefers Evie or Marie?
Then again, knowing her, I wouldn't be surprised if she prefers 'your highness'. -Snorts- She seems nice enough, but you can tell she still expects the royal treatment to some extent.
-Laughing- I would hope she wouldn't be afraid then. It would put a damper on her ability to perform those stunts.
Honestly, I'm a bit jealous of her. Her parents know that she's a reincarnate, and accept it. I'm sure that prevents a lot of awkward moments. Then again, her parents also adopted her even in this life, so they've probably already come to terms with the fact that she isn't theirs biologically...
Oh, don't worry about it. Stranger subjects have come up at meetings. -Snorts-

FROM EVIE LEFEVRE "Why?! Do you know someone with a guillotine and a personal vendetta against me?! Like that's never happened before...Am I scared though? Well I guess not...I suppose nobodys been beheaded in this country for a few hundred years. Although you would tell me if someone did have a grudge against me....right?!"

FROM OLIVER WINCHESTER If we had a normal for a counselor, though, we couldn't really discuss the true feelings behind some of our fears and emotions, could we? Unless that normal was someone who was clued in, someone that we could trust.
I guess I can't say I entirely blame her. She was royalty, after all. Though I met some royalty back in my day as well.
I know it's in their beliefs, and that it has everything to do with it. I believe I said that. Still, just being able to talk to your parents about that...it must be nice. -Sighs- Of course the idea of anyone mentioning RSOR to the wrong person would make you uneasy. It's part of your job to protect it, after all. Part of mine too, really.

FROM OLIVER WINCHESTER ...that's a good point, and yes, I did miss that. -Chuckles as well-
That's probably a good idea. We already have to worry about enough with some of the culture clashes we experience. Last thing we need is another one.
Of course secrecy is of utmost importance. We've already discussed what could happen if we aren't careful. It puts me on edge a bit as a recruiter, but that's probably a good thing - If I weren't on edge, I likely wouldn't be as careful. You know me. I like to jump into things.
-Laughing- How did your parents think you learned French anyway? I would imagine that one had to have come out of nowhere.
I can just imagine bringing Nate to my house and introducing him to my mother. Hey, Mom, remember how I was telling you I had other brothers and a sister? This is Wilbur! He and I go way back...to the 19th century, in fact. -Laughing- Yes, I think it's best that we keep things silent.

FROM OLIVER WINCHESTER That's how war works, I guess.
I know I do, but obviously I'm doing something right, or I wouldn't still be a recruiter for RSOR. I think it's the realization that if I screw up, I risk a lot more than just personal injury in one form or another.
-Laughing- I bet you threw your teacher for a loop! Poor woman. They really had no other choice than to grasp at straws, though, especially if reincarnation is only in their lexicon as something that other religions believe in... -Sighs-
I believe I told you about my lively discussion with a pilot at the airport when I was five? My parents surmised that my knowledge came from watching too much TV. Then I went and wrote my name as Orville in class. I think anyone looking could definitely see the hints, but who's going to be looking for hints besides other reincarnates? I mean, if we have kids that are reincarnates some day, we might spot things our parents didn't, but I can't say I entirely blame our parents for being oblivious.
Even with reincarnates, it all goes back to being confronted with something you're not used to. I guess that could be used to describe reincarnation in general, but the same time, we've had over a decade to adjust to it.

FROM OLIVER WINCHESTER I know I would, but I figured that would sum it up in the nicest way possible.
-Laughing- That would have been a hard one to explain your way out of at age five.
Did you attend school here in Riverdale or in Charlotte?
I did, but then, I wasn't exactly a normal kid before either. I skipped kindergarten to take apart sewing machines. -Bursts into laughter- Hopped up on Bill Nye? You make it sound like some sort of drug!
Well, they'd likely show some signs as a child, though, that something is different about them. It's something to keep in mind for when they get older. Not that any of this matters right now any who. I have no plans to have a child for quite a while, if ever. I like children, I just don't know how good a father I'd be if that child or children were my own.

FROM OLIVER WINCHESTER Well, it's a good thing you never mentioned that, then. -Chuckling-
Condolences? For what? -Very clearly pretending to be surprised- She was a handful for Ed and Judy too, until I became old enough to step in. -Laughing- And until she remembered how she died last time...she settled down quite a bit then. I think she was blocking it out before that.
I know we're only fourteen, which is why I'm trying not to get ahead of myself. After all, it would be nice if something became of our relationship, but as with children, it's far too early for us to tell.
A non-reincarnate spouse would make things a lot more difficult.
I most certainly would not! I'd also make certain that anything they were flying on was safe before they stepped onto it.
You know, after seeing you with Penelope at the bowling alley, I don't think you'd be a bad mother either, to be honest. -Teasing tone, then laughs-

FROM OLIVER WINCHESTER -Laughing- Should I even ask how Bonnie got ahold of your phone?
-Still chuckling a bit, but settled down considerably- I didn't even think about Sylent and Hayden. That's going to be an odd situation, especially if one or both of their children do end up becoming reincarnates.
You will certainly not see any of our children on flying scooters unless we examine those flying scooters first!
...and perhaps play around with them a bit ourselves first. -Laughing again-
Well, he did bond with her pretty well. And no, I don't think that's the reason he's been acting so oddly lately. He was acting oddly before that, wasn't he?

FROM OLIVER WINCHESTER I made you laugh that hard? Seriously? -Laughing himself now-
Of course I was serious about it. It doesn't even necessarily have to be hoverboards, but any flying toy, really. My nieces didn't get a chance to fly until 1911, if that says anything. There is no way any child of mine is going to go on an untested machine, flying or not.
No proof, but we do have a couple of cases with sibling reincarnates. Cindy and myself, of course, as well as Sylent and Justice.
Really, though, I would like to get a skateboard to fly. I know Back to the Future was supposed to be sci-fi, but I'd like to see hoverboards on the market by 2015. Then again, there's a lot of stuff that I'd like to do...hoverboards are more of a hobby now, really.
-More laughter- I think I might have some idea...

FROM OLIVER WINCHESTER Only sometimes? You're not giving yourself enough credit! Should warn Bonnie next time, though.
I guess I can see where that would be amusing. -Chuckles- No candy before flights?
True. Cindy and I were lucky in that regard. Our parents, not so much. Still, Walt Disney and Nellie Bly do kind of cross time periods, at least? I got very lucky with Cindy though, I won't lie.
There's some danger associated with everything. You should know that all too well, Jehanne D'Arc. The goal is to work out all of the dangers that you possibly can.
I'd have a customer? Fantastic! That makes two customers for the Wright Skateboard Company, and growing. -Laughing- Bikes would probably be easier to outfit to fly, not to mention I'm more familiar with them, but they aren't as compact. Portability seems to be a must nowadays.
Oh, I don't know. There's plenty of theories. He blushes a lot around everyone, though, so it's hard to tell...

FROM OLIVER WINCHESTER Guessing you're on the top bunk? I have that privilege too. Will's underneath me, with Darwin on the bottom bunk.
I know that I am. That alone makes me wonder if it's luck, though, or if something drew us here. But that's not my area of expertise, so I try not to dwell on it too much.
Hmm, might have to explore both avenues then. I prefer bikes myself, though that could be leftover bias from the fact that I used to build bicycles. Incidentally, there are some similarities between the steering on a bicycle and on an airplane, so it probably would be easier to whip up a flying bicycle.
Which makes me picture the tornado scene in The Wizard of Oz for some reason. -Laughing- Least we shouldn't see any flying cows?
Well, remember how I had a crush on Kimaya earlier in the year? Remember how red I would turn whenever you said her name? Well...I'll let you put two and two together. I'm not saying that is the case, but hey, it could be a possibility.
