The Winchester family had decided to go to the Riverdale history museum as a day trip. Both Cindy and Oliver had chosen to board at Riverdale High, but the close proximity of Ed and Judy Winchester to the school meant that the two children could still come and visit their parents at times. It had been a while since the Winchesters went on such a family trip. The family of four stuck close together for the first leg of their journey through the museum, but, as it typically goes, an argument broke out over which displays various members of the family wanted to visit, and as a result Ed and Judy Winchester went down one hallway and Cindy and Oliver went down the other. Oliver, dressed up in a suit and tie affair (he knew he could not get away with this at school, for fear of arousing suspicion in the 'normal' students, but at home was fair game) was keeping a close eye on his sister. She'd been abnormally quiet for this entire trip. It was quite natural to worry when Cindy was usually a chatterbox who loved to tease Oliver (in a playful way, of course...well, usually). Oliver set out to cheer up Cindy in his typical fashion. Bugs were out of the question as a source of humor. Oliver had learned that the hard way several years before. The Incident was still rarely mentioned within the family circle. It seemed like such a good idea at the time. Oliver was eight, Cindy eleven. Oliver had the bright idea to catch a few bugs off of the tree in their backyard in Kansas City and plant them on Cindy's pillow. As she laid down to sleep that night, Oliver could hear her screams from the other room. He peeked around the corner in time to see Cindy pointing frantically to the scurrying suspects. Her mother cleaned up the evidence, while Cindy overheard her brother's chuckles. Cindy had started toward her brother at once, furious - until she caught sight of the plump insect that was currently hanging down from her hair. Her screams could have probably woken the neighborhood that night. Oliver and, indeed, Ed Winchester were nearly doubled over with laughter at the sight. Ed was quickly quieted by a glare from Judy, though with Oliver it struck closer to home. The sight of tears streaming down Cindy's face were all the stimulus Oliver needed to stop his laughter at once. He was seized by guilt. It was then that he knew that bugs were off limits, and forever would be. Never did he want to elicit a reaction like that from his sister again. Annoyance, yes. Laughter, yes. But not tears. Instead, Oliver opted to go with a more direct route. It would be a bit silly, yes, but he did not want to go too complex with a brooding sister. It was one thing if Cindy was already in a good mood, but he didn't know what he could get away with, and figured the simple route would probably be best. The goal was to get her talking, and that was it. He stepped behind a wax figure of Abraham Lincoln, then proceeded to disguise his voice in an attempt to 'sound' like Abe Lincoln. Despite the fact that Oliver's soul was far older than he looked physically, Abraham Lincoln's life had ended before Oliver's first life even started. Therefore, this was quite a feat, but he did his best to pull it off. "Ms. Winchester, I cannot tell a lie. Your brother came up to me and told me that his sister was feeling a bit down. He wishes to know why this is the case. I swore on my disproportionally large hat that I would do my best, and I do not wish to be let down."[/color] Oliver poked his head out from behind the wax statue. "Well, there you have it. The 16th president of the United States would like to know what's wrong, C. Not just me, but Abraham Lincoln. So spill."[/color] It struck Oliver, of course, that there was a chance, however small, that he actually went to school with the reincarnation of Abraham Lincoln. Hey, he went to school with the third president, so why not the sixteenth? He decided to push that little tidbit aside, however. There were more important matters at hand. Namely, the happiness of Cindy. That was one mission that he was not going to forgo. The two had already grown too far apart for his liking after she started Riverdale. He wasn't going to stand by and let his sister be upset if there was something he could actually do about it. Time passes by quickly, but sometimes it feels like it slowing down to a sudden haul and when you less expect it everything changes, Cindy mused to herself. This was one of these times and within this time loop things were changing, but she didn’t think she could take it so far. It was why when Judy and Ed Winchester decided upon a family trip to the Riverdale history museum, she wasn’t her usual self. It was funny; they didn’t realize how their own daughter was feeling in their current location. Judy was more alert to her child’s pains or moods. Guess she must really be acting good or just plain not looking all that sad for them to worry for her.
It was weird for any daughter to call her mother and father by their names, right? The Winchesters were a bit different than most and besides Cindy didn’t really think of them as her Mom and Dad for a while. She still occasional does, but this was because of her present situation and knowing who she was now.
What was she? She was a reincarnation. Her name was Harriet Quimby and her parents were William and Ursula Quimby. They were still her parents deep within, and she wasn’t dismissing Ed and Judy of not being her parents. She just felt like she miss too much of her own life to think of calling them Mom and Daddy, excluding the times when she felt scare and wanted their knowledge and comfort. Like when they first move to Riverdale.
She was fifteen at the time and she was afraid of coming to North Caroline. She didn’t want to take a plane to this city. She freaked out, big time, she might add. She cried at the end and stomp her feet all the way to her room. All of her family was shock at her reaction to the whole thing, especially when she started calling Ed ‘Daddy’ again. She had stop calling them Mom and Dad when she was around ten years old, she recalled, but the mere thought of flying sends Goosebumps and shivers down her arms, legs, and spinal cord.
That was then and this was now, at the museum with her parents and her brother. Oliver was the only one who she was almost completely honest with. He was now fourteen, her seventeen, and he was growing into a fine young man. He was funny and wise beyond his years, but then again he was Orville Wright underneath it all. In a way he was much older than her, and it really feels very annoying to think of a younger brother as your elder, but he was in spirit. She knew now she needed to think of how to break it to him about her own past life, seeing that he joined the RSOR and sooner or later he would notice her at the meetings, so how to put it to him easy.
"Ms. Winchester, I cannot tell a lie. Your brother came up to me and told me that his sister was feeling a bit down. He wishes to know why this is the case. I swore on my disproportionally large hat that I would do my best, and I do not wish to be let down."
The voice startled her and she dropped her purse. She looked around to see Abe Lincoln’s wax statue and soon noticed her brother’s head sticking out. She smiled faintly after that minor heart attack she had by his kidding around.
"Well, there you have it. The 16th president of the United States would like to know what's wrong, C. Not just me, but Abraham Lincoln. So spill."
“Oliver,” she said with a sigh. “I have a lot on my mind,” she told him honestly. She walked over and patted his head, and hoped to get the reaction she wanted from him. She frowned and pondered. “I noticed you around Isabella Avadore the other day,” she decided on telling him. “Was it about…” she looked around, “you know…” She paused and whispered, “Mr. Wright?” Well, she did know since he told her long ago. She wondered if her brother just notice something different about his sister.

Oliver could never bring himself to call his parents anything other than Judy or Ed lately as well. He'd been able to do it as a child, only because he knew that was expected of him and he really didn't know any better. He didn't know what he thought now that he looked back on it...that his parents this time around, the Winchesters, were hiding his other brothers and sister? If he'd been paying attention, he might have noticed that his sister went through the same rounds. In fact, there were quite a lot of things that Oliver happened to miss with his sister in favor of his own issues. He would realize just how much he'd missed all too soon. He could still remember her freakout before coming to North Carolina. That was one of the things that Oliver could not dismiss. It still puzzled him as to why she behaved in the way that she did. He couldn't help but think that it had something to do with his admission of being Orville Wright. That wasn't the case at all, but what else did he have to go on? He'd never even considered the fact that his sister could be a reincarnate as well. Oliver let out a laugh as he saw Cindy's purse go down. He grinned at Cindy, coming out entirely from behind the statue and standing at her side once more. The two of them were the same height now that Oliver was fourteen, and he'd likely surpass her in height within the next few years. It was an odd feeling, as he'd always had to look up to Cindy to talk to her before. At least before, he'd had a younger sister, and she'd always been shorter than him. "I hope you didn't really think Abraham Lincoln was talking to you, Cindy."[/color] Oliver told his older sister in a joking tone. He knew that Cindy knew better, but he had to tease her somewhat. He'd always been a tease, in both lifetimes, and his siblings and other family members had always been his favorite targets. These amused thoughts, however, were interrupted by Cindy's serious voice. "A lot on your mind? Like what?"[/color] THe grin dropped from his face at this point. Something was seriously bothering Cindy, and he wanted to know what. He wanted to make it all better. He didn't know if he could, but it was worth a shot at least, wasn't it? The next words out of her mouth were hardly what he expected. He frowned as she patted his head. "You know Isabella Avadore?"[/color] Oliver was utterly stunned at this point. Then again, she went to school with Isabella, so why should he be? It still seemed rather odd, however, although Oliver had yet to put two and two together. It wasn't going to be that easy, after all. He stared at Cindy in pure amazement as she inquired - correctly, he might add - as to the subject that he'd discussed with Cindy. Not just because she'd hit the nail right on the head, but also because the subject of Oliver informing Cindy of his true identity had not been discussed for the past few years. It was one of those 'off limits' topics that the Winchester family seemed to love as of late. He laughed it off at first. "Cindy, can you please not refer to me like that?"[/color] He responded to her 'Mr. Wright' comment, also in a whisper. It felt strange to hear himself addressed in the third person by his sister. Yes, to her he was Oliver Winchester and not Orville Wright, but to himself he was very much both people. It was the same soul in both bodies, after all. Then he looked her straight in the eye. "Cindy, what does that have to do with anything?"[/color] At this point, he figured that she was just stalling, trying to get him away from poking his head into her business. Well, he was going to keep prodding, because he was her brother, and that was what brothers did. Of course, he didn't realize that Cindy was actually going somewhere with this. The joy of having little brothers, Cindy thought with a smirk at her brother’s laughter at her purse falling from his practical joke with Lincoln. How she wished for sometime to recover from her little tumble with Abe. She rolled her eyes and went to retrieve her purse while saying to her brother like couldn’t he help her, but she knew Oliver too well for real sternness in her tone of voice. Oliver was a real prankster, and in truth she didn’t want him any other way.
She should be grateful he never did figure out her own issues and realized that his sister was going through the same plague as him. Yes, she did think of her reborn as a plague at times with her great fear of flight, but in another ways it was also a gift. Of course, if somebody looked up Greek Mythology they will realize that although Apollo was a god of healing, he was also one of plagues too, so it made sense in that description of reincarnation to be a gift as well as a curse. However, it was still very good for her secret which Oliver had no idea, but soon he would realize his sister’s being a reincarnate just by looking up the members of RSOR. She might as well tell him, but she likes to keep him guessing.
She shook her head. Duh, of course, she knew Abraham wasn’t really talking to her, and that it was he. She pretenses a shock gasp and clung a hand to her chest dramatically. “Really? I didn’t know!” She exclaimed with a false watery eyes. “But I thought…” She paused and soon made a gape on Oliver to nudges his hair. “You’re such a joker, but I wouldn’t have it any other way,” she told him with pleasure.
She blasted out a giggle and shrugged. “She’s a sophomore. I knew Isa when she was a freshman, Oliver, so why wouldn’t I know her?” She asked with a look of exasperation as though it was easy to tell from the fact they go to the same school together for at least a year now. It wasn’t to be really put out, but come on why wouldn’t she know a girl who goes to her school. She was very helpful and liked to help people, even if that person was a little brother or a girl who was really from France in the past. “You don’t think,” she told him.
Cindy looked at Oliver. She pondered and continued by replying to his gigantic expression of wonder. She had a very curious brother, but having Orville as a brother was something a hardship. “I thought you like your name,” she whispered to him and started to walk onward with the wax figures. She didn’t answered his other question for some reason and she paused her steps.

Oliver considered his situation to be both a gift and a curse as well. He wasn't going to pretend that he wasn't thrilled to have a second chance at life. However, there were also curses - He could tell almost no one who he was. He'd told Cindy, and she'd reacted in such a strange way that he knew he could not tell his parents, or any of his friends what he'd discovered. Not that he'd intended to anyway, but he'd at least thought his older sister would believe him, especially as the two of them had spent so much time doing research together trying to figure out what was happening with Oliver. Not to mention it was utterly strange to learn about himself in science and history classes. Oliver burst into laughter at Cindy's dramatic display. Now this was the side of Cindy that he liked to see, but saw so little of lately. Therefore, he'd done his job - He succeeded in cheering up his older sister. He was satisfied with himself for a job well done. However, now there was another job to do - Cindy was no longer quiet, but she was behaving strangely in other ways. The response to his inquiry about Isabella was simple enough. Oliver shook his head with a small grin at his own folly. The problem, contrary to what Cindy thought, was not that Oliver didn't think - It was that he thought too much. He'd automatically jumped to the conclusion that Cindy bringing up Isabella had something to do with the RSOR, and not that she was simply mentioning Oliver running into a friend of hers. Then again...if it was simply a mention of sharing a mutual friend, then why on Earth had she called him Mr. Wright? "I think...sometimes."[/color] Oliver responded, trying to sound as much like a normal fourteen year old as he possibly could. Cindy was probably teasing him, and he'd fallen right into her trap. That was it. It was all a rather odd coincidence. She couldn't possibly know that Isabella was recruiting him for the RSOR. Now he had to play it all off... Oliver stared at her at her next words. She turned tail and started walking off down the hall of wax figures. She thought he liked his name. She'd referred to him as Mr. Wright, though. The two of them hadn't breached the subject in years, yet here she was, talking about it as if...well, she was talking about it with the same level of unconcern as he'd spoken with when he first confided in her. "I do, but since when do you call me Mr. Wright?"[/color] It was a valid question, and one that needed to be answered. Oliver continued off after Cindy. He could not help but feel a tad uncomfortable going down this hall of wax figures. Part of this was due to the fact that he could feel every single figure's eyes on him. None of this was quite so bothersome, however, as the idea that every single one of these historical figures could potentially attend school with him at that very moment, and he might not know it. Strolling past a figure of Napoleon Bonaparte was particularly odd, as Oliver recalled earlier communications with Isabella. Evidently, Napoleon was working as a recruiter for the RSOR. He found himself incredibly grateful that there was no wax figure of Joan of Arc as far as the eyes could see...he didn't know if he would be able to live that one down. He chuckled as he passed a figure of Amelia Earhart. The wax figures looked so absurd compared to the real thing, if you asked him. He hadn't met Amelia this time around, but he looked forward to it. It seemed as though she would at least be fairly easy to talk to. Located not far from the Amelia figure, however, were figures of the Wright Brothers. "Are you serious?"[/color] Oliver commented in a whisper, unable to stop himself. He wanted to walk past these two figures, but he could not bring himself to. At least, not right away. He had to study his own figure a little longer than the rest. He bit his lip, trying not to let loose a slew of comments about how this figure was totally wrong - The haircut was off, the mustache was off, and there was a smudge on his suit! Fortunately, Oliver was able to wipe that off with his finger, and then with one last look he continued on his way. He had not seen that Cindy had stopped herself, however, and therefore almost ran smack into the back of her. He stopped himself just in time, sending a jolt throughout his body. "I think you should start carrying around brake lights..."[/color] He chuckled, then decided to launch into the more serious aspect of things. "C, what's going on? If only she could tell him without being too afraid of the reactions coming soon, but Cindy was quite nervous, so she was really beating around the bush for the courage to tell Oliver. If only I told him sooner, but I didn’t want to encourage him if we really were crazy to think we’re historic pioneers of aviation. Her thoughts were a mess during these times, but how else could he forgive her without telling him her story. She sighed deep in thoughts. How do I do this? He knows I’m stalling.
It worried her to know so much about one of her-selves in her mind (and especially the history books) and it worried her more to know about her brother’s past life in the textbooks too.
She had to confess that she was acting and talking odd to try to confuse her brother too. It wasn’t that he doesn’t think, but that he thought too much for his own good. Which would bring up the problems he had as a child with not really thinking it through before blurting out stuff that would otherwise cause their current parents some pains and worries. It was why she hid her activities from her parents so carefully. She didn’t want them to feel hurt either.
“That’s your problem… thinking sometimes,” she said with emphasis on the ‘sometimes’, but really she meant ‘all the time’. If only Oliver knew that Cindy was the one who realize Isabella was a reincarnate in the first place. Well, one of the ones who notice the signs. Thinking of Isabella reminded her about how it was Isa who told her about her little brother was joining the Reincarnate Society Of Riverdale or the Riverdale Society of Reincarnates; Cindy kept siding with one or the other over the months being a member.
Yes, she wasn’t really surprise since she knew her brother was probably making corrections about his life in the books, so she wasn’t that shock by it. She was more startle by the fact he was notice so soon, but if anybody notice him quickly it was Isa. “Oh, Jehanne,” she whispered under her breath, criticizing her young friend.
She only glanced at Napoleon Bonaparte statue for a moment and thought to herself, I wondered how Chaz Conte is these days? He was a sophomore like Isa, and both French most historic figures. She often teased her about dating him, but so far neither were telling her anything. Passing Amelia Earhart, she smiled and remembered it was Celeste who recruited her for RSOR. Thank you, Amelia; you really helped me a lot.
"I do, but since when do you call me Mr. Wright?"
Cindy nibbled on her lower lip and was thinking about how to ask that, but soon his own statue distracted her brother. She smirked to herself, but the smirk didn’t last as she spotted her own statuary in wax. Next to it was her best friend, Matilde E. Moisant, and memories of Harriet and Matilde roused up to surface. She missed her friend very much.
"I think you should start carrying around brake lights..."
“Huh?” She looked back to her brother and saw him laughing. She tried to smile, but her own sad grin was still on her face. Tears brimming in her eyes making it looked like she’s trying not to cry either. “Brake lights?” She shook her head. “Silly idea, Orv-Oliver,” she answered and looked at her image again. At her brother’s next question, she wiped her tears and looked back to him. “Up to something? Moi?” She chuckled sadly. “Maybe. Maybe,” she replied softly. Oh, Matilde, I wish you were here! Tears slipped out of her eyes, trailing over her cheeks as she looked to her friend’s figure again. “I miss her,” she blurted out.
Cindy sighed and glanced at her brother. “Oliver, I have to tell you something,” she said solemnly. “Something I should have told you earlier.” Her face had a serious expression as she said this to him. Before she could tell him a group of tourists entered the hallway and was coming close. She gently took her brother’s hand and led him away. She found an abandoned corridor and led the way into it. She looked around before sighing to herself, smiling. “That was close.”

Now that Oliver was older, he knew that he had to be careful around both his parents and other 'normals'. However, it had taken him ten or eleven years to see the light as far as this was concerned. He was an eccentric inventor, after all, and it was hard to get him to settle down once he was started on something. He'd settled down in front of others, though. At least, in front of others he did not know. He could never really hide what...and who...he was from his sister, though. Which was why it was odd that Cindy was bringing up the subject of his confession to her. Why now, of all times? Then again, it was quite fitting. They were in a hall full of wax historical figures, one of which happened to be his own past self. Oliver folded his arms across his chest and shook his head, pretending to be offended by his sister's words. In reality, he knew that she was kidding with him. This was the kind of relationship he shared with Cindy, and as they'd grown more distant over the years with school and other friends, he hadn't had the chance to share this as much. This was quite refreshing, also in that it reminded him of his relationship with his past sister, Katharine. The laughter disappeared from Oliver's face when he saw the look on Cindy's. What on Earth was going on with this girl? It was almost as if the past few minutes never happened, and Cindy was back to acting strangely. Oliver folded his arms across his chest, trying to cheer her up once again. It had worked once before, why not try it again? "Silly idea? You know, some of the craziest, silliest ideas resulted in many of the devices we have today."[/color] Oliver informed her, pretending to be upset. However, the small grin on his face gave him away. He was good at keeping a straight face (usually) when he wanted to, but he wanted Cindy to see that he was joking. Then it occurred to him that she'd called him by a mixture of his old name and current name. "Orv-Oliver. I kind of like the sound of that."[/color] Her next words caused him to stare at her in puzzlement. Whatever she was up to, it wasn't any sort of joke. He could tell by the look on her face. "Cindy, this better not be about some boy at school..."[/color] He certainly didn't want to see his sister hurt by any boys. He was male, he knew how boys could be. His sister didn't deserve to be jerked around. Now, Oliver wasn't the type who could exactly threaten to beat up anyone...however, he could likely devise some sort of scheme to get back at the perpetrator. Oliver retreated back into silence at the next words out of his sister's mouth. She was staring at the figures of two female pilots. Oliver could remember them, in fact. Harriet Quimby and Matilde Moissant. Two of the first female pilots...well, ever. It wasn't so much this that caught Oliver's attention. No, he was far more concerned that his sister had blurted out that she missed one of these figures. "Cindy, what are you..."[/color] It had not hit him yet. He certainly realized that something was up, but that his own sister was a reincarnate? Nope, that hadn't hit him just yet. Why? Because he figured that if she was a reincarnate, she would have mentioned it when he mentioned his own origins. Oliver remained silent when Cindy informed him that she had something to tell him. Something serious, Oliver could tell. Something that she should have told him sooner? He studied his sister for hints of what was to come, but he could not make it out. All he could tell was that his sister was uncomfortable, and that made him uncomfortable in turn. When she led him away from a group of tourists, he knew it was something serious. The 'I miss her' comment was rather odd too. "Cindy, what on Earth is going on? You're acting like someone died."[/color] Oliver would soon realize the irony of his comment. Being careful about not blurting or talking about Harriet Quimby and other reincarnates weren’t that much of a chore for Cindy since at the beginning she thought nothing of it being real until she really moved to Riverdale. She had a lot of practice though and enjoyed the freedom to talk with other reincarnates about her life before being a Winchester. She had to admit it was a good day for her when the Winchesters moved to North Carolina for Ed’s promotion. It was a bonus that they went by driving there instead of flying in a plane. It really cleared her fears up for the time being.
Why she brought up his confession of being Orvelle Wright now, of all times? Well, because she was about to tell him hers. Enough thought to it, but not enough saying her confession yet. It was close though.
Her teasing her brother was only a simple step stone on the road to telling her story to him, but it had always been their relationship between the two siblings. She kids on him and he her, and that’s the way it was suppose to be. She always pulled these antics with Oliver and she likes causing him some annoyance and some humiliation, but most she loves seeing his joy in life. His antics were her happiness in life. So, why was she so down now? Simply put she was about to confess something, which might cause a strain on their relationship as brother and sister. Going to be hard. Her thoughts darkened a bit, but she kept a strong front.
"Silly idea? You know, some of the craziest, silliest ideas resulted in many of the devices we have today."
Cindy laughed a bit, but it was hard to continue. She ended up having her facial expression looked like an odd smile before giving up to frown slightly at her brother. Serious matters were about to sign up on her person, and she knew it. She listened and watched him closely, and sure enough he was soon getting it. The topic was serious and personal, but not about a boy. She felt her cheeks burn when the blood flow increased to her face. “No!” she blurted out. Not yet… if I have the guts to tell him. She did like a boy, but didn’t know how to tell him yet. This wasn’t the time for that it was about her past, not the present. “That’s not it, Oliver,” she added with stress lines on her face. It was hard to admit something you been hiding for so long. She regretted her actions base on her brother’s situation.
She looked longing at the two wax statues, and noticed Oliver watching. Didn’t he get it yet? Well, guessed he doesn’t think at times, but he was really an excellent thinker. He could also play the guitar like her. It was a good pastime for them, and it’s a good thing to have in common. Of course, her being a reincarnation as well as him wasn’t quite the ideal thing to have in common with your brother, but it was nice to have one. She moaned the lost of having fun being a reincarnates with Oliver. Both pilots and journalists, and she never truly thought about how she lose the years together with Oliver on her count of fear and remorse.
“Cindy, what are you…”
Cindy sighed. “Can’t you tell?” She blurted out, asking him. She didn’t know what to do now except just telling him outright. This was hard. Joan of Arc, I hope you figure out a way to help with this. Why didn’t I do this sooner? She thought with an importance of talking her confession. She took deep breaths and tried to calm her nerves.
"Cindy, what on Earth is going on? You're acting like someone died."
Did he have to say it that way? She allowed herself to think and crossed her arms. She dead. He dead. Matilde dead. Who didn’t dead before beside some students and especially their parents nowadays? She took a deep breath again and tried again. She looked for peace inside her and soon went with it. “Beside Orville, Joan of Arc, and Harriet? A lot of people died?” She ventured in telling him in question, and prayed Oliver gets it.
“I’m Harriet Quimby,” she told him after a long pause of silence.

Oliver tried his best to hide his worry, but was having a hard time of it. This was his sister. His sister. Even though she was older than him, in his past life he'd had experience with a younger sister. Thus, it was hard sometimes to distinguish the two and remember that Cindy was in fact older than him. She'd usually remind him of it soon enough, however, as was the case this time. He was happy to hear her chuckle at his comment about inventions, but then her frown was back. This was incredibly frustrating. He hadn't seen Cindy upset like this in years. In fact, the last time...the last time he'd seen her even close to something like this was just before they moved to North Carolina. When Cindy had begged their parents not to travel to North Carolina via plane. When Cindy insisted fervently that it was not about a boy, Oliver could not help but be even more suspicious. A quick study of her facial expressions told him that she was speaking the truth, but if it wasn't something like guy trouble, then what on Earth was it? He could hear irritation, or perhaps frustration, in her voice as she asked him if he got it. Got what? He was starting to get frustrated as well. Why did girls have to play games like this? Why couldn't they just come out and say what was bothering them? Oliver stared at his sister in a new light. Why was she mentioning all of these historical figures. No, not just historical figures...three specific historical figures. Orville was himself, Joan of Arc was Isabella...so why was Harriet Quimby thrown into the mix? Then the words came, and Oliver felt as though he'd been punched in the gut. "I'm Harriet Quimby.""You...what?"[/color] It wasn't so much that he had trouble believing that his sister was a historical figure. He was one himself, he had several friends who were, and even his crush happened to be a reincarnate. That part wasn't what was hard to believe. The question was...why now? Why not ages ago, when the subject was first breached? "Cindy, I..."[/color] His first instinct was to hug her, to tell her that everything was alright. However, as he stepped closer to Cindy, he suddenly felt a surge of anger and stepped back once more. "Why didn't you tell me sooner? Why, Cindy? This whole time I thought you thought that I was insane."[/color] Oliver took a deep breath, trying to calm himself. She didn't need this, and he didn't need this. Unfortunately, this action had the opposite effect, as his frustration burst forth in a sort of word vomit. "You acted like I was insane. You kept this a secret from me, even though I told you mine! Why? Don't you think you could have told me before? Oh, hi Cindy, I'm Orville Wright. 'Oh yeah, Oliver, I should probably tell you...I'm Harriet Quimby!' Would that have been so hard?"[/color] Oliver stared his sister in the eye, trying to catch his breath. However, he'd exhausted all of his rants, and was left simply feeling exhausted from the adrenaline rush and upset. Upset that for some reason, his sister didn't feel as though she could trust him with this huge secret. After he'd told her his. "Why?"[/color] He asked in a calm, though disappointed tone, unable to fully meet her in the eye this time around. He was hurt, and did not wish to hide this fact from his sister. Her emotions were running wild at the moment and it didn’t help that she had her little friend either. She just had too much going on with her to think of something to bring up without causing her brother pain and suffering. With her big unveiling of her secret, chaos followed in its wake, and her prediction about what was about to happen after spilling the beans came true.
He was furious and rightfully so, and it was all her fault about his current frustrations with her. Cindy tried hard not to show her sorrow that was beating her on; the guilt, the pain, and the accusations she cause Oliver these. She felt her own beating heart dying on her with her guilt and remorse, the lost of all those years spending time with Oliver, showing him he wasn’t crazy at time or if he was at least he got her to lean on, but it was done with.
“I’m sorry!” Cindy cried out. She had tears falling down from the brims of her eyes. “I didn’t think you’re insane. I was scare for you and for me. I thought if I didn’t tell you it would stop, but the dreams and visions didn’t. Nor did yours,” she said with the anguish in her heart and soul leak out. “I thought I was protecting you by not saying anything. I regret it so badly, Oliver. You shouldn’t have to go through it alone, but the circumstances weren’t mine to control,” she told him. “I should have been there for you, Oliver,” she took deep breaths and felt she was breaking down.
She sobbed like her life was over again. She backed away from her brother and bumped into the wall. She slid down it weak in the knees and curled up with her knees to her chest. She should have done more. Joan was right with her accusations. Part of the reasoning was because of feeling jealous of her little brother. After all she had allowed the plane to ejected Will and her out of their seats while flying and Orville was the inventor of planes. Of course, she didn’t know exactly what happen, but she blamed herself for allowing Will and her to die in the first place. Was that why she been reborn? she wondered.
“I was also ashamed of myself as a pilot. I felt intimidated by having a Wright as a brother,” she said sincerely to him. “Gosh, it wasn’t right to allow you to feel alone and feel like you lost your mind.” She told him. She felt tears on her cheeks and wiped them away with fury. “I didn’t know it was all true until we moved here really. I’m sorry for not being so imagining,” she chuckled humorlessly. “Funny, seeing how I’m the most likely to believe in fairy tales.”
Cindy pulled herself up and walked to Oliver. She tried to catch his eye, but he seemingly was resisting. She wanted him to look at her to apologize for everything. She wanted to do it properly and appropriately to her brother’s peace of mind. She needed to do something. She was the most supportive of him, but she failed miserably.
“I failed at being a big sister,” she paused and allowed her head to bow. She looked at her fingers instead. She tries to do what’s right to her brother as her heart was in her throat, feeling shame, guilt, and anxious. “I won’t blame you for not forgiving me. I’m supportive of you, but I failed by allowing my fear to guide my attentions and my silence. I allowed it to push me away from you. I’m truly and deeply apologize for myself,” she said sadly with a look of remorse so deep it was tearing her apart. She licked her sudden dry lips. “Forgive me for not telling you as soon as I knew it was real. Forgive me,” she simply stated as tears rolled once more down from her eyes and over her cheeks. “It’s all my fault for allowing this to happen,” she added and looked away to wipe the tears from her face again. “I won’t fail you again, Oliver,” she vowed solemnly to her brother, praying full-heartedly.

Cindy's confession explained everything, now that Oliver thought back. He closed his eyes in an attempt to steel himself. Honestly, he needed to calm down before he did something that he really regretted. As he did, flashes of his childhood with Cindy occurred. He could recall making a cardboard airplane at age five and begging his older sister to play with him. She'd insisted that she didn't want to join in, that she was too old for such silly games...but now he wondered if it didn't have something to do with her past life. He was coming to realize the true reason she'd insisted she didn't want to fly. It had nothing to do with him - The only reason she'd likely looked in his direction was that he was the only other person in the room who could understand what she was going through, though he did not know it at the time. She was doing it because... Oliver's gaze met Cindy's as soon as he heard her apology. His fists were still clenched, but his body seemed to relax at the sight of Cindy's tears. "Cindy, you don't need to cry..."[/color] He insisted, partially because he did not like to see her cry, but more because he felt as though it was his fault for crying in the first place. He still was not pleased with this entire situation, but every word that Cindy spoke weakened his resolve. Still, after her first round of explanations and apologies, he remained silent. He wasn't going to give in so soon. He wasn't going to give her that satisfaction. Yes, she was sorry, but she'd kept a rather huge secret from him for not just months, but years! She deserved a bit of the cold shoulder treatment as far as he was concerned. If she was going to play games, he would play right back. Oliver let out a laugh at Cindy's next words. It was not a joyful laugh, though it was not one of mirth either. Rather, it was an uncomfortable, awkward laugh. She was intimidated by him? "You were intimidated by me? Your big bad baby brother?"[/color] This comment seemed to open up the channels of communication once more. Oliver was still stunned at the admittance. She was intimidated by having a Wright for a brother. She was intimidated by him. His older sister was intimidated by him. Certainly explained some of her actions, but the idea...absurd! "Why are you ashamed of yourself as a pilot? First woman in the country to get a pilot's license...you had to have been doing something right."[/color] A small smile came across his face. "Kinda glad Isa isn't here...she'd likely be making Wright jokes all over the place right about now."[/color] He smiled at his sister for the first time after her confession. It wasn't a fully content, beaming smile, but it was a start. Soon, Cindy launched into a tirade, degrading herself and insisting that she failed as a big sister. Oliver was seized by another fit of guilt at this point. It was like the incident all over again, except this time it was worse. This time it was more serious than just a large bug climbing down from his sister's hair. "You did NOT fail as a big sister, Cindy."[/color] He insisted, with what he hoped was the proper force behind it. He was upset with her, yes. He wanted her to see that she was in the wrong for keeping such a huge secret from him. However, he didn't want her to think that she'd failed as an older sister. That was taking things to the extreme. Then again, he'd gone off the deep end a bit with his response to, hadn't he? He knelt down onto her level, figuring this would make things a bit easier. "Cindy, you didn't fail me at all, so stop insisting that you did. Stop crying. I'm mad, yes. You should have told me a lot sooner. But I'm not unwilling to listen to you. You have reasons behind your actions, yes?"[/color] Oliver shook his head. He was still upset with Cindy, but it was incredibly hard to be mad at her when she offered up 101 reasons why she behaved in the fashion that she had...and when she cried. God, why did she have to cry? "When did you figure it out?"[/color] He knew he should just come out and say that he forgave her. Those were probably the words that she was searching for. However, his pride was keeping him from doing just that. Thus, he hoped that she would recognize his attempt to continue on the conversation as a kind gesture. Emotions didn’t cut it with the Winchesters, but it did help this one how to release and feel a bit better, even when she was ashamed like now. She hated herself for trying to conceal her true self from her brother for so long. She didn’t want to hide who she is forever, but it was hard to even begin with the explanations of why she didn’t tell him sooner and why didn’t she tell him as soon as she knew that all the dreams, visions, and blackouts were due by a very real event that happen to her. She was a reincarnate, and she was proud to be Harriet Quimby. She was proud to be Cindy Winchester, big sister of Oliver, who was himself a reincarnate of Orville Wright.
Why am I crying? Crying? Why? She was crying of the shame she felt from within and it was starting to really burn. She felt like she should be and having a Wright brother for a little brother wasn’t very healthy in her mind. It was frightening to her. Yes, she was the first woman licensed pilot of the United States, but in her mind she needed to fight the fear in order to learn the right way to tell him. Obviously, she ran out of time and forgotten to plan as she cried before her little brother. She blinked her eyes to try to see through the blurry tears.
"Cindy, you don't need to cry..."
The words had come to her. She snorted sadly, and thought, As if I want to cry. She was a bit bitter, but it came with the territory of not telling him. She kept him in the dark and she knew it was wrong. She wiped away a few tears from her cheeks and tried to stop her downpour of shame, concern, and desperation. She couldn’t seem to do so, but she was trying.
"You were intimidated by me? Your big bad baby brother?"
When he said it like that it was laughable and quite silly. She supposed if anybody was around and heard this, they’ll think she needed mental help or think the worse of her brother. She didn’t want that. She wanted the world to know her brother was great and would be trusting in any situation.
"Why are you ashamed of yourself as a pilot? First woman in the country to get a pilot's license...you had to have been doing something right."
She laughed then, a sad shameful laugh, but a laugh nonetheless. Yes, she was filled with pride at those words, and she was filled with disappointment in herself as a pilot. She was the first lady of the New World to fly and it was a very big an achievement for all womankind and for women’s rights in general. She shouldn’t be having a chagrin of herself or being abashed by her own mistakes, but the leftovers of that fateful day long ago had brought this feeling upon herself. It turned into intimidation of her brother and her shame of herself; if only she had been more open to herself she would have step up and told him sooner.

Yes, Isa would be joking around at this point. Cindy chuckled bolder and she felt a small weight lifted off of her. She shook her head at her own deeds, so disconcerting and bewildering of herself she felt ridiculous over it. It wasn’t very salubrious of her to be so much like a fool over a little plane crush. Yes, it killed her passenger and herself, but it was really a mistaking of the times. I’m being silly, crying over something I can’t change anymore, but it’s helpful. Oliver is the best little brother ever. She wondered how to fix this mess.
"You did NOT fail as a big sister, Cindy.” A pause. “Cindy, you didn't fail me at all, so stop insisting that you did. Stop crying. I'm mad, yes. You should have told me a lot sooner. But I'm not unwilling to listen to you. You have reasons behind your actions, yes?"
Maybe I didn’t fail… Reasons? Yes, I have them. Yes, I did, didn’t I? This is preposterous! So silly of me. Silly... Cindy took a deep breath and nodded her head. She smiled sadly at him. “Sometimes crying helps release the pressure of my situation,” she answered his unspoken question on why she cried. “I wanted to tell you. I just thought I had time to think of how to tell you. Guess I ran out of time. It was wrong not to tell you sooner, but I thought” – she stressed out the next words – “I had more time. I know.”
"When did you figure it out?"
That next question made her think. It was hard during the years before she knew she wasn’t completely off her mind in thinking she was a reincarnate. She discovered she might be Harriet Quimby a time before they moved out to the Carolina, but she was still worried. She didn’t want to encourage her brother’s beliefs in thinking himself Orville Wright without some truths to her own beliefs as being a pilot herself. Cindy didn’t really thought about it again until she heard they were moving, and she freaked about not going on a plane to get here. It wasn’t until being at Riverdale and the school that she was found out by the reincarnate of Amelia Earheart, a senior now like Cindy herself is.
“I realize it was all true and real about a few months after we moved,” she said reluctantly. “It took a while to realize that you were most definitely a Wright brother, Oliver. I had a plan to tell you a lot sooner, but I guess I was too slow at it. I’m sorry,” she said sincerely. She really put them both in a terrible spot, right?

Cindy's silence made Oliver feel uncomfortable. He really hated to see his sister in this much distress. It seemed as though both siblings had become experts at disguising their true identities by the time they reached their preteens, though Cindy had always seemed more proficient at it even at a younger age. After Cindy's reaction to his excited confession in sixth grade, he'd thought he could never discuss the issue again. It had hurt him very much, to think that he couldn't share such a huge secret with his older sister, after they'd been so close for so many years. It was slowly becoming clear that he was not alone in these feelings. Cindy felt the same way. Cindy snorted as he pleaded with her not to cry. Oliver raised an eyebrow, trying to prod around for the emotion behind the snort. Was it amusement, or something else? She did not say anything after it, making the high school freshman that much more concerned as to his sister's emotional well-being. "Cindy..."[/color] He addressed her once more, hoping that she might actually speak this time. Normally he did not mind silence, as it gave him time to think, but not this sort of penetrating, uncomfortable silence. It took asserting to Cindy that she did not fail as an older sister to get her to speak once more. A small smile came across Oliver's face at this point. "Well, seems as though you just relieved a lot of pressure."[/color] In all honesty, Oliver felt similar to Cindy in that a figurative weight had also been removed from his chest. He could talk freely with Cindy again, discuss who he really was with her, discuss who she really was, discuss all of the strange and awkward situations that they put their parents through as children. Poor Judy and Ed Winchester. A daughter absolutely terrified of flying again, and a son who knew far too much about flying for his age. Now the two teens had an explanation for all of this, and could not even share it with their parents. What an odd twist of fate. However, at least they could find solace in the fact that they had each other again. She proceeded to explain why she'd waited to tell him. He lifted his hand at once, in an effort to stop her. Yes, he'd demanded an explanation before, but after all that had happened, he did not feel the need for one now. "Cindy...Harriet," Oliver addressed his sister by her proper name. This might take a bit of getting used to, just as she would have to get used to calling him Orville. Perhaps they would just have to stick to sis and bro, to prevent the potential complications of having two names. Or they could always be used interchangably. Oliver had no idea why his mind had gone off on this tangent in the first place. He let out a small chuckle in spite of himself. "Sis. Both you and I know that time is a lot more complicated than most people think."[/color] The small grin on Oliver's face would, he hoped, convey the message that he did not want her to be upset anymore. With each passing moment the remaining adrenaline in his system was broken down, and anger was replaced by guilt. How could he fault Cindy when he was guilty of keeping similar secrets from his biological parents...from some of his closest friends? "Right after we moved?"[/color] Oliver whispered, a fresh surge of anger boiling up. This time, however, he was able to push it back. Right after the Winchesters moved to North Carolina. That was two years before. Oliver glanced at the floor, taking in a deep breath before looking back at Cindy. "Well, there's nothing we can do about it now. At least everything's out in the open."[/color] Oliver made to chuckle lightly, though there was still a bit of heaviness in it nonetheless. "One of four Wright brothers, actually."[/color] Oliver corrected his current sister with a small grin, happy for the distraction. "Then again, most only know about Will and I."[/color] Oliver met his sister's eyes as a stark realization came to him. There was a whole side to Cindy that he did not know. Despite the fact that Cindy and Oliver had lived together their entire lives this time around, they had a lot of catching up to do. "Did you have any siblings before? Don't tell me any of them topped off that bug on the pillow trick either, because you know that was pure genius."[/color] Oliver teased, breaking their unspoken agreement to never mention the incident again. It was only fair, though. She'd brought up Oliver's confession, thus opening a can of worms! Oliver wore a playful grin on his face at this point. Word count: 857 To: Cindy/Leah Notes: Ah, siblings. Silence and dread often go hand in hand during times like these when things are going gloomy and remorse falls into play. Of course, sometimes it’s better for the people involve to have some bad trails when silence creeps in to them, and Cindy definitely felt more relief in the fact of the dread than the silence of her beating heart. It took a lot out of her to build up courage to tell Oliver everything or at least pulled out the big boy of her secrets. Guilt struggled within her as she thought on how she misses all of the good times with her brother on subjects of the truth.
Their secret pasts were longing to be shared yet she couldn’t begin to think up an idea for this experience to happen sooner and without remorse, just joy in sharing their selves with each other.
It was now a huge relief to have this pass them, so they can be brother and sister again and won’t let this whole ordeal disconcert their bruised relationship. It was bruised and wounded because of her deeds, and she wouldn’t stop until she rekindles it to newly healed. She hoped their kinship would survive and it would she was sure it will, but nothing could help with the addition emotion of hurt by what she hid from him. She could only pray that she was wrong.
Cindy looked up at her name being called by her brother, and frowned slightly in thought. When Oliver went on to her relieving the melancholy pressure inside herself, she grinned. Their liaison was still strong, but still has some issues to deal with. She absentmindedly started to rub the lunula of her fingernails. “Oli,” she said using her hypocorism for him. Well, it wasn’t really a pet name, but it was his nickname and she wanted to call it his hypocorism, so it had more meaning between them. “You’re such a salubrious pulchritude, Orv,” she said to him with affection. Basically stating the fact that he was a healthy physically fit boy though pulchritude meant beauty, but Oliver should know her by now to saying some things out of context. He had a perspicacity of people or he should.
“Time is a very living and fluid thing,” she concurred with a methodical saying she invented or thought she did. “Time doesn’t like to be battle with, don’t you think?” She ventured in asking her brother. She inclined her head and felt a little more proud than before. She felt better to say the less, and it was nice to see his grin again. “Which is why you’re a salubrious pulchritude with that smile,” she teased him.
"Right after we moved?"
It made her wince and cringed at the tone of his voice. She pursed her thoughts carefully. “Of course, you’re more into the perception of machinery and objects than you are of people or you would know about me sooner,” she simply said in a stoic voice and kept her expression neutral. Of course, deep down she was always a bit hurt by how Oliver kept keeping himself busy with figuring how stuff work, it made her jealous and she felt injured and ignored by his delight in those stuff. Cindy had a feeling Oliver knew how she got when she felt delinquency by others, especially by loved ones and family members.
"One of four Wright brothers, actually. Then again, most only know about Will and I."
That made her pause and think about the research she got from the Internet and history books about the Wright brothers. “Reuchlin, Lorin, Orville, and Wilbur,” she recalled their names. “Didn’t you have a sister? Katharine?” She asked him. At the question of other siblings, she flinched and was afflicted with loneliness and guilt. She barely even realizes that he brought up something he never did before now. She originally had nine siblings and only one survive into adulthood, her sister, Kittie. Kittie and her were never really close. “Nine.” The simple answer was as she spoke it before weariness hit her. “Kittie was the only one who didn’t die,” she explained sadly with a forlorn look on her face.

Oliver smiled as Cindy addressed him by the name 'Oli'. It was a name that only she and one other had used for him - The other being Kimaya Waldor from his science class. He could not help but feel an added affection and kinship toward Cindy, however, when she referred to him by his old nickname of Orv. It was more than just an address. It was an acceptance of who he was previous to Oliver Winchester. It meant that his sister was accepting him for who he was, then and now. A good sensation, to say the least, especially after three years of being convinced that his sister did not believe him and thought him to be crazy. "You have a way with words. So did Will. I should introduce you to him some time...you know, if I ever find him."[/color] Oliver indicated with a grin. In reality, though, he hated to think that he would never find Wilbur again. He appreciated what he had very much. Cindy was a fantastic older sister, and he'd tried his best to blend her into his old family. Obviously, it did not work out in the end, because try as he did, she simply did not belong there. However, she was his sister this time around, and he felt an immense affection toward her, just as he did toward Wilbur and Katharine, the two siblings he was closest to before. He still missed what he had, though, and hoped that he might find it some day. Oliver's next words set something off in Cindy, he could tell. Sure enough, she responded back in a nonchalant tone, but Oliver could see through it. Perhaps it was the eyes, and perhaps it was the fact that he'd lived with Cindy for all fourteen years of this lifetime, but he knew Cindy better than that. He knew that she wouldn't say those words unless there was some sort of feeling behind it. The words had an impact on him. He was too busy with his machines to pay attention to the trials and tribulations of his older sister. It hurt to be accused of this, but hurt even more so to realize that Cindy had a point. However, she was not one hundred percent absolved from blame either. "I might have also known about you sooner had you not blocked me off after I told you who I was."[/color] As true as her words were, so were his. She'd put up a wall after he came home from school that day with the good news that he'd discovered who he was. It had confused him, and though he had an explanation now, it could not instantly dissolve three years of strain in their relationship. That would have to be worked through. In the end, though, hopefully this experience would only leave their relationship stronger in the end. One could hope, right? Oliver smiled once more as Cindy recited the names of his siblings, and himself, from before. All four boys in the family, and his sister as well. The smile quickly faded when he saw how his returning question impacted Cindy. He opened his mouth, but before he could speak, Cindy proceeded to answer his question. Nine siblings? However, a slightly nauseating feeling set in as Cindy revealed that all but one sibling had died. "I...I'm sorry, C."[/color] These were the only words that Oliver could manage to get out. He reached out and put his arms around his sister. It did not matter at this point that she wasn't one of his original siblings.
