who's been painting my roses red? who dares to paint the vulgar paint the royal flower bed JUSTICE LOGAN ==================================== Okay, so maybe Justice wasn’t as happy as he should be, considering the recent birth of his nephews. Sylent was finally out of the hospital, the boys were healthy and adorable to boot. Grandma was being supportive as ever for Sylent and my god were Breezy and Journey excited to see the two babies. Jetsam and Floatsam were doing great and that at least was a start. But to be honest, Justice couldn’t seem to get his mind away from the events as they had transpired.
He had been there for Sylent through everything, like any loving brother. He was loyal, protective sure…but very loyal through her entire pregnancy and all the ordeals that came with it. Hayden was their father and by right, should have been there. But Justice couldn’t help but feel that no matter what he did he was being toyed with.
Sylent had gotten knocked up by this asshole and sure, Justice had been a bit rash punching him out like he had. Words couldn’t have explained his fury…but he had behaved well enough since. And his treatment was still not much better. Hayden pulled crap and Justice was there for Sylent. He didn’t hit the bastard, he didn’t hunt him down and cause him harm, No. Justice had did what Sylent wanted, leaving the dumb ass untouched. But yet, when he comes back and Justice tells him to leave to save Sylent the stress, suddenly Sylent treats him like the bad guy. When Hayden comes in, with not a word of apology, Justice, not Hayden, gets scolded for telling him to get out.
Then on top of that, after all Justice’s loyalty and after all his caring for Sylent throughout this pregnancy without asking anything in return, Hayden got to even hold the little amazing miracles first. Justice had been there for her through everything, had done everything for her and had been more loyal than was ever asked of him and now he was just the annoying brother who fought with the boyfriend. Sylent would have a fight with Hayden, Justice would play his part and support her and she would shove his face in the dirt so Hayden could use him as a door mat.
If not for the amazing birth of those two boys, who Justice was already so attached to, he would have blown up right then. In fact, after the way events unfolded, Justice wished he hadn’t held his temper in check. He didn’t get to be there for Sylent because she had pushed him away anyways, so why not at least remove that moment from Hayden too. Hayden instead had taken the moment’s worth away from Justice. He should have knocked him out and did as much damage as he could before getting pulled away and forced to leave. Hayden wouldn’t have been there to see his sons right away, he’d be instead in a hospital room himself, for injuries inflicted by Justice. But no, Justice had been obedient to what Sylent had wanted after her reaction from the first time Justice had been violent toward Hayden. And then, he was put on the back burner, just like every other time before.
And what was worse, Justice didn’t know what to do about it. He was frustrated, upset and he felt rather betrayed. He felt used and discarded, like he was the one thrown under the bus…the one to blame so that both Sylent and Hayden could be happy again. Justice wished he still had a relationship to care for, and he missed Lilian so bad it killed, but yet here was Sylent with a relationship that was a complete wreck. So he felt he couldn’t blame her for wanting a happy relationship but why was it that he had to be thrown around and his emotional wellbeing be the cost of Sylent’s happiness. Why was it no matter what Justice did, he was the scapegoat or at least the one the yelling and anger got directed at?
Justice was really lost in the whole ordeal as he sat on the front steps of the school. He was doodling as per usual, but he was disturbed to see that instead of drawing his usually happy Disney Characters, he had drawn the Disney Villains. And they were not traditional at all. Sure proportioning was accurate, but they were too dark to ever feature in a Disney film. With expressions that could curdle blood, and blood that suggested evil deeds, these were far more violent than his usual drawings. Seemed, even his work was being effected. He had found that since the Hospital he had only been able to draw villains with the exception of Flotsam and Jetsam. How he loved those two little boys…
Justice sighed and pulled out his pencil crayons, ready to colour in the evil sketch, which he found was dominated by blacks, reds and dark purples. Such was the traditional colours of evil after all. Sitting with the sketch pad in his lap and the pencil case open next to him, Justice couldn’t help but wish Hayden had gotten hit by a bus on his way to the hospital. Or at least gotten pummelled or mugged by some thugs. It would have made Justice’s life less confusing and hurtful for the time being.

Oliver didn't know what to do about the 'Cindy situation', as he'd come to call it. It was pretty bad when an attempt to help his sister through something huge backfired in his face so violently. He'd probably gone about it the wrong way, admittedly, but his sometimes glaringly large stubborn streak wasn't allowing him to admit this to himself. He should have talked to her about hang gliding first, to ask her if she was truly ready for it before he went ahead and bought the tickets. It was her choice of wording, though, that had really put Oliver on edge. It would be one thing if Cindy had simply stated that she wasn't ready for this. Instead, she lashed out at Oliver, and pretty much told him to mind his own business. Mind his own business when he hardly had the chance to see her lately! She didn't even visit the RSOR room much as of late. Oliver took his relationships with his siblings very seriously, and to be spurned off so easily hurt more than he wanted to admit. He was afraid of being abandoned, all but forgotten by two of the closest people to him in favor of each other. Oliver opted to test out one of his and Wilbur's remote control cars. The weather reflected his mood. The average June day was sunny and warm. This one was abnormally cold, with gray clouds looming overhead. It didn't look like any storms were on the horizon, but rain certainly looked to be a possibility. Oliver found that he really didn't care all that much. He was going to focus on that car. Tinkering could usually take him out of his funks, or at least offer a distraction. This wasn't tinkering, but rather testing the products of his tinkering, but the same effect was still in place. There was also the added bonus of this being one of the cars that both he and Wilbur tinkered with, and therefore he would need to discuss the results of the tests afterward with Wilbur. An inevitable date between Wilbur and Cindy would have to take the backburner then. The trials started off well enough. Whenever Oliver stopped and/or landed the car, he would jot down a few things into his notebook and start another trial. The car took flight almost flawlessly several times. It was near the front of the school where things took a decidedly more negative turn. As it turned out, one of the propellers on the remote control car wasn't fastened correctly to the car itself, and thus went flying off in mid flight. Oliver could only watch in horror as his attempts to correct failed miserably, and the car careened into the ground. Oliver swore. Oliver, as both Oliver Winchester and Orville Wright, rarely ever swore. It was a testament to his own dark mood that he was doing so now. He darted toward the wrecked car, picking up other bits and pieces that had come apart in the impact. To add insult to injury, the crash of the remote control car held eerie similarities to his plane crash in 1908 - the one that left him with several broken bones and pain that plagued him for the rest of his life. Absolutely beautiful. Oliver had started to gather up his things and place them into his backpack when he noted the presence of another. He tried to smile, realizing that he probably shouldn't take his bad mood out on Justice, as the junior had nothing to do with it. He even tried to be positive, not noting just yet that Justice wasn't exactly in the happiest of moods himself. "Congratulations on your nephews..." Good start. Word count: 630 To: Jez-E/Justice Notes: Being in a somewhat negative mood myself at the moment...this post was relatively easy to type, and kinda worked as a bit of catharsis. Wewt. XD

who's been painting my roses red? who dares to paint the vulgar paint the royal flower bed JUSTICE LOGAN ==================================== Justice didn’t notice Oliver’s approach to the front yard of the school, but he did look up in time to see the plane crash. He had considered approaching and helping Oliver with clean up but decided against it when he witnessed the mood Oliver appeared to be in. Justice had always been good at reading people and Oliver was like a book with his emotions most of the time. So Justice chose to keep his distance unless Oliver decided to head over. Though, to be honest, Justice wasn’t entirely sure he wanted the company anyway.
It was hard for Justice to complain to others about his circumstances a lot of the time. He often kept it between him and the parties involved, oh and his wife when she had been alive, but lately it was proving to be a drag on his mentality. That would probably play a factor in the conversation that would surely follow Oliver’s approach.
Justice almost didn’t notice even knowing Oliver was right there. He was coloring in the blood all over Maleficient’s robes when Oliver approached and Justice looked up as Oliver spoke. Despite his very rotten mood he couldn’t help the smile that approached. However, to anyone who had known Justice long enough to understand the differences between his smiles, it would appear a bit off kilter.
When Justice smiled, it was genuine and friendly. He was naturally that way and it was his approach at life. When he was sad his eyes spoke wonders of difference and lost their glimmer, despite the smile on his face. And when he was angry his eyes were darker and much more detached from the smile he was giving. In this instance, he was happy, while hurting badly inside. The resulting smile was a genuine smile…but only for moments before the world reset back to what it was. ”Thank you Oliver…Floatsam and Jetsam are definitely little miracles.”
Justice responded. He knew that despite his currently hurt feelings and his angry reaction he should be civil with Oliver. The problem with Justice’s expression, despite Justice’s knowledge, was that it was swapping between hurt and anger. He didn’t know how to handle it quite yet, and as a result he was trying to figure out what was best to deal with and when. His sister had been through a lot lately so he couldn’t just spell it out and flip on her for something like this. Hayden was another story, but Justice was coming to see something else in Hayden he hadn’t understood before. That something, was simply put…that Hayden was similar to Justice in many ways. Hayden wasn’t as old…no. And certainly far from being as mature. But he had Sylent’s interests at heart, was blind to any problems when Sylent was concerned, had a hard time seeing the bad things he brought to Sylent and also a distinct interesting in caring for Floatsam and Jetsam. The difference was, Justice had experience and Hayden was just a boy. Hayden had never been a father and he had already shown he was barely more than a child himself. What was Nellie thinking!? Snapping himself back, Justice gave Oliver a friendly, but empty, smile. ”I saw the plane crash. Was anyone wounded?” He asked, trying to keep the humour light but not too forceful or negative. ”You can fix the damages right?” He asked, with a slight bit of concern, even though he knew Oliver had it covered. He dropped the smile a moment considering how to approach the next issue… ”I couldn’t help but notice…you don’t seem to be yourself today…is something bothering you?” He asked, putting down the pencil in the pencil case next to him with a light click of wood on wood. He had finished colouring Maleficient and Ursula but had quite a ways to go on Jafar, The Queen of Hearts, Scar and the Old Hag version of the Queen from Snow White. But at least all the blood was coloured in.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Oliver Winchester •• •• Words • 667 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "Who’s been painting my Roses Red?" Oliver could tell almost instantly from the smile that Justice returned to him that the junior was feeling conflicted as well. It was reflected in his eyes. He wondered what was bothering Justice, by at the same time thought it might be rude to ask, especially when they were on the subject of his nephews. "Floatsam and Jetsam? Your nicknames for your nephews? I assume those aren't their real names..." He actually had a smile on his face at this point, though. Nicknames meant a lot. If it happened to be a nickname from a bully, it could be a powerful weapon if factors aligned the right way. On the other hand, in this instance, a nickname could be a term of endearment. The Wright family was huge on nicknames, and thus he could recognize such a nickname with ease. Justice was quite attached to his nephews already. The smile quickly shifted into a frown when Oliver recalled that his past nephews (and nieces) were dead. It was something that he usually did not let bother him unless he was in the right mood, and everything seemed to weight on him today. Still, he wasn't going to take that out on Justice. It was back when Justice made a quip about the plane crash. He had a feeling the entire conversation would be like this - A roller coaster. He didn't entirely mind it, however. It was better, when in a mood such as the one that he was in, to have brief moments of amusement to distract him. "Well, if I were in a crash like that, I'd say there would be at least one fatality, and the pilot would be carried away with a broken leg, a concussion, fractured ribs, and a sprained back. But what do I know?" Well, okay, so that wasn't entirely amusing. He did have a small grin on his face at the end, but a small-scale crash that reminded him so much of the real crash that had affected him so much in his past life...it was really hard to joke about that, as much as he wanted to. The prospect of fixing the damages, though, was enough to at last bring a genuine grin to Oliver's face. He didn't particularly like that there were damages in the first place, but while they were there, Oliver was going to do his best to fix them. It was what he did. Worse came to worse he would make a new one, hopefully with Wilbur's help. That brought another smile to Oliver's face. Then the inevitable happened, and Justice inquired as to what was wrong. Oliver should have expected this - He usually wasn't in this sort of mood. "Well, I got into an argument with my sister..." Oliver bit down on his lip as he slid his hands into his pockets after he was done picking up the last of the parts. Oliver wasn't entirely sure what he was feeling, to be honest - He just knew that it wasn't pleasant. Anyone looking at the situation objectively would probably realize that Oliver was frustrated more than anything else. His attempt to console his sister, to help her get over one of her greatest fears, had not only backfired in his face but resulted in his sister insulting him and all but telling him not to interfere with her life. Everything was moving around. Wilbur and Cindy were spending so much time together lately, and even Kate was acting weird, not saying much save for on her occasional visits to the dorm he shared with Darwin and Wilbur. It felt like three of the closest people to him were slipping away, and there wasn't much that he could do about it. At least he shared a dorm with Wilbur, so there wasn't as much to worry about there. Wilbur wasn't slipping away as much as Cindy and Kate were, or so it seemed. Oliver wasn't the only one going through a tumult of emotions, however. As Oliver caught a glimpse of what Justice was drawing, his eyes widened in surprise. It wasn't Justice's usual, that was for sure. If Oliver had learned anything about Walt Disney in this life, it was that his moods and thoughts were often reflected in his drawings. Given how violent and bleak the drawing was...well, it was pretty darn clear that Justice was going through some conflicted thoughts himself. "What about you? Villains aren't your usual first choice." He gestured toward the drawing. Justice didn't have to say anything if he didn't want to, really, but Oliver had spoken up...it only seemed fair that Justice do the same. who's been painting my roses red? who dares to paint the vulgar paint the royal flower bed JUSTICE LOGAN ==================================== Justice was aware of how easy he was to read. As a result he didn’t want to bring up his own miserable circumstance unless Oliver was good to hear it. Justice welcomed the distraction of Oliver’s problems, even if he did feel bad that his friend had any problems to begin with. Everyone needed someone to talk to every now and then and it was a good thing for Justice to offer Oliver an outlet. Or at least it was his intentions to be a good friend and give Oliver that chance.
Justice nodded to the nickname comment. ”They were named after superheroes instead of Disney characters because that is what Hayden wanted.”
The way he said Hayden spoke wonders of his issues. His hatred for Hayden came up to the surface and was made evident when he mentioned the asshole who was the core of all of Justice’s problems. ”They named them Remy and Tony.” Justice offered. ”Jetsam and Floatsam became their nicknames when I saw them. I consider other twins in the Disney Movies I love, but Floatsam and Jetsam just felt right.” Justice explained. Justice knew right away the conversation would have its ups and downs. He knew it would go from the bads to light humour and fun, and then back again. It was just part of dealing with something bad to be honest. Especially, something extremely upsetting like what was going on in Justice’s life. It was just that emotionally confusing. Justice gave a wry smile to Oliver’s damage report. He didn’t miss the irony of it. Upon meeting RSOR members, Justice often tried to research them and figure out what he could. The particular list didn’t get lost on him that way. Justice wasn’t sure how Oliver could joke about it, but he didn’t mind if Oliver didn’t. After all, it wasn’t Justice that the joke effected. Justice also recognized that he had reminded Oliver that he had work he could do that would be fun. Much like Justice preferred the process of animation and the sketching and colouring of creating a one panel cartoon to the final product; Oliver loved the creation of planes and other such flying mobile objects. Not to mention surely he would work on it with another plane enthusiast that Justice could think of that Oliver generally spent time around. Justice paused when Oliver mentioned his sister. ”Oh? And what reason would you and Cindy have to fight…well other than being siblings. If you don’t want to talk about it, feel free to tell me. I understand if it’s personal.” Justice offered, with a sympathetic look that showed he understood the feeling. After all, he and Sylent may not have fought but the feeling was similar to one that comes when they did have a spat. He knew how badly it sucked to be on the outs with your family or siblings, especially when you cared deeply for them. If Justice knew just how similar their problems were, he would have laughed right then. Both of them were in the middle of a fight of sorts, but on top of that both were feeling left behind or left out. Justice’s was more a feeling of betrayal in the end though. It was sure to come up eventually if the two kept talking. Justice noted the look of surprise that popped up on Oliver’s face and paused a moment to consider why it would be there. That was when he glanced down and reminded himself that his sketch would easily warrant that reaction. It wasn’t like he was often drawing villains, let alone gore covered villains with faces much darker and more evil than he would ever let his nephews see before their 12th birthdays. Justice gave him a sad smile before glanced back at the drawing. ”Mixed feelings I guess. I mean, I am so happy to have my two nephews in the world now, but how events transpired the other day at the hospital leave me questioning a few things and concerned about others…And to say I want to hurt Hayden badly is an understatement…Here, should I tell my story first, or do you want to tell yours?” Justice asked, meeting Oliver’s eyes again.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Oliver Winchester •• •• Words • 706 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "Who’s been painting my Roses Red?" Oliver was fairly easy to read as well. It was what had landed him in trouble with Anti-RSOR on more than one occasion. He knew it to some extent too, which was why he'd tried to avoid the Anti-RSOR like the plague over the past couple of months. He didn't want to chance the group taking advantage of his awkwardness again, and trying to get him to say things that he would regret almost instantly after saying them. Since his ability to play things off left something to be desired, it was just a bad situation all around. When Justice spoke of Hayden, Oliver could hear the contempt in Justice's voice. He didn't approve of something with Hayden, and it wasn't just those names. A flash of bewilderment came across Oliver's features, though as soon as the conversation went back to normal, so did Oliver's expression. "Is that why you're drawing villains, then?" It would sort of make sense, given that Floatsam and Jetsam were the henchmen to the Disney villain known as Ursula, but even so, there was more to it than that and Oliver could tell. The picture Justice was working on was dark. It wasn't happy, and it didn't even have Floatsam and Jetsam in it. Oliver wanted to joke more about the 'plane crash', but he couldn't do it. Not with the circumstances the way that they were. Oliver was a huge proponent of the 'if you don't laugh you cry' movement, but even he had his limitations. The crash had taken a physical toll on him before. He even found it difficult to drive long distances because of the pain. Plus, the subject came back to Cindy. At the sound of her name, any desire to make any joke whatsoever faded, and was replaced by an almost dark look. "I tried to help her, and she told me I was trying to control her life. That's what happened." Oliver's tone at first matched Justice's in the level of anger it displayed, but as Oliver finished off his explanation, there was hurt evident in his voice. Isabella told him he'd gone about it the wrong way, and maybe he had, but talking to him like that? Oliver felt left out of a lot of things lately, and his attempt to get involved with something had backfired in his face. Why wouldn't he be upset? Alison clearly had something on her mind that she wasn't talking to him about, and rarely even talked to him outside of the dorm he shared with Will and Darwin. Isabella would say nothing about the Wizard issue, and none of the other leaders panel would either. Cindy and Wilbur were spending all sorts of time with each other. On their own, these issues might not seem so bad. Together? They grated into him. Here, though, he finally had a chance to talk to someone, someone who would listen, someone who wasn't involved and, judging by his own tone and mood, might even understand. Sure, he had Lenita, but he didn't want to push all of this off on his girlfriend. The last thing he wanted was to lose her too. "Still on the outs with Hayden?" If wanting to hurt Hayden badly was an understatement...well, all signs pointed to yes. It was now Justice's turn to tell his story, and Oliver was perfectly willing to listen. "What happened at the hospital?" Obviously his twin nephews were born, but other events had to have transpired for Justice to have this sort of reaction... who's been painting my roses red? who dares to paint the vulgar paint the royal flower bed JUSTICE LOGAN ==================================== Justice paused for a moment, considering how best to answer Oliver. It was clear he wasn’t just drawing Villains for no reason. He also didn’t have a reason not to tell Oliver. ”It’s a little complicated. I guess you could say I am not feeling the greatest right now, and I figure it’s pretty evident.”
he started to explain. He wasn’t sure how to explain without telling the whole story, so it was sort of inevitable that he would tell it. Hearing Oliver’s problems, Justice couldn’t help but feel like he wasn’t alone. He was feeling like shit and it turns out the phrase ‘misery loves company’ is definitely true. Justice even felt guilty for taking some comfort in his friend’s discomfort and tried to shrug off the feeling and make it go away. It wasn’t like he was happy that Oliver was in a situation, just that he wasn’t the only one who was and therefore he wasn’t going to unload himself without doing the same for someone else. Of course, it didn’t seem Oliver was really ready to talk about it just yet. Justice wasn’t sure if it was just the fact that Cindy got angry at him that was the only reason Oliver was upset or not, but it almost felt like it had to be something more. People fought all the time and it didn’t really mean it would foul a mood as much as Oliver’s mood appeared fouled. No, it must be something more…right? Justice laughed in a way that just didn’t happen often. His laugh was bitter and full of loathing. ”On the outs? Talk about an understatement…” Justice wasn’t pleased at all with the way events had transpired. Not at all! And Hearing Oliver asked, he decide that since Oliver was clearly struggling to say anything about his problem, that Justice could go first. ”Well…we all gathered there because the twins were on their way. It was a bit early as you know, but it was me, Chess and Sylent. Our parents and grandmother got kicked out for being too frantic and emotional if you will. Everything was going fine and they were prepping her for surgery because it was decided she was going to have a C-section.” Justice paused a moment, enjoying at least that part of the story. That was the part before the asshole barged in. As a result, Justice’s tone darkened. ”Then Hayden showed up. I have no idea how he knew she was there, but he showed up where he didn’t belong. They had fought and it wasn’t pretty and Sylent had nothing to do with him for quite a chunk of time. And then he shows up, stressing her out and I told him to leave. I wasn’t nice about it either, but he didn’t deserve it after the way he stormed out when they fought before this. I must have told him two or three times to get out…and I think I did well containing my temper. I was quite ready to force him out…and then Sylent turns around and says he can stay.” Justice’s eyes lost their anger and appeared quite upset instead. ”So Hayden is allowed to stay, I muttered to him that I should have made sure he couldn’t be there. And I really wish I had hurt him bad enough to hospitalize him with the way things went from there. And of course, Sylent gets angry at me for telling Hayden to leave, and at me for causing her apparent stress. She got angry with me for telling him to get out…She needs to make up her mind. Does she want the bastard around or not, and when I act upon what her apparent wishes are on the matter, I’d really appreciate it if I didn’t have to feel like I was the bad guy.” Justice shook his head irritably. ”So she goes in the babies are born and that jackass not only gets to hold them first, Sylent forgives him and I am back to being just the brother sitting in the corner waiting his turn. I listened to her wishes and didn’t harm Hayden after the last time when I punched him…I managed my temper and as a result I got yelled at and placed on the back burner behind the asshole. I understand they are his kids, but he walked out on his pregnant girlfriend and his kids after that fight and wanted nothing to do with them…and then he shows up out of the blue, I get yelled at and I don’t get to hold my nephews until he finally, reluctantly, handed them over.” Justice shook his head. ”That asshole, who treated Sylent like shit, who caused her more grief then help got to hold my nephews before I did, when I was loyal and there for her whenever she needed me. And then like always, I was ignored and left to the side as soon as he was back. I am not someone she can toy with and discard once he comes back every time, and yet it keeps happening that way.” Justice sighed. ”The worst part is I don’t know who to be angry at. It’s not Hayden’s fault she keeps doing this to me, even if he is the cause. And at the same time, I understand the feelings when you care about someone and how they automatically come first over everyone else. But I don’t like being treated like a piece of trash…” Justice glanced over at Oliver again. ”So…how about you?” He asked, not wanting to think about his own issues. But it was clear by this point he was feeling quite betrayed and cast aside.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Oliver Winchester •• •• Words • 953 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "Who’s been painting my Roses Red?" Justice's first statement elicited a shrug. "About as evident as it is with me, I'm sure." Oliver could get into moods at times, but usually these moods were short lived. It was also extremely rare to see Oliver in a bad mood while tinkering or testing the products of his tinkering. Just like it was extremely rare to see Justice creating such a dark picture. The corners of Oliver's lips twitched just slightly at the 'talk about an understatement'. As Justice began his explanation, Oliver could tell with ease that Justice was simply setting up the back story. There was nothing wrong with this part of the story, and it even showed in Justice's demeanor. He almost seemed to be enjoying telling that part of the story. However, it seemed as though everything blew up once Hayden arrived. Oliver looked contemplative as he listened to Justice speak on the matter. See, Hayden happened to be a friend of Oliver's as well, and he knew very well that Hayden could be...well, a bit oblivious at times. He was also well aware that Hayden was the father, and that as the father he really did deserve to be there for the birth of his children. He didn't know too many of the details behind the fight, so he couldn't really give his input on that either. Still, whether Sylent and Hayden remained on the outs or not, it did make sense for Hayden to be there for the birth of his sons. He was the father, whether Justice and Sylent liked it or not. Did he say any of this? Of course not! Because as Justice continued, he could understand what the other boy was feeling. It was not so different from how he felt himself. In fact, he didn't say anything until Justice remarked on not knowing who to blame. That was an all too familiar feeling as well. "I'd say the entire situation is what's to blame. It's just one thing on top of another. I don't really feel right commenting on something that I don't know that much about..." Not to mention he really didn't know what to say. He thought about suggesting that Justice go talk to Sylent, but it sounded as though things needed to cool off a bit before that was taken care of. Besides, Justice was addressing Oliver now. This meant that Oliver would be throwing it right back at Justice. He let out a sigh, gathering his thoughts for a few seconds before starting his own diatribe. "I bought tickets for Cindy, W-Nate, Lenita, and I to go hang-gliding. I told Cindy, and she blew up at me. I'm not just talking a 'I don't want to hang glide', because I was kind of expecting that, and was going to tell her that hey, I wanted her to come along, but no one was going to force her to do it unless she was ready. I just wanted to try to help her, to show her that there was nothing to be afraid of. Instead, she called me a moron and threatened me." Though Oliver looked upset at this, it was nothing compared to the look on Oliver's face as he vented his feelings on the next part of the conversation. "She told me that I was trying to take over her life. All for simply wanting to do something with her. You know, I haven't spent much time at all with her lately. I was thinking 'hey, maybe we could all get together and do something', but instead I get my head bitten off for it." Oliver gritted his teeth a little before he continued on. "How can I take over her life when I hardly see her? When she's always busy with dates and friends?" Most teenagers wouldn't care. Oliver Winchester wasn't most teenagers. To him, family was sacred. The Wright family had been extremely close before, and Oliver craved that. Not only was it nice, but it offered a feeling of security in a world where he could sometimes simultaneously felt as though he both belonged and did not belong. The idea that Cindy was drifting away from him again, so soon after he'd gotten her back, so soon after they'd made up...well, it killed him. That wasn't all, though. Of course it wasn't all. His mood was a culmination of a variety of factors. "Lissy won't talk to me either. The only time she'll say more than a few sentences is when she comes to visit our dorm. Other than that, it almost seems like she's going out of her way to avoid me. It doesn't make any sense. It almost seems like she's hiding something, but why would she hide something from me?" Try as he might, Oliver could not hide the feeling of betrayal in his last sentence. "Any time I ask Isa about The Wizard she tells me she can't tell me anything or she'll have to kill me...and while I don't think she'll go that far, it's clear she doesn't want to say a word on it. I feel so out of the loop lately..." Oliver finished off with an almost defeated sigh. He looked at Justice, feeling a bit guilty for taking the focus off of Justice when Justice had plenty of his own problems as well. He blinked a few times, trying to think of what he could say to Justice. "How does Sylent feel on the matter?" After all, he really didn't know if Justice had breached the matter with Sylent yet... Word count: 974 To: Jez-E/Justice Notes: ...well. who's been painting my roses red? who dares to paint the vulgar paint the royal flower bed JUSTICE LOGAN ==================================== Justice nodded in agreement as Oliver mentioned it would be evident with him as well. Justice knew as much, having noticed it in Oliver himself. It didn’t take a rocket scientist to see that both of them were pretty upset or angry. Oliver, being Orville Wright, was always happy when dealing with anything flying, so it wasn’t hard to see the discomfort or irritation.
Justice had quite a decent beginning to the events in the Hospital. He loved his sister and now he loved his nephews, it was the father who always seemed to cause the problems. But even so, it was Sylent’s reaction that caused the real problem. Though, it truly had blown up once Hayden had arrived.
Justice would not contest that Hayden was the father and as such had a right to see his sons when they were born, but if it stressed out the pregnant woman already struggling with bringing those children into this world, then it wasn’t right for him to be there. Which was why Justice had told him to leave in the beginning…he knew Oliver would bring in a new perspective, but it was really the reaction that followed that caused him the real problem and grief. To be there and be there and then thrown aside every time, Justice felt like he was being used. That was the best way to view it.
Justice nodded at Oliver’s response. ”It sucks because I know Hayden can’t be held completely responsible for those events…its more the combine reaction that resulted. It seems no matter how I handle things, I am the bad guy. No matter whether I am trying to help Sylent or not…I am simply the bad guy…”
Justice shook his head. He hated feeling on the outs, but feeling like the bad guy was just as nasty of a feeling. Justice was now in the position to listen. And it seemed he had tried to do Cindy a favour to Justice, or at least initially. He probably should have talked to her about it first, but all the same…He had clearly left it open. It seemed to Justice more like a misunderstanding there. But he truly did understand. It was like Oliver and Justice were really going through the same thing in a way. Justice didn’t know how to prevent Sylent from leaving him behind and no matter what he did it never worked. Oliver was having the same with Cindy. Justice didn’t realize that there was more though, and was surprised that Oliver continued. And then the Wizard issue came on to the field as well. That was another issue altogether, but Justice was also out of the loop. That much was very clear. ”I think Cindy is a misunderstanding…I don’t think she knew just how open it was. Or at least I hope that is the case.” Justice started out, though his tone was completely understanding. He knew how Oliver was feeling. As for Alison…he didn’t know the cause. And The Wizard stuff had everyone out of the loop. Justice didn’t put much thought into the whole Wizard problem, mostly because as of yet it didn’t affect him much. The posts had been mostly harmless so far, with not much stock. It concerned him that the person must be in RSOR, but other than that he didn’t mind being out of the loop. So Justice explained… ”I am not sure what is up with Alison, but Isa is smart not to tell anyone about ‘The Wizard’ stuff. The leader’s panel needs to keep their plans quiet. The Wizard is in RSOR, they just don’t want him or her to find out what they are doing about it. They trust you well enough, but you also crack badly under pressure…so it is perhaps better that you and everyone else doesn’t know…” Justice smiled apologetically. Justice found the topic back on him and he smiled sadly. ”I haven’t asked. She is going through a rough time at the moment. She’s only been back from the hospital a few days and we still don’t know if Postpartum Depression is a possible problem. Not to mention her life just had a dramatic change. I am going to let her adjust to it before I say anything. I just don’t want to be a bother to her.”[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Oliver Winchester •• •• Words • 722 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "Who’s been painting my Roses Red?" While Oliver did offer a more objective perspective, he could still understand where Justice was coming from, and knew how terrible the other guy felt. "Exactly. It's the culmination of everything that happened that led to this point." The same case for Oliver, really. Frustration after frustration had built up, and when Cindy snapped at him, he'd exploded. He normally would have gotten a bit testy, yes, maybe even snapped back, but Oliver did more than snap back. He'd hung up on her. She didn't even have the chance to apologize, though Oliver wasn't sure if Cindy would really want to or not. Was she as bothered by this as he was? He hoped he wasn't the only one who felt terrible about this. Not because he wanted Cindy to feel terrible necessarily, but because he didn't want to think that this didn't matter to her. If this didn't bother her like it bothered him, it would only serve to prove Oliver's point, therefore making him feel that much worse. Oliver couldn't help but smirk a little at Justice's explanation that he felt as though he kept being brushed off as the bad guy. "Well that would explain the Disney villains..." He commented quietly. A misunderstanding. Justice explained that he situation with Cindy was probably that, and he was probably right. The same could be said about Justice, though. He didn't think that Sylent saw her twin as the bad guy, and...well, Oliver didn't know about Hayden. He didn't know anyone's perspective on this other than Justice, but the fact remained that he knew all three players involved. Oliver didn't see Hayden upset much, but that didn't mean that it didn't happen. Maybe both guys really were at each other's throats the entire time. "I hope it's a misunderstanding too." Oliver murmured quietly. "I only wanted us to get together to have some fun. Take a break from everything that school's brought our way lately." It was getting to be that time of year where everything was coming down on them at once. A chance to get away and have a mini vacation would definitely be a plus. Most importantly, though, he'd be spending a lot of time with three people he loved - Wilbur/Nate, Cindy, and Lenita. Worst part was, now he had four tickets and didn't know what to do with them. He supposed he could ask someone else to go along if Cindy didn't want to, but if Cindy didn't go, would Wilbur want to? The thought caused Oliver to tense up at once, his eyes narrowing a little. Talk about adding insult to injury. If they both ditched him... "Think that may be the case for you and Sylent too. I really don't think she means to purposely make you feel this way." Well duh, of course she didn't. Did that really make it any better, though? Oliver knew that Cindy didn't always mean to push him off to the side for other adventures, but it still bothered him when it happened. Worst part was, his mind kept flashing back to a comment Cindy had made months before - That Oliver, in the past, had failed to notice very key evidence about her and who she was because he was preoccupied with his projects. Was this payback for that? Had he really been that bad? "I can understand the Wizard thing more than anything else. Just wish K...Lissy would say something to me. If something's bothering her, I'd like to be able to help. If not, then why is she keeping secrets from me?" Oliver went from sounding merely frustrated to bitter. Had he known the circumstances, he would understand a lot more Alison's actions. If he knew that she was having qualms about having to keep her mouth shut about all of this herself, he would have let off. But this was ridiculous. Why the sudden change in her demeanor? Oliver chose to ignore the comment about his cracking easily under pressure. He knew it was true, but he also knew that if he did acknowledge it verbally he'd probably snap again, and the last thing he wanted to do was snap at one of the few people who was willing to listen to him and allow him to vent. Just the fact that his own awkwardness was part of the reason he was being left out wasn't pleasant to him in any way. Oliver frowned at once when Justice mentioned why he hadn't talked to Sylent yet. Well, that was a bit problematic. He was also left to wonder how Sylent was coping with everything that was going on in her life. He'd never experienced being a parent before. He enjoyed children, but all the important children to him in his first life he'd been able to hand back to their parents (usually Reuchlin, Lorin, or their wives). Sylent (and to some extent Hayden) were now saddled with two children while in their teens, two children that would need constant caring for. Oliver wasn't sure if he'd even be able to handle it once he reached a more stable position and age again. Now, though? In high school? He didn't envy Sylent or Hayden for that part. "I can understand that. She needs a bit of time to adjust. Still...I think you should put it on your to do list. She won't know what to do about it if she doesn't know what's going on." Oliver was coming to realize that talking to Cindy might be a good idea, but he wasn't so sure that he was ready for it yet...or that he wanted to take the first step. Should Cindy be the one to do so instead? He still felt she was in the wrong for snapping at him, so he was inclined to say her. Oliver let out a sigh, quickly pulling out a notebook and jotting a few things down into it. "Need to see what I need to fix the plane..." He commented, in an attempt to distract himself from his less pleasant trains of thought. who's been painting my roses red? who dares to paint the vulgar paint the royal flower bed JUSTICE LOGAN ==================================== Justice didn’t comment on the Disney Villians comment, because logically it made sense. Feel like a villain, identify with villains, sketch villains. Though, Justice didn’t feel like one of the villains. The queen of hearts was simply put, a bitch. Maleficent meant to be evil, she didn’t care that the evil she did was wrong, in fact she quite enjoyed it. Jafar knew what he was doing was wrong…how could taking over a kingdom be right? And in Snow White the Evil Queen merely wanted to be the most beautiful of them all, but that in itself meant she was greedy and therefore evil. No, Justice felt that he had done was far from evil. His intentions were not evil, his means was not evil, and the result was far from evil.
”I can’t see it being anything else. And I really don’t see my circumstance being intentional on anyone’s part. But it doesn’t really change the feeling.”
Justice responded with a sigh. One thing was certain at least, Oliver understood the feeling. The issue more so was the fact that it still hurt, and miscommunication or not, it was a lasting problem that still needed fixing. ”I wish I knew. But to tell the truth, I haven’t seen much of her lately. I have seen her in class but other than that, as far as I can tell, she seems to be keeping to herself.” Justice said, ignoring the K that came before Lissy. He didn’t know much about Alison yet and had only been introduced to her a short time ago. All he did know was that she didn’t want anyone knowing about her associations with RSOR. So as a result, he didn’t know her well and respected her wish to remain anonymous. Justice found comfort in being out of the loop. He didn’t have any secrets to keep, he had no reason to concern himself with what was going on, it was peaceful. Though, to be honest, there were irritating aspects to it too. Sure, Justice had moments where he didn’t know how to react or respond because of lack of information, and that was irritating. But he also lacked the responsibility required with that information. He was definitely pleased he didn’t have a spot on the leader’s panel. That is a responsibility he was happy to leave to someone else. Mostly cause it had supernatural aspects to it. He was fine with the responsibility of running a country, but being responsible for so many historical bad asses, grand masters, intellectual geniuses and crazed criminals didn’t sound like a great spot to be in. Justice nodded, ”I will definitely add that to the to do list.”. He easily agreed seeing as it was on his to do list long before Oliver suggested as much. He didn’t say so, but it was still an issue of when. When would Sylent be able to handle hearing it? And when was it safe to ask? But also, when was it too late and time to let it go instead? God social things were complicated. ”But you also have to add talking to Cindy to your to do list. Deal?” Justice added.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ==================================== •• Tag • Oliver Winchester •• •• Words • 531 •• •• Outfit • CLICK •• •• Lyrics • "Who’s been painting my Roses Red?" Oliver hadn't meant to call Justice a villain by any means. His comment was referring to the fact that villains reflected a dark mood. He didn't see Justice as a villain, or himself as a villain. And, of course, they weren't. Reality was almost never that clear cut. Sure, most people could brand serial killers and rapists as 'real life' villains, and in reality, most were, but most people weren't serial killers or rapists. Most people were just going through life (or, in the case of 40% of Riverdale High...Oliver and Justice included) taking what was handed to them and reacting accordingly. "I don't really see my circumstance being intentional either..." Well, there was one person who's motives to cause trouble were intentional, but Oliver had no idea just how in depth The Wizard's games were messing with his life. That was perhaps the worst part. Oliver didn't really expect Justice to have any more information than he did on the matter of Alison, though he still had to let out a sigh of frustration when it was confirmed. Yes, he'd held out a little hope that Justice might have something for him to go on. Really, the only thing he had to go on with Alison acting weird was Isa's strange reaction when he said that he thought it might be Errol, and that he'd tell Errol to leave her alone if he was bothering her. "It's not like her to keep to herself at all..." It was more like him, honestly, though he'd been thrust into a position where he couldn't really keep to himself. RSOR was forcing both Alison and Oliver into roles that went against their natural urges when it came to socializing, which was quite funny when one thought about it. While Oliver wasn't a big fan of the actual recruiting prospect (which Alison would probably love), he did enjoy the end result...so at least that was good. Oliver hated the feeling of being left out, but at the same time, he wasn't sure if he'd really be able to handle the responsibilities of being a leader either. He enjoyed his freedom to do what he wanted. When he ran his own company after Wilbur's death, he had not done a very good job at it. He clearly disliked his position, and would leave important paperwork undone so that he could go down into the factor and become more involved with the manufacturing process. This, along with his awkward nature, did not make him a prime candidate for the leader's panel, if one had to be honest about it. The only reason he was good at recruiting was that he was good at spotting the signs of someone who was a reincarnate. He was observant of things that were out of the ordinary. The actually recruiting was nervewracking almost every time, but...the end results made it worth it. The sheer feeling of relief and accomplishment afterward... Oliver smiled as Justice mentioned that talking to Sylent would be on his to do list. The smile faded just a tad as Justice mentioned that Oliver needed to talk to Cindy to complete the deal, but then he sighed and nodded. He knew that Justice was right, but facing up to it was the hard part. "Deal. I should probably talk to Lissy at some point too, then. I guess I should take things one at a time, though." He just wished there were some way he could get all of these issues over with at once. Too bad life didn't have an easy button like in the Staples commercials. "In the mean time, I hope to see more of the classic Disney characters in your work again." He smiled a little.
